My calendar only shows a time frame of 9 - 5 daily.... how can I modify this as work hours are more than just 9-5...
Thanks!

  • Problem caused with appt times by changing calendar time zone support?

    I've got a 30Gb iPod Touch, version 4.0.2.
    I've always kept the Settings' Date & Time timezone for the correct location, but it was only a while back that I realized that there was also a Time Zone under the Settings, Calendar, and so I changed it so that it was correct (it was previously set to Kabul, AF time, and it was then changed to Ottawa, ON time).
    I'm thinking that this may have messed up all my future appointments, as my appointments have been switched to midnight or somewhere near it, for the day prior to when the appointment was supposed to have been. I can't think of anything else that would be causing this, and didn't see this exact problem occurring for anyone else when I did a search of the discussions.
    Does anyone have any idea as to why this is happening and what I can do to set it right?

    Hi Cindiii,
    Time zone support has often been a point of contention and confusion for many users. Unfortunately, there is no simple fix at the present time. Do you have any idea as to why you touch was set to Kabul? Did you buy it new? If not, perhaps the last user had it set to this time?
    In any case, Calendar does allow for its own time zone settings. This is to allow the user to create events for his/her home time zone while traveling. Even if your system time zone reflects the current time zone that you are in, appointments added to Cakendar will show up in the time zine that you choose based in the time zone you set in the Calendar settings.
    This definitely sets up conflicts if you are trying to schedule an appointment that is outside of your home time zone. Now that you have switched the time zone in your Calendar settings to your home time zone, there is nothing you can do about the events already created. As I see it, you have only two options:
    1. Change the time zone back to Kabul time and view your events as though they were your local time, or
    2. Leave the time zone in the Calendar settings to your home time zone and either time adjust the events in your head (knowing the time difference), or manually changing them to the correct time one by one.
    I'm sorry this doesn't provide you with a magic solution, but I really don't see any other alternatives.

  • Changing calendar time numbers

    I'm trying to develop this online booking page and I'm using this calendar that can be seen on the page. When one clicks on the dates on the calendar, the user can sect from various times. The times appear as a 24 hour clock (4pm=16:00). I would like things to appear as a 12 hour clock. I would like 4pm to show as "4pm" or "4:00pm" or ideally "4-6pm.
    Here is the page:

    I disabled the ability to book.

  • Can I switch calendars (Ex. "night shift" to "day shift" cal) with a repeating event, but ONLY for that one event??  It asks "for all events or only this event" if i change the time.  But it changes ALL events when i try and switch calendars.  Any help??

    I have 2 calendars set up for my work schedule, a "night shift" and "day shift" calendar.  I've set up repeating events fro Fri/Sat/Sun 3-11pm "night shifts" and Mon/Tues 7am-3pm "day shifts".  But lets say for example that I swap shifts and instead of working nights on Saturday like I normally would, I am now working days.  I want to change that in my calendar.  When I go to change the event, if i change the TIME it asks if i want to change all event or ONLY this event.  no problem....just this single event.  but when i go to change the event from the "night shift" calendar to the "day shift" calendar, it changes ALL the repeating events, and not just that one single event.   can anyone help with this???  am i doing something wrong?  is there a way to do this or not with the new iCal program???  i used to do this and never had any problems.    Thank you!

    You need to follow iPhoto terms since we only know what you tell us
    what are you calling folders - in iPhoto folders can not hold photos - albums hold photos and folders hold albums or other folders
    The basic default view of photo is by event (iPhoto '08 and later)
    Exactly what you you trying to do?

  • How do you change the time of an appointment in the new calendar Monday defaults to 10am tuesday one minute past and sunday 1 minute before

    Installed Ios 7 and new calendar does not allow me to change the time of appointments .
    Ie Monday 7th October try to put appointment in and gives me 10am day before 9:59am day after 10:01am.

