Change ACS ip address on vmware platform.
Hi netpro,
does anyone who has experience or share with me will this work and any impaction will be caused ?
Question : currently ACS 4.1 installed on vmware platform which ip address used 172.17.10.200. so, if i manage to change the ip address without re-install / formating the ACS . does it work ?
your reply will be highly appreciated.
thanks.
regards,
Jackal
yes it does work. From my experience. If you are planning to change the IP address on the ACS Server on VMWare platform.
After you have changed the IP address. Ensure that correct IP address is also being reflected in the section.
Network Configuration section, under AAA server Section, where you have the AAA server entry representing your VMWare server.
If it is not correct IP address and correct it.
Once done. Do *REBOOT* the VMware server, as I have seen this to work only after reboot.
Service restart never helped me in case of VMWare.
So you wouldn't be required to re-install ACS on VMWare, if you are able to change the IP address of the VMWare server successfully. Given you ensure correct AAA Server entry and reboot the server.

Prem

Hello Guys,
I will soon be changing the IP address of my ACS server since i will be moving it to a new VLAN. this ACS is also integrated with Microsoft Active Directory users for authentication of the wireless lan users.
my main worry is if i change the IP address of the ACS, do i need to do anything on the Active Directory server? will i have any certificate related issues? the ACS i am running is version 5-1-0-44-6.
any advice is highly welcome and appreciated.Hi Abukuru,
If you need to change the IP of ACS server then there will be no effect on "Certificate" but you need to update the ACS server address at the network wired devices using TACACS+ and RADIUS.
There will be no issue in the integration done with windows AD (Active Directory). But still to be more sure you can test the settings from inside the ACS server.
If any issue aroses then you can always put your query here.
Thanx and Regards

How do I change the ip address on an ACS SE 5.4?
I have an ACS SE 5.4 and I need to change the IP address. When I console into the sever and I try to change the IP address it just stays the same. Tried stopping the ACS services first, go into config mode, interface Gigabit 0, ip address x.x.x.x mask x.x.x.x. It asks if I want to make the change and I answer Y. When I look at the running-config it still shows the old IP address. Tried it several times stopping the ACS services then starting them, rebooting after making the change and it still has the old IP address. HELP?
Hi,
Are you trying to change the IP of an ACS Secondary box? If yes, please follow these steps:
1. Take a configuration backup - if anything goes wrong you'll have something to
fall back on
a. A configuration can be taken via:
GUI :
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps9911/products_tech_note09186a0080bcf133.shtml#topic1
N400024
or
CLI :
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps9911/products_tech_note09186a0080bcf133.shtml#topic3
b. If you are using third-party-signed certificates then please export them along
with their private keys. You will need to do this on both ACSs
i. Go to System Administration > Configuration > Local Server Certificates >
Local Certificates
ii. Check the box next to the certificate that you use for EAP
iii. Click on the "Export" button
iv. Follow the rest of the prompts to export the certificate AND private key
v. Remember to repeat steps i to iv for the other ACS too
2. De-register the Secondary ACS from the Primary
a. Log into the GUI of the Primary ACS
b. Go to System Administration > Operations > Distributed System Management
c. Check the box next to the secondary ACS and click the "Deregister" button. This
will cause the processes on the secondary to restart.
d. Once deregistered, check the box next to the secondary again and then click on the
"Delete" button
e. Log into the GUI for the Secondary ACS (which will now be its own standalone
primary). If you can't get to the GUI yet, lot into the CLI for the secondary and use the
"show application status acs" command to check on the processes. You will need to make
sure that all the processes are up before trying the GUI.
f. Once you've logged into the secondary's GUI, go to System Administration >
Operations > Distributed System Management
g. Check the box next to the name of the primary ACS and click "Delete". You will
now have 2 standalone ACSs that know nothing about each other.
3. Change the IP address on the Secondary ACS
a. Go back to the secondary's CLI
b. Change the IP address:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/cisco_secure_access_control_system/5.4/command/re
ference/cli_app_a.html#wp1895375
c. When the ACS has started up again, use the "show application status acs" command
to make sure that all the processes come up.
4. Join the secondary to the primary - Now that the change has been made and all
processes are up it's time to join the ACS
a. Log into the GUI of the original secondary
b. Register the secondary to the primary:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/cisco_secure_access_control_system/5.4/user/guide

