Change Assignment Field in the Line Item

I'm trying to change manually the Assignment field in the Line item of a FI Document but the field is not open for entry.
In the SPRO -> Document Change Rules, Line Item settings are correct and should allow change of the field. Do you have any ideas on that problem?

Assigment field it system given no , the main purpose of this field is to idetify the particular line item system not allowed to chavge that one once u save the document?

    Enter T.Code OB16 to create sort key.
    New entries, Give Z01 and description. 
                Name                  Name                         Offset      Length
    Field1   BELNR                 Document Number         0          10
    Field2   BUKRS                 Company Code             0           4
    Save.
    Change the Sort Key of the GL account for which you want to see the Assignment as above.

  • Assignment Field In Customer Line Item While Credit Note - SD

    When Invoice is been Generated through SD , assignment field in Customer Line item is getting SD Invoice number.
    But while Generating Credit Note through SD , it is taking Customer
    Account number in teh same field. What could be the reason ?
    We need Credit memo number in the said field.

    These configurations come from the copy controls. In the Copy controls you need to assign the correct requirements, allocation number and the reference number. For the copy controls for your crredit memo document, you need to change it similar to your billing document settings. The transaction code for this is VTFA and VTFL. Hope this helps.

    Thanks for the reply.....But, this is not the problem after i entered the GL . Before giving any GL, on just opened screen, iam not able to see the assignment field at all .......is there any variant needs to be select for that.
    As you said for checking the FSG...but that is only for the particular GL which you have entered...but before entering the GL iam not able to see the field...
    Hope you got clear about the probelm.....
    (in Menu...options...screen variant is there but it is so confusing )

    I have found the module to implement. But i met with one problem which is I edit the data for customise field, and modify the table xbseg. I don't know why until the point which it is needed to cast it to the screen, the data that i derived for my customise field is being deleted. Any idea why is it so?

    You have to add Purchase Document (PO) as a special field in the line layout variant through  customizing  to view PO in the FBL3N Line layout,
    Go to SPRO Settings - **** - GL Accounting - GL Accounts - Master Records - Line Items - Line Item Display - Define Special fields for finding and sorting data"
    A message will be displayed that it is a cross client change. Presse nter
    Before adding the special field PO, the line layout variant does not have the field PO
    Click on New Entries button
    Give the Table as BSEG and Field as EBELN.
    And save.
    Assign points if useful.

  • Assignment Field on Customer Line Items

    The customer line items  (FBL5N) are sorted by assignment number which is 4 digit. Same assignment number I can see in the assignment field of the billing document from which the accounting document is created. I want to figure out where that assignment number is coming from. I mean is it a purchase order or a purchase requisition number etc? How can I find what that number is?

    Thanks for taking the time to answer my query. But it does not solve my issue.
    Forgot to mention, I had already checked the sort field at the customer master level. It has sort key 009 which is for external document number, but when I display the customer line items Assignment field which is 4 digit is being used for Sorting.At the Sort Field config setting for Account Type Customers Field ZUONR or Assignment is used for Line Item Display Sort Customer. I am talking about settings under Tcode O7F6.
    I am interested in finding from where the system is populating the 4 digit number in the assignment field.How can I find what that 4 digit assignment number is?

    Follow the path as follows and configure the business place for your plant and company code:
    SPRO, Financial Accounting, Financial Accounting Global Settings, Tax on Sales/Purchases, Basic Settings, Settings for Tax on Sales/Purchases in South Korea, Assign Business Place.
    In this activity, you can assign a business place to a plant. The business place is recorded for each posting.

    Is it possible to insert an extension field/collection in the line item details page of the master agreement? I have tried supplying several Field ID found on that page on the DISPLAY AFTER field of the extension, but nothing works - the new field still gets displayed at the header page.

    Hi,
    Line Item is an independent class. You cant add an extension to Line Item through Master Agreement. This is the reason why the extension you add appears on the header tab of Master Agreement.
    When I go to create an extension definition, I don't find Line Item in the drop down of Extended Class Name. So, my guess would be that we cannot create an extension definition for Line Items.
    Let us know if you, or anybody, has a way to achieve it.

    1. when the SC has 2 line items and in that if both the line item are rejected by the approver and the requester is receiving it for accept changes and when he click on the change button and wants to change the line items of both the rejected one, the change is enable and the requester can do the changes in the line items of the shopping cart which is working fine. but in the other case
    2. when the SC has 2 line items and in that if any one of the line item is rejected and other one is approved by the approver and the requester is receiving it for accept changes and when he click on the change button and wants to change the line item of the rejected one, the change is getting disabled but for the approved line item the requester can able to do the changes.
    so can anyone help me out how to solve this issue that if any one line item is rejected in the shopping cart also it should get the editable mode when the requester wants to do any changes.

  • Assignment field in tax line item

    Withholding tax rates are maintanted in vendor master data. So while making entry vis fb60 it automatically posts to the TDS as per rate maintained. My problem is in line item for this kind of tax, which causes problem in document posting. Error log says that these tax line item need to be corrected.
    When i give some input in "assignment" field then only it allows to post. 
    Could you tell me where this "assignment" field is maintained as mandatory for posting?

    Hi Sweta,
    Use OBC4 and change from mandatory to optional the assignment number in respect of field status group (I suppose G001) which has been mentioned in respect of that GL Account which is meant for TDS.  This should solve your problem.

  • Adding Special Field in the line item display

    Dears Through SPRO settings, I added the field 'Group Account Number' (ALTKT) for the GL line item display.
    It is now transported to Quality.
    When I try to see that field in the change line item layout, I could not find that field for inclusion.
    However, in the SPRO of Quality, I find that field already appearing.
    Why it is not appearing in the FBL3N special field screen ?

    I am not sure how you have added this filed but if you follow these steps you will have it.
    1- Run FBL3N and make your settings and execute it (F8).
    2- Go menu Settings > Special fields (You can run it by t code OBVU out of FBL3n also)
    3- Add a new entry, select your field (BSEG ALTKT Group account number) and save it
    4- Back one step (F3) and select "Change layout..." icon.
    Now you have the field in "Hideen fields" column. Just select it as "show selected fields"

    The transaction code FF.5 to upload the bank statement and automatic postings. Currently the Assignment field of the line items get the value by way of combination of ID, Serial Number and Currency. The requirement is to change the derivation of the Assignment field to that of Value Date.

    To change the field content you need to implement the badi BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI .
    Here is the sample code for BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI Implementation
    loop at et_item into ls_item.
    move ls_item-mfrpn to ls_item-zz_your_new_field.
    modify et_item from ls_item transporting zz_your_new_field.
    endloop.

    Hi,
    If you are talking about line item level, then it is called Allocation Number. At the header level, it is called Reference number.
    This is controlled using the copy control for billing - at the header level control.
    The reference number & allocation number once maintained in the configuration, will show up in the Accounting doc - header level & item level, respectively.
    For example - if the customer payment always refers to his PO number, then it really helps to use the allocation number for the accounting doc line items - which helps in clearing incoming payment faster. In this case, the reference number could be our delivery number. This is one of the examples for using both Ref & allocation #'s.
