Chaging description by the approver causes worng behaviour of workflow

Hello,
When approver makes changes to the SC "descritption" of SC and approves the SC is routed back to requistioner for accept/reject changes as well as appear in inbox the first approver for his approval.
Error reporoduction
Create a SC, single item, non-catalog,via “Describe requirement” functionality.
The SC is sent to the first approver determined, for approval.
The approver makes changes to ‘Description’ of SC and saves the changes(i.e. saving is  equivalent to approve here)
The SC is routed back to requisitioner as well as seen in the first approver inbox for approval agian.
As per the normal flow if the item are rejected the workflow  goes to requistioner for  approve/reject changes only(as the value of the SC changes), but here changing the desc causes the undesired bahaviour.
I am using  WS14000133 workflow(n step dynamic workflow).
please advice
regards
Sachin

Hello,
I don't understand what has security level of the workflow got to do with the issue?
But still can you please let me know as how to set the security level of the workflow?
The approver  when  rejects one of the line items straight away, without making any changes,  the workflow routes back to the requisitioner for accept changes or withdraw  the SC. In this case the workflow works fine.
But when the same approver goes and changes the line item say desc or the
G/L account the workflow routes to the requaisitoner for approval fo the cahnegs as well as appear in the inbox of the first approver
In both the cases the approver is the same , hence the security level could not be the  reason.
Do you think that the changes to the worflow items ( as in desc. changes or G/l chages) needs to be handled by the BADI ?  Directly appoval or rejection of the line items are handled by the standard SAP code, hance no issues occur here.
The Workflow is WS14000133.

SAchin

  • Change The Description of SC Approval

    Hi experts,
By default, the approval description like this:
"Approve shopping cart (username) with value (xxx) USD".
I need to change it become:
"Approve _SC (SC Number)_ from (username) with value (xxx) USD".
Can anyone tell me which program/badi to be modified?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
It is workitem text in SAP Business Workflow context.
Transaction: PFTC_CHG, Standard Task 10008126, Edit -> Workitem text -> Redefine.
Approve shopping cart of &REQUISITIONERNAME& with value &REQREQ.TOTALVALUESTRING& &CURRENCYREQREQ&
You can include any container value in the workitem text. Please note space is required before and after the variable and the final workitem text has some text length limitation.

    Masa

  • System users name in the approval task description

    Hi,
Please let me know how we can get the user name in the approval task decription in the workflows.
For example: the user currently gets the mail: Dear Approver ,please approve the PO.
We would like instead o Dear Approver the users name should be displyed.
    Pls advise.
    Thanks.

    Hey Muthu,
The problem is that the users are already in the system, assigned to a node and ordered shopping carts. The users changed their names by using the personal settings but still the PPOMA is not updated correctly. The US-users are updated but the Business Partner as well as the PPOMA-user remains wrong.
    We are using SRM 4.0.
    Thanks in advance
    Jens

I am newbie to the webservice
    My Issue...
    I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.2.4.0 Release 2
    1. Using Jdev I built one small Web Service with two methods.
            While testing the Webservice...
I passed User Id as Parameter and it successfully return the values (user id, user name and description) from fnd_user table
    2. I created another application to consume the web service i created.
                   1. I added the webservice SOAP and added the method.
                   2. Created a jsf page and drag and drop the parameter and return values to the jsf page.
    3. While executing the created jsf page I received the error message as below

  • What are Apple doing to compensate for the damage caused by the iPhone 4 bumper?

I have noticed damage caused by the bumper.
It is NOT foreign object but caused by the hard plastic on the inside of the bumper
(plese do not come out with rubbish like steel is harder than plastic) I am not stupid and I know that the damage matches the pattern of the bumper skeleton.
What I want to know is when are Apple going to deal with this and replace my phone?
I dare not go to the so called Genius bar in Milton Keynes as they have adopted a Dixons style "fob off" attitude and I will become rather angry with them.

Re: What are Apple doing to compensate for the damage caused by the iPhone 4 bumper?
15-Jun-2011 15:15 (in response to sfrommilton keynes)
o Steel is harder than plastic, so the bumper has not caused the damage.
      - You call it rubbish
      - The world calls it physics
You are totally wrong.  Please go back to School.
    o You can deny physics
      - but that will not change reality.
You can go to School but that wont change reality.
o Your description of your Genius bar is incomprehensible
      - I recommend you go to the Genius bar leaving the chip on your shoulder at home and tactfully explain what you think is your issue.
I recomend you find a day job ans stop TROLLING peoples threads.
      - I've never had them fail me or be the least bit confrontational.
      - But if you act like a jerk then I couldn't predict what would happen
Yeah because you were there.  Are you having some kind of relationship with the company?  I think you sleep with an Apple under your pillow.
Finally I am a consumer who has paid for a product that is not living up to expectations.  The plastic skelton is hard and abrasive (I know what that means as I went to School) Abrasion's are marking the product.
This is not the only time this has been reported and as such I have no issue with particles entering the bumber.  This has happened from the start (when I used Apples stupid bumber case)
Please don't patronise or TROLL others threads.