Windows 7-8.1 Can not change the MAC Address on wifi and cannot load login page in public HotSpot.
Adapter: Ralink RT3070 Chipset wifi adapter
Tested: os Windows 8.1 Professional
Hot Spot: 802.11b
The first problem windows 7-8.1 got IP adress and connect he public HotSpot but cannot load login page or any other page. It does not work with it.
The second problem Wifi canrd/configure/Advandes (No network adress change function).Tested with the default windows driver and the ralink rt 3070 driver the same problem. On windows XP the same function the same driver works perfectly.
multiple users to have expressed interest in the problem But Microsoft not corrected the problem window7-8.1 10?

On windows XP or linux have a MAC adress Change function allow 00 mac adress and another normal mac adress range. On windows 8.1 all Mac changer program dont work. This 2,6,A,E on second adress are not vaild Mac adress. You simply can not use normal MAC
addresses on windows 8.1.When i connect the usb the Pc windows 8.1 recognizes the adapter but the default driver and the downloaded ralink driver the same problem. On windows xp the current driver works perfectly have (Local Mac Network Adress) funktion
and works with the 802.11b hot spot.I got the internet my PC and laptop too public HotSpots and another wifi HotSpots if wont work correctly i can not use neither the windows 7,8,8.1 or 10. Many users have expressed interest in the problem more forums.
The 3. problem im tested in virtualbox the windows 7 and 8.1 on 8.1 (on the blue wifi platform) not show correctly the signal strengh. On windows 7 show this correctly. The windows 7-8.1 Configure/advanced the advanced options on Ralink 3070 the default (windows
driver) somehow downgraded function is less than for Xp. Configure/advanced the advanced options (needs to be upgraded in the future) because it does not advance but rather regressed.
Today it is very common these wi-fi technology increasingly used (hotels,Public Hots Spots,Internet coffe,) growing free bublic wifi projects. The wifi funktions on windows need debugging and modernize. The quality of Wi-Fi is now the operating system
is now a thing order which is not good then the operating system is unusable.Hi,
For changing the MAC address for Windows 7 is designed with some limitation, we cannot get over it. Thanks for your understanding.
Under Windows 7, the possible range of spoofed addresses for wireless adapters that can be set is limited. To be used by Windows 7, a spoofed MAC address should have 0 as a least significant bit (unicast) and 1 as a second least significant
bit (locally administered) in the second nibble. Thus possible values for the second nibble are limited to 2, 6, A and E.
In other words
MAC address: “XY-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX” “X” can be anything hexadecimal. The hexadecimal “Y”, written in binary format, is Y: “kmnp”, where “p” is the least significant bit;
p=0 --> unicast;
p=1 --> multicast;
n=0 --> globally assigned MAC;
n=1 --> locally administered;
So, actually MAC can be changed to any combination in which p=0 and n=1;
“Y” can be 2, 6, A or E.
So the possible MAC addresses in Windows 7 for wireless adapters:
X2-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX
X6-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX
XA-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX
XE-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX
For the wifi hotspot issue, please check this blog to see if it can be helpful.

Ias 10.1.2.3 glitches in chgiphost to change the IP address
RHEL 4, Kernel 2.6.9-67.0.1
After recently patching our ias from 10.1.2.2 to 10.1.2.3 we did in depth testing on our developement server.
After that we copied the whole server (VMware virtual machine) to our test server.
On this test server I changed the IP address and the hostname.
I tried to use the tool chgiphost.sh to reflect the changes to the ias aswell (like done several times before on the old ias 10.1.2.2).
I got the following error:
su - ias10g
cd chgiphost/scripts
./chgiphost.sh -mid
chgiphost.sh -mid
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /home/ias10g/chgip/lib/libpass.so: ... ELF file data encoding not little-endian
I found, that the shared object is not suitable for the Intel server.
cd
cd chgiphost/lib
file libpass.so
libpass.so: ELF 32-bit MSB shared object, SPARC, version 1 (SYSV), not stripped
After copying this shared object from the old ias 10.1.0.2, it looks like this:
file libpass.so
libpass.so: ELF 32-bit LSB shared object, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), not stripped
I tried again to change the IP address.
I still got errors, but it looks like it worked. I can call all my Form dialogforms
Any idea, what might have caused this error? My error while running chiphost is Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /home/ias10g/chgip/lib/libpass.so: ... ELF file data encoding not little-endian
While the bug 7000666 refers to the following:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: Can't find library pass (libpass.so or .so) in sun.boot.library.path or java.library.path
sun.boot.library.path=<path_to_oracle_home>/jdk/jre/bin
java.library.path=<path_to_oracle_home>/jdk/bin:<path_to_oracle_home>/jdk/jre/bin/classic:<path_to_oracle_home>/jdk/jre/bin:<path_to_oracle_home>/bin:<path_to_oracle_home>/lib32:<path_to_oracle_home>/chgip/lib:<path_to_oracle_home>/jdk/jre/bin/sovvm:/usr/lib
I am also running OAS 10.1.2.3 on linux virtual machine.
Is this patch also suitable for me?

