Change date format in EP when introduce values with "/" as date separator
Hi experts,
We have ECC 6 EHP3 with Enterprise Portal 7 SP 18. We instal BP_ERP5ESS
1.31 SP 4.0, BP_ERP5COM 1.31 SP 4.0, BP_ERP5MSS 1.31 SP 4.0, SAP_ESS
603 SP 4.12 and SAPPCUI_GP 603 SP 4.1
We activate the Travel Management (FIN_TRAVEL_1) business function, so
we use WD ABAP for travel expenses.
The issue is when in the Portal, go to Travel and Expenses and create a
new travel request or a new expense report and introduce the values of
the date with "/" as separator. The system changes the date format, and
change the days for months and months for days, DD/MM/YYYY change to
MM/DD/YYYY. For example if we introduce 31/12/2009, the system change
to 12/31/2009 and gives an error.
If we introduce with "." as separator, 31.12.2009, it works fine, don´t change days for months, so it seems that is not a problem of language settings.
Any idea?

log in by the Super Super give the user name ...........and check the details..........
in there in the 1st ..view you can set the date formate..............

How do change file format for videos to be compatible with iDVD?
My husband's uncle sent us several short files of video he took with his camera or cell phone, and I really want to burn them onto a DVD using iDVD. When I drag one of the files into the program, however, it says "your last action is not supported by iDVD." All the other videos in my iPhoto works, so I'm guessing it's the wrong type of file. Does anyone know how to change to file type so it's iDVD compatible? Right now the files are ".MOV." The one I have that are ".AVI" seem to work just fine. Any insight is appreciated!!

Can't change date format in Pages
Normally you should be able to rightclick and select "Change date & time...", or doubbleclick on a inserted date to change its format.
I have 2 Macs with Lion 10.7.2 and Pages where nothing happens everything is up to date. Language is Danish.
Tried deleting the pages prefs.
Complete delete, reinstall and upgrade of iWorks to 9.1 (Pages 4.1 (923))
Nothing helps.
In addition Pages hangs on exit after trying to "Change date & time..." a few times.
Any clues?Hi! I can reproduce the problems when setting my Pages to Danish with the application Language switcher. I think we've had a discussion about this in this forum before.
Using "date time danish" I find 5 threads about the same issue. It is a bug in the Danish localisation language. -
Problem changing address format
I live in Japan, and therefore have lots of Japanese addresses. When I imported these addresses into Address book, it automatically put them in 'Japan' address format (although I have UK format specified in the preferences). Japan format is more or less the opposite of UK or USA format, with post code and city first, and street address last.
However, Japan format is only used if the address is in Japanese script. Otherwise the addresses are written in UK format. Therefore, I set about changing the formats. However, when I change the format, Address Book automatically puts the words 'United Kingdom' in the country field. I then have to change it to 'Japan'. As I have about a thousand addresses, this is pretty infuriating.
Is there anyway to change this behaviour, so that the country is not automatically inserted?Unfortunately you may have to clear out the country field before changing the format.

Possible to change date format when importing files into Aperture 3
Just wondering if it is possible to change the format of the date from YYYY-MM-DD to YYYYMMDD when you rename files as they are imported into Aperture 3? I typically rename my files and insert my initials, date the photo was taken, sequence number, camera used and original file name. When I do this in Aperture 3, the date format used includes dashes. I would like to have the file renamed without the dashes in the date. Is this possible?
You should be able to edit the format in the import presets. I have done this for folder stucture of imports, I believe you can do the same for the file renaming. At the bottom of the drop down box for file naming at improt should be an edit option which brings up the import naming presets, select the "YYYY-MM-DD" and remove the dashes.

