  • Changing country for Itunes Stores purposes

I changed country. I used live in France where my account was created where I still have a credit of 0.55 Euros. When I want to change country the system ask me to spend this little money, as you can image, nothing can be bought with it. Therefore I find myself in a loop. How can be reset this account? I do not loosing 0.55 Euros.
    I currently live in Chile.
Thanks in advance for any help.
    Greetings

Sorry for the above typing mistake "I do not care loosing 0.55, I just want to reset the account".

  • Updating apps after changing country & iTunes store

Ive change country and updated my iTunes store account. Since then I've learnt that my apps are linked to the address of the iTunes account where they were brought. ITunes tells me I have apps that need to be updated, but when I ask it to show me these apps, I get nothing, as the apps to be updated dont match to the account I'm now using.
The way I've managed to work around this is to transfer all my brought apps onto my iPad, and ask it to show me apps to be updated, which it happily does. I update all the apps with the iPad and then sync these pack to my Mac and now these apps have been updated to belong to my new iTunes account! Any updates to these apps can be done with iTunes from now on.
My problem lies with the amount of apps I've brought over the last couple of years. I've updated the app's address using the above method for 90% of my apps, and now have the odd app that requires this lengthy process to catch the remaing 10%.
My question is - is there a quicker way to find out which of my apps belong to my old iTunes store account without having to migrate back to my old iTunes store and changing bank account details?
    Thanks.

You'll have to switch back to the French store to update those apps.

  • Can't change country for account

I recently moved from the UK, and though my cards are still attached to banks in there, they now have billing addresses in the US. So, I've dutifully gone off to my iTunes account to change the address details to my US billing address -- but it doesn't work!
Or it doesn't work all the way .... When I go to change country, selecting the US, I follow the onscreen instructions to change my card billing addresses. But after clicking "Done", I get an error saying my account was changed while I was editing it (errrr, yeah ....) and my details could not be saved (wha ...?).
Except some of the account details are saved: I've now got a US street address and phone number, but the town, post code, and (all importantly) country are still the old UK info. This is very interesting, but not very helpful. Nevertheless, no matter what I do, I can't seem to get the account details finally switched over to my US address.
Any thoughts? Is this some bizarre insoluble problem caused by having a UK card with a US billing address? (That would also be interesting, but very annoying!)
    Cheers,
    Carl

A couple things I'd like to mention since last posting.
First off, I called Apple again about my issue to see if they were getting close to fixing it. During the conversation the rep i spoke to suggested a work around. Basically, she pointed me to go back to the myinfo site and at the bottom where it says "Don't have an Apple ID?" link to click that and create a new one. So i did and set it all up as US (instead of Canada which it wasn't letting me change from). I went to iTunes and logged into the US store with my new ID and it of course pops up a window saying to verify the info and such and enter your form of payment(or select none). By doing this I was able to authenticate my iPhone and get it all up and working.
Now my initial concern with setting up a new Apple ID was that the music I had previously purchased with my other account while living in Canada would no longer play because I'd have to authenticate the new ID. So I tested it. When you download a song with a different ID and then click play, it does ask you to authenticate but I am still able to play my older songs too. They also all sync up to the iPhone just fine and all play just fine. So right now it's my recommended work around.
Little problem though. while I was able to make a new ID with a US address that showed up properly in iTunes, it still would not accept my credit card. My credit card is a Canadian card but I have changed it to a US billing address. iTunes, however, knows this and when you enter it in the payment options and click ok, it tells you that you must enter a valid US credit card. So all im doing now is buying iTMS gift cards with my credit card and then adding them to my new Apple ID when want to purchase something.
    Hope this helps a bit.

  • Cant change country on store

Its very weird what I am experiencing.
I am trying to change my app store back to US.
I know that in order to be able to be in the US store I need a valid credit card from the US.
If I go to change country, on itunes it ends in an error saying :
"we could not complete your itunes store request. the network connection could not be established change country"
    So nothing.
If I want to change the credit card to a US credit card it doesnt let me cause the country is set as default to the one different than the US. So I cant put in a US credit card.
If I try to do it on my iphone I go to
Setting > Itunes Store and App Store> Hit on the acct> View Acct> >Hit on the country> Then there I hit on Modify Country and nothing happens. JUST A BUG, nnothing happens. so something should be wrong here.

  • Changing country for App store use

I won my ipad while living in Malaysia. I now live back in the UK. I have spent hours trying to change to the UK app store with no success. For example, I want the Google Earth app which is not available in the MY store, but when trying to get it in the UK store I am told that my apple id is only valid for purchases in the MY store.  I have always used a uk debit card and have changed my MY address to my UK address but the drop down box where you select 'county' still only allows for MY states. I change the little flag at the bottom of the page but it just switches back. I have tried switching on and off after signing out of the store. I am defeated at every turn.
I need very simple, fool proof instructions. Can anyone help please?

To switch your country to Germany, you would also need to qualify with residency in Germany. You would need a credit card issued by a German bank with a verifiable German billing address. Or to redeem iTunes Gift cards from Germany.
Otherwise as stated, you can only use the store for China.

  • Change country for apps and store

I asked support for help and they were unable to help.

If you want to change the country your iTunes Store account is in, see:
    http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/articles/comments/switching-an-itunes-store-acc ount-to-a-different-country/
You cannot, however, change the country of your apps or other content. That will all remain bound to the iTunes Store in which they were purchased, and will be unavailable for redownloading or updates once you change the country in which you have your iTunes Store account. For this reason most of us recommend that you open a new iTunes Store account in your new country rather than converting your old account.
    Regards.

