Change apple ID when buying apps

I.need.to.use.a.different.apple.ID.to.buy.books.on.my.iPhone.but.don't.know.how. to.change.the.ID.when.doing.so.
It.only.puts.in.the.password.but.I.need.to.change.the.e-mail.as.well.

I had to delete my first Apple ID account and set up another. You really cannot delete the old one, but set up a new one. I deleted all my apps on my phone (or just the ones showing updates available) and then went individually downloaded them under my new account. I only had two that I paid for under the old account, but has to buy them again. I an considering buying a Galaxy 5 because of this issue. Apple obviously needs the cash.

i cannot change apple id when the app store asks me to update anything

App Store products can only be updated by signing in to the store with the same Apple ID that was originally used to download them. You can't update anything, including your own purchases, as long as there are pending updates linked to the other ID.
If you can't sign in with the other ID, you have to delete all the apps that are linked to it. If you don't know which apps those are, see below.
    1. Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:
    kMDItemAppStoreHasReceipt=1
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
    2. In the Finder, press command-F to open a search window, or select
              File ▹ Find
from the menu bar. In the search window, select
              Search: This Mac
from the row of tokens below the toolbar. Below that is a popup menu of search criteria, initially showing Kind. From that menu, select
              Other...
A sheet will drop down. In that sheet, select
              Raw Query
as the criterion, then click OK or press return.
Now there will be a text box to the right of the menu of search criteria. That's where you enter the raw search query. Click in that box and paste the text you copied earlier by pressing command-V.
    3. The search window will now show all the App Store products that are installed. Compare those search results with the list of your purchases from the App Store. To see the complete list, you may need to unhide hidden purchases. If any apps were download from the App Store using other Apple ID accounts that you control, sign in to the store under each of those ID's and check the purchases.
    4. At least one of the apps in the Spotlight search results is not among your purchases in the App Store. Delete each such item by following the instructions in the Apple Support article linked above.
    5. Quit and relaunch the App Store.
If you find these instructions confusing, ask for an alternative method.

  • Why my apple id cannot buy app store someting?

why my apple id cannot buy app store someting?

What happens when you try to buy something? If there is an error message,
what is the exact wording of that error message?
Where are you located? Which country's AppleStore are you attempting to use?
In countries where the iTunes Store only sells apps, the accepted payment methods are Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Other payment types such as gift cards, store credit, monthly allowances, ClickandBuy, and PayPal are not accepted. Depending on your App Store country, prices may be listed in your local currency, US Dollars, or Euros.    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5552

  • How can I get my iPhone to stop promting me to enter my wife's Apple ID when updating apps? I've checked settings for iTunes

How can I get my iPhone 6 to stop prompting me to enter my wife's Apple ID when updating apps? I have verified in settings that my acct is listed in itunes & App Store, as well as icloud. i can download new apps fine. Have shut down phone and re-powered, have tried plugging into my iMac while signed into my iTunes acct. Can't figure out what to do next?

Is the comp a synced device to your apple ID and approved as an active device for this synchronization?
Just cloud the sync once, activate the comp to your apple I'd in iTunes, ensure all software is up to date, turn on home sharing between the devices and you can reinstall the apps from the apple id purchase history via download.
You basically cleaned out the canonical data apple uses to validate all that, which was backup data. Like iOS devices have the purchased option on the App Store now, syncing the devices via the home sharing and properly activating them will give your comp the purchased cloud and free up 10gs of space on the precious solid states smaller drives.
    Hope that helps...
If you need to know the menu to find this info, let me know. But the info is easily accessible in the help menu.

  • I am being asked for an old Appled ID when launching Apps following the latest software update.

AAfter the latest software update on my iPad, I'm being asked to sign in to an old Apple ID when launch Apps. How do I fix this without deleting and downloading the Apps again? I have had Apple ID problems with this software version.

IF you still have the email address that you used for th old ID, you should continue to use that ID. Purchases are always tied to the ID that was used to make the purchase. Any problems that you are experincing with the iOS should have no bearing on your Apple ID and the ID doesn't have any effect on what is going on with the iOS.
If you can be more specific as to what the problem is, maybe someone can help.

