Change credentials for connect to server app

I checked "remember password" while connecting to another PC. It could not because permission was not there for that credentials. Now i want to try with another credential but how to do it?? Its automatically trying with the remembered credentials.

This did not solve my problem. I had tried this before, it seems so that the (remote) Server app has no right to connect at all.
Just to let you know: I enabled Remote Apple Events, Remote Login and Remote Management on Server. And I run and addminister the server via Apple Remote Desktop.
Also the "Allow remote administration using Server" on the server App is set.
Still, nothing solves this problem.

  • SSO is not working - User is missing credentials for connecting to alias

    Dear Experts,
I am facing a strange problem in SSO with reference system user mapping.  I have configured reference system user mapping for accessing R/3 for ESS/MSS and transactional iviews along with UWL.  The SSO was configured 2 months ago and was working fine till yesterday.
Since this Monday, (2 days), the system connection tests are failing on connector.  But, ESS/MSS & Transaction iviews with SAP Logon tickets are working fine. But, while trying to access UWL tasks, SSO is failing. Following is the error message -
    "Exception occured Exception type:com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl.connect.ConnectorException Message:Tue Aug 11 09:46:58 CEST 2009
(Connector) :com.sap.portal.connectivity.destinations.PortalDestinationsServiceException:User is missing credentials for connecting to alias <Aliassystem>. Contact your system administrator. "
I have created a destination for the respective backend in Visual Admin > node >  services > Destinations as some tasks are not visible in UWL as per Note-  1133821, 2 weeks ago.It was working fine till yestreday. While testing from destinations, for Connected User(SAP Logon ticket Assertion ticket) , getting the error message  -
Error During ping operation:Ticket contain no/an  emplty ABAP user id(refer note 1159962). The destination is successfully connected with configured user.
But from the Tracecollector logs, I can see that the mapped user is set in the SAP Logon ticket and the User <ABCD> is existing in the target ECC system. More over, the SSO with refence system user mapping is working fine for ESS/MSS and Transaction based iviews. It is failing only for UWL tasks and also in system connection tests for connector. ITS was failing since the beginning.WAS is successful even now.
    Trace file info -
Mapped user [ABCD] set in SAP Logon Ticket. The authenticated user is [<portaluserid>]. Authentication stack: [ticket]..
    The created ticket is:
    [Ticket [initialized]
      Ticket Version  = 0
      Ticket Codepage =  (Encoding=1100)
      User = <ABCD>
      Issuing System ID    = EPD
      Issuing System Client = 000
      Creation Time = 200908110746
      Valid Time    = 8 h 0 min
      Signature (length=261 bytes)
I checked tcode SSO2 in ECC system and it is ready for accepting the logon tickets.  The strange thing is single sign on is working for ESS/Transactional iviews and not for UWL. Second thing is UWL was working fine till yesterday morning and stopped working now with SSO problems.
Can you pls advise where to look for fixing the SSO - missing user details for UWL destination?
    regards,
    Isvarya

Do you get any additional information in your app log?If so, can you post the message. We run on UNIX (solaris) here and ran into an issue with host-name resolution that turned out to be hostname cache problem. I don't know if you have similar on AIX.

  • Firefox keeps requesting logon credentials for the proxy server, though they are eneterd in the connection settings.

Every time you go to a new page, Firefox prompts for the proxy server login credentials, this has already been entered in the Network settings in Firefox.

    Hi thefrostycat,
It could also be the proxy set up on the network. There is an app for proxy settings: [https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lechucksoftware.proxy.proxysettings on the play store] as well as an add on [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/proxy-selector/?src=search Proxy Selector]

  • Credentialling for Connection Pools

I've been looking at different documents on dev2dev, but being new to the
security I'm not sure what I'm looking at. That's at least simple humble
    way to say it.
Is it possible to configure WebLogic (8.1) server to use external
    credentials for a connection pool?
    Thanks,
    Michael

probably not your problem, but groupnames and usernames should
be unique in weblogic, so if you happen to have a user with the
same name as the group you are trying to use, it would confuse
    the server.
but, like I said, probably not your problem.

I got the same problem as yours when I am working with
    WLS 5.1:
I have a connection pool set up in the weblogic.properties

RDBMSRealm. And there is an acl entry in the database

certain group has 'reserve' right to the connection pool.
Then when one user which in fact belongs to that group

he is able to use the connection pool. All seems that

    anybody have any idea?
    Thanks,

  • Changing directory of website via Server app on OS X 10.9.2

Using Server App on OS X 10.9.2 to configure several websites, I changed the folder for one of the websites and restarted Apache. The problem is that the website still loads the old directory. Any suggestions?

