cfpresentation does not keep formatting as coded

I am creating a PPT using the <cfpresentation> tag using coldfusion 9.0.1. The presentation gets generated, however the information within is not getting displayed as it is coded. I am using <div> tags to specify font size,weight, and margins. However, when it is generated in PPT, the font size, and margins are different than what was specified. I also have a <ul> that lists out a title followed by a - and then the comment. When this is generated in PPT, the title is given and the - comment follows, but the space before and after the - are not being displayed correctly. Sometimes it shows, oftentimes if the title is longer it looks like it is starting underneath the title and then continues. This is frustrating as this slide is dynamically generated and the data is different each time, so programming for these anomalies is not acceptable. Any ideas on how to make the code and presentation show exactly as coded, i.e. font size, margins etc.

You're right. The new events that are created by importing from an iPhoto created disk are based on the file created or EXIF capture date of the photo(s) in the event. The event folder inside the library is titled with that date.
However, if the folder is coming from the Finder and you haven't checked the checkbox at the bottom of the iPhoto/Events preference pane the Event folder will be the same as the folder selected for importing.
How did iPhoto 09 change things with event names and managing?
I haven't the slightest idea. I guess the developers decided that was the best way to go for whatever reason.
However, it really shouldn't make any difference what the event folder is named inside the library because one doesn't ever have to go inside the library via the Finder to recover photos. Every thing is done from within iPhoto or the Media Browser. See Terence Devlin's treatise on file access.

Why do my songs and audio books keep getting erased when I add a new book? Now some books will not play and the iPod does not keep track of where I was when I pause a book, leave for music and then go back!

About a month ago I added some new audio books to my iPod Classic and then after disconnecting, I discovered EVERYTHING had been erased.
I had to restore through my iTunes but then I could not load my music back on.
I uninstalled / reinstalled iTunes and completely reformated the iPod drive.
I successfully got my music and books back on but then added a new book two days ago only to discover everything got erased AGAIN!!!
Of course, my 1 Year Warranty was up about a week before the first incident.....
I formatted the iPod again, uninstalled / reinstalled iTunes (it was freezing during sync) and downloaded all my music and books again.
Now I have several books that will not play (they play on iTunes and they played on the iPod before all these events) and the iPod does not keep track of where I was in a book when I have to stop and go to something else.
Does anyone know what is going on with this thing??? I have a 5th Gen Video and in all the years I've had it, I've NEVER had problems like this!
Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do to get my iPod Classic up and running properly again?

When iTunes/iPod sync process failed due to timeout, the iPod, has only the initilaised filesytem structure at the start of the Sync.
The timeout failure could be due to
Bad hardisk - do the iPod disk diagnostic, refer to this excellent post by tt2
Slow USB port or resource - Dont use any USB hub, disconnect all other USB devices while syncing
Timeout due to Antivirus or other plugins - disconnect from Internet and stop the Antivirus or monitoribng software if you are syncing.
Preferably stop doing other things while syncing this ancient device, which the latest iTunes designer, think will soon be extinct.

SQL LOADER and ORA-01861: literal does not match format string

Hi,
I've to load data through control_file(.ctl) into oracle table through sqlldr. Oracle 11g, win xp.
as soon as I use - sqlldr dss/dss control=orders.ctl I get error or nothing.
Text file that is generated after loading fails has the following error.
Record 1: Rejected - Error on table ORDERS, column O_ORDERDATE.
ORA-01861: literal does not match format string
I have checked the format of data to be loaded into Orders table is like this : *1996-01-02.*
I checked the format of data in my database by querying sysdate from dual i.e. 10-JAN-10
I thought that changing its format might solve my problem so i tried this:
SQL> alter session set nls_date_format='YYYY-MM-DD';
Session altered.
SQL> select sysdate from dual;
SYSDATE
2010-01-10but still i'm getting the same error. I've to load millions of data. how I can solve this issue.
Please suggest.

It's strange ....nobody knew it?. I think this type of load problem will be very common isn't it.... where date column data is in a different format than in the db i.e.
How to change *1996-01-02* in the Control_file to make it able to load in the table where sysdate is like this: *11-JAN-10*

I'm trying to do data mining on a web log which recorded one day web access information from a busy web server. I imported the data into Oracle Data miner, and created a table (WEBLOG). The idea is to create a new field, i.e. session, for the users so that each session could be thought as a representative of a user-intent (aka topic). Now based on this, data mining models would be used to cluster(group) the users based on their similarity. The first step is to prepare the data which involves using SQL queries. So first, all I did was to create a function for date and time. This is the following code I used,

I don't know where I'm going wrong with this.. the to_date function should be fine. In the data that I possess, the date and time are in no format. Example: 30118 and 0:00:09 respectively. If anyone has any clue about this I would be sincerely grateful for any help that I can get!! It's quite urgent..

