Change and Infotype

Hi All,
Is it possible to modify an exisiting custom infotype?
I have created infotype 9540 and the analyst wants to add to fields. I have added the fields in the structures but they are not appearing on the 2000 screen.

When you say "make the changes" what do you mean?
I have changed the structure of the HRI9540 but I don't see anywhere that I can say regenerate infotype.
Should I be using PM01 even though I used PPCI to create the infotype because it is a PD infotype.

wants a report to track changes to infotypes prior to running the payroll interface. The attached report looks like it should work but it returns nothing. Is there config that turns on "Track Changes": for select infotypes? If so, can they be activated for key infotypes so this report will run?

This node has three items:
Infotypes to be logged
Field Group Definitions
Field Group Characteristics
Using these three options you define which infotypes you wish to log, then which fields, then you define which groups of fields are to be saved. Click each link, or see the sections below:
Infotypes to be logged
Here you define which PA infotype numbers you require logging. Select New Entries and enter a transaction class (A for Pers Admin, B for recruitment), then enter the infotype number and save.
Field Group Definition
When changes are made to a logged infotype, the field contents before and after are recorded. This is the very reason for logging the infotype, but there is an overhead in performance and disk space used so it needs to be given consideration. Typically you will want to record fields that are pay relevant.
Using the field group definition, you specify which fields you wish to record changes in. When any of the fields in the group are changed, all the fields in the group are saved. You can use an asterisk to log all the fields of the infotype but this is not recommended for space and performance, also there are many fields on an infotype that you will not be using, that will be saved also. Ideally you will pick individual fields of the infotype and enter them like so:
The field group number is a freely defined number you allocate to the group, it will be used in the next step. For normal use, simply pick any number not already used in that infotype. All fields with the same field group number are recorded in the log, even if they have not changed.
Click New Entries and enter the infotype number, field group number and field names that you wish to record.
Field Group Characteristics
When you have set up the field group numbers, use the field group characteristics to activate the logging of those fields. You can also specify a supplementary field group; this means that the contents of another field group can also be saved at the same time, even though the contents have not changed. In practise it is not used much. Simply select new entries, enter the transaction class, infotype, and in the DocFieldGr enter the number you assigned to the field names that you want to store, then enter L for Long Term Documents (short are not supported)
The Audit Report
To access the report showing the logged infotype changes, use the HR report tree available from various menu paths, including:
Main Menu Human Resources Pers Management Administration Info System Reports - Documents Infotype change logged changes in infotype data. (RPUAUD00).
When you run the report, select the infotypes you require, and select and execute.

Error: while configuring logs for changes in infotype data

Hi All,
I am configuring the following Tables for maintain logs for changes in infotype data.
V_T585A, V_T585B and V_T585C
While configuring V_T585B, when i input * in 'field name' column it gives me an warning message " All data fields in **** infotype 31 will be deleted.
Please let me know, what does this warning message means?
Also, How is the report RPUAUD00 read?

Hi Simran,
you are not suppose to give the IT 0031-Reference Personnel Numbers in these tables. why because this will done at the time of Employee hiring only and we don't change this. if you change you will lost the old data in the IT.
Normally we assign only the IT which we change frequently for the master data. example like 0 1 2 7 8 9 27 582 - 589 2001 2006.
if you are configuring today means from today on-wards any changes had made to these IT's you can see in the report. before changes will not be seen. in the report you have to choose either long-term document / short-term document and remaining fields as per the requirement.

Table for the report RPUAUD00 Logged Changes in Infotype data

I have a query with the program RPUAUD00 Logged changes in Infotype Data. In which table stores the details of the program RPUAUD00. for example in the 1st period there is a LWP record for the employee. If in the 2nd period the LWP entered in 1st period has deleted, in the log the LWP displays for 1st period new field contents, Action Indicator I. The deleted information displayes in Old field contents with the Action Indicator D. We want to know in which table the LWP insert and LWP delete (d) details are stored.
This information required to create a report for ESI. In the report No of days (payroll processed for) has to mention. To know the no of days need to access the report RPUAUD00. From the RPUAUD00 the details of LWP insert and delete can be known.

