Change DB storage parameter of existing info providers

Hello,
for better database monitoring reasons, it seems to be quite helpful to use the option change DB storage parameters for several infoproviders (some DSOs and Cubes) in the menu.
Now I found out, that it is only possible to use this option while creating new infoproviders. Is there also an option to change DB storage parameters of existing infoproviders?
With SE13 it is possible to change these parameters for the used tables e.g. active data of the DSO etc. But for me it that there might be a problem to change settings of generated tables.
Is there any other way to change the db storage parameters?

Do u have data in the DSO?
You can change DB Storage and other settings only when the DSO is empty
Please check
Empty out your DSO and change the settings

After reading you answer I was searching for option to refresh variable. There I landed at the option where it says "Change variable values". After clicking it, just beside the variable entry box is a button (extreme right). If you click that you get another popup where you can reset the personalization.

I don't think that we need to some extra settings at cube , if want to go with Acceletor.
I am not able give good info on it,because I have not yet worked on it. But if you spend some time to go through all the mentioed links,Definately You would not have any doubts on it.

If you donot have chance to use acceletors, then I suggest you think about Data marts (no of cubes with same structures and with ssame datasource) which holds physically have different range of data.And then use a Multi provider upon it.
And also use Cache methodology for the reports built on these cubes.And use precalculattion to heat up the cache.

How to change the storage location using BAPI_OUTB_DELIVERY_CHANGE

Hi !
I want to do batch split in the delivery using BAPI_OUTB_DELIVERY_CHANGE.
Can anyone tell me how to pass/change the storage location of each batch item.
Is there any other BAPI that can do the batch split and populate the storage location also for the split batches?

BAPI_OUTB_DELIVERY_CHANGE can be used to do batch split and updating storage loaction against each item of an outbond delivey.
I have done that in the folllowing way:
1 > Firstly i have updated the storage location for each delivery item using 'BAPI_OUTB_DELIVERY_CHANGE' passing some mininal parameters.
   Fetch the item details from LIPS table based on the outbound delivery and pass the corresponding fields to item_data, item_control and item_data_spl parameters and passed into intenal table li_lips.
Loop at li_lips inti lw_lips.
    lw_item_data-deliv_numb           = lw_lips-vbeln.
    lw_item_data-deliv_item             = lw_lips-posnr.
    lw_item_data-material                = lw_lips-matnr.

2> Then i have used the same BAPI again 'BAPI_OUTB_DELIVERY_CHANGE' to do the batch split/update batch only(if required) and change the Actual Delivered Quantity.
Here you have to pass the same thing along with actual delivery qauntity and different batches to do batch split.
Here it is assumed that Batch numbers, actual delivered quantity are coming from an internal table i_lqua.
Looping through Internal table to get Bin details

We are starting from the beginning like its a new ipod starts out asking language, country,location services,choose a network,and when we get to "setup ipod touch " there are 3 options 1..setup as new ipod, 2.restore from ipod backup 3 restore from itunes backup and when we hit setup as new ipod and click next it comes up with sign in with apple id or create a free apple id we clicked create a free apple id....then comes up with bday,1st name last name, use your current email address, get a free icloud email address or change email address and THIS is where we have problems....if we hit change email address it means that sis's stuff goes under his name and moves all her stuff to this older ipod which the brother does not want. sorry this is so long but its the only way I knew to do it.

Thanks. My table has 5000 extents each of which is 64k, so I
think I need to do table defragmentation to improve performance.
If I use alter table table_name move without storage parameter
and tablespace name, I will relocate this table in current
tablespace and adopt the current tablespace's storage parameter
as my table's new storage paramater which is still 64k. After
that, if I issue alter
table table_name storage (initial 50M next=50M) command, will it
change this table's storage parameter and decrease the totoal
extents number? I ask this question because I use OEM2.2 tuning
pack reorg wizard to generate the job script to do table
defragmentation, but in the job script there is no new storage
parameter. It only generate alter table table_name move
statement, so I wonder if I don't need to modify this job scripts
and after it executes this job script, I issue alter table
table_name storage parameter command manaully. Will this solve
my problem or I must modify the job script and add new storage
parameter in the job script?

