Change Color in Messages and General Customization (Pixi Plus Verizon)

Hi everyone, I just got the Palm Pixi Plus and I'm still figuring everything out, so I hope this isn't a silly question. Is there a way to change the background color of each contact in Messaging? My outgoing messages are always green and incoming messages are always displayed in blue - is there a way to assign a color to a contact or message thread?
It also seems that in general, the display of the phone does not seem very customizable - is this true or have I just not figured it out? For instance, changing colors/font sizes in menu, adding a larger clock to the Launcher screen, etc, options that are pretty standard on all cell phones. Is changing the wallpaper really the only way to customize the display?

Hello kbend and welcome to the forums;
By default, wallpaper and sound customizations are the extent of changes you can make. However, as was noted in the official Palm blog http://blog.palm.com/palm/2010/03/makeover-madness.html the homebrew community has the ability to "theme" your device, changing nearly every aspect of the user interface.
Please be aware however, adding homebrew applications or patches is not supported by Palm, and we would be unable to troubleshoot anything related to these features.

What I recommend you try doing first is to turn iMessage off then back on. If that doesn't work, make sure that your Apple ID and password are correct. If everything seems correct and you still can't send out messages using iMessage instead of text message, I think you should either try calling AppleCare at 1-800-MY-IPHONE (1-800-694-7466) and/or scheduling an appointment at the Genius Bar at an Apple Store (that is, if there's one close to you).

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Must be a hidden keyboard combination for temperature and tint. Not sure if the user can set different settings of each that the keystrokes will take you thru. Just hit the reset button in the Adjust pane to get it back to normal.

How to change color of background and font in Message Boxes

I have a req, where I have to display a warning message for certain condition. I did that using pagecontext.putDialogMessage(msg).
But the business wants to have the displayed message in a more bright color. I didn't come across any documentation on how to change the background and font of a Message Box. Can you please help me out in solving this issue ??

Here are my responses:
For displaying a warning message, putDialogMessage takes only an OAException bean.
OAException is a java class and not a java bean.I'm not clear on how to use a OARawTextBean to display a warning message. I tried looking thru dev guide but still am not clear on how to do it.

Email download changes color to blue and prints blue

I recently purchased a Satellite Pro L300=EZ1523 and all is great except when I download attachment from email it turns the color to blue and also prints out in blue color. This seems to come from Picasa3. How can I fix this issue? My documents print out the way they should. Any help would be much appreciated.

You just changing the color on runtime without saving it, next time you launch the form it will read the default properties set. Follow the steps in the below post written by jmcilhinney
to create the settings (remember to create unique and easy to refer names):

and then from your code you can set the new colors as following:
Dim slateBlue As Color = Color.FromName("AliceBlue")
My.MySettings.Default.BackColor = slateBlue
Like this everytime you change the color will be saved in the temp folder of the user machine and will be retreived on each launch.
You will be able to see the new settings created in your app.config as below:

Just a note that changing the above value in the code will not reflect in app.config file, rather since it is a user scoped variable it will be saved in C:\Users\{YourUsername}\AppData\Local\ under you application dir in the file user.config as

How to change color of tables and regions in OA Framework pages

Dear all
I want to change colour of tables and regions of oracle standard pages.One way to do it is that I can add code for tables and regions CSS definitions in for each page in correspoding CO,which is not feasible since we have large number of COs in standard pages.I heard that oracle has provided some method to change look and feel of the pages.If anybody knows about it ,plz do let me know.

Change color for trim and registration mark

The trim and registration marks are having the color name "All" in the generated pdf from InDesign. Any one help me out on how to change the color to K (black) while generating PDF out of InDesign.

Dynamic button change color on click and reset the unclicked buttons

I have have 3 buttons created dynamically from JSON file.
When I click on any of them the color is changed to red. (this is good).
But when I am going to click another button the previous red that I have clicked earlier doesn't change to it's grey statement, except from the last button which is the only one that works (is changing between red and grey).
If for the JSON make variable for the index e.g.(0,1,2) is working, but I want to make it work without index it. I want to make it with symbol's attr.

At stageCreationComplete I have it as a function, but it doesn't work correct.
I want to know why.
The problem is that when I use getJSON, it creates the ChildSymbols and keeps in memory only the last record (index).
So, I believe that I need to count the indexes of the JSON files and store it perhaps.
What I mean.

it has 3 index. And on ChildSymbol I give the attr as .attr("id", item.title);
If I make index.length it will give me 3 as number.
But if I make item.title.length it will count the letters of its Word, the result will be (7,10,5).
How Can I make it to count the word itself an give me 3 as a result?