How Can I change my email address or create a new account??
I need to change my email address of the account or create a new account but when I try to create new one is
asking me for the password supposing like I have already one...At this time, you cannot change the email address for an account. When you sign up for a new account it will ask you to provide a password on the very first page and then confirm it before you continue.

How to change CUE ip address?
Hi,
We moved to a new location and using comcast as ISP. I was setting up the phone system today and met a few problems.
1. First of all, all the phones are connected and working(total of 4), but I can only see 3 of them showing up in the CCA. Whats happening here?
2. I wanted to change the user name which appears on the phone using the CCA, CCA told me that the settings were successfully sent to UC520, I restarted the phone and uc520, but the names on the phones remain unchanged?
3. I forgot the password of the voicemail for one of the phone, and wanted to changed in the CUE. so I went to 10.1.10.1,but some comcast login page showed up instead of CUE. so I want to know how to change the IP address of CUE? I don`t know the CLI commands so please teach me if it can only be done with CLI. I have only used CCA in the past. Could this be the reason why for problem 1 and 2? I`m feeling wierd because all the phones can be used to call in/out.
my data vlan is 192.168.0.0 and voice vlan is 192.168.2.0 let me know if you need any other info.
need help urgently as I want to resolve this problem asap.
Thanks in advance.

endhow to change local ip address?Via an operating system command.
It's not the sort of thing an application should be doing at all. IP addresses these days are assigned via DHCP. Why would you want to change it from within an application? It would probably disconnect all sockets for all running applications, invalidate the login, all kinds of bad effects.
What is the actual requirement? -
I have had to change my email address/Apple ID. My iPad recognises the new detail in iTunes and iCloud but when I go into iCloud through my MacBook Air, it requests a password for the old email account which I can no longer use. There is no Option to be able to change this email/ID detail as I cannot get further than the password request. Can anyone help please - this is driving me insane?!
Go to System Preferences and click Sign Out, select Delete at all the prompts, then sign back in with the changed ID? (Your iCloud data will disappear from your Mac when you sign out and choose Delete, but will still be in iCloud. Provided you are signing back into the same account your data will reappear on your Mac when you sign back in.)

How to change my Email address and my home address ?
Hi,
I Create a new account @live.com , I want all my last certifications to be use the new Email address instead of the old one
and also how to change my home address
Last Questions , I want to change my login account on this forums to use the new one so i keep with all my questions and my points in the new login
Thanks.Hi.
You can change your home address at the Microsoft Profile Center. You will need to log in with one of your Live ID accounts and change here it here:
https://profile.microsoft.com/regsysprofilecenter/infodefault.aspx
As Sathya suggested, you can contact the Microsoft Certified Professional Support staff to move your certifications from the old email address to the new one, here:
MCP support contact information
Telephone: (800) 636-7544
Monday through Friday: 6:30 A.M.–5:30 P.M. Pacific Time
Email: [email protected]
Expect a response within two business days.
Fax: (661) 793-6555
Alternately, you can contact your Microsoft Regional Service Center for Microsoft Learning. Please use the following web page to find the contact information for help.
http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en-us/help.aspx
The page includes email and phone contact information for your geographic location so you can email or call them directly. They will help you get your MCP ID transferred to your new Live ID email account.
NOTE: This public forum is usually monitored by fellow certified IT folks and trainers.
Good luck!