For one Urgent Change while performing the one of the Approval before changing the status to 'To Be Tested'
    We are getting below error.

COuld anyone please help us to know, How it can be resolved?
We also have this below error.
    System Response
If the PPF action is a condition check, the condition is initially considered as not met, and leads to another warning, an error message, or status reset, depending on the configuration.
If the PPF action is the execution of a task in the task list, and the exception is critical, there is another error message in the document.
    Procedure
The condition cannot be met until the cause is removed. Analyze all messages in the transaction application log.
    Procedure for System Administration

If you are in Test System, you can use function module AA_AFABER_DELETE to totally delete the depreciation area (tcode SE37, specify chart of depreciation and depreciation area), After that recreate your depreciation area and run AFBN. But before you do that, have you created a retirement transaction type that limits the posting on your new depreciation area? If not create one.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks!

    Greetings,
I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.
    Good Luck - Cheers,
    M.

Does you friend use any accented letters in the descriptions?  That might cause it but I don't know for sure.
Has he run any repair operations on his library, i.e. repairing the database file? Another possible fixe that's easy to apply is the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
        Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
    2 - delete iPhoto's cache folder(s):
    Home/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto
and, if there is one, the
    Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Home/Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and press the Return key - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
For  Mavericks, 10.9,  go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:
The demo version of GraphicConverter can be used to view/check/edit the ITPC fields in an image file after exporting.

  • Can I get the description field the daily 'bundled' subscription email

I'm customising subscriptions and have managed to edit the individual event SUBSCRIPTION_EMAIL.xsl xsl so that its shows the description.
However I also need to mdify the daily 'bundled' subscription email. I have managed to customise much of the code in the SUBSCRIPTIONBUNDLED_EMAIL.xsl sheet to give the right 'look and feel', but cannot find how I can obtain the description next to each item created. The xsl code seems to infer the 'resourceDescription' should be contained within the notification/bundlednotificationdata/resource field, but looking at the SUBSCRIPTIONBUNDLED_en.xml all I can see if this area is the comment NotificationData will be set here, ie
    <notification>
      <bundlednotificationdata>
<!--    NotificationData will be set here -->
      </bundlednotificationdata>
Is there anyway of getting the resourceDescription next to each item created, and if so how?
    Thanks
    Andy

    Hi Andrew,
You can add additional information for each resource by modifying the XML, specifically the textspan tags for the associated event. I think you may run into problems with the description though, since it was causing problems since it could be multiple lines which did not work well going through the XSL. It could be that they are no longer passing the description from the Java for the bundled subscriptions for this reason. I vaguely recall something about this.
This article may better help you to understand how notifications work:

  • Work item never shows up in the approver queue

    Hi All,
This is a specific issue to a particular user - approver. requisitioners are creating carts and are able to see that it is in approval queue. But the approver  is not able to see the approval items in his queue.
We are in SRM 5.0 ECS SP15. This issue started all of recently. There has no changes in Org structure specifically to his attributes or workflow changes. Interestingly when workitem is forwarded to another approver, then that approver is able to view it. So, this tells me that this specific user has issues to view work items for approval.
Any suggestions is greatly appreciated and rewared.
    Thanks
    Rao

    Hello Rao,
Did you check in SWI1 transaction if your particular user is defined as approver for concerned workitem ?
If you have user ID and password, can you see the workitem in SBWP transaction ?
If you use offline approval, has approval mail for this approver been created ? You should see it in SOST transaction.
    Regards.
    Laurent.

  • How to get the approver from a basic approval

    Hi you all,
I am building a custom process which requires a basic approval. When an approver approves or rejects the basic approval in the TODO tab, I need to be able to access the approver's mskey during the process that follows the approval. I have attached a screenshot of where I require the approver's mskey.
Please let me know if you can be of any help!
    Thanks!
    Anu

    Hi Jai,
I tried to get the approvers from MX_APPROVERS, but when I write to the log, I see that the attribute is undefined.
Here is a snapshot of the destination tab:
Please let me know your thoughts. Right now, the script just approves the attestation and inserts a comment into the link audit table.

  • Any way to switch apps that used an old apple ID on the phone cause I can't update them since it won't let me change my new bank card visa details on that account which is the whole reason I made a new acc so i could download apps again.

Some of my apps are used on my old apple ID but then I lost my bank card visa had to get a new one then the transactions went thru that I made on my old apple ID and now it asks me to update my billing info cause I had got a new card and I tried doing that but it wouldn't accept my security code (the three numbers on the back of the card so I had to make a new account and that new account accepted the new card just fine so it wasn't the cards problem and now I can't update my apps used on the old APPLE ID because it wants me to pay off the transactions I made on that account but I can't pay it off cause it wont accept my new card.. So i don't know what to do. Can't just delete the apps cause one of em has a bunch of my music on it and te other that needs updating is too big of a file to redownload since I have no Internet now and the iPhone only lets you download 20mb or lower apps without wifi

You might actually get help if you punctuate and form proper sentences.  Why don't you spend a little bit of time and recompose your post using proper sentence structure and using punctuation.
You'll find that when people can actually READ your posts, you can get help.
