Change Customizing Table in Production System

Dear All,
At my current customer we are in an implementation wave and I realised that some settings are not in the transport requests. I am sure about it. But somehow someone has changed the customizing table settings in Production System!
I know SCC4 and the option how to allow to customize some Table for changing but now this is not the case.
Is there any other way to change the entries in the customizing table? must be...
Thank you in advance,
Regards,
Zsolt
Please, also inform me if this is not the correct forum to raise this topic (and suggest one that is)

Dear Maen,
Thanks a lot. This program has solved my question. He did the changes in SE16N and I guess with &SAP_EDIT because the table is not editable after execute it in SE16N.
Thanks again,
Have a nice day.
Thanks for the other comments, were also useful (points also assigned)

Zsolt

  • Support message and change requests only for production system

    Hi guys,
I would like to connect the solman helpesk with CHARM ( CHARM is still running ).
In CHARM I have to create a CR only for production system. ( don't know why - but works as designed).
In SAP helpdesk I can create support messages for every kind of system type but if I want to connect both (HD and CR) , the source system (ibase component) of the issue will copied to the CR and runs in error because of the rule (only p-system) of CHARM.
Of course I can change the ibase to production system manually in SDCR but it seems a very error-prone method.
Now my question: is it possible to change the ibase component due to the creation of CR by copy rule or something like this?
    Kind regards
    Rayko

    Hi Rayko,
We do not have this option.
Once in ChaRM, we assume that the changes will always correct an issue in the PROD system.
I would recommend to open the tickets directly with the PROD system IBase, once the issue is also happening there.
    Best Regards,

  • Process Order tables and Production System Performance

    Hi All,
What are the different tables of Process order? Also how do i know which table affects the system performance of Production system and to what extent if Change Logging is made active ?
The issue is in our clients place we would like to set the Change Logging ( Records changes made for any transaction )  for Process orders and we would like to know to which tables change logging should be made active so that Production system performance is not affected.
    Please help me regarding this.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Neetha Avani.

All the changes done in any transaction are saved in CDPOS table.
when there is any report developed based on this table then the performance will be very slow.
Tables used for process orders are
AFKO            Order header data PP orders
    AFPO            Order item
    AFRU            Order Confirmations
    AFRUHR        Order Confirmations for HR
    AFRV             Confirmation pool
    AFVC             Operation within an order
    Hope the above helps.

  • How to edit customizing view in production system?

    Hi,
I wonder if it is possible to edit customizing view (ex: tcode OAV8) directly in production system. I need a method that doesn't require repair.
    Any help will be appreciated..

    Hey
You can copy view V_T087G to ZV_T087G. After you have to create a new table maintenance for this view. The new table mainteance will have a Z function module so you can select in the "Dialog Data Transport Details" the flag "no user recording routine" instead of "Standard, recording routine".
After you have to call this table maintenance from Sm30 or from a transaction.

  • Customizing open in production system for tcode KOT2

    Hi gurus!
    I have a problems with tcode KOt2
The problem is that the modifications are aviable also in production system, and you can change it in production system.
How can i put it again just  with the seeing mode? I want to modify it just in test system.
    Thanks

    Hello Nereab
Transaction KOT2/_OPA is a so-called 'current setting' in SOBJ, the settings in
SCC4 do not influence this. This is the reason why the transaction can
be called in 'change' mode in your system; the philosophy concerning
this has changed since release 4.0B (where it was not a 'current
    setting').
If you want to prevent changes for this transaction, you have to follow
the information given in note 420909 accordingly.

  • Introduction of additional customer fields in productive system

    Dear experts,
in the SAP help and OSS-notes (SAP Note 891144) it is strongly recommended NOT to introduce additonal customer fields for the new General Ledger Accounting in already productive systems. I would like to know if this because of technical  reasons , e.g. field creation or assignment is technically not possible because transaction data is already in the system, or because of  the problemsfor the reporting when the fields are not correctly filled .
    Thanks a lot.

    Hello,
In my opinion, the purpose of this OSS note 891144 is to inform about the risk when you Define Document Splitting Characteristics for General Ledger. In that customizing point, the 2 fields zero balance and mandatory field must be ticked in order to avoid any consistancies related mainly to document posting without profit center, Bus Area or Segment ...
If document splitting is activated, means document must be posted with profit center (or Bus Area or Segment if they are activated) information in order to have correct info and correct reports
But please contact SAP directly if you have problems regarding this

  • Change/display customizing tables via IMG only - SM31

    Hi Experts,
I've posted this message previously in another forum area on SDN. In the absence of a response, I've posted it here, hoping that this is a more appropriate area.
We are attempting to maintain table LRF_WKQU through SM31 in our QA system.
    The following message appears:
Change/display customizing tables via IMG only
    Message no. SV000
I've also noticed that a number of other tables show the same response.
We are able to perform maintenance of this table in our Production system via SM31.
I've checked the table properties, and they are the same on both systems.
Does anyone know if there is a system setting or such like, that will allow for maintenance of tables via SM31 and not the IMG?
    Thanks,
    Chris

Why do you want to change customizing tables outside the IMG. In the case of this table LRF_WKQU you mention there are a few more tables which might also be updated  when you use the IMG. Without IMG the risk is very big on inconsitencies.
The other tables being updated through IMG (for table LRF_WKQU) are
    T346
    T346T
    T346L
Whe you use SM31 (or SM30), these tabels will not be updated. This does not have to cause a problem, but I think for that reason (because it MIGHT cause a problem). SAP shows you this message.

  • BCS - master data change in productive system?