FontBook does not keep settings after computer restart

I have thousands of fonts on my HD folder, and a standards set of System and Library fonts. Any time I disactivate and acivate certain font families, my FontBook keeps these settings (for activation and disactivation) ONLY UNTILL next computer restart cycle.
After restart, when I load my FontBook application to check my fonts settings (for to make the fonts I set previously working again), Fontbook starts activating all my thousands fonts in my custom library, taking munites of waiting for a spinning wheel. I also do not see (off) signs for fonts diactivated during previous session. I see lots of duplicate font warning because Font Book is auto-activate all.
Consiquently, I have to reppeat all the process of activation/disactivation and to help my computer working with less fonts load and resolve duplicates.
So, why Font Book does not keep setting for fonts activation/disactivation in a custom library after computer restart?

Java bytecode operation 'invokevirtual' does not keep consistency

I have following codes.

As you see in the above codes, Child inherits toString() from Object and hashCode() from Parent. Bytecode operation of Child#test is as following.

I think if invokevirtual calls Object.toString(), it should call Parent.hashCode() for consistency. or, Child.hashCode() called, then Child.toString() should be called.
However, invokevirtual does not keep its consistency if and only if target method is inherited by Object.
Only that case, invokevirtual calls method in the Object. For other cases, invokevirtual calls method in current class.
I want to know why this happens.

I think if invokevirtual calls Object.toString(), it should call Parent.hashCode() for consistencyExcept that it doesn't exist.

Bridge does not keep my Label Preference

I want to be able to rate my images in Bridge CS3 using only the number keys. So I go to Preferences - Labels - then uncheck "Require the Control Key to Apply Labels and Ratings". This works fine and I'm able to rate images by tapping keys 1 through 5 (for star ratings) then 6 to 9 for color labels.
The problem is when I close Bridge CS3, it does not keep my labels preference. Every time I open Bridge again, the Control key is required to rate images. If I check the preference, that option is once again checked off.
Is there a way to keep that UNchecked???

Adobe has started to release really crappy software. Their bug testing is God aweful, and their willingness to fix their problems is even worse!
Bridge constantly crashes for no reason whatsoever for me. If I leave it open, but haven't used it in a while, when I pull it back up, it often crashes. Explain that! I'm not even doing anything with the program.
I'm having the same problems with labels retaining the preference. Inexcusable, and a complete failure of proper testing.
How long has it been since Vista's been released, and yet there's STILL no native DNG preview? Sure, you can buy one for $30 bucks from a third party. Remind me again why I need to pay a third party to do Adobe's job?
And because they make some of the best stuff, they can get away with this shoddy workmanship. But only for so long. Keep it up guys, and you'll inspire a competitor to do a better job.

We have upgraded a client from 8.0.5 to 9.2.03. The following query is called from a report that was built using Cold Fusion5. It worked in 8.0.5, but not 9.2.03. When you run the report you get the errors

Now, this query will not work by running straight through SQL worksheet in either the 8.0.5 or 9.2.03 regions. So I guess it has something to do with Cold Fusion- which I know nothing about. Has anyone had any experience using Cold Fusion to issue a query? What would be the cause of the difference between the Oracle versions? That is the only thing that changed.

I actually want the date format of DD-MON-YY. Which, from what I understand, is the default format for both Oracle 8.0.5 and 9.2.03. I'm trying to figure out why it is now displaying as 'yyyy-mm-dd hh24:mi:ss'. I could convince the client that the code needs changing if I had evidence that this version of Oracle (9.2.03) used a different default date format. Or if Cold Fusion pulls the date differently. Ughh.

Did you install plug-ins from a previous version of Photosop (or point the additional plug-ins to a previous version)? Photoshop CS6 has changed the location and way of installing plug-ins. All required plug-ins are stored internally–the location depends on the OS–and only non-Adobe 3rd party plug-ins should now be installed in the main Plug-ins folder.
You'll need to clean out and/or fix your plug-ins to get the correct behavior back...

put {noformat}{noformat} tags into the message and encoded the < symbol so that it formats correctly.
