CFP signal loose

Hello!
We have installed cFP-2100 controller and cFP-AI-111 for control and logging the data from sensors. cFP controller is connected (via ethernet) to PC with basic LabView application. While application runs in LabView Development System all everything is allright, but if I make executable file and run it, then in few hours (everytime different) network adapter crashes and loose cFP signal. Can you help me with any suggestion or advise?
Looking forward to hear from you,
Dmitri

Dmitri,
Where are the executable and the VI located?  Are they on your PC or deployed to the cFP-2100?
Intermittent loss of network communication can be caused by a duplicate IP address.  If you disconnect your cFP-2100 and on your host PC ping the IP address that your cFP-2100 was assigned, do you get a response?  If you do, then you have a duplicate IP address.
How is your cFP-2100 connected?  Is it in an isolated network or exposed?
Isolated Network (static IP):
1.  Direct connection between PC and cFP-2100 with crossover Ethernet.
2.  Hub/Switch without an external network connected.  Ie, no DHCP server.  Straight-through Ethernet is used.
Exposed Network (DHCP server):
1.  Typically has a router with DHCP.
What is the IP address and subnet mask of your cFP-2100 and your host PC?
Another possibility is that your communication is being crowded out because your executable is gradually consuming all memory if it is deployed on your cFP-2100.  To monitor both CPU and Memory usage, navigate to Tools»Real-Time»System Manager in your Project Explorer window in LabVIEW.  Be sure to click the Start Monitoring button to begin monitoring.

  • CFP clock loose synchronization

    Hi!
It seems to me there's a great problem in my 2 cFP-2020.  They run an embedded application, in which I manually can set system time.  In a timed loop I get cFP system date-time, and I notice that, in comparison to windows system clock, cFP clock looses about 2-3 seconds each 10 minutes: it's really too much!
In my application I have to log events with timestamps, and I need an accurate clock! Moreover, my final application won't have an ethernet connection, so that I can't provide a time-server! So onboard clock must be accurate! I can only send packets via RS232 to update time, but I whish I could do it once per day, not once per minute!
Last thing I noticed, is that this lost of synch happens mainly when I cyclically get system time, but it seems absurd to me that system clock looses cycles when "asked" for time!
       Thank so much!

These two .vis are one way to get and distribute the HW clock.
A 'read' of time_global.vi will return the most recently set time.
We read our I/O about 1/second so the time is plenty accurate
    for our applications.

  • WLAN signal loosing every 3 seconds

    Hi, can anyone help me?
Im not technical at all and have had a laptop bought me for Christmas, have received wireless router from virgin and tried too get the laptop up and running, after numerous attempts with virgins help they have told me that I cant get on wirelessly with this laptop because it has a wireless adapter WEP enabled and it needs too be WPA enabled.
My friend has had a look at this and did get it working on the internet wirelessly but it keeps losing the signal every 2/3 seconds it just keeps connecting and disconnecting. Im already sick of ringing Virgin and dont know where else too turn.
It is a PSLB9E - 009007EN model and it has been installed with Windows XP not Vista!
Really would appreciate any help or advice anyone can give me.
    Thank you

    Hi,
I have had the exact same probleme when I bought my laptop (Satellite Pro M70).
Finally the shop fixed it for my by updating the driver of the Wlan adapter. They also gave me a CD with the updated driver and an manual how to install it.
    Unfortunately, I lost the CD.
My workaround now is, to use the Intel driver "IntelPro Set wireless"
It works without any problem, and you can also set up profiles etc.
If I disable the Intel driver, and change back to the windows onboard driver, the problem reoccurs.
    Hope it helps

  • My iPhone 4 signal issues are gone...

