Change All fails

I used to have this problem with 10.4, and with a new installation of 10.5, I've getting the same problem again. Namely, when trying to use Change All in Get info on a file, I get :
The operation could not be completed.
An unexpected error occurred (error code -10813)
I've tried the usual with Lanuchservices, but nothings working at the moment.

Change DB_NAME failed with NID-00133: Database should have only consistent.

I have created two testing database for active data guard with Oracle 11g on Linux. I created standby DB by using rman backup from primary database. Now I want to change DB_NAME of standby database. I used DBNEWID utility

It generated the error like this
NID-00133: Database should have only consistent datafiles
Change of database name failed during validation - database is intact
Many datafiles even system datafiles are not consistent. I shutdown DB and startup mount again and tried again. It all failed with the same errors. I searched solutions on Oracle Support web and other twchincal web and couldn't find
answers. Please help me to get the solutions. Thanks.

Yes, based on oracle document, primary and standby shouid use the same name. But they can have different db_unique_name or instance_name. I created standby by using Grid Control. It automatically assign the same DB_NAME.
I modified db_unique_name. However, our PeopleSoft admin needs to connect to two databases to do testing. PeopleSoft version only support the different DB Name and DB Name cannot be over 8 characters. This is why I tried to
change DB_NAME to meet PeopleSoft Admin's requirement. I think, in the real world for data guard configuration, primary and standby should have the same db_name.

Unexpected error -10813 when trying to use Change All

I'm trying to change the Open With (in the Get Info window) program used with some files, but when trying to use the Change All button, I get :
The operation could not be completed
An unexpected error occured (error code -10813)
I'm trying to change all my .BMX files to open with the BlitzMax program, instead of the currently (incorrect) program.
Any reason why it should come up with this error message ?

-10813 - kLSDataUnavailableErr - Data of the desired type is not available (for example, there is no kind string).
My guess is some sort of system corruption. You might try fixing the LaunchServices database:
Open the Terminal application in the Utilities folder. Paste the following command in its entirety at the Terminal window prompt and press return. Wait for the prompt to reappear.
/System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/L aunchServices.framework/Versions/Current/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain system -domain local -domain user

I would also consider doing the following:
Repairing the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger.) After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer. Now shutdown the computer for a couple of minutes and then restart normally.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior (4.0 for Tiger) and/or TechTool Pro (4.5.2 for Tiger) to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.

Kirk is not "absolutely wrong", since it works for some people, including for me, though not for others. As yet I've seen nothing to identify why it fails on some systems.

Attribute change Run Failed/Scheduled

Hello All,
For a process Chain Attribute Change Run has failed in BW 3.5,and I Repeated the Change Run in Chain only
where Repeat option is ,now the problem is in RSA1 it is now that change run is scheduled
and sm37 it is showing that Canceled.
Now there is Other Process Chain in BI7.0 which picks data from 3.5
Should I repeat the Master data Chain in BW 3.5 followed by in BI 7.0
Or any other way is possible as in BI7 the chain has run successfully..

BI 7.0 and BW 3.5............totally two seperate systems..............here BW 3.5 is just act as a source system of BI 7.0.............if change run fails in BW3.5...............it is not going to effect BI 7.0.............
As ajeet already said............it will effect the SID s in 3.5.............because attribute change run activates the master data...........and SID get generated during the activation of master data.......
Also it will effect the aggregates............because aggregates also get adjusted during change run.......if any of the aggregates contains the master data.........which are getting activated in the change run....
Now u r saying........that in SM37 it is showing that the job got cancelled............So it will not locked the master data..............terminated change runs generally lock the master data............then we hav to repeat the chain run to release the lock.........and u hav already repeated the change run............so no issue........

Can I switch calendars (Ex. "night shift" to "day shift" cal) with a repeating event, but ONLY for that one event?? It asks "for all events or only this event" if i change the time. But it changes ALL events when i try and switch calendars. Any help??

I have 2 calendars set up for my work schedule, a "night shift" and "day shift" calendar. I've set up repeating events fro Fri/Sat/Sun 3-11pm "night shifts" and Mon/Tues 7am-3pm "day shifts". But lets say for example that I swap shifts and instead of working nights on Saturday like I normally would, I am now working days. I want to change that in my calendar. When I go to change the event, if i change the TIME it asks if i want to change all event or ONLY this event. no problem....just this single event. but when i go to change the event from the "night shift" calendar to the "day shift" calendar, it changes ALL the repeating events, and not just that one single event. can anyone help with this??? am i doing something wrong? is there a way to do this or not with the new iCal program??? i used to do this and never had any problems. Thank you!

