Change color preferences of bins & sequences

My current bin & sequence color is grey. Is there any way to change them to a more pleasant color? Since I have a lot of bins open for my current project, is it also possible to make each bin a certain color?

That's a great visual. But see the grey background? I'm talking about changing that color. Can we?
By the way, when I right-click, I only see an un-bold Paste option. No Cut, Copy or Label option, not even in un-bold or greyed-out.

Changing *typeface* in Mail's Fonts & Colors preference pane?

I want to change the font for my message list and mailboxes, but the Fonts & Colors preference pane only allows me to select the font family (e. g., Gill Sans) and not the font typeface (e. g., Book) that falls under it.
If I go to Format > Show Fonts, the pane shows both the family and the typefaces within the family, and I can use this in styling text within a message. But not it seems through the preference dropdown menu.
Is there a workaround, or a plugin?

I am not sure why they decided that the font for the list view for notes would use the same font the notes itself. It does not look good when going through the side through the different items, then you hit notes. I changed the font to match the other list font but does not look good in the note, where actually I would love to user marker felt. Please, if any apple people are reading this, please have the message list font cover the font for the note list.

[CS4] Change color of Sequence markers

Not having found any hints that changing color of sequence markers is possible either googling or the help file I'm hoping against hope its possible and I'm just not using the right strings in my searches.
So is it possible to change the color of sequence markers in CS4. To me the default is hard to find on timeline and not hardly distinguishable from the center marker you can use to drag the work area around. Making them a more noticable color would be pretty useful I think.

When you try to print, use COMMAND P, it should bring up a window similar to this you can select the preset there. It shoud remember the preset after.

Bin - Sequence = Why should I render?

When I just drag a new clip from the bin to the sequence timeline.. and then I think that I have the sequence settings exactly as I capture the clip.. but it changes color to gray and can use a render.
Is there a way to figure out (like a place where the settings are visible and simple), what the difference is between the two and why a render is possible.
I want to make sure the settings of both the clip and the sequence are exactly the same.
I'm using the FCP 5.1.4.

Grey means NO RENDER. Green (light and dark), orange, red...those are RENDER indicators. dark purple means RENDERED.
In the timeline go to SEQUENCE>SETTINGS. That will show you the sequence settings.
on the clips, right click or control click on it and choose FORMAT>LOGGING INFO.
See how they are different.

Manually change color of Exchange calendar in iCal?

Good evening. Got kind of an odd problem...and not really sure when it became an issue, although I think it happened after I upgraded to Lion. But for whatever reason I cannot get to the 'Get Info' part of one of my calendars that is an Exchange calendar. I can right-click on all of my iCloud calendars and get to the get info section in order to change colors, sharing, etc, but when I click the get info option on my Exchange calendar, nothing happens.
Not sure when this became the case, because I know I used to be able to change the color.
Was wondering if maybe there was a preference file that I could manually edit in order to change the color, or if someone else has run into this and found a solution.

My Illustrator does not allow me to change colors using swatches panel. Help pleas.

Few days ago I started having strange problems with my Illustrator CS5 application. I am using MacBook Pro with Intel Processor. After major update on the Mac OS few days ago I noticed I can not change colors in my drawings using swatches panel. The function on my Illustrator CS5 stopped working. When I select object and try to change its fill or stroke color using fill and stroke from the options bar above work space, none of the swatches would work. The are there how ever nothing hapends when I select them, the color remains the same.The same thing happens if I try to use the swatch panel, I select the object then I try to select new color from swatch but the fill or stroke does not change. I can only change color on my drawings using the color panel but that is not useful for me since I need to get precise colors using approved color swatches ether from pantone library or approved by client.
The other strange thing is my selection tool does not deselect when I click outside on or of the artboard, the object remains selected until I reselect another object or use the keyboard short cut to deselect it.
I have tried various options to resolve the issue from deleting and reseting preference to completely uninstalling and reinstalling Illustrator CS5. I even installed back my old CS4 version because I had to complete a project and the same issue is happens there as well. I also reset the application using Time Machine from few months ago when it was working correctly. What happens when I reset or reinstall the app, it works for about 10 min correctly as it should and and then it reverts to the same problem. I am out of options and do not know what else I could do to fix this. Right now I am working on my old Mac tower G5 and CS4 where everything works as it is suppose to, but I really need to get this fixed. Can any one help or has solution for my problem? Please.

How to change colors of designs

I would love to be able to change colors of designs I make in Printshop. On my PC I could just highlight an object and choose a color and change it. The Mac is supposed to be the great "artistic" machine, yet it can't seem to do half the stuff my PC does and did for free. I was told to buy Photoshop which is hundreds of dollars. I don't need to do all that it offers, just need to change colors of a logo I've designed. Is there any way to do this on a Mac or do I need to go back to using my PC for graphic design projects?

