IWeb: changing the slideshow image scale and viewing time

I moved my iWeb sites over to another server (iPage) and went through the sites to observe for inconsistencies and problems. While doing this, I noted that my image galleries, when placed into the slides show mode, were very small on my iPad 2 and that they cycled through at a very high speed. I thought this was odd and I wondered if anyone else has observed the same thing? It sounds to me that an HTML under-the-hood modification may be required or a bug fix to the iWeb code is in order, to change the sideshow image scale and viewing time/slide value. Comments? [I suspect that Apple does not hold iWeb bug fixes at or near to the top of its software development to-does priority list. Sounds like I need to change web authoring software.]

Is there any reason photos in an album page display small on the iPad, but normally on an iMac? And videos on a movies page don't play on the iPad, but are OK on the iMac?

How to change a account assignment in and cost distrubution on cost center

Can any one let me know how to change the account assignment and cost distribution on the cost center.
When I am going to change it I could see it is grayed out . Why it is so .Is there any configuration for this in view that
no body can change the account assignment.

Changing color scheme on Transitions and Themes

I would like to use the Newscast theme to create an iMovie; however, I CANNOT use the red color scheme for my audience. How do I change the color scheme for the transitions?

short answer: you can't.
long answer: most animations and 'moving' elements within iM are realized with a technology called QUARTZ. those animations are 'hardwired' in iM. You'd need a Developer-tool, tons of expertise and have to ignore the EULA you signed on installation/usage of iMovie, changing these parts of iLife.
I tried to change colors and fonts in some preset Titles - technically possible, but not within 'normal' usage
Make a enhancement suggestion, allowing iM to use plug-ins, add-ons, 'Jam Packs' in future versions of iMovie:

BT Infinity Change of Address Order Blocked and Lo...

I have just moved house, and I placed an order to move my services, including BT Infinity, to the new address about a week before.
A couple of days later, BT called me and said that the engineer could not attend on the 8th August, but would attend on the 12th August, and I was happy with that.
However on 12th August, the engineer did not show up. When I called BT, they said the order was blocked in "pending" status, and had not been processed. I called BT several more times and was on the phone for at least an hour each time, passed from pillar to post and back again, and/or to vaguely fictional sounding escalation departments or other teams.
One person told me my order was blocked and needed to be cancelled. Another person told me my order had already been cancelled but not correctly.
The last information I was given was that they had to email my problem to yet another special department who would get back to me "within a few days".
I would wait a few more days, but I remember getting stuck in this exact same loop with a house move about 6 or 7 years ago, and it took weeks and many more phone calls before I got any broadband. My experience with BT is that if everything works smoothly and goes through first time, it is all very good. However, as soon as there is any small problem with an order, it turns into a big disaster and you can't find anyone who can fix it.
Can anyone give any advice about how I can get through to the right people who can sort this out? Also, I've heard that writing a letter to the Managing Director of BT sometimes helps - does anyone have the correct address?
(If I've posted this to the wrong section, please advise which section it should go in).

All, just to give a happy ending to this story, the BT enginner has turned up today and has got the Infininty working for me, so at least on the 3rd attempt I have now got a good service.
In fact the engineer who turned up did a great job and was able to get the modem working where I wanted it to be, even though the internal wiring seemed to be messed up and he had to spend over an hour trying to figure out how to get it working. It was a new house that I had just moved into and was not familiar with the setup of sockets, or which one was wired as master, and it appeared that a previous owner had been messing with things and using non standard approach.
Unfortunately I fear that because of that, someone else may miss their appointment later, as he was here for over 2 hours in total. I guess that's why sometimes they don't show up, if a previous job took longer than expected.
The only issue I have now is that the phone socket in the room where Sky needs to be installed does not work, but it may be that it never worked in the first place. BT guy told me that we would need to wire it to orange pair to get it to work, assuming the cable is not compromised. I have posted a separate message under "Phones" asking for advice on that.

Changing colors for days in month view

My work schedule fluctuates so that I don't work the same days every week during a month. Is there a way I can change the color of some of the days in month view so that I can quickly see my work days in ical?

In iCal colours are tied to specific calendars, so make a vacation calendar and a sick calendar (you forecast your sickness? Cool) and an out of office calendar and set the colours to whatever colour suits. Then when you are going to be in London select the out of office calendar and set it to last the four days. It will show as a coloured bar across those days in month view.

Camera raw changes color in adobe bridge and photoshop

Hi all, I am quite new to use RAW. I have raw files that I want to edit. Unfortunately, the moment I click on the raw files, the color changes.
Is there anything I should do to the color setting?
I am using a canon 20d and Adobe Photoshop, Bridge CS 3 and Adobe Camere Raw 4.0

The image is indeed rife with red color.
The fact that the embedded JPEG isn't quite as oversaturated with red as Adobe's conversion with the lowest color temperature of 2000 just says that Canon's conversions have more range at the low-end of the color temperature setting.
This is the color from the embedded JPEG. Clearly it's dominated by a reddish-orange color, though not as red as that from Adobe's software.
This is the color from Adobe Camera Raw's conversion at the (low-end minimum) color temperature of 2000:
This is the photo converted with Canon DPP using "click white balance" on the bridge beam on the left:
Note, however, that (though the dropper seems to have incredible range) DPP does not allow you to specifically SET a color temperature lower than 2500K, which yields this color:
The bottom line here is that the "Click White Balance" function in Canon's DPP has far more range than ACR, where even the white balance dropper "mins out" at 2000K.
That's something the Adobe folks may want to look into, to extend the range of ACR's capabilities to suit this kind of IR photography.

