Change default layout in 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN
Hi,
I'm using the 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN as a template for my reports. When I run the report it opens up the "table" view by default. Now I would like to change this so that the report will start by showing the Chart instead. How can I do this?
There is a "drop_down_display" object in the template from where you can choose if you want to view the report as a table, a chart or a table and a chart. The default view is "table". When I look at the properties of the "drop_down_display" there is no obvious setting I can change to make the report open up the chart by default.
I looked at the XHTML code for this object. The orderlist says that index 1 have the "analysis_item" VISIBLE and the CHART_ITEM HIDDEN. I've tried to change this so that index 1 is having the analysis_item HIDDEN and hte chart_item VISIBLE. The only thing that happens then is that when I run the report the drop down is saying that it is showing the Chart but it is still the table that is showing.
So I'm guessing I need to change this somewere els? Any help would be much appreciated!

Yes of course. I have coped the standard template before I did any change.
Anyway, I think I now have an acceptable solution.
I changed the properties in ANALYSIS_ITEM to "HIDDEN" and the CHART_ITEM to VISIBLE. Then I changed the order in the drop_down_item so that the first option in the drop down list is now saying CHART. So now when I run the report it starts with the Chart, which is exactly what I'm looking for. I can also switch to Table and it works fine. Also when I choose the Table and Chart view it shows both the chart and the table. The only problem now is when I go back to only show the chart it shows both table and chart.
But I think this is ok with the customer.

How to change default layout of "personal pages"?
Hello everybody,
I configured my portal instance to automatically create new "personal pages" for new portal users. This works fine.
However...
can anyone give me a hint whether it is possible to change the initial layout of (i.e. locate and edit the template for) these new "personal pages"?
And, in addition, is there a place to configure that users are redirected to a custom start page after logging in?

To change the template used for Personal pages, follow the path
Page Groups > Shared Objects > Templates
and edit the "Template for Personal Pages" template.

Is there any way to change default layouts when making a book?
I'd like to move thing around on the page. Is there any way?
I'd also like to make a whole picture that is in the ratio of 2x3 print that way, but the program crops the ends to fill the space. Is there some way? (If I just add white to the top and bottom of the file will it print some kind of very light white there?
MacBook pro Mac OS X (10.4.8)I have noticed this too, i.e. the captured background is BMP, and the capture images are PNG. For example, my command line terminal window backgrounds are 4070.57K versus about 32K to 65K when I convert them to PNG files. Our demonstration files can be enormous because of the BMP backgrounds. It would definitely be advantageous to have a recording setting for PNG versus BMP for the backgrounds in Captivate.

Change default variant in ALV grid on runtime

where is the place in a code (CL_ALV_VARIANT, CL_GUI_ALV_GRID, ...) where I can change the deault layout. Customer require a modification which change default layout in ALV under specific circumstances.

If you want to simulate multiple "default variant" you should "mislead" the ALV by changing the report name used for storing variant (IS_VARIANT-REPORT) But in this case you will no longuer see every variant when in the ALV, only those of the "report name" passed when setting for first display.

Authorization for saving Default Layout Settings

In transaction /AFS/MD04, we would like to restrict users from changing the default screen layout. When they try to save a screen layout, we would like the checkbox to default to "User-specific" and not allow them to change the default.
Also, we would like to restrict those who can change the default with a parameter id.
To recreate: Enter a material and plant number and press enter. On screen 2000, subscreen 800 is the screen to which I'm referring. It is here that we would like to control the settings.
I have done this in custom reports using the following code:

I have seen some other posts regarding this issue and also seen OSS notes 409190 & 601803.
Our security team says that changing auth object S_ALV_LAYO would prevent users from changing the layout at all. Is this correct? We want to restrict who can set the Default Layout and give everyone else the ability to set the User Specific settings.
I have seen other posts refer to the I_SAVE parameter, the OSS notes also mention it, but it isn't clear to me how to use that.
We would like to do this in a SAP transaction - /AFS/MD04 - is this possible?

Problem in EP while changing the layout of the default portal page
i am working with EP7.in this i encountered a problem when i tried to change the layout of the default framework page.
i created a new layout in NWDS and uploaded it to portal.then i copied the default framework page to separate folder (my personal) and assigned the newly created layout and set that page as my default framework page.
but whenever i log into the portal or refreshes the page the top level navigation iview merges (overlaps) with the masthead iview and comes back to the assigned position after some time.i tried many ways to solve this problem but i couldnt.

Windows 7, can't change default keyboard layout.
Hi!
It's not the first windows I install but its the first time I can't change the default keyboard layout. As usual I go in control pannel,region & language, (tab)keybard and languages, I press on change keyboard, Added the one I want ( Canadian french keyboard ) Put it on top of the list, tryed to delete the azerty keyboard I mistakly selected during the install and the option remove is greyed out. I tryed rebooting still the same issue. I also tryed to set it as default in the administrative tabs still no result.. Is there a regkey I can modify or something?

Apple Mail app: how can I revert to the default layout after I changed it to the classic layout?
It's Mac OS X Mavericks. I've changed my Apple Mail app viewing style to "classic layout" in viewing/mail preference, and now I want to return back to the default layout. How can I do this?

User saves query view (web) with changed layout and opens default layout...

We are implementing the new (7.0) web template and the portal. One of my users is experiencing the following:
He runs a webquery, changes the layout in the desired format and does a save as in both My Portfolio/Bex Portfolio.
When he opens this "changed" view (both My Portfolio, Bex Portfolio) the default format/layout is openened.
When i open the view he created in Bex Portfolio i do see the changed format/layout ...
We put an authorization trace on his uid -> no result. Went through the loggings both on ABAP as well as Java stack -> no result.
Has anyone an idea what is happening.

XML Publisher Reprot Changing Default Output
Is there anyway we can set default Preview mode from PDF to excel so that while submitting XML report for excel output we need not to go to option screen to set Format as excel. This is really cumbersome for users, I want Default output must be EXCEL instead of PDF.
