Change "Active Device PIN"?

When I upgraded to Desktop Software Version v5.0.1 it now shows the "Active Device PIN" as the wrong one. It shows the correct "Device Connected PIN". When I start the Desktop Software it comes up with a box saying:
"Your messaging account is currently configured to use Blackberry (30102B5E). Would you like to switch to Blackberry 8330 (my PIN number) instead?"
I click yes, and it still shows the "Active Device PIN" as the wrong one. But it does show the correct device connected, and I am able to use the Desktop Software with my Curve 8330 normally. So it does not appear to effect functionality, but I would like to correct it to eliminate the pop up box each time I connect the device.
This is something NEW since upgrading to v5.0.1. It has never happened before.
Is there a way to change this to the correct device?
I started into Device Switch Wizard, and it shows the current device as my Curve 8330, and the drop down does not show this other device. So I am not sure what to do next if this is the way to change it.

Blackberry Perl 8220, Windows 7 Ultimate, Desktop Manager 5.0.1.28 I had the same problem: When I launched Desktop Manager I got a message box titled Email Settings which said: Your messaging account is currently configured to use BlackBerry (incorrect PIN). Would you like to switch to BlackBerry 8220 (correct PIN) instead? If I clicked Yes, everything worked fine. Device connected (PIN): BlackBerry 8220 (correct PIN) / Active device (PIN): BlackBerry (incorrect PIN). Apparently, there is no way to change the Active device (PIN). I’ve read that if you’re switching devices, you could try the Device Switch Wizard, but I was not switching devices only installed the Desktop Manger update. I was using a new installation of Windows and Desktop Manager. I also tried a proposed solution to generate a new encryption key manually, but that didn't help either. Also tried uninstalling and reinstalling, both with saving my user settings and without. I also tried sending the service books. This duplicted my calendar on sync, a problem I already knew how to fix. I mention this seprately becasuse I did it right before I solved the problem. So it may be part of the solution. What finally worked was answering Yes when prompted that my email address wasn't configured to use BlackBerry Enterprise Server. I don't know the exact wording, but I was choosing No before because it said to do so if I used BlackBerry Internet Service. Because I sync to Microsoft Outlook, I always install with the BES option, not the BIS. Then I disable the BlackBerry Desktop Redirector. If someone get this to work off my suggestion, please post the exact wording. You may be able to get this prompt by launching the Desktop Redirector. Sorry I don't know how I got the prompt, mines all set now. But I know I had seen it before while playing around.

Active device PIN vs connected device PIN with DM

I'm using Desktop Manager 4.7 connecting with Outlook 2007. I'm not using BIS.
Everytime I connect my Storm, I get the message "Your messaging account is currently configured to use device with PIN xxx. Would you like to switch to the connected device with PIN yyy instead?"
I think xxx might have been for my Pearl which I no longer have... at any rate, how can I get it to quit asking me this question?

When you receive the message:
"Your messaging account is currently configured to use device with PIN xxx. Would you like to switch to the connected device with PIN yyy instead?"
Select "Yes", this will then update the device which is associated with your desktop manager

If you have the sort set to organize by album artist, an album shouldn't be "scattered". You may want to check your tags and make sure Album Artist is consistently set for all tracks. Some of the other tags, such as "part of compilation" can impact this as well. That won't correct the primary issue, but will keep your albums tracks properly grouped.
As for the lack of flexibility in sorting, you might consider submitting feedback to Apple:

How do I change my SIM pin?

I was robbed yesterday and my GalaxyIII was taken. Unfortunately I wasn't able to install any anti-theft apps, like Lookout. I already tried using Plan B, but the thief just uninstalled the app and turned the phone off. I don't want this person to remove my SIM card and insert their own, and be able to use a brand new phone that they didn't pay for! So I'm asking, how do I change or create my SIM PIN to keep my phone from being utilized by an unauthorized source? I'm very upset, I've only had the phone for 4 days. Someone please advice.

As ritsbits1212 and silver6056 stated changing your sim pin will not be effective in preventing another to use the sim card or phone and the best action to take would be to notify us right away.

What are Device PIN and Device IMEI please?

Dear World...
I live in Germany and O2 is my network. I've set up my email and bbmessanger accounts and everything worked great until a few days ago. An icon 'email setup' has appeared again but my email works fine. I can't get online now though it is asking me for a Device PIN (the one I got with the phone isn't working) and a Device IMEI and I have no clue what that means or where to find that.
Also now my bbmessanger receives messages but I can't send any now (like the dude from the UK with the vodafone problem) but I can't get online with my blackberry because of this STUPID email setup thing. Please help I'm nice
One last thing: why does my service keep chageing from 'Edge' (data) to GPRS? I can call other countries but they can't call me apparently because these signals which keep changeing are too weak. Is there a way to choose one? Thanks guys

Your PIN and IMEI are listed at Options > Status on your BB.
OR, remove your battery and both are listed on the white stick underneath the battery.