Changing colors on a border and making border wider

I am using Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0. When I choose the ripple frame under effects, it puts a white small ripple around the border. Is there any way to change the rippled border to a different color? Also, is there any way to make the ripple larger around the border? Thanks for any suggestions you may have. I tried the splatter frame but it wasn't any wider.

Cheryl, It can be done but the effect isn't as good as it can be using other techniques. FWIW, I'd just skip down to the other methods. If you're determined to use the ripple frame, Jay Arraich's site has a tut on how to do it. Look for "How do I make the Frame effects in the Effects palette wider on large images?" here: http://www.arraich.com/elements/pse_hhow1.htm#resize_frame You won't be able to use the replace color command on it as the command won't work on black or white. You could copy the enlarged ripple effect into your clipboard then paste it into a solid color fill adjustment layer to colorize it. To do that, you would select<All; Edit<Copy the black and white frame in normal blend mode. Create the solid color fill adjustment layer. You will need to hold in the Alt key and click on the adjustment layer mask. (If done correctly, it the document will go white as you are looking directly at the mask.) Next, you paste (Edit<Paste) the frame you copied into the mask. If the frame is reverse of what it should be then invert the mask...control I. To remove focus from the mask, alt click it again...or just click on another layer in the layers palette. Two quick simple ways to create photograpic edges... Method 1: 1. Create a blank layer over your image. 2. Use brush tool to paint an edge. Try one of the brushes from the "Thick Heavy Brush Set". Method 2: 1. Create a Solid Color Fill Adjustment layer over your image. 2. Turn on your Grid. 3. Use Rectangular Marquee to draw out a border selection. 4. Fill Selection with Black...(adjustment layer is highlighted in layers palette). 5. Deselect before going to step 6... 6. To create the edge effects, run filters on the adjustment layer mask. Note: Only filters that operate in grayscale will work on a mask. (Try maybe Splatter and Sprayed Strokes filters.) There are other methods but these two will get you started...and in my opinion produce much better results than the ripple frame. HTH, Terri

Adobe Color aka Kuler download and viewing issues

Ive been trying to utilize the new adobe color and I'm finding that once I find a palette I like, I try to download it and when I try to view it, the file type is un supported in all of the CC apps I have including photoshop, Illustrator and after effects Does anyone know how to use them once their downloaded or at least how to view them so they can be used?

You don't need to download the ase file from color.adobe.com to view it in photoshop / Illustrator / After Effects / InDesign / Flash. These products have "Color Themes" panel at
Windows > Extensions > Adobe Color Themes
or
Windows > Color Themes
Simply favorite a theme on color.adobe.com and it would show up in this panel. From here you can use them directly in your designs.

Lightroom changes color photos to black and white error

When I import NEF files into LR, they initially display as Colour, then during the render process, LR changes them to black and white. It has never down this in the past, is there a reson why LR is doing this now? The photos are colour (as shown in Capture NX and Windows explorer), and during importing, I selected 'None' for the develop setting. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? Thank You :-)

Thanks Jao, much appreciated...I must of changed the develop setting...now that I recall, I did go into the Develop->Set Default Settings recently. The reset resolved the issue.

Change technical name of queries and views

Hi everybody,
I need to copy a query with its query views. The problem is that I want to give a new name for each query and each view. And the views will belong to the new query.
Is that possible, or should I copy the query and define the views again?

let say u r in query designer.
than hit the menu tab and select the first tab i.e. QUERY.
now in that choose the option SAVE AS.
it willask you for new name and new technical name.
(the query will still be saved in ur multiprovider.)
for views u have to define new views for ur new query

Service Requests - Assignment Block "Change History"

In SAP CRM 7.0 for the Service Requests.
How can I add a new field ("Z" fields) in the assignment block "Change History" and this new field has an historial (new value and old value)?
Is in customizing or views or class implementation?

I'll explain the requirement:
When we modify an extended field of Assignment Block "Service Request Details" (Component: SRQM_INCIDENT_H - view: IncidentHeaderEF) its change doesn't appear in the Assignment Block "Change History" (Component: BTCHIST - view: HdrOVWindow), we need to appear this change in the Assignment Block "Change History" with old and new value as well as "changed by".

Read data from assignment block

Hi all,
I'm a bit puzzled for the moment with a development I've done.
In short, I've created 2 views, 1 with a value node context node and 1 with a model node context node type BuilContactPerson.
These 2 views are put on an overview page. On the overview page I have a button 'Save'. In the eh_onsave event I need to read the content of the assignment block from the model node. Anyone an idea how to get this done?
Some background info on what I am doing.
In the BP_CONT_SEARCH component I've enhanced the SearchResult view and put a button "Move" on top of the assignment block. I also made the SearchResult table multi select.
The purpose of this is that you can select multiple contacts, hit the move button and then enter in a new customer where the contacts have to be moved to.
So, the selected contacts are showing correctly in my assignment block and I can read the newly entered customer. The only thing that is left is that I need to loop over the contacts so I can move them. Code to move them is also already done and tested.
Help is much appreciated.