You can't expect everything to be thrown in there, especially for free. Beyond the basics, pretty much anything else would have a personal preference aspect to it.
GraphicConverter is one of the few commercial applications I have - definitely worth the money.
For something free, there is also Gimp.

Change color of font in part of email message

I can't figure out how to change the font color of just a certain part of my email. This should seem easy and it looks like you only highlight the text and click on colors. But that doesn't work. When I clicked on help it said go to preferences. This only changes the color of the font of specific text like quoted text. I want to just change the font color of a certain sentance or a few words. Surely you have to be able to do this right?

It sounds like you doing it correctly. I just created a test message, selected a couple of words and then clicked Format - Color and chose my color. The only text that changed color was what was selected. If that doesn't do it for you then I'd recommend using your AppleCare telephone support, you have 90 days of free support so take advantage of it!

How to change colors in calendars in ios7

I find I can change colors on the Exchange account (gmail) but not the regular gmail account. I do not use iCloud for cals.
In exchange there is an info button (i with a circle around it), this is where colors can be chosen at will.
In gmail there is no way to make this choice.
A problem, since I have several daylong events in a dark color that are obscuring, viz masking, hour long appointments due to the color schemes that cannot apparently be changed.
is this true?

PS: I've read that exchange has been deprecated as an account type and that "Gmail" is the preferred option for google calendars, etc. Is that true? Will Gmail accounts push notifications the way Exchange did?

Precisely the point.
Exchange (run through native Apple Cal.) gives these options.
Gmail (ditto) doesn't.
My understanding is that now the preference is to use Gmail over Exchange, which is no longer supported by google.
I've experienced problems syncing with Exchange but not with Gmail (some calendars do others don't sync in E.)—maybe for this reason, I don't know. I currently combine where needed and possible so that I have the color option, which to me is worth the slight inconvenience of running two different Gmail calendars at the same time.
It sounds like you don't use either just iCloud for syncing calendars, so I may open another thread to ask about this situation. thanks.

PS file in illustrator changes color when I move it??

When I open a ps file in illustrator some objects change color when I move them and are displayed correctly in preview and Photoshop, why and how do I fix this?
Also the object seems to be duplicated. It should have the same and only the colors of the scale bar. In another file the image part is correct and the scale bar is incorrect.

It is an odd problem. The "good" screen shot is from opening the PS file in mac's preview. As it is, I use several tools in illustrator to get the final image where I need it to be; several layers and what not. I have tired 5, 5.1, and 6 with the same problem. Again I have a different problem when I use a different figure:
As you can see just the opposite problem is the case. The map part is good while the color scale if off. Both parts are made in the same way and more or less in the same sequence, I don't think it is purely a problem at birth and other software can "see" it correctly, so I don't think it is a hardware problem.

Changing colors brings up a new dialog I've never seen before...

I think I broke my Photoshop CS4.
For some reason, when I try to change colors anywhere (it could be the color of text, or the main foreground color) a dialog with swatches appears instead of the eyedropper tool I'm used to using in this scenario. I can't click on anything else in the screen except the options in this annoying swatches dialog.
It looks like this :
This is extremely annoying and frustrating, as this dialog won't tell me what the hexadecimal color values are (even when I click "Define Custom Colors").
As of right now, the project I was working on is stalled until I figure out how to make this thing go away and let me use the eyedropper tool to change the color of something.
This problem is new. I had my CS4 running since it came out and it never did this before.

Why did my audio & video lines change colors?

I was working in a sequence when suddenly all my lines changed colors on me. The audio and video lines are the exact same shade of blue and its very disorienting. Even after I alter an audio clip in Audition the colors don't change. I've tried quitting, restarting my mac, opening older projects... I can't get the original colored lines back. Is this some new software update? How do I get the different colored lines back?

Okay let me rephrase. The color change is weird but not a major issue. The major issue is that my audio waveforms aren't being displayed anymore.
Even after I expand that audio line theres no waveform... I need to see where my audio is peaking. Any idea whats going on or how to fix?

Change color palette of combination chart

Hello everyone,
I am experiencing a problem when trying to change to color palette of a combination chart.
According to the api there should be a method setColorPalette(aColorPalette) and a property colorPalette;
(JsDoc Report - SAP UI development Toolkit for HTML5 - API Reference - sap.viz.ui5.types.Combination)
when I try to call this method I receive the following error:
TypeError: Object [object Object] has no method 'setColorPalette'
I introduced the combination chart before by calling jQuery.sap.require("sap.viz.ui5.types.Combination"); outside of the controller;
I also tried to add the porperty colorPalette in xml, but it seems to be ignored.
Has anyone an idea on what the reason could be?