Well, like many of people here I had the obnoxious signal loosing issue that is affecting a staggering amount of iPhone 4 users. However, I never realized I inadvertedly fixed the issue until just 10 minutes ago. I had signal issues since Day 1.
Bear with me thru this small story. I saw here a thread on MacRumors about a user experiencing camera issues on his iPhone 4. Said issue was that the camera showed a green spot in the center. I was sorta curious but never really paid much attention to it. This was 4 days ago. Flash forward to yesterday.
I was on the Apple Store picking out a new case for my iPhone 4, along with the respective screen protector. While I was doing that I saw an empty iPhone 4 demo unit and I decided to test drive FaceTime. I fired up both my iPhone 4 and the demo unit and connected. Disaster struck, my iPhone suffered from the same green spot effect as the iPhone from the user on MacRumors. Knowing full well, it was a hardware problem I set up an appointment for today at 6:30 PM.
Flash forward to today 6:30 PM. I got there at 6:15 and the Genius helped me out right away. He saw the problem, diagnosed my phone and concluded as previously stated it was hardware problem. Obviously warranty kicks in. He takes out my Micro SIM card and puts in the new iPhone (this was a brand new, not refurb unit). He activates it and hands it to me for mini inspection. first thing I do is check the camera, and against ALL odds, the same issue plagued this new phone. The Genius and I were, to say the least, shocked. Same issue, different phone. Now, how does this relate to the signal loss? Well, I am getting there so hang on tight.
The Genius does a comparisson between my iPhone and replacement unit to find the exact spot. He then pulls out his and does the comparisson to find his iPhone 4 too suffers from the dreaded green blob/spot. He then tells me there is no other replacement unit for my iPhone and that I had 2 choices. Take my current iPhone and wait if a software fix comes along, or take the replacement phone with me. I decided to wait and keep my phone (it is a hassle to resotre everything to previous state). So the Genius reswaped the SIM card to my phone back and handed it to me. (My iPhone spent 15 minutes with out SIM card while the Genius did all his tests on my and replacement unit, and while he asked for 2nd opinions on the green blob issue)
I went on my merry way, but realized something now. No matter what position I held my iPhone 4 in, the signal never decreased. I held it the many ways I know the signal issue pops and nothing. No bar loss, no signal loss, no call drop. NOTHING. So there you have it.
I am theorizing that moving the SIM card had something to do with the signal issue, because the only thing I have done to my iPhone 4 differently is take out and reinsert the SIM card. Other than that no other changes to it. No setting change, no software change no nothing. Just reinsertion of the SIM card. Now, to prove my theory, I need people who can test this and see if this fixes their iPhone. I know it did on mine, but on yours?
    Check it out.
PS - No, I did not have the green blob issue fixed.
My original thread is found here:
    http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=955742
Many users are claiming (me included) the signal issues being fixed.

I have "death-grip" issue. Just ejected SIM card to test SIM contacting the SIM tray issue. I have a 10x loupe and inspected the area in question (SIM card gold contacts touching tray) and I found that there is a space between contacts and SIM tray. Under 10x magnification you can easily see how precice my SIM card was made and cut. There's also a relief rout around contact area. Also there is a thin film of some non-conducting material between SIM card and SIM tray where the tray supports the card. This SIM tray even has the IMEI and Serial number etched on it and under 10x magnification you can appreciate the fabrication and close tolerances even this SIM tray is made to.
I followed all instructions on the macrumors forum and this "DID NOT" solve my "death-grip" issue and I can verify with 100% certainty that the SIM contacts are not touching the SIM tray anywhere.
I do hope this helps others but I am still hoping that this can be rectified with software.

  • How do i split the digital signal for PIP?

My tv requires 2 separate A/V inputs to use PIP. How do I split the incoming signal without affecting the signal strength to STB? Everytime I connect a slpitter, the signal looses stregth and I can't HD out of my STB only digital, not HD. Is there a fix or solution for this problem?

It is just the nature of beast in that when you add a 2:1 splitter, you will lose 3.5dbm of signal strength (more loss per leg the larger the splitter.. IIRC a 4:1 splitter a is 7 or 7.5 dbm loss.)
How many splitters do you currently have from the ONT to that STB? Do you have any 4:1 splitters in the path that you could swap with a 3:1 or 2:1 (leaving no open legs)?
I will leave it to someone else to recommeand a MOCA amplifier, but that may be you only possible solution. It would have to be a MoCA amplifier, as the STB requires 1150Mhz to receive guide info, etc.. A traditional signal booster typically does not pass frequencies higher that 850-950Mhz.

