Chain exception in OSM server

Hi,
We are getting the below mentioned chain exception on OSM server and it is in loop, affecting the performance of the server, thereby rejecting the incoming messages from remote destinations.
Kindly request to provide the reason for this error and the resolution thereafter.

Hi I have not seen this particular error but it seems weird to me that the predecessor and successor order ID given in the trace are the same; this could be part of the issue.
Because normally these should be two different orders.
Perhaps a wrong reference to the predecessor in the successor order?

  • Exception in OSM 7.0 when XSLT Automator received message from JMS

    Hi
I have been prototyping on OSM 7.0 on Linux. I have a simple project, with two "Automated tasks" and some manual tasks.
The first Automated task is using a XSLT Sender, and sends a message to a JSM queue "A".
The second Automated task is using a XSLT Automator to listen for a JMS message received from an external system in JMS queue "B".
I have setup a JMS bridge on the WebLogic server where OMS is running, so that messages in queue "A" are forwared to queue "B".
So I am seeing messages being sent to queue A and then forwarded to queue B.
However, I keep getting exceptions when OSM is trying to process the messages received at queue B.
It complains about "ORA-20503: no current hist_seq_id found for given automation context.".
Does anybody know what this means ?
At first I thought it might be the "JMSCorrelationId" for the message which arrived at queue B which was wrong, but that does not seem to be the case, because if I sent a dummy message with a dummy JMS correlation id, then I get another exception : "ORA-20502: Automation context not found.". This exception is ok, and I understand the reason for it.
Here are som excerpts from the log file for the "no current hist_seq_id found" case :

  • Mutual authentication & null cert chain exception

    Hi,
I am conteniously recieving "null cert chain" error. When my ssl enabled client mutually authenticate with ssl enabled server. The server refuse to accept client whose certificate is saved as a 'trustedCertEntry' in server's key store. The server throws "null cert chain" exception.
When I run the same client/server by setting setClientAuthentication(false) then both works very well.
The process I had followed is as follows:
    - Create a key store for client
    - Create a key store for server
    - Create a key for client
    - Create a key for server
    - Export client key
    - Export server key
    - Import key of server as 'trustedcacert' in client
    - Import key of client as 'trustedcacert' in server
    - Run Client & Server
Any ideas whats wrong in it ???
    Thanx in advance,

  • Service Registry causing memory out of exception in Application Server

    Hi all,
I have installed basic service registry on Oracle application server 10g.However I am ocassionally running into memory out of exception on the server.
I have changed the opmn.xml with the following :-
    MaxPermSize=128m -Xmx1024m
The configuration of the server machine is as follows:-
    Intel Pentium(4) CPU 2.80 Ghz 2.79 Ghz
    1.99 GB of RAM
It also however has the database server installed on it.
Please let me know how I can improve the performance. It's urgent.Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks.

    - what kind of operation you are running on it? I have seen it in production env. with 1G memoy (min=max), without any issue with moderate publish and search activities.
    - I would also look JVM profiling, you can do it in OC4J there is MBean conf in Admin page. If Gargage collector is not working efficiently you can look at aggresive heap option which might help a bit.
    - Service registry is known to be memory hog so it is always advisable to allocate extra memory.
    HTH,
    Chintan

  • Exception while starting server P6 (EPPM 8.3.2) on Weblogic Server 11gR1

I am a single user for learning purpose. I am trying to install EPPM 8.3.2 on my lenovo Window 7, 32 Bit Laptop.
    - I have installed weblogic server,
    - Installed databse and
    - EPPM 8.3.2.
Unfortunately I am getting error "Exception while starting server P6     ". I have not applied the patch 16176831 on Weblogic server as unable to download in (I don't have a support Identifier and I don't intend to buy also) can some body guide me if the exception is because of not applying the patch or for some other reason.
if because of Applying the patch 16176831 then where can I can free download it. (Since I am not making money right now I don't wan't to spend it either)
    Thanks in anticipation.