How to change messaging storage on N97

The N97's messaging app has a setting (under 'Other') to change the messaging storage (default Chone Memory).
I set that to 'E: Mass STorage' but then messaging ended up showing only 'memory full. cancel some other programs' messages (but E: of course has > 17GB free!
When i switched back to C: all started working again and messages there are visible again.
So how do I change the storage messaging uses to E: ?
I also want to copy (better: move) all the messageing folders from C: to E: to free up more phone memory.
Any help is appreciated

I'm not sure if this will help or not - but as far as I could find there was no way to move the actual messages from C to E, other than perhaps backup from C then restore to E - which I didn't need to try to do.
In my case I set my Messages to E right from the start, but when I later connected my phone to PC Suite in Media Transfer mode, it reset my Messages location to C. I thought I'd lost all my messsages, They reappeared when I realised the setting had changed, and I changed it back to E. The system hadn't copied my messages from E to C, just created another message store on C (which I later deleted).
So I don't believe setting your Message store location to E will also copy your existing messages from C to E.
To free your C space, I would backup your messages, then delete your C drive mailbox (there is a thread on the popular threads link on the front page), then restore your messages to E.
Again, I have not actually done the backup and restore, but I am of the opinion it would be the only way to move the messages.
Perhaps someone else may have a better idea - this is just one I am throwing out there as a possibility.

PSAPTEMP default storage (Parameter settings)

I am trying to increase INITIAL and NEXT values for default setting of PSAPTEMP. Using sapdba version 9, under Tablespace, when I select the INITIAL and change value, the value gets reset to default 1024K. How can I extend these values. Do I need to drop and recreate or can I do it online.

Dear Jeet,
first of all: don't use sapdba anymore.
It's not developed anymore and the recommendated tool is now br*tools.

Concerning your question:
When you've got a locally managed temp. tablespace (as it is recommended) then the INITIAL and NEXT values should be identical and the allocation type for the tablespace should be UNIFORM.
The exact value for this parmeters depends on the sort_area-size used in the database.
The formula looks like this:
( N * sort_area_size ) + 2 * db_block_size
db_block_size is 8K in SAP systems and the N depends on the size of your PSAPTEMP (tempsize):
N = 1 : tempsize <= 2 GB
N = 3 : 2 GB < tempsize <= 6 GB
N = 5 : 6 GB < tempsize <= 10 GB
N = 10 : 10 GB < tempsize

Is there a way to retrieve the lob column's initial and next storage parameter through jdbc?
I need to replicate a table in one database to another database and with tables containing lobs(clobs,blobs),

1) Due to tax reasons, it's not possible to change the country associated with an existing Adobe ID.
Follow the steps mentioned in the below link as a workaround to create an Adobe ID with the email address you currently use for the existing Adobe ID.

Change a string parameter for different session

Hi Gurus,
I would like to find out how can I change a string parameter for an existing different session?
In DBMS_SYSTEM package there are two functions :
- SET_INT_PARAM_IN_SESSION
- SET_BOOL_PARAM_IN_SESSION
which change values of parameters, but not string ones :(
Is it possible and if not, is there an alternative for changing STATISTICS_LEVEL for different session to ALL?

Once again I will repeat if I was not clear before: You cannot to do this. Just directly using ALTER SESSION against the session.
* SET_INT_PARAM_IN_SESSION: Sets[u] integer-type init.ora parameters in any session

How to create a report to bring all data from two different Info providers

I have a peculier problem while creating a report. I have two custom info providers one DSO and another Cube. There are only two common fields between these two Info providers . I need to create a report such that the report displays all the values from DSO but user can have the selection option on one of the fields in the Cube.
Here is an example
DSO Contents:
DocNum-     DocItem-     DocText-     Amount-      Quantity
10000----     10----            ABC----          100----           10
10001----     20----     DSN----     200----     10
10005----     20----     DSN----     200----     10
Z1003----     10----     CAN----     500----     1
Cube Contents

The report needs to be displayed as shown below when the user selects value for date from 1/10/2009 to 2/20/2009

I hope this was clear for you to understand. I would really appricate if any one can answers about how to resolve this problem. I cannot add the date filed to DSO and I also have Doc Num and Item as the user selection fields in the report.

Hi chinna,
Two possible options, I can think of now, but both of them may be a compromise with performance.
1. create an infoset and then a query on top of it, provided we have a one to one relation in both the targets. That is, the combination of doc and item number is not duplicate in either cube or ODS.
2. Create a master data object of doc and item number and have date as an attribute. Load that from cube data and make date as navigational attr.
Use this navgntal attr for selection in your report.

How do I enable my new device with an existing ID - I do not need to change the password for the millionth time!
None of the FAQs (or the Community choices below) address new devices, they are all about APPS and iCloud stuff.

If it is an existing iCloud ID, you should be able to just go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with it.