  • Change Port on "Connect to Server"

Basically in a nutshell, I can' connect to my server no problem, and login, but all my files have the permission set to "read-only".
I contacted my server host and they told me to login through the "Connect to Server" diolog box using the credentials of the root user. That did not work. I went back and told them that and they told me it may be an issue of it trying to connect on Port 22, rather then Port 21 and to come to the Apple forums and ask how to fix that. They unfortunately only provide support for windows related questions.
So here I am... anyone have any ideas?

This is how I am connecting.

When I do that, it works. But all the files are only read-only.
I am in talks with my server admin right now, he has some sgguestions. I will keep this post updated.

  • Can't change password for SMTP outgoing server.

I changed my password on the server via a different method, now I need to change the password Thunderbird uses to send messages to that new password. No matter what I do, I can't seem to get Thunderbird to ask for the password again, it just keeps using the old saved password. How do I get Thunderbird to prompt me for the new password?
Oh, and this is Thunderbird 24.6.0, on Windows 7.

I have just spent several hours wrestling with the same problem.
Why the Thunderbird path ''Tools>Options>Security>Passwords>Saved Passwords'' does not casually mention that to change server provider passwords,''' simply''':
''''Remove ALL the saved password for that account. They might be there more than once. Once for inbound and another for outbound. Remove them both. Close and restart Thunderbird. It should ask you for a password the next time one is required.' '''
confounds Mozilla's usually excellent signposting, IMHO

  • JDBC Url for connecting SQL Server Alias name

    Hi All,
I am having a SqlServer Databse Instance for that we have created "alias name".
i am unable to connect to that particular alias name.
please can any one though light on this plz.
    Edited by: mahesh512 on Jun 17, 2009 6:48 PM

If i am geussing right, you mean that you have created a TNS Name for your Database Server.
If you are accessing it from your DB Client via the TNS name, maybe the CLient is configured to contact a TNS Server to retrieve the IP if the server.
Your JDBC Driver does not do that. Either use the IP of the DB Server or provide a Source for the Driver to look up the IP via the TNS Name.
How this is accomplished deplends on your Database.

  • Cannot connect via Server app

Decided to install the Lion Server on this iMac 27" quad-core i7 with 8GB RAM. Downloaded it from the MAS, Read the Getting Started documentation, then opened the Server app. Selected "this mac" and entered my admin name and password. Server app refused them.
Is there a special admin name and password that I should be using? Where would I find them?
Or is there some other issue that is preventing me from connecting? I can't find anything in the documentation.
    Thanks!

Same here. I upgraded to lion server on day one and all was well. Logged in and out via server admin from the server itself and another machine with no problem. naturally I downloaded the new server admin app as well.
On day two I tried to login in and got a could not connect condition from the non-server machine when I tried to connect to it. So I logged into the server directly with to OS admin account and launched Server from there. At this point you are prompted to connect to "this" server or another. I chose the server I was on and got the password shudder trying to get into server admin.
No possibility of forgetting the password, it's the same one I use to log into the OS.
Could not get into it with the other admin account I had setup either.
    Something is very wrong here.

  • Connect to Server App from other system

I have a clean install of OSX 10.8.2 with Server from Appstore. So far all is fine when running the server.app thru Remote Desktop Software. However, when trying to connect to the server.app from another System ( i use OSX 10.8.2 on both machines, updated the software also) then the system refuses to login. The Admin name and password are fine, they also work if just connecting via finder or when using thru Remote Desktop.
I am turning cracy because I have tried just about everything. I was reading about this problem existing under OSX Lion, but the fix recommended does not help at all.
Can anyone help - please? I hope the guys at Apple start looking into this as well.

    Reinhard

  • Is there any API for connecting web server and iphone apps

    Hi,
I have to retrieve data from Web Server and display in my iphone apps. I want to know that is there any API through which i can connect my apps to server and get data.
One way i know that use NSURLConnection and get XML response and prase it and use it like that.
    So anyone know this?
    Thanks.

NSURLConnection is straightforward to use. In the mobile world, and especially if you intend to use certain google APIs, I would rather tend to use JSON instead of XML. A great JSON parser for objective-c is here: http://code.google.com/p/json-framework/

  • How do i change jdk for iplanet Application server

    Hi,
For both Solaris and Windows platform the following steps can be done to change the JDK version.
    - Go to <ias_install_directory>/ias/usr/java. This is the place where the JDK is installed and used by iAS. Rename the directory java to some other name, say old_ias_java and create a directory java under <ias_install_directory>/ias/usr.
    - You can replace the contents of this directory with any of the installed JDK directory. For example in Windows environment, if you have JDK 1.3.1 installed, then copy all the contents from C:\Jdk1.3.1_03 to the <ias_install_directory>/ias/usr/java
Please let me know if this helps.
<B>Although changing JDK is possible with iAS, I would strongly recomend you not to change since iAS is designed to work with the JDK that is bundled</B>