Client's IP address changed. How do I change the ip address on my computer?
I only have one client, the computer my sons use in another state. Everything worked fine until they moved. Now they have a new IP address. When I select the client from ALL COMPUTERS, a dialog box opens labeled ATTRIBUTES with an option to EDIT. However, when I change the IP address and the DNS, only the DNS info stays in the dialog box if opened again. Neither the IP address or the DNS info is reflected in the client's entry in ALL COMPUTERS. The status remains OFFLINE even when phone contact with the client verifies the computer is on and connected to the Internet using the same IP address. Alternatively, I used the Scanner. Remote Access finds the IP address plus the ISP web address, but attempts to connect fail. I suspect there is a way for me to properly change the IP for the client since all other info is the same. I searched the user manual and info online but can not find any info that specifically address the above situation. Both computers are Macbooks.
yes you can just watch this video and i show you how during the video

How do I change the IP address of my PC connected to a EA3500 router ?
I have a PC with Windows 7 connected wirelessly to a EA3500 router. How do I change the IP address on my PC ?
What type of ip address were you talking about? Is it the private ip address that the computer gets from a DHCP server/router or the public ip address that the computer gets from your ISP? If you were talking about the private ip address (e.g. 192.168.1.1) then you can easily assign a static ip address to your computer itself. If you were talking about the public ip address then you don’t need to worry of changing the ip address it’s because the ip address will change from time to time.

I have a 1st generation apple TV, which was working perfectly until I changed from a Windows PC to a Imac. The Apple TV will not show in Itunes. I have changed the IP address, sub mask and Router IP address. Since changing I have switched everything of and on again. Can anyone help?
I have a new router and computer. I have just remembered that just before my old PC died on me, I transferred my iTunes library to a hard drive. I can't remember exactly just how I got my library back, but there are definately things in my library now that were in my library on my old PC! Hope this makes sense. What do you mean by same location? Do you mean in the same place in the house?
Another difference I have just thought of was my old router was connected directly to the computer bu I have not been able to do this with Sky as my PC is not near a phone socket! Will this make a difference? -
I need to change the MAC Address for Airport on MacBook
I have a specific need to change my son's Airport MAC address as his school requires the use of USB network cards that aren't compatible with MACs. These cards are needed because the school's router uses MAC address filtering.
Before we upgraded his Mac to Snow Leopard, we were able to change the MAC address to the MAC address of the useless dongal the school supplied. We basically created an AppleScript program that ran the "sudo ifconfig en1 ether xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx" and all was good.
This command no longer works for changing the MAC address. We tried it as root user as well and by typing it into the terminal window as root. After running the command, we can run "ifconfig en1" and it does display the new mac address but when we turn the airport on and try to connect, it just hangs and won't connect.
Our other non-Snow Leopard still works fine after running the commands so I'm guessing Apple disabled this functionality. It's hardly a security issue by being able to change your mac addres.
Is there a new way to accomplish this? I've searched everywhere.
Thanks!Would an easier solution be to provide the school's IT admin with your mac address and have it added? If they can add a block of mac addresses for the usb dongles, they can add more for machines that cannot use the dongle.
Also: "It's hardly a security issue by being able to change your mac address."
While it may not be a security issue for your machine, it is a security for the school network who is using mac address filtering as hopefully only one part of their wireless security.
That being said, have you read this?

I tried to change my email address ID , but now when I try to buy an app or music it still shows my old email address and won't accept my password which I did not change. What can I do as I can't download anything ?
What id shows in Settings > iTunes & App Store ? If it's the old one then tap on it and log out of it and then log in with the updated version

I am trying to change the email address associated with my existing account to free up my university email address for use in obtaining Creative Cloud. Every time I go to the account settings of my existing account (which currently uses my university email, as I set it up years ago and had no idea it'd eventually cause problems), I enter a different email to use for that account but I continuously receive an error message saying "account changes cannot be saved." It makes me think that it's because the email isn't verified (funny, it actually is verified since it has been the alternate email on the old account for years), but when I click the "send verification email" nothing happens (that is, no email is sent to that other email address).
Anyway, my university is now requiring that faculty create new accounts using our university email addresses in order to register/use Creative Cloud. Am I able to delete my old account, or can anyone help me actually change the email address associated with my old account without getting a "changes can't be saved" error? This is an open forum, not Adobe support... you need Adobe support to help
