CFP Channel browsing gives problem in exe

We have configuration screen in which user can assign CFP channels for specific data acquisition. For browse purpose we are using "FieldPoint IO Point" control.
In VI everything works fine. But if I create Exe, if I select "bwowse" option then brows window doesn't pop up.
We found it is searching for "rtd_getdevice.vi".
If anybody knows solution ,please let me know.

The FP file is a copy of what i have on my computer. I also have used the "network" version of the file. The problem occurs when pressing the Browse button and works fine as long as it's not an executable.

Hi guys,
I created a project and added "Cont Acq&Graph Voltage-To File(Binary).vi" example in Labview 8.6. Then I tried to build an exe file using the default options. This is the result as you can see from the screenshot. I've tried this with several examples, result is always the same. If I run the source code,everything works fine. The problem is with .exe only.
Can anyone please tell me how to solve this problem? Is it another bug or I am too sleepy?I need to use this "DAQmx Create Virtual Channel" vi in my application. Any help is appreciated.

Dear Jeff,
I've read your reply and checked the block diagram again after having a long sleep. :-) As you said, the channels I create are deployed when I build the exe. But this is not what I need. I need the "browse dialog" to appear when I click the "browse...".
As I mentioned before, when I run the .vi file, it works fine, but it doesn't when I run the .exe file,instead it shows that error message as you can see from the previous attachment. I am attaching block diagram of NI's example for your reference. I think there is nothing wrong with the example. It is either some settings I am missing, or another bug as seen with CFP channel.

Oracle 10g express edition browser login problem

I installed oracle 10g express edition and after installing successfully logged in browser , unlocked hr login and also created one form then I shutdown the database and rebooted my pc and since then when I try to login to "go to Database Home page" after starting database , I get a cookie 127.0.0.1 with username and password, First of all I am not sure what username/password it is expecting, I believe it requires my Windows XP username and password , I tried to enter couple of times my pc login username which has administrator privileges, I also checked it has ora_dba group but after entering pc username , password browser opens saying "unauthorized". I created another os user and tried with that still same. I tried entering oracle password "SYSTEM" and password for it but still could not login, I tried HR username password still nothing.
I tried disabling firewall but still same issue. I tried to re-install two time but still same .
Start database dos prompt does show all the process are started successfully .
I also did ping for 127.0.0.1 and it does ping.
I tried everything what I knew.
Can anyone please help me ..to resolve this issue .

This is how I resolved the browser login problem .
I checked the listener log
C:\OracleXE\app\oracle\product\10.2.0\server\NETWORK\log
And found the error
TNS-12542: TNS:address already in use
TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error
TNS-00512: Address already in use
I have another version for oracle installed on my pc .
I ended both the oracle process (Oracle.exe) through the Task Manager
Then manually started OracleServiceXe service through Component Services
Control Panel Performance & Maintenance Administrative Component Services
Then did following
Programs Oracle Database10g ExpressEdition Start Database
Programs Oracle Databse10g ExpressEdition Go to Database Homepage
Enter username SYSTEM
Enter password xxxxxx whatever given at the time of installing.
And I did successfully login to the browser .
Hope this will help to those of you who have run into similar problem which I faced

Browser display problem in firefox

After reinstall Vibe 3.3 to new server. Browser display problem in firefox. Last column only display half in the table. But IE is display fine. Any suggestion?

According to the bug report it was found in 3.3, so either they had this problem before or they used an older version firefox than 16 prior to the server migration.

How to handle Back button, Browser Refresh problem at server side in java?.
I am able to trace that,
request.getHeader("ACCEPT") is returning value- */*
when the browser was refreshed and returning different MIME types
for all other actions from browser.
I have doubt, will the above solution works always for all servers,browsers?.
Please also specify any solution to handle back button at server side?.

We must be aware that whatever scripting methdologies
we either javascript/vbscript would executed @
client(browser) side not @ server side....

the bad news is that u simply cant disable or add any listener to the back button of the browser.
When u hit the back button of ur browser the URL gets re-executed. So in case u have a JSP then the history.forward() is the best solution. [only if the page doesnt get expired similar to secure https sites]
Now dont say that user can have javascript disabled ...those users will have a pretty touch time browsing websites since javascripts r used extensively by almost all websites.
But in case u have an action.do or servlet call then u need to manage it using a session variable since the request will be sent to the server rather than client.
For multiple form submittion issues read the following article in javaworld...
Client vs. server solutions
Different solutions can solve this multiple form submission situation. Some transactional sites simply warn the user to wait for a response after submitting and not to submit twice. More sophisticated solutions involve either client scripting or server programming.

Reader 9, open outside browser causes problem with Firefox

Reader 9.1.3, Firefox 3.5.3.
In reader, Edit, Preferences, Internet, Uncheck "Display PDF in Browser" so PDF files will open in a reader window.
Open a PDF file from any web page. The PDF opens in Reader as it should, but Fireflx also opens a new page in the same window, containing the PDF's location in the address bar.
This new page now copies the image of any windows that appears in front of it, starting with the contents of the PDF itself: If you drag the front window around, it strobes copies of itself onto the new Firefox page. The only way to clear this annoying page is to close it, or hit the back button if available
(Before reader 9, FF just opened a blank page that didn't copy anything.)
The sample below was made by opening a PDF, alt-tabbing back to Firefox, then dragging a small window around on top of it.
The gray background is from MS Paint, whch had been opened on top of the Firefox window prior to generating the screen capture.
Anyone else seeing this? Please give it a try (This does not occur in IE)

1. It happens with any file i want to open in browser.
2. The Problem is specific to browser. When I open a document in the Reader application everithing works fine.