Error ID 30801 - too many changes of devices/PINs

Hello,
i've folling problem with changing device in app world:
In the past it was neccessary to change my device in cause of warranty change or change between my company.
My new login in app world with my actually used bold 9790 takes following error message:
"Too many PIN changes since last 12 months, Error ID 30801"
I've already contacted Blackberry technical support by phone, they recommended my to contact my mobile phone provider (o2 Germany). But the service provider generally has no possibillity to solve this problem, cause service provider does not have access or permission on blackberry app world or its server.
How can i solve my problem or WHO can help me to get access to app world and change the PIN to my new device???

CS5 Device Central Stage.width/Stage.height update problem when change the device profile.

When creating FL 3.0/3.1 app and testing it at the CS5 Device Central if you change the profile of the active device(select different phone with different screen size) Stage.width/Stage.height could't change. Always stays the same as the first device's Stage.width and height. Even if you add addListener with Delegate nothing happends. Also it effects to Screen Oriantation. It looks like a problem or is this a bug?

Having the same problem, though I can't get it to connect even once. I just started researching the problem tonight - no solution yet...
I'm on Windows 7 Pro 64-bit, Production Premium CS 5.5.
I've got no other internet issues, Adobe update works fine.
Please - Anybody have an idea how to troubleshoot this problem?

OS 10.2.1.1925 (SR 10.2.1.537) - Delete On Handheld only (fails if selecting multiple messages) (BES activated Devices)

Within the BlackBerry Hub / Display and Actions, the "Delete On" option is only partially working.
For example: If we select 'prompt' as the 'delete on' action the following works:
Highlight a message, delete, and then the prompt appears ' Delete from Hub, or Delete from Hub and server'. We can select 'Delete from Hub' and it leaves a copy of the message on the exchange server and in the users outlook.
If we select 'prompt' as the 'delete on' action the following fails:
Choose 'More', 'select more' and pick one or more messages and delete, it fails to prompt and deletes the messages from the handheld and the server (and of course outlook too).
Is this a known issue? Its hard for users who get hundreds of messages and want to delete them from their blackberry's to clean them up, but want to keep them in outlook.

Setting the "Device Name" when activating device licenses

What determines the “Device Name” in the list of activated devices in the Development Pool on the Adobe license site for device licenses? Specifically for Macs... It doesn't seem to be the "Sharing Preferences" pane...

So, figured it out by myself. It appears that the Adobe serializer uses the local Mac's hostname. You can find that out by going to the terminal and typing 'hostname'. The host name gets set initially by any domain name that is assigned to the IP. If none is, it uses the Sharing Name in the Sharing preferences pane. Regardless, you can override and change the hostname using the terminal (sudo scutil --set HostName mynewhostname.local). Deauthorize the device on the Adobe site and reauthorize and it will appear as desired. This way, you can have the machine listed on the Adobe site however you wish rather than by domain name. This is helpful if you have a long list of machines and wish to set their hostnames to their room number or location, etc.

Mobile device PIN

After migrating to Exchange 2013 I don't see the "Show Recovery Password" feature anymore. Is it really gone or am I just not seeing it; if it is gone how would I go about changing a users PIN if they forget theirs?

I personally have a Windows phone and I don't see mine anywhere, when I run the FL output I get this, see below.
Use to be able to see it in 2010 webmail. Even those devices that didn't support it at least showed it in 2010 webmail it was just greyed or disabled while supported devices showed it.
I have a supported device, where do I see it?

I'm trying to change 'Activity Partner' for an activity using BAPI BAPI_ACTIVITYCRM_CHANGEMULTI. But the function module is giving me an error 'Document could not be saved.'. I'm already calling BAPI_ACTIVITYCRM_SAVE BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT after the main BAPI.

Hi,
You need to check your condition type for which you want to make any changes in sales order.
Steps:
1. First go to change mode of condition type for which you want to make any kind of change in the sales order
. ( V/06 )
2. now check whether manual changes are allowed or not.
3. next check mark field "quantity/value " in order to be able to make any changes in sales order.
because unless this field is not check marked you can't do any change. i.e. it will be gray.
I am sure it will solve your problem.