  • Change apple ID on Purchased APP's

Until fairly recently my wife and I shared an apple ID, simply because it was easier, as we only had one debit card to pay for purchases etc.
However, as our finances have become more stable I now have my own Apple ID and iphone 4.
So all of the APPS that I have previously purchased using our 'shared' Apple ID, I have imported into 'my' iTunes. I've also been able to sync them with my iphone.
The problem is, that when updates are issued they are looking for our 'shared' Apple ID. I did not with the following link that I'll need to put our 'shared' apple ID password in, forever...
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/20842941?searchText=Change Apple ID on APPS#20842941
    Isn't this slightly rubbish?
I have paid for them, so don't see why I need to continue to use an old Apple ID. I appreciate this is for security reasons (otherwise, one person could download and share it with everybody). But, really that's not my concern, my concern is having the ability to update Apps that i have bought and paid for, without having to ask my wife "what's YOUR apple ID password again".

Sadly that's the way it is. Apps are permanently tied to the ID used to purchase them, and you can't update apps across multiple IDs without switching in and out of each account.

  • How to disable to the autodownloads when buying apps?

    Hello.
In iTunes on various Macs, buying apps autodownloads. I don't want this. I want it to prompt me to download now or later like with video purchases. I could not find any options to do this. Also, it would be good for other purchase types.
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi antdude,
I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on the exact nature of the issue you are describing. Depending on what you mean by apps downloading automatically when purchased, you may want to check the Automatic Downloads settings in iTunes, as outlined in the following article:
    Enable Automatic Downloads
    Regards,
    - Brenden
Thanks and interesting. I already have Automatic Downloads' Apps (assuming games, tools, etc.) unchecked not to automatically download in my logged in Apple ID account (not on @icloud.com). This happens in all of my Mac OS Xes (10.5.8 to 10.10) machines (even new and old installations in real and virtual machines [VMs]) with various iTunes versions (v11.3 to v12.0.1).

  • Unknown apple ID when downloading apps

I just recently bough my Iphone 5s from sprint and when I went to go update my apps it gives me the wrong apple ID. I went to my settings and it says my Apple ID and password. I am confused on why it is giving me a completely different apple ID when I download apps?

Each of those applications has the Apple ID used to download it stored inside it, which can't be changed without deleting and redownloading it from the desired Apple ID.

  • Wrong Apple ID when Updating App in App Store

When I try to update some apps on my iPhone through the App Store, it's requesting the password for the wrong apple ID. The apple ID it is requesting the password for belongs to a family remember.
I tried the following suggested solution:
    1) Logout of App Store & iTunes
    2) Delete the app that is requesting credential for the wrong apple id when updating
    3) Go to App Store and reinstall the app using the correct apple ID
This solution only works temporarily. When in the future if the app has an update again, it's requesting the wrong apple id again.
I think one possible issue could be that I am syncing the iPhone to the same computer that of my family member.
*Please note, do NOT ask me to sync to another computer. This is not possible .All iOS devices in my family are manged, backed up, and sync on one computer.
*My iPhone is iPhone 4S running iOS 7
*Other iOS devices are iOS 8

You'e got a mess on your hands. Let's see if this helps.
First, that app, and possibly others that you might not have noticed, were downloaded with a different Apple ID that the rest of your apps. Of course, apps and other content are forever tied to the apple ID used to purchase or download them. You didn't say where you are deleting the app, but it sounds like you're doing so on the device, but not on the computer. If that's the case, when you sync with the computer, you may be replacing the app on the device with the other from a different Apple ID.
I would suggest deleting the app completely from ALL devices, including the computer. Be sure you are logged in with the Apple ID used to download all the other apps and get it again from the App store through iTunes on your computer. Then sync it back to all devices that use it.
In general, this can now mostly be avoided if all your devices run iOS 8. Read about Family Sharing: http://www.apple.com/ios/whats-new/family-sharing/