    Wow!
    I'm not going to be of much use regarding answers but I sure am going to watching this post like a hawk for any replies. My package is a slightly diluted version of this and I do find the BBtalk and data limits hard to make the most of as well.
    If nothing else this totally highlights how complicated BT have managed to make their packages.
    A cynic would assume that they are trying to catch us out at every step and for us to either be overspending or not really getting the moneys worth.

  • How can I change the time zone for a calendar entry with iOS 7?

    I want to make a new entry in my calendar (iOS 7) using a different time zone as the one I'm located in. There isn't any option to choose the time zone like there is in OS X.
    I know I can switch off the option to automatically change the time zone in the preference pane of Mail, Contacts and Calendar to get the option in calendar but I want to use this automatic switch.
    Is there any option to change the time zone of a calendar entry without loosing this automatic switch?

    Got it!
    In your backing file you'll need the following in your handlePostbackData method:
    BookBackingContext bookCtx = BookBackingContext.getBookBackingContext(arg0);
    bookCtx.setupPageChangeEvent("PageLabel");

  • N8 calendar times change when in new time zone

    How do you stop the calendar times changing when you enter a new time zone? This is very frustrating, particularly when the calendar contains flight times etc which you have entered in the local time zone of place of departure. Then when you move into that time zone it automatically changes every calendar entry! Annoying! I realise I can deselect automatic time zones, but then I'm guessing when I do change the time zone manually to where I am (so that it shows the time of day, and I can set an alarm to wake me up, etc!!!) then the same thing will happen - all my calendar entries will change. Hope someone has worked it out already.

    the times are stored on the phone in absolute time, lets call it gmt. they are then displayed on your handset in local time.
    the times aren't actually changing as you change time zones. they are very much staying the same.
    to achieve what you re after you are just going to have to enter the times in one of the text fields.
    There's no dignity in begging for kudos. Do it for the karma.

  • How to dynamically  change start time in calendar

    Hi !
    Is it possible dynamically change start time attribute in calendar. Let's say I'd like to have start time = sysdate through 24 for display

    Hello Johann,
    If you created the calendar region using the wizard, it should have created a page item 'P#_CALENDAR_DATE' (# being your page number). Look at the Default setting for that item and it will likely be:
    return to_char(localtimestamp,'YYYYMMDD');This is the default date for the calendar (current date), in 'YYYYMMDD' format. Any code that sets this item to a date in 'YYYYMMDD' format should tell the calendar to display the calendar for that date. For example, I just changed it to this:
    return '20080101';And it displayed the calendar for that January, 2008. To test further I created a submit button and a branch, and in that branch I specified to set my P1_CALENDAR_DATE item to 20080601 and when I clicked the button it redisplayed the calendar for June, 2008.
    Hope this helps,
    John

  • Changing TimeZone for Calendar object doesnt change its time

    Hy, I have a Calendar object with I have set with a Date but I I want from this calendar with the Date set, set other timezone for this calendar and get the corresponding time(always gettting the correct time if is in daylightsavings) but I get the same time.
    Calendar calendario = Calendar.getInstance
    calendario.setTime(new Date());
    System.out.println(calendario.getTime()); *// for example I get the 14:12:25 hours for GMT+01:00*
    calendario.setTimeZone(TimeZone.getTimeZone("GMT+02:00")); *//change time zone using GMT*
    System.out.println(calendario.getTime()); *// I get the same hour: 14:12:25*
    Why? How to do it using GMT format?
    Thanks

    Ok, thanks. The last question, this changing of timezone and the hour I am getting, is respecting the timezone daylight saving?, I mean if the TimeZone I set is in daylight savings, I will get the correct hour according to this?What DrClap said.
    However, I think you still may be under some misapprehension about time zones:
    1. A Date does NOT have a timezone, even though it stores a date/time value.
    2. Setting a Calendar's timezone does NOT change the time stored in the Calendar. You may even need to run its complete() or computeFields() method to have the timezone change reflected in all its fields (not sure).
    3. As DrClap said, if you are using a DateFormat to display the Calendar, you need to set its* timezone in order to see what you want (for reason 2 above).
    It's amazing to me that after 10 years this API still gives so many problems (and believe me, you're not the only one).
    One thing you might also want to do is have a look at [url http://joda-time.sourceforge.net/]Joda Time. It's been around for a long time now, and so is quite mature; and is fully interchangeable with standard Java date/time classes. In fact, many of its ideas were under consideration for Java Version 7 as JSR-310, but were decided against (still not quite sure why, as in my view the current API is very poor).