    Hi group,
We are about to go live with our BCS system, but of course someone got the great idea of changing the company code currency for one of the "non-SAP" companies in the group since the sytem was set up.
When I enter the consolidatin workbench in our production system, everything is considered customizing, so no changes are allowed - even to master data. I''ve searched the "Object changeability" settings of the BW system but couldn't find any settings regarding BCS. I also checked settings in se06 and found a namespace "/FINB/" which I suspect has something to do with BCS (currently set to "Not modifiable")?
What are the correct system settings for the BCS system to function correctly, and what is the normal procedure for maintaining master data in SEM-BCS? - by transport requests or by changing directly in the productive system?
    Best regards
    Thomas
P.S.: Are there any usefull resources for BCS on the Internet? The help in the system is very limited and I can't find anything on the SAP marketplace.

    Hi Dan,
Example: you have a single selection containing a set (not range) of separate values. Then you decided to change the set (adding one more value, for example). Are you saying that this single selection change in DEV will be reflected automatically in PROD?
From my experience I know that while using single selections, the system replaces it by the set/range/node. And when a single selection was changed, nothing yet happened with elimination settings using SS. You have to go into each part of the settings in the method and refresh the SS. You'll see that only after that the set of values was changed. It's obvious for me that if I don't do this refreshing in DEV and then import the request into PROD, I'll have the old, not modified, version of my settings.

  • Hack release strategy customizing on production system?

    Hello Gurus,
I have a problem - I made a mistake in release strategy customizing for purchase requisitions and now I need to repair it (the change is possible only on development system, but our development system is now under upgrade process and no development customizing is possible for one month).
So I need change the release strategy customizing directly on production system. Please, is there some possibility (some hack or whatever) to change it on production system ?
    Thank you,

In SPRO Materials Management / Purchasing / Purchase Requisition / Release Procedure / Set Up Procedure Without Classification / Assign Release Indicators
For one strategy there is entered 4th level, which is redundant. I need to edit line which sets in 3rd level blocked state (it should be set for Purchase Order) and then I need to delete the line in 4th level which mistakenly sets Purchase order (actually there shloud be no 4th level entered for this strategy).

  • How to change the worklist in schedule manager in production system

we are using schedule manager (SCMA) to arrange the daily process in SAP system. but we have to config the worklist and transport it to the production system every time cause in production system if we press edit worklist there would be a message called " TK430 The system administrator has set your logon client to the 'not modifiable' status.Client-specific objects can not be changed in this client."
Is there any way that I can directly change the worklist in production system?

  • Changing Configuration Table to user maintenance table

    Hi SDN team,
I recall that there was an OSS note that described the procedure to change a table in configuration to a user maintenance table.  We have a scenario where the purchasing group table is maintained via IMG and the business process wants to maintain this as a master data table.  Can anyone either walk me through the process of setting this up or point me to the OSS note that references this functionality?
    Thank you.
    Nguyen

Communicate your approach and dont forget the newbie who may join your company in future  !!!
if one is not aware that you maintain customizing tables in production, and does customizing as usual in developement system and transports the changes, then he may create a lot problems.
It happened to me personally. I was not aware that purchasing groups had to be maintained in production system as I joined a new company. (But still the request for a new purchasing group is send to IT) . so I just took the free  next number in dev-system and transported to production.  And here I overwrote an entry that was only present in production.........

  • How to enter data in a custom-table

    Hi All,
I created a custom-table in sapCRM system. There won't be a place to enter records on the screens. So how can the users enter new records into the table? Is there any other way they can do that.
    Regards,
    Ranjan

    Hi,
In SE11, on "Delivery and Maintenance" tab, make sure your table is "Display/Maintenance Allowed". There could be other settings too, but i know only this one.
Then, once you inside the table, hit F5 or in the upper tool menu, choose "Table Entry-> Create".
    Populate mandatory fields and save.
We have done the same in few projects, but only in the Development environment.
There could be other security settings you need to do, since you will be creating entries in Production.

  • How do we secure a custom table?

    Hi
How do we secure a custom table, custom program and a custom transaction code? What are the alternative  ?
    thank You

    Hello Subash
Usually I define customer tables as "application data" table in the attributes. However. If you have very sensitive data in your customer table then you could set it as "customizing" table. In this case the same security measures that are valid for standard tables (e.g. no customizing allowed in production systems) will be valid for your table, too.

  • Changing workbook header   in QA system

    hi all,
if i can change my workbook header  in QA sytem rather going to dev sys and retransporting again.
Changes to workbook are effective or not.
    regards,
    veera

    hi Veera,
yes you can change your workbook header in your qa system, beside sufficient authorization as mentioned by Deepu, you may need to open the changeability of workbooks in qa system, you can do this with rsa1->transport connection->there is icon truck with 'object changeability' in right top, click it and in next screen go to last row, object type 'XLWB' - workbook, by double clicking the 'not changeable' or 'changeable original' it will switch between changeable and not.
talking effective or not, in some cases, it's a normal practice to create/change workbook in qa/production system, please be remind that when you transport from dev it will be replaced again with the dev header.
    hope this helps.

  • How to Enhance SPRO so that Config can be maintained in Production System

I have a requirement to Enhance the configuration nodes within SPRO so that the Client can directly edit specific configurations that would pose a risk to the business if they have to wait for the production release.
I have to enhance the following Node :
u2022     Advanced Planning & Optimization --> Supply Chain Planning --> Service Parts Planning (SPP) --> Monitoring --> Shortage Analysis -->Make General Settings for Shortage Analysis
u2022     Supply Network Collaboration --> Basic Settings --> Notes --> Define Reason Codes for Notes
The check box for "Current Setting" is input disabled for the above nodes in SPRO.
Please let me know if there is a SAP Note available to Enable "Current Settings" which will allow the Client to maintain settings directly in Production System.
If not , Please suggest any alternative solutions.