  • Photobooth live preview gives No-Signal (Canon EOS 70D)

I have a Canon 70D which is being used as a Photobooth. There is no software used. The Camera is connected to a LCD via HDMI for live view and the photos are clicked using a remote.
The connection is good over HDMI and the photos are being clicked too. The problem is loss of HDMI signal. After clicking 5-6 photos, the LCD signal goes off and comes back only if the photo is clicked again or if we press the live preview switch on the camera. Sometimes, the signal looses after single shot also.
I have checked the quality of the HDMI cable and it is very good. The camera and LCD are connected by Adapters and no battery is being used, so there is no chance of power being turned off.
Please let me know what is the solution for this.
    Thanks,
    Girish

Thanks for your EOS-70D camera info and videos. When is the camera available in North America?

  • HP officejet Pro 8600 Not connecting right to my new Mac Pro Air. Looses signal.

I recently bought a Mac Book Air. I have a wireless HP Officepro Jet 8600 that sometimes works for printing and a lot of times it does not get the signal. I am ready to throw my HP out the window. Had tech come in twice. Gets it and than it looses the signal. We probably do not have it connected correctly. Please help.
    Thanks

    Hi Carlman,
I'd like to help you obtain a more consistent  connection. I feel that disabling the IPv6 would help us accomplish this. Please use the instructions in the following post to enable only the IPv4.
Re: Office Jet Pro 8600 N911a printer
The IPv6 often times causes interference with the IPv4, thus I believe this should resolve the issue.
Please let me know if it does or does not, thanks.

I'm frequently loosing my network connection during the following scenario: Boot my cFP-2020, successfully connect with LVRT, successfully lode and run labview source code with 20MB available memory and stack is 180K, then when I stop my labview program and try to click on a subvi or other parts of the diagram causes me to loose my connection to the cFP-2020.
Once I have lost my connection to the cFP-2020 I cannont ping it or use the FTP server, so I have to re-boot it to get it to work again. Thanks for any help you can offer.

    Brad,
How are you stopping the embedded LabVIEW program? Are you using the Abort Execution button in LabVIEW or have you provided a programatic way of stopping your VI (e.g. stop button to conditional terminal of while loop)? If you are using the former method, it may be that one or more of your sub VI's is not exiting in a stable manner and is causing the problem.

  • Got new ATV and all set up. It keeps loosing connection with iTunes on laptop and have tried everything suggested in set up guide. It works fine for a while then the iTunes account vanishes from 'computer' menu TV screen.  Full Wifi signal on both devices

Got new ATV and all set up. It keeps loosing connection with iTunes on laptop and have tried everything suggested in set up guide. It works fine for a while then the iTunes account vanishes from 'computer' menu TV screen.  Full Wifi signal on both devices so can't think what could be causing it to happen. Any suggestions please?

Sorry, I updated another thread I was a part of but didn't update my own thread.....ughhh!
I updated all of my ATV 2's and 3's to the latest firmware when it was released and have been problem free since. I do believe the major issue of not being able to connect after a period of inactivity has been corrected with the latest ATV firmware.
I can look at my network connection table using "netstat -an" in a CMD window and I do not see the massive number of connections I saw before the update.
Here is a link to the other thread I was referring to above:

Have you applied the latest firmware updates to your ATV 3's?

  • E71 looses signal and disconnects when in remote S...

    Regarding E71 and remoteSIM mode:
Anyone experiences the same problem as I do, that the phone is loosing signal and few seconds later disconnects from the in-car bluetooth (VW Touareg with RNS-510 module)? Mine keeps disconnecting, E61i did not do that. When driving E71 stays connected to in car system for maximum few minutes and than looses signal first and disconnects shortly after that.
Anyone here with the same car (unit) combination who could confirm/deny?
    Thanks
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Still no solution from Nokia here.
Make sure your RNS 510 (build in VW multimedia unit) has the newest firmware (recent is 1102). You can find out which firmware your device has by holding SETUP button when the device starts (and displays Welcome to Volkswagen screen). A new menu appears featuring the software version. Should it not appear (make sure you keep holding the button until the menu appears) that means you already have the new software version.
Many people say that this solves the problem assuming you have the newest phone version 200.21.118 from 27-11-2008. I can't check myself as I have additional device connected to my RNS (TV free). Upgrading to 1102 would disable it which I don't want, so I'm still waiting for another solution...
    Good luck!