  • Changing country & iTunes store

Now I have moved to a new country and also updated my iTunes account to the new country - (Australia), my IPad no longer recognizes any apps that I have brought from my old account purely because of my billing address! Is there any magical wand that can be waved that can convert all the apps in my purchase history to my new iTunes account?
    Thanks!

    This is really a problem.
I am an expat from US, living most of my time (10-11 months of a year in a Non US store).
Then suddenly one day Apple terminate my Apple ID because I access the iTunes Store from a Non US country.  No warning or whatsoever, it just no re-enable option.
I have spend more than 1000 USD for apps, music for both my iOS and Macbook.  Apple should honor all the apps that we already purchase and allow us to upgrade instead of terminating someone's account.
Here is my email to iTunes feedback.
I am a US professional working abroad in Indonesia, Singapore and India.  I have spent thousands of USD in purchasing musics, apps (iOS and Mac), movies, TV series and ebooks, since I was in US and travel.
You have suggest your customers to only have one account, so I do what exactly what you have suggested.
And my account never have problem with it, never also I have a problem with fraud or criminal activities in the Net.
Suddenly, one day I couldn't upgrade my apps, it told me My Apple ID was disabled.  And my expat friends are not having the same problem like me, and yet they are in Singapore most of them.  And I feel being discriminated.
It's amazing that you can just terminate my account over something like this. I'd think you would just reverse any transactions made outside the country or not allow them in the first place. Instead you destroy my entire account. These cloud services are getting scary. I had invested so much money into them, then you can just be taken away from you like this.
To be more consistent actually, you can prohibit me to purchase any new items when I am using non US's IP.  But to stop supporting what I already purchase is too much.
Think about all the apps for my iPad and Macbook won't be honored again to get an upgrade.  I am also afraid of changing devices of not being able to authorize again the new devices.
Apple please be reasonable with your loyal customer."

  • Changing country for TV downloads

I live in Germany. My AppleID/iTunes Store account is a German one.
I just bought an AppleTV here in Germany. I was not altogether surprised that it only lets me download German-language films, because of the above account setup.
If I change the country of my iTunes Store Account to the US (which I can do because I also have a US address and US credit card), am I right in thinking it will also change on the AppleTV at the next Sync, and that I will then have access to all the US TV downloads?
I really hope so, because my (American) wife is already seriously unimpressed at the restriction we are currently under...
    TIA
    Nic

    I believe so.
You can only sync a single iTunes library to AppleTV.
Remember that changing the sync library setting will wipe AppleTV clean, and probably remove any direct downloads/purchases made on AppleTV so make sure such things are backed up to iTunes and/or external drive.
You remove the existing one by removing it from Settings>Computers (it'll be the top entry), then pairing with iTunes set up for the US again.
You may not need to do that if you just login with your US store credentials in iTunes and resync, but I'm not certain as AppleTV can only handle a single iTunes Store user account for protected material (I believe you can enter credentials for more than one account in iTunes itself but this does not work with AppleTV from memory).
You'd need to enter US account credentials in AppleTV direct also if you wanted to purchase from it directly.
It might be worth you creating a new user account for your US iTunes account so as not to interfere with the one you have.
Logged in to that account you could then purchase from US Store, set the account up as the sync library and sync to AppleTV - however this user would need to be logged in to sync or stream material (that isn't synced).
Most important thing is to remember to ensure you have your files backed up if you start changing AppleTV sync library settings as it wipes to give a clean slate for the new library.

  • Change country for apple id

How do I change the country associated with my AppleID ?

If you need to update your country and billing address on your account then you should be able to do it directly on your phone by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then tapping on 'view apple id' on the popup - you should then be able to update your payment method (you can't use a credit card issued by a bank in a different country), your region, and your billing address.
Or you can do it via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes

  • Changing Country for Payments & Billing and Shipping Info

Hi, New to this so please go easy on me.
I am trying to add my payment details, Billing and shipping address etc but I cannot, I live in the UK and it is defaulting to a presumed USA address system and will not let me save my details because of it.
How do I change the country so I can start purchasing music?
Many thanks for your help in advance.
    Paul

Scroll down to the bottom and see if there is a flag. Click on it (even if it is the UK flag) and select the appropriate country.

  • Change country ITunes store

I want to download music from the US iTunes store, but my profile only allows me to buy from the AUS store. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to purchase from a different country store. Thanks

Tap Settings > General > International > Region Format
Be aware, your credit or debit card credentials must be associated with the same country where you reside.
"Although you can browse the iTunes Store in any country without being signed in, you can only purchase content from the iTunes Store for your own country. This is enforced via the billing address associated with your credit card or other payment method that you use with the iTunes Store, rather than your actual geographic location."

  • Change country for ePrintCenter

I purchased a new HP Printer and set up a new ePrintCenter account using my old Snapfish username / pw.
It now has my location as the UK (I was living there when I created my Snapfish account)
When I go to the "choose your location" setting at the very bottom of the ePrintCenter page, it does not list the US as a valid selction.   I've looked under Settings, but nothing there either.    The country/region are correct on my printer.    My Snapfish account is also now set the US.
Any suggestions on how to change my location to the US?    There are a few apps I would like to use, but they are not valid for the US.
    This question was solved.

    Hello ljlacy,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand you are looking to set your ePrintCenter to US, however it is not listing the US as a choice. This is because, in the US ePrintCenter as been changed to HP Connected.
In order for you to access these Apps you want to use a HP Connected account needs to be made, or you can upgrade your ePrintCenter account to HP Connected.
Here is some information regarding HP Connected: Migrating from HP ePrintCenter to HP Connected FAQs. Go to  https://www.hpconnected.com and create an account to start using the Apps.