  • Published Calendar CHanging the Time of Events

    I am using iCal 4.0.4 on my MacBook Pro with OS 10.6.5. I have both personal and work related calendars in iCal. The personal calendars sync to mobile me very successfully and from there to my mobile devices. The problem is with the calendars which are stored on "On My Mac" which I want to publish to a website via Mobile me. In the past this was simple, however after having an overhaul of our calendars, I noticed that the published calendars were all 8 or 9 hours ahead of the correct time. I have followed the advice on the support pages regarding setting time zones and nothing is working. I have tried using floating and that doesn't seem to work either. Any suggestions?
    Thank you

    Thanks for the reply and the suggestions. I changed the time of a Powershot file in Elements and used the file/write metadata to files as you suggested but with the same outcome - an hour's difference between what is in Elements and what is recorded on the hard drive. The messages stated metadata safely saved to file. I also checked the file properties - achive was ticked not read only....

  • What is the wisdom of a calendar program that wrongly changes appt times?

    Does anyone know why the iCal program doesn't have safeguards to "lock" appointment dates and times a user sets?
    This week has to be a real eye opener for hundreds if not thousands of Mac users whose appointment times were changed by the DST patch.
    After the Daylight Savings Time patch, my clock was correct but my appointment times were changed--ALL WERE MOVED FORWARD ONE HOUR. In other words a 10:00 am appointment now reads 11:00 am.
    1.) Has this been addressed by Apple?
    2.) Is this a problem with all OS versions and all iCal versions?
    3.) Finally, if a calendar can't keep times, what good is it?
    Does anybody have the definitive answers to these questions?
    I'd love to hear Apple has changed this in later versions of iCal. Otherwise, I have to start looking for a new calendar program. I just about lost a major contract yesterday because I showed up at the wrong time because of iCal.
      Mac OS X (10.4.9)   also use Mac OS X (10.4.3) and .Mac

    Robert,
    I'm hoping this was a problem addressed by Apple and that because I synced with an older version of ical it came up. In looking through past posts, most are from last year. Your problem was mentioned in past posts. I don't change my times so I haven't seen that problem--use when my clock was adjusted for DST.
    I'm looking for someone who knows more about it.

  • Calendar time changed when sync between itouch and mac

  • SCEP date range reports change over time

    Not really sure how to title this, but here is the scenario. I have altered a canned report to run the first Monday of every month and dump a Word file w/links into a folder. The alteration of this report is simply changing the end date to be -30 from today.
    So I am getting a 30 day report of all computers that were infected. The report runs and looks to be accurate based on alerting I have setup. The problem comes when I take this report and start to drill down into the data using the links in the report. Let's
    say my report shows a virus name with an infection count of 3. I can click on 3 and see a list of PCs that were infected....well not so much. If between the time the PC was infected and the time I look at the report, any of the 3 PCs were cleaned of the infection,
    then they will not show up in the drilldown. So if a single PC was cleaned...the count still shows 3, but clicking on 3 only shows 2 computers now. This pretty much goes for any data on the main page.
    So essentially the report is pretty useless to go back in time and see detailed info on the incidents since the status of every bit of info in that report has changed over time. I am not a SQL person, but I did have one of SQL team look at the database and
    she can't see anywhere that she can pull archived data from. Any idea what direction I can point her in to get the type of reports I am looking for?

    Yes, I know this is an old post, but I’m trying to clean them up. Did you solve this problem, if so what was the solution?