    Hello,
first of all your Problem on your 32-bit Laptop is that you cannot use 2GB of Memory for one managed Server (process). The P6 managed Server has set the Parameter to 2GB. So if you only have a total Memory of 2GB available then this won't be sufficent I fear. So first check your Oracle DB Setting how much Memory is used there. The next step is depending how you start your P6. Do you use the startPrimavera, bat? I mention not.
So go to your <drive>:\Middleware\user_projects\domains\P6EPPM\bin and run there the startWebLogic.cmd (maybe you're asked for the user to start. So use the weblogic user for Startup). Then open a browser and open the  page http://localhost:7001/console (Standard if you haven't changed it through the install). Login with your weblogic user. On the left side click on Environment, then Server and click then on P6. In the Details page click on the Tab "Start up" and edit under arguments the following line:
    -Dprimavera.bootstrap.home=G:/Oracle/P6EPPM/p6/../p6 -Djavax.xml.stream.XMLInputFactory=weblogic.xml.stax.XMLStreamInputFactory -XX:MaxPermSize=512m -Xms512m -Xmx1024m
You can try to reduce it to -XX:MaxPermSize=256m -Xms256m -Xmx512m
Maybe you Need first to use the Change Center on the top left side.
After that go to Environment => Servers, Change Tab to Control. Set the Hug in front of P6 and click on start. If the Memory is sufficent then this will start.
A better way would be to increase the Memory on your Laptop.
    Regards
    Daniel

the servers are starting up properly. But when we run a test case from one system
to an other external system we are getting the following exception in Managed

If the system information page is showing 3900, you should use 3900 in your studio settings.
39xx is the new default for 2004s. It was 36xx with 2004. And xx is the instance number.

  • Exception while starting server EMGC_OMS1 (upgraded to 12.1.0.2)

    Hi,
I just upgraded my test environment from EM 12c R1 to R2.
Whole environment runs on Windows: Admin server and monitored targets.
After following the installation steps in the migration guide, Weblogic console starts nicely (using %DOMAIN_HOME%\startWebLogic.cmd), but I having trouble to start Enterprise Manager Cloud Control web console/server.
After trying to start EMGC_OMS1 managed server in WebLogic's console, I get the following:
    - EMGC_OMS1 state goes to FAILED_NOT_RESTARTABLE.
    - Admin Server's log show the following errors:
2012-Sep-28 14:33:05EMReposLoginModuleImpl: throwing LoginException: Authentication Failed: User . Password not supplied

    - Write again boot.properties file in %DOMAIN_HOME%\servers\EMGC_ADMINSERVER\security and %DOMAIN_HOME%\servers\EMGC_OMS1\security with the credentials for the Weblogic's admin user.
    - Set username and password on "Settings for EMGC_OMS1">Configuration > Server start tab within Weblogic console.
    None of these were successful.
I also compared the old (R1) installation folder with the new one for the R2, but I cannot see any relevant difference.
Do you have any suggestion on what else can be wrong?
    Thanks on advance,
    Angel

    Hi Angel,

  • Uncaught exception raised in Server Client-side plugin

When I try to connect to my XServe from the Server Admin on my desktop computer. I get the following error:
Uncaught exception raised in Server Client-side plugin
Sorry but the feature you tried to access cannot be used. Exception is:
In updateConfigurationViewFromDescription: NSInvalidArgumentException * -[NSCFNumber count]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x18819ee0 .
There is a second error with similar wording.
If I say ok to the warnings I can make changes but they do not save.
I can access the Server Admin on the XServe
Anyone know of a solution so that I can login and edit the settings for my XServe from a remote computer?

I'm getting this too, server is XServe running 10.6.6, remote Server Admin is on a 10.5.8 PPC iMac. No errors with same remote against a PowerMac server running 10.5.8. No errors with 10.6.6 remote against either server.
Unlike the OP, however, the changes I've tried "take." The pop-ups are annoying though.
Another issue with the 10.5 Server Admin/10.6 Server, if it isn't a thread hijack, disk volumes do not show up in the File Sharing pane, Share Points appear OK.

When I go to the Perspective J2EE Engine there I can see an error i.e.

    How to resolve this?

    Hi,
I think the connection data is somehow not right.