i made a thread about this issue in the dutch MSI forums aswell, but the more help the better no?
i'll first start with my system specifications , so we have that out of the way:
Motherboard: MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum (s939) bios v1.5 (tried 1.B but that didnt solve my problem)
Processor: AMD Athlon 64bit 3500+ (2.2Ghz) (dont know the core , i think it was newcastle)
Geheugen: 2X Crusial BallistiX CL2 PC 3200 512MB (i also have 2x Corsair XMS PC3200 CL2 memory, but i only equipped my computer with the Crusial BallistiX memory atm)
Videocard: Sapphire Radeon X850 XT PE
Power Supply: Enermax 20 / 24pins 32A on the 12V line
well, my problem started about 2 days ago, when i shut down my computer, since the F.E.A.R demo ran a bit laggy ( i had all 4 of my memory modules in my PC then, and i wanted to remove the corsair memory ) once removed i only had the Crusial BallistiX memory in it , in dual channel , slot 1 and 2 (slots closest to CPU) , but once i booted my computer, i got a BSOD just after windows loaded.. something about the ACPI. the STOP number was:

then i putted my corsair memory back in, but then i still got this BSOD.. and it said something about the BIOS, so i updated my bios to 1.B , but that didn't help a bit, so i donwgraded my bios again to v1.5 , hich i have now. i only have the crusial ballitix installed atm, which runs stable according to memtest (ran it for 14 hours, then i stopped it) with this timing: 2.5-2-2-5 1T (Cas latency 2 just wont run stable)
so my memory is OK i suppose.. and wlel, i couldnt get into windows, so as a final solution, i decided to format the harddrive, so i entered my WindowsXP CD , and it began loading the drivers (and i pushed F6 , and loaded the S-ATA / Raid Drivers ) , but straight after it loaded the things of the CD i get:
- a BSOD , with something about the ACPI
- reboot
- flashing underscore in the upper left courner..
so i cant really do anything , except get into the BIOS. i also tried to start windows in safe mode, but then i get a message similar to this:
'Cannot start windows , because the following file is damaged or missing:'
<windows-mainfolder>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
so i first thought about a virus, but that seems kinda odd , since i run a virus scan everyday (my virusscanner is NOD32) , and i think a virus with such destructive power will be detected..
another number from a BSOD (i get this one most of the times now) is this:
*** STOP: 0x0000007E (0xC0000005,0x804F35C1,0xF7C45F10,0xF7C45C10)
hopefully you guys have an idea what to do, and as a final solution, i am willing to afford a new harddrive, but will that solve my problem? or is something else causing this problem?

didnt really get that, but i removed the CMOS battery , and placed it back in again , but that didnt help, and by the way, my problem got worse :(
i didnt do anything really.. just trying to start my computer .. but i can currently do this:
1. Press power on button
2. watch screen
3. press power button to shutdown
and that is as good as it gets :(
it sais to press del to get into the BIOS,but no matter what i press, it doesnt matter.. it then goes to the post screen, and displays this message:
CMOS Checksum failed! Loading defaults
something like that.. and here the system is totally frozen so i have to power off / reboot
and before hat message i cannot push a button!

Trying to create multiple state machines out of same VI to monitor each cFP channel results in what seems to be shared memory between machines

I'm trying to create a state machine which monitors a single channel on a field point. I want to monitor up to 64 channels at a time, each one with different instances of the same VI. The VI itself needs to maintain information mainly through feedback nodes both in its own block diagram and subVIs within.
All instances of this VI will be executing inside a main loop as they do not execute loops of their own as this would create 64 threads on the cFP-2200 we're using which I believe would be too much.
My attempted solution to all of this was to make the Channel Monitoring VI along with all SubVIs reentrant and "pre-allocate" for each instance. This does not seem to help as each VI seems to maintain the state of the one which ran before. Maybe I'm missing a step?
Is there a better way to approach this problem without writing a separate VI for each channel and the maintenance headache that would cause?

I actually read your document for another puzzle and it worked well, I think largely because it involved subVIs which were meant as separate threads. In that case, I used methods to alter inputs while the VI was "running."
In this case, as you know, my SubVIs are not looping inside, they are instead single calls but they do need to maintain the state at the end of their previous call, adding to the data they're tracking after they are called subsequent times. I tried the "call by reference" to call them each time. Below is a screenshot of the VI used to create the occurances and a SubVI used to execute each occurance, this subVI is embedded inside a while loop which I did not show here:
In running my tests, there still seems to be some data sharing of internal variables and feedback nodes between the SubVIs I'm calling, which I do not want. Am I approaching this in the correct way? Is what I'm trying to do even possible?

Check Browser Compatibilty Problem with CS5.5

Hi,
I am having problems with the Check Browser Compatibilty function, it seems to pick up the issues in an HTML file but ignores errors in CSS files.
I have run the check on CS4 and it work fine.
Example of the File

Should give the following error -   Unsupported value: 'transparent' ;
This version is running on a PC Version 11.5 Build 5344.
Could anyone help.

I would expect it to give me a warning about ' an unsupported value', as shown below:
               Unsupported value: 'transparent'
               Affects: Firefox 1.5, 2.0, 3.0; Internet Explorer for Macintosh 5.2; Netscape 8.0; Opera 8.0, 9.0; Safari 2.0, 3.0
This is the warning I get from Dreamweaver CS4.

Updated windows. Firefox gives "Problem loading page" error everytime now.

my computer told me that windows updates were available and that I needed to restart so I did. When the restart was complete firefox doesn't work at all now. It jut gives me the "Problem loading page" error no matter what website I visit. I have tried removing it from my windows fire wall and re-adding it but that did not help. I also try to uninstall firefox and reinstall but that didn't help either.
I am using Widows 7 for what it's worth. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
