BB's do not run IE, so there is no need to be concerned in that regard. Some BB Browser versions can be configured to run in an IT Compatible mode, but they are technically not IE.

Browser tab title for the site goes away.

I have modified my master page to show the Title for the Site Home page in the Intranet Portal. The tag in the master page reads this:
<title id="Title1" runat="server"><asp:ContentPlaceHolder id="PlaceHolderPageTitle" runat="server">ABC</asp:ContentPlaceHolder> </title>
When I browse the site in IE, the title "ABC" shows up in the browser tab but goes away after some time. In chrome, it gets replaced by the URL of the Site page:
http://site/pages/default.aspx. It only happens when i'm on the Site Home page. When i'm on a different page or within sub-site, it retains the Name of that page. How can I resolve this so that Title stays as long
as I'm on the site home page.

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to customize the browser title for a site in SharePoint 2010.
Please change the Title tag in your master page as the followings:

How to change browser tab text?

When I open (view) my WebHelp project, the title is not
correct. It is using an "old" title from a previous project that
this one was created from. I changed the title on the Properties
dialog box in the actual RoboHelp project, under Project Settings
--> New Window --> Window Caption to the correct new text --
but this does not seem to affect the WebHelp browser tab title.
(yes, I saved the project, regenerated web help, even tried
shutting down RH then regenerating WebHelp again -- no effect).
I did not see a tab title option in the various property
choices offered during WebHelp generation. Where is it getting this
tab title from, and how can I change it?

How to change the Tab name for a custom field added in IC Winclient

I have successfully added a field using eewb and it is appearing on my transaction in CIC0 but it is on a tab that says Customer Fields. In EEWB a BADI called ZEEW_CUSTOMER_H01 was generated and it has a methods called CRM_CUSTOMER_H_SET_TITLE. It indicates you should be able to use this to rename the tab but the method is empty. Hide the custom control while changing the tab

Hello Experts,
I am using many screens & subscreens in my application. In a tabstrip control, I am calling one subscreen which has Custom Control to display the text editor.
When I change the tab say for ex from TAB1 to TAB2, the custom control with text editor remains at the same place. In TAB2 I dont want custom control of TAB1.

I have created one subscreen which i need in a tabstrip control. Now this subscreen has one Editor Control (CL_GUI_TEXTEDIT->TEXT_EDITOR) which I put on Custom Control. Custom Control is placed in the subscreen with SE51.
to put the editor control of CL_GUI_TEXTEDIT, I need Custom Control on screen. And I didnt find any property using which we can hide custom control.
Is there any way using classes or methods, can we put Editor Control without using the custom control of screen.
I think in your prob, you had ALV, that we can put on another subscreen, but in my prob how can we remove custom control Please Explain.

ERROR: browser.tabs.onTop not working now, my reason for using Firefox gone forever now?

In the latest FF, setting the browser.tabs.onTop has no effect. I believe this is completely wrong step in UI because thinking of the user's focus:
- The web page is the 'topmost' content having user's focus for the most of the time
- The next are the tabs which he/she recently opened
- Only then come the bookmarks
- And finally, only then comes the address line
Moving the tabs to the top means you force the user to move his attention/focus from the page contents skipping the lower priority areas (bookmarks, address line). This distracts the user and is simply bad news.
Being quite simple option, I see no reason why the browser.tabs.onTop functionality was removed. This effectively removes another important advantage of FF over Chrome/IE. I know Classic Theme Restorer (Customize Australis) add-on, but don't want to rely on such things.
Is THIS what the proclaimed customizability of Firefox is about these days? Sad.
After many years of FF use in our company, I'm sorry but I will reconsider FF usage in our company if these things don't get fixed soon.

IWeb - creating thumbnail - for browser tab / bookmarks menu

Is it possible to create a thumbnail that will appear in a browser tab,
(like when you save a site to your bookmarks bar and it has a thumbnail - ie, facebook or youtube.) Can I do this in IWeb for my website, or do I consult Go Daddy (my website host) to find out about inserting a thumbnail, for when my site gets saved to a bookmarks bar or menu?
Currently, when I save my site address to my bookmarks bar in ie, I get the explorer thumbnail, with my site name. I would like to add my own thumbnail.

Need to copy http client jars from trunk/lib to trunk/qa/lib as part of the build. The http client jars are used by MXUnit when the remote browser, browser factory is being used.
Also need to copy xalan.jar from trunk/lib to trunk/qa/lib now as William recently made changes to MXUnit that added a dependency on xalan.jar.
In mxunit/build.xml made the browserFactory class for the MXUnit task use a property called mxunitBrowserFactory so different browser factories can now be passed in.

Ah, interesting. Here's what I get when I boot with the old GeForce 7300 plugged in.
System Profiler shows no extensions with "ATI" in the name. I'm not sure if this is to be expected though. Does System Profiler -> Software -> Extensions display the kexts installed on the system, or only those that the kernel decided to load at boot time? If the latter, I guess I wouldn't expect to see them. If the former, then might there be some registration step I need to do to tell the system that the ATI kexts are present and able to be loaded?
As for the presence of the extensions, if I look in /System/Library/Extensions, I find the following files when I do an 'ls -lF | grep ATI'...

CSS Browse Tab When Refresh Page Changes Size and Jumps to Right Size

I'm styling a site and I must have changed something I shouldn't have.
Issue: When I click on the refresh page, the "Browse" tabe in the ribbon on the home page jumps smaller and then back to right size when the page loads. Anyone have any ideas what could be the culprit?
If I click on the tabs the size remains static, this only happens when I refresh the page.
It's really bugging me, any help much appreciated.

This could be related to the "caret browsing" feature, which moves the cursor through the page when you scroll with the arrow key. Or maybe in this case skips around things in the page.
You can turn that using either:
* F7 key
* "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > General mini-tab > ''uncheck'' the box for "Always use the cursor keys to navigate within pages"

I do not know how to change the (index.html) tab. When you have several of the tab on your browser open, the name appears in the middle of tab, mine continues to say the INDEX.html. I just need to know how to go into dreamweaver and change the title tag. In the actual HTML I have changed it and it still hasn't worked. please help, thanks!

The page name in the browser tab comes from the text inside the <title> tag.