You need to follow iPhoto terms since we only know what you tell us
what are you calling folders - in iPhoto folders can not hold photos - albums hold photos and folders hold albums or other folders
The basic default view of photo is by event (iPhoto '08 and later)

Why do not Apple send a fix for all fail´s / slow mac`s afther upgrade to Yosemite

I have upgrade 2 of my Macbook air 11" models. Both have major slow functionality in allmost every programs. slow mail, safari, pages. Allmost nothing of the funksjonalitys can being uses in numbers. Slow functionality when jumping between programs. Allover i have BIG problems with mac for my first time. And why do not Apple send a fix for all fails there is after upgrading to Yosemite. When thousand of users have the same problem with major slow mac`s.

System Folder errors after I changed all permissions on HD to read & write

Hi,
Two things may have caused probs on my new 2010 iMac (Snow Leopard), and Applecare is shut so I would really appreciate some help as I have urgent work.
1) INCORRECT PERMISSIONS
I have been stupid. I clicked on Macintosh HD and changed all permissions to read & write because I wanted to be sure I could open and edit all documents on other computers.
I ran Disk Utility Repair Permissions from the install disc, but I am still getting system error messages, and my HP printer won't work.
The first message, in Repair Permissions, said: Warning: SUID file System/Library/Cores has been modified and will not be repaired. I have read a support doc on this which says no need to worry but I don't like it and would like to fix this.
More importantly, my HP printer won't work, displays error beside the document in print dialogue box.
Deleting the printer and readding it didn't work, so I downloaded new drivers and tried to install them, which is when I got the second system error message: System extension System/Library/Extensions/BJUSBLoad.kext was installed improperly and cannot be used. Please try reinstalling it or contact product's vendor for an update.
I checked the permissions on the file and they were still wrong despite Repair Permissions, allowing everyone to read & write. So I have now clicked on the entire System folder and changed the permissions to: System read & write, admin read only, everyone read only.
Will this fix it or do I need to do something else, such as check ownership, to make sure all permissions on the computer are now correct?

Additionally (though I don't think this had anything to do with my problems), I inserted a Sandisk USB memory stick the other day and it immediately shut down the computer. When I inserted it into my Macbook it initially rejected it and gave me a message saying the device wanted too much power so it had ejected it to prevent damage to my computer. When I tried again it was OK. I totally reformatted the stick in case there was something harmful on it, but should I now bin the stick as faulty? Scared to use it again.
3) IS IT BEST TO REINSTALL ENTIRE SOFTWARE?
If I do a reinstall of all the software from the install disc, will it wipe out all my data, such as Mail, documents, bookmarks and other apps?
I would back-up, but if I try and back up files on my external drive it will automatically do a Time Machine back-up and I don't want to do that in case it backs-up all the corrupted files. Otherwise, I wouldn't mind starting again just to be sure all is well.
Expert advice would be very much appreciated.

Oh, silly really. I was in a hurry and working on docs that I needed to take to the office and open on another computer there.
But when I checked the permissions on the doc it said I could read & write but everyone else was read only.
I thought if I opened it on another machine I'd be stuck with read only access and not be able to work on there. I think I couldn't change it, so I thought to avoid any future problems like that I would change everything on machine!

He told me to email him my information so he can level me up in the game Clash of Clans so I did and he changed all my information and I told him to give it back via email and he refused but suggested to restore my iPod and it would go back to normal and I dis, I nearly lost everything since I haven't backed it up for a while and I'm a Music Producer, this password is my paycheck, my food, my rent, my everything, now I'm not sure if this is the right place to go to but please help me. i'm begging you to please restore my password.. I'm not asking for anything of what I lost back, just my password so I can change it, get my things back and move on with my life. I have really back anxiety attacks. Please. I'm begging you. If you can't contact the person and get the information back then:
- Contact the police for help
- Restore from backup.
If you can't get it from the person or from a backup then it is lost.
In the future be carrful about who you give your login information to.

Turn off Find My iPhone in iCloud on the iDevice.
Log out of iMessage, Facetime, remove Apple ID from iTunes & App Store.
Use Settings > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.
Then set it up as a new iPhone with your own Apple ID.

Unfortunately, all failed login attempts are stored on each clients' local drive. There is no table to hold them.

Does someone here know, how I can make do this in an easy and save way?
The only way I see is to make an own report with calling BAPI BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN.
