Change Calendar at GL Level

Hi Experts,
In EBS R11i, currently I have a calendar with 12 periods in a calendar year, now I need to add one more period to the end of each calendar year for adjustment purpose. Do I have to create a new period type in GL? If yes, with the new period_type of 13 periods, how to propogate the change of period type/calendar in GL to other EBS product that has been using the previous GL calendar?

Hi Michelle,
Yes, you have to create a new period type for your requirement and in turn create a new Set of books as well ....(and re-configure all the subledger modules to the new set of books).
Oracle restricts modification to the existing period type attached to an Accounting Calendar.

In order to restrict changes to Sales Order Header Text, the appropriate User Exit would be USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_TVCOM_H. With the help of ABAPer, you can include the simple logic on the basis of Header Text type such that whenever any changes are incurred on the Sales Order header text, updates would be prevented.
Please try out this approach and let us know your latest observation on this issue.

Enable change logs for item level of Sales Document

Hi,
On transaction VA02, additional screen field (Booking Date) is added (& consequently 2 appends with date field in the tables VBAK & VBAP).
When this date is changed in the header, the corresponding dates are changed in the item level as well.
However, the change documents are created only for table VBAK (though item data is updated in VBAP also).
When the date is changed at the item level, the change logs are created for the corresponding field in table VBAP.
The data element has 'Change Document' checked.
How can I activate the change to be logged for the item level (VBAP), when the date is changed at header level (VBAK)?

Maybe set a breakpoint in include MV45AF0C_CHANGE_DOCUMENT_CREAT
Then check in UPDATE debug mode the value of upd_vbap and the contents of xvbap which are passed on to function VERKBELEG_WRITE_DOCUMENT .
This function creates the change documents based on the data changes.
I would have thought that since the date values are changed at item level as well when you only change it at the header, they should get a change document created automatically, since the dates must be in the XVBAP table (as their value is changed at the DB).
So I would compare the various internal tables for both scenarios (header change, item change) to determine their differences.
After this use one of the user-exits to populate the internal tables for the header scenario based on the values of the item scenario. I would feel this to be a last resort though, since something appears not to be working correctly (I think).

Is there any BAPI - in which I can pass the basic data (say Order data and Operation data) and change the PERNR for it.

Assuming you are talking about maintenance or service orders, you can use BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN. See function module documentation from SE37. The structure BAPI_ALM_ORDER_OPERATION contains PERS_NO field.

You can also use the [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2592/ NoSquint] add-on to change the default zoom level for all websites at once. After setting your global zoom level, you can fine-tune the zoom on individual sites and set the options so that NoSquint remembers per-site settings.
After installing NoSquint, go to the add-ons page to set the per-site settings:
* Tools (or [[Image: New Fx Menu]]) > Add-ons > Extensions
* Click the "Options" button by NoSquint

A SID can´t be "changed", you will need to do a system copy according to
http://service.sap.com/systemcopy
Basically - install the system with a different SID and import the database backup.
It´s not possible to change a SID after installation.

Basically, the issue is that even though we configure the isolation level to a non-default one in the deployment descriptor, the connections returned by the datasource seem to be having the default (which is Read Committed). weblogic-ejb-jar.xml has the following set:

You want to set the default calendar for all new appointments?
Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar > Calendar > Default calendar.

Changes in the request level

Dear Experts,
can you please tell me the reason for the below changes in the request level.
Step1)
Once I executed the Info package till 5 to 6 hours atleast one record will not update and the request will be in yellow .
Step 2)
Then suddenly the request will become red and atleast one record will not update and the message will be as:--
Diagnosis: No Errors found the current process has probably not yet finihed.
System responce : The ALE of Inbox is identical to the ALE outbox of the source sytem
or
The maximum wait time for thiis request has not been exeeded.
or
The background job has not yet finished in the source sytem.
Step 3)
Then after some time suddenly around 800 records will come and the request also wil become yellow and the message will be as same as above.

Check the trend of the data load requests from this datasource.
There are few possibilities like :
1) If all the requests are taking this much time,then your extractor is taking time based on the logic written to extract data from the base tables.
2) If this perticular load request is taking time,then check the selections you have given in the infopackage to fetch the data
The reason for turning it to yellow,red and again yellow is :
The maximum wait time given for the IP is exceeded.When the job in source is running its yellow,if exceeded the time limit,it is red in BW but yellow in source.Once the records are fetched, system sets the technical status to yellow again and then in turn to green once job is source system is finished.

To my surprise, the isolation level TRANSACTION_SERIALIZABLE is supported from the database vendor. So why can't I change the transaction isolation level?