I need to store a date into a flexfield. We have enabled the Flexfield and there is NO value set attached to it.
This attribute is already in the VO as a varchar, so we have just added a new column into the page as data type Date and link it to the flexfield column.
In this page we have a table layout so the user can enter 10 rows before saving them. And this page it just used to punch data into a table, which means, once the user press apply the page saves and clears. The user can not query on that page.
When entering the first row, we can open the Date picker and we can choose the date and then it populates the column as “DD-MON-YYYY”.
The problem is:
When we entering the second row after entering one column the pages changes the format of my date from the previous record to “YYYY-MM-DD”, then after entering any second column the pages clear the date from the previous row.
Running the page from JDev it shows the following message before clears the flexfield:
java.text.ParseException: 2011-01-28
Note we have not extended the VO and not extended the controller.
My questions are:
1) Why the Self-Service is change the date format to YYYY-MM-DD even if the profile ICX: Date Format Mask (31-DEC-1999) and my preference is set to DD-MON-YYYY?
2) How can I avoid this to happen? Is there any way to keep my date as DD-MON-YYYY?

I'm using Sql Developer vers. 1.1.2. for Oracle 8.1.7 and I can't change Data Format. Even if first I run "alter session set nls_date_format = 'DD/MM/YYYY';" and after I run "select data_field from table;" in the SQL Worksheet, it goes on reporting the field in format "MM/DD/YYYY HH:MI:SS". It seems to me as if the "alter session" doesn't work.
I've got a problem with decimal separator too. I mean when I run "select salary_field from table;" and the item is for example 2300,32 the report gets null column even if I've set Decimal Separator to "," from Tools>NSL Parameters>Decimal Separator.
I need help.

It isn't really a great help, as you need to access 8.1.7, but the current version doesn't have this problem - it uses the current NLS_DATE_FORMAT setting to format the date, regardless of the NLS preferences.
I have vague memories (1.1.2 has largely faded from my memory) that when they first introduced the NLS preferences that they took precedence over the DB NLS settings (ie date formatted in SQL Developer based on NLS preferences).
On the decimal separator, I have other vague memories of problems if you didn't set both the Decimal and Group separator, although a quick search on the forum didn't highlight something that seemed the same as your problem. After logging on (ie with the NLS preferences as the DB NLS settings), what do you get if you the NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS parameter in the NLS_SESSION_PARAMETERS view? This should have two characters - the first one being the decimal separator and the second being the group separator.

is it possible to do this all in one statement?Actually you code does not convert that string to a string of "yyyy/mm/dd", it converts the value to a DATE. Your display must be changing it to that format. Do not confuse the display format with the storage format.

Change date column format in Microsoft Access db?

I'm completely new to Java so I'm unsure how easy\hard this my question is...
A Java application I'm working on creates an Access mdb (through some 3rd party API's) in that mdb there are some columns of type date with values of date-time. The user does not want to see the time when they create reports in Access.
So two solutions would be to either (a) set the column format to Medium Date or (b) truncate the values in the row.
Method (b) should be much quicker since it is not altering any values...but is this possible to do in Java? I'm not sure even where to start.
Also I tried method (b) using sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver but have had some issues (just not updating values)...not sure what the cause is so I'll continue to bang away at that (unless someone has some sample code that would be great also).

FrankYou should not change this format. The default date format complies with the "common log format" which is readable by many log analysis tools.
That said, if you still want to change the date format, you can replace %SYSDATE% with %LOCALEDATE% in your flex-init line. LOCALEDATE will cause the WS to use the date format set by your OS. -

How can I change the display format of a date?
When the field is displayed as a DateField the data format is good, but can I change the format? The problem with a DateField is also that the field can be updated and that shouldn't be possible.
When the field is displayed as a DisplayField the format looks worse. It looks like it's doing a toString from a Data variable.
Could someone tell me what is the best way to Display a Date from the database? The users shouldn't be allowed to change the value.

END;If you pass in 1 as a parameter, it is going to execute because the statement that it is building is:
select * from TEST123 where Empid is NOT NULL and -1 = 1Although the syntax is valid -1 will never equal 1 so you will never get any data.
If you pass in 1,2 as a parameter then it is basically building the following:
select * from TEST123 where Empid is NOT NULL and -1 = 1,2This will cause an invalid number because it is trying to check where -1 = 1,2
You could always change your code to:

I purchased songs from Itunes store and I would like to record a CD to my parents with specific songs but when introduce the cd a message appears that the songs are not in MP3 format, how could I convert them?

In itunes...preferences you can change the setting to import songs instead of mp4 to mp3. Afer changing this setting, right click to the songs and than you are able to convert to mp3. ths's it