Logged changes in Infotype Data are stored in cluster table PCL4 ID LA and SA for employee and LB and SB for applicant. Maybe L is for longterm and S for shorterm

BUS1065 - SAP HCM - Employee changes in infotype 0000 + infotype 0001

Dear all,
I have a problem with the customizing in order to recognize the changes in infotype 0000 + infotype 0001 for employees.
What do I want?
If there is a new hire, a rehire, a retire or a company-left action, I want to start ONE workflow in order to dispatch the employee data to several satellite systems considering the new validity dates.
What happens currently?
I maintain a rehire action through transaction PA40 and the system raises several events so that the workflow start multiply, meaning raises event hired, rehired, companyleft, ...

Iam not sure about what you have done in the customizing but, the above settings represents that the same workflow is set as receiver for different events.
Now As per my understanding what ever you have posted, I feel like you want to restrict the workflow intiiation only for some of the events. and for the remaining events you do not want to start the workflow.
   If this is the case then I would suggest that to over come any kind of issues, I suggest you take a copy of the workflow WS9100000070 and assign the new workflow template to each different event, in this way you can differentiate which workflow is acting as a receiver for the event.
and accordingly you activate the Event Linkages in SWE2 txn too.

Reporting changes to Infotype 2001 data

Can anyone advise me how write a program to report Additions, Amendments and Deletions of Infotype 2001? I know this must be held somewhere because the report Logged Changes in Infotype Data (S_AHR_61016380) shows this but I can't see where this data is held or how to report it.
I'm fairly new to ABAP so the more help (& code?) you can give me the better.

Rich - When we delete a record in 2001 the corresponding record in PA2001 is also deleted.
We need to be able to see any deletions (& amendments & additions). Is there a way to see this
in PA2001 - perhaps there's some config we need to do?
Suresh - I hadn't thought of using the output of the RPUAUD00 report but you're right - we could
use this - I just hoped we could get the data in a more easily useable format. e.g. if we could
get it directly from a table as Rich suggests that would be easier than reformatting the output of
RPUAUD00. Do you know how we could access the tables behind RPUAUD00 directly?

S_AHR_61016380 - Logged Changes in Infotype Data-Restrict Authorization

Dear friends
I am facing a problem in S_AHR_61016380 - Logged Changes in Infotype Data.
I am working on two company codes, Company A and B. The number range for Company A starts from 1 to 10,000 and number range for company B from 10,001 to 20,000. When HR Administrator of Company A runs this report, he is able to see the changes made for Company B too. How can I restrict this in authorization.

Thank you for the reply, its working fine now, but I am able to track the changes from now onwards only, I mean to say I performed the configurations just 2/3 days back , while executing the report, its showing the only those infotypes which are changed from last 2/3 days only.
But I want to track all the changes since beginning of the infotype creation. Any way to track the entire history of the infotypes

Changes in Infotype 0001

Hi,
Is it recommended to make all changes in Infotype 0001 like PSA, Administrators through action like "Organization Reassignment" or should be changed through PA30.
What is a recommended practice especially when there is a need to change the admin?

Hi Yashika,
When you open IT 01 in PA30 in change mode, some fields will be grayed out, these fields can not be changed without any personal actions.
But the fields which are open for change, there we need to decide whether the employee was any time in that PSA or Administrator job.
If he was there for some period of time then we need to create a new record in IT 01 by copying the old record and changing the specific field. If the data was maintained wrongly then we can simple change the existsing record.

I know that reason for change of infotype are maintained in the table T530E.
But can this be restricited through SPRO configuration.

Hi.
It's possible to change the search helps with a search help exit.
Take a look in SE11 for search help H_T530E.
Search help exit
A search help exit is a function module for making the input help process described by the search help more flexible than possible with the standard version.
This function module must have the same interface as function module F4IF_SHLP_EXIT_EXAMPLE. The search help exit may also have further optional parameters (in particular any EXPORTING parameters).
A search help exit is called at certain timepoints in the input help process.
Note: The source text and long documentation of the above-specified function module (including the long documentation about the parameters) contain information about using search help exits.
Function modules are provided in the function library for operations that are frequently executed in search help exits. The names of these function modules begin with the prefix F4UT_. These function modules can either be used directly as search help exits or used within other search help exits. You can find precise instructions for use in the long documentation for the corresponding function module.