I want to override Length Validator Message as I want to tell the user that phone number

Strictly speaking a number in this format is no number. It's a phone number and you should use a regular expression validator for this.

Buttons in Encore CS6 are disappearing/changing color in preview and on DVD

Running Encore CS6 on Mac OSX Snow Leopard 10.6.8
I have everything in Encore running smoothly, the only problem is I've laid out the buttons (created from text in Photoshop CS6) and when I go to preview the DVD menu the Buttons will go white, partially disappearing - a vague outline of some is available.
Below is the image as it should appear - this is how it was designed and how it shows up in the Encore viewer window
And Here is how the image is showing up when I try to preview or when it is burned to a DVD. Note that the Images that are not buttons have no problem and stay the same - it's only the ones made into buttons that are the issue.
After browsing other Adobe forums it was suggested to change the (=1) next to the button in photoshop to (=2) or (=3), I tried this and it did nothing.
I don't know how common this issue is, but hopefully I can get some help with this issue.

Same here! I found this very confusing link below which gives me files that won't open in the recommended 7-zip and gives errors in winzip. I can find some menus, but not the old ones such as the wedding menus that I used to have with CS5.5.
I'm not even sure what the 'premiereproCs6content' files are supposed to provide. Regardless the executables within it creates errors, when I try to run it.
Can somebody let me know where I can find those missing menus?, or give me a logical process to make this work? I'm on downloadable CS6 master collection. Thanks, Andy

Netflix anoying upgrade messages and generally pissed off!

Is there anyone from Lenovo here? I am really beginning to regret my purchase of the K1. I am getting constant update messages from Netflix app witth no way to update it. That is really anoying in tyat it happens after every episode or show I watch. This all seems like a half assed atempt at marketing a tablet. What is it, pure greed, that keeps from access to the actual Android market? Get off your asses and get us the features we want, like updating apps, books, movies, erc. Well, I, for one, will be telling every I know to buy a different tablet. God only knows when you guys will get your act together.

Changing color and contrast before capturing analog video?

Is it possible to change color (colorcast / saturation and contrast etcetera) before capturing analog video in Final Cut (software)? I have some old dv tapes I would like to upscale to hd and are considering to upscale via the super vhs outlet / connector on the camera through an I/O box (maybe Matrox).
Do you loose much quality when compared to capturing from DV (digital capture)? I would like to make "a first generation" good capture.....

You would need a capture card and a deck with built in controls, or an external TBC that works with compatible decks. Not every deck allows for this external control.
S-VHS or component out would be lesser quality than straight DV capture via firewire. Via firewire it is lossless...straight digital capture. analog capture is a loss of quality. Capture as DV and then upscale with After Effects or Compressor...or get a DV deck with SDI out and capture with...oh, the Mini doesn't do SDI. You'd need the MXO2 LE for best quality capture. With your options, the best bet would be capture as DV and then use Compressor. Or spring for the Matrox MXO2 LE.

iOS 7 back ground makes it difficult to read the text. I know I can't change it in mail and messages, but Apple really needs to allow some customization. This is really difficult to read for older eyes.

yeah I agree with all you guys statements, the color scheme on IOS 7 *****,
I am having to constantly turn on off on off on off "invert color" mode just to switch between
the home screen, typing, and reading text messages, its an absolute pain!!
I never had any of this trouble in IOS 6.
What they SHOULD do, is make 2 different color schemes
one LIGHT color scheme,
and one DARK color scheme, for those using "invert colors" frequently.
See, what Apple doesn't seem to understand is, when you turn on "invert colors",
the lock screen turns bright WHITE, so you have to turn invert colors OFF just to read the lock screen,
then back ON when you want to type an email, read a text message, etc etc, then turn it off again when
you want to play a game.
and see, after awhile, when you switch invert colors on off on off after so many times, it drains on the devices resources, & you have to reboot the device to get accessibility options working again. I have to reboot the device several times a day now just because of that, when its just a simple fix of adding a darker color scheme as a 2nd or alternative option.
I mean, even as a normal sighted person, turning on invert colors is annoying when your at the lock screen or playing a game, think about those of us who depend upon it just to read text on the screen.. VoiceOver has the smilar issues when you have to turn it off on off on all the time it drains the system resources of the phone also,
so I agree completely...
but ya know, they don't listen to us... cuz its an option they don't use, so they don't understand... If they used that option for even 5 seconds, they'd understand what we're talking about.... What Apple should do is hire one of us as a beta tester to help them test out these types of issues, from one of us like myself who knows a thinkg or two about accessibility options of the phone.
I've been an Apple idevice fan for years, but, IOS 7 was a major disappointment in the accessibility arena..
