Change country codes to get updates?

Hello everybody!
I have a German N82 (96.01), RM 313, V 20.0.062, black and I would like to do a software update but the PC suite updater and OVI both keep telling me that there are no updates available.
So now i am thinking that this is somehow connected with the country code but I dont even know how the find mine out.
Is there a way to change the phones country code in order to get the software updates? If so, what risks are there by changing the country code and what disadvantages. Tnx a lot in advance.
cheers

Exactly. Modifying the phone's product code is something that cannot be done with the software provided by Nokia and is an operation that will not only void the phone's warranty but also, potentially, cause Nokia to wash their hands of the phone altogether.
Because it will make the user attempting to perform this operation lose any support for their device, the operation cannot be discussed on these forums.
If you still want to go ahead with it you'll have to use your favourite search engine and find out for yourself how to do it.

  • Macbook Pro 15 Change Country Code to get 11n and 300 Mbit/s

    Hello All!
I have a question: how can I change Country Code on my MBP 15" to get wi-fi 11n mode and 300 Mbit/s (or at least 130) with my TL-WR1043ND router. I've changed the Region setting in the web interface of my router, but it didn't solve the problem. And there is a wonder but my macbook 13" has Country Code: X2 (sometimes FR) and use 11n mode with transmit rate: 130 Mbit/s. So, as for me, that is very strange dependence — Country Code and Connection Speed.
    System info:
    Router preferences:
    Thanx!

So, I have MBP 15-inch, Mid 2010 and MB 13-inch, Mid 2009. And, as I said before, MB 13 doesn't have the problem with 11g mode, it has Contry Code X2 or sometimes FR, but never UA. And the MB13 is older then the MBP15. Maybe problem is in the router, but I don't know how figure out it. And I don't understand, at all, the dependence Transfer Rate and Country Code — why software is restrict connection speed of hardware?

  • Trying to change country but keep getting "You have at least one incomplete pass. Passes must be completed before you change stores" How do i complete passes

Trying to change country but keep getting "You have at least one incomplete pass. Passes must be completed before you change stores" How do i complete passes

I have the same problem. I found the passes page but it does not show how to complete the passes.
BTW This is ridiculous. All I did was click an itunes link to an song I heard on a website and iTunes said, "This artist is in not in your countries iTunes store. Would you like to switch to another store to purchase?" I clicked yes and now I can't upgrade my apps, I can't switch back, I can't do anything.
    Things I've tried:
    • Turning on / off email notifications and clicking save.
    • There is nothing else I can do on this page.

Could You please somebody advice, whether You have any experiance with changing existing country code in SAP? I need to change it in all tables in for Montenegro.

Do You think that SLO service provided by SAP is a good idea for this?
Is there any OSS note how to deal with this complex change?

  • Changing country. Can't update apps via iTunes

Have strange issue with my iTunes. After changing country form Russia to Ukraine my iTunes only searches and displays the number of updates. But when I want to update it and clicking on "update apps" iTunes says "No updates are currently available. To check for updates for another APPLE ID, sign in whit that Apple ID."
But at the same time my iPhone successfully searches and updates all apps for the same Apple ID, and then transfers it while sync with iTunes. What is the problem with my iTunes?

    The solution:
Delete all your apps in itunes you have purchased in previous country
    Reinstall it

  • Change country code in address

So ... a moment's inattention while setting up my profile and I find I'm in Belorussia instead of Belgium <g>
The forum mechanism is bright enough to spot a discrepancy here, and suggests I go back and edit it: but when I dutifully go back to correct it, I find that the country code is not exposed for editing. Hints and tips welcome.

    You could move?
Maybe John C will be able to help you out in the future ... I suspect he is buried under wider issues right now, but in the past he has helped people with problems with their accounts. Ask again in a few weeks/months. Until then, you might look into the Russian classes at Berlitz.

  • Changing country and you get locked out of your iTunes account?

    Hi All,
Can anyone help? I've sadly got nowhere with Apple sending just a cut and paste process that I've tried (and which fails to understand the point)
I have n itunes account set up in the UK. I've moved myself and my UK bank account address to the US and yet whatever I do I get the usual "your bank account number is no t a vlid bank account number" etc
    - Applecare say this is a common problem for expats and they cant help try the iTunes helpdesk
    - Itunes helpdesk is just an email address from cut and paste people who dont reply to specific problems (and customers)
    1. I dont want or see the need to change bank accounts just to continue my custom with Apple.
    2. As I am a UK ITunes customer. I HAVE to enter  a UK postcode  but I cant because my UK bank account is (of course) now a US ZIP code
    3. I shouldn't have to add a new (and unnecessarily confusing and tedious)  second iTunes account even if I *can* have "up to five accounts per device" - I have several Macs/Mac books, iPhones etc and I really dont want to turn what should be a simple financial relationship into a messy multiple account relationship. (I love Apple, believe it or not, so if Amazon can do it all with a single account and multiple devices (UK *OR* US) then so can Apple who are genyine experts in inventory management (since 1997)
    (its a case of I'm ****** if I do and ****** if I dont)
Any suggestions most welcome - I'm getting increasingly fed up that I cannot install apps on the iphone (or even update them!!) and add to that the fact that now I cant download apps via the fancy-schmancy appstore on my Macbook pro 2011 because... yes you guessed it, I'm stuck with the same iTunes store question (Before replying please see point 1 above before suggesting point 1) <wink>

    Problem solved:
    - uninstall JDeveloper (including integrated WebLogic server).
    - change configuration setting (Windows 7) country code to US English
    - I removed all registry entries having "Middleware" or "JDeveloper"
    - Install jdeveloper again
    - test => OK
    - change country code back to Belgium (Dutch)
    - test => OK

  • HT5622 Apple ID profile update does not allow changing area or country codes

Is there any way to do this?  Or to report the problem to a webmaster?  (I presume the country code for US is 1.)
It will only accept putting the are code in the country code box and leaving area code box empty.  Any other change attempt just produces "Please specify a vaild phone number."

Solved with assistance from iTunes support.  The main problem was that you cannot use an e-mail address which is associated with your existing account.  So the answer is to set set up a new e-mail address with your Internet Service provider.  Next step is to log into iTunes using your existing appleID (which in my case was a non e-mail address as mentioned in my question) and then modify your itunes id and e-mail account, both to the new e-mail address.  I tried it and it worked.  All downloaded history such as itunes music and apps that I have downloaded onto my devices over time has been retained.  Furthermore I can now use the "Find my iPhone app" to find both my iphone and iPad.  Likewise will be able to use this revised appleid to access iCloud once available and synch my apps etc.,  Very pleased with iTunes Support's prompt response and remedy.