Change of infotype 0007 is causing the infype 0488 to be change

Its regarding HR Singapore Public Leave Scheme , infortype 0488.
There are 2 leave schemes :
1. 1979 leave scheme (28 days)
2. 2004 leave scheme (21 days)
When CHANGE the Planned working time (infotype 007) (thru Pa30 ) from 100 percent to 50 percent and the daily working hrs from 8 hrs to 4 hrs .
the leave scheme automatically changes from 1979 leave scheme to 2004 leave scheme( it0488).
By right the infotype 0488 should be the same.
Did anyone came across this problem.
Can anyone advice me regarding this issue.

Although I dont have personal experence on this issue, however this typically points towards a dynamic action.
Please check from T588Z view whether there is any dynamic action configured on change of infotype 0007 - which triggers change on the other infotype.

Capture Action when data changes in Infotypes

First of all , I am not a HCM(functional) , I am a MDM technical person. I am not sure this question is relevant to this forum. Please bare with me while reading this question:
We had a requirement saying that whenever person, position or orgunit changes in HCM tables(Infotypes), we need to capture those changes and send it MDM tables. We did this delta loads through change pointers configurations and we succeed.
But other requirement saying that : when ever any change happend in person, position or orgunit tables we need to caputure as true or false value and send it to MDM table.
Ex : Person Last name changes or address chagnes or position changes or org unit changes ..etc. I need to capture as boolean value send it to MDM.
May be there are many infotypes could possible to changes at any time, so how do I capture those values as one boolean value? How do I know which one is last changed?
Do you have any idea is there any direct field(infotype) capturing this value in HCM?
or do you have any idea how to capture this ? Even technically? give me logic on this.
May be I haven't put the question in proper way because in experience in HCM , please suggest me how do I frame this question to Business people? or help me for capture this value?

Hi Shankar,
In HCM there is an option of infotype logging.
This is customized via the following SPRO nodes:
Personnel man - Personnel admin - Tools - Revision - Set up change doc & Log report starts.
Then you can see the logs via RPUAUD00 and delete them via RPUAUDDL.
However converting all this change logs into one boolean value would be your ABAPer's work who should make use of these logs.

Hi,
Control record is a heart of payroll area(pa03)
Conrtol record alswa based on payroll area where it determines the current payroll period for the exact date
It defines the payroll past for retro active accounting recongnation.
It lock the master data and teh time data to prevent changes from being made during the payroll run, this lock is valid for the paryroll past and the payroll present changes with effect the future can still be made.
It determines the earliset retrocatice a/cing period.
In simple control record is to control the payroll status of the employee
Payroll Status:(IT 0003)
The Payroll Status infotype (0003) contains data for Payroll Accounting and Time Evaluation.
The system automatically creates this infotype when the employee is hired. In general, the system updates the infotype and writes the changes to the payroll past.
You can change the payroll status of an individual employee using Payroll/Retroactive Accounting and Time Evaluation.

Changing standard infotypes - HR

Dear list,
I have some general questions about changing standard infotypes. Although I am not new to ABAP, I have never touched HR before, and I was thrown into the deep water on a new job (and let me tell you it wasn't easy to get it) So please if you can give me any tips and descriptions about this subject, and I have searched a lot of forums, and only later did I realize that it's a new world out there with ECC6, so here are my questions: Just for background, the client has system ECC6, and it hasn't been upgraded from a previous system. In fact, HR still isn't live, but it will be soon.
We have system ECC6. Can I use the old way to change standard infotypes?
If I decide to use the new way, do I first have to decouple the standard infotype?
How can I tell/know if the standard infotype has already been changed? (Enhanced or just changed)
In the old way, can you actually change one of the standard fields, or only add new ones?
In the old way, can your new field be next to the old fields (in the same box or is it a subscreen), or can they only be in an u201CAdditional fieldsu201D box (subscreen).
Same question for the u201Cnewu201D way.
I understand that the u201Cnewu201D way is based on the new enhancement concept. Is it complicated to change/enhance the infotype this way, or not so complicated.

Changing of a field is not allowed. You can add new fields in the CI_include provided

This could be the same problem other users are reporting as a white screen or black screen, caused by an incompatibility between Firefox 33 and some older graphics card/chipset drivers.
