Change default properties of TEMPLATE_PROPERTIES in 2004s

Hi gurus.
My issue is that I want to change the default parameters of web templates. For instance, I don't want information messages to be shown as default. I have found that it is possible to change this in the IMG under "Determine Settings for Web Templates". In the help menu for this activity it says that I should enter the "technical name of the library item in which you stored the Web template properties". I do not understand what this is.
Any help would be appriciated.
Regards
Øyvind Reinsberg

Thank you John,
I "should" be able to pop up on the table and use the properties of the table but I just realized why the properties weren't available (the menu "Create -> Property Node" is not even available). The reason seems to be because my Array of Clusters is a Strict Type Def Control. I use this Array in different places in my program and I find that it is very convenient to use a Strict Type Def for a Cluster since I am still in a development phase.
I am not very optimistic that there is something to be done apart from changing all my Strict Type Def controls back to regular controls... maybe "Type Def" Controls will suffice. But if you know of a way to programmatically modify the properties of a Strict Type Def Control, please don't hesitate to answer me back.
Thanks again.

  • How to change default properties when uploading role

    Hi, all.
Our env. is like the following.
       EP 6.0 SP9 patch1
       J2EE SP9
       Windows 2003 MS SQL Server
When we upload a role from R/3 to EP, role is correctly uploaded but the problem is the following default behavior.
    - default property of entryPoint for role is set to "false"
    - default property of GUI type for Transaction iView is dependent on the GUI support of R/3 SE93(Maintain Transaction Codes)
Is there any way to change these default settings to some other values in EP without modification?
What we want to do is that when we upload roles, we want to set the following values by default.
    - entryPoint = "true"
    - GUI type = "SAPGUI for Windows"
One way would be to use Content Administration --> Multiple Property Replacement feature but we want to reduce our operation time more.
    Thanks.

    Hi Sejoon
Even i'm in the same situation, i tried modifying transaction type in the
com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap.bwc.Transaction which is iview template for all the iviews created on import of roles..but it also dint work.
yeah Multiple replacement is not the best of the option,
let me know if u have figured out something.

So, how do I change the default properties for this annotation tool?  I need to change the Author and the color.

every new released update of Lr from v 5.2 changed somethin in my Windows 7 Professional settings. I am stucked. Can somebody help me please? Many thanks. Andrej

    Hi Jim,
yes after I imported my .cr2 raw files into new catalog it started to work. Windows 7 still does not recognize them but I can edit them as you said within the Lr5.6 and then export them into .psd or .dng files...as needed.
I bought Lr5 only because I got present - my new camera Cannon 70D and because my older Photoshop CS5.5 raw plugin does not recognize. cr2 files.
    Many thanks for your help.

  • Cannot change Printer Properties in Word 2010 with J6480. Properties revert to default setting

When I attempt to change Printer Properties in Word 2010, they simply revert back to the default setting.  I am unable to use the Printer Properties within the Word 2010.  If the default is grayscale, that is all the printer will print unless I change the default setup in the Control Panel. It appears to be an incompatibility with Office 2010 software as other programs allow the change of Printer properties.

I have the exact identical problem.  Brand new printer (HP PhotoSmart C4780) on a brand new PC (Windows 7).  I cannot access the printer properties dialog box when the PDF file has been opened in an embedded Adobe Viewer window in Internet Explorer.
When I select [Print] from Word or Adobe Viewer, or anywhere else, I can then press the [Properties] button and it opens the printer properties just fine.
But if I open a PDF document through Internet Explorer, clicking on that [Properties] button doesn't do anything.  No error or anything.  If I press the [Save] in the Adobe Acrobet-embedded Internet Explorer window, it too does nothing.  This leads me to think it is an Adobe Acrobat issue.  However, I have found nothing in their support forums on this topic.
Does anyone out there have any ideas?

  • Change Mouse Default Properties

How can I change mouse default properties in software simulation projects?

    Hello,
I don't know of a way to do this before capture, because the mouse has no object style in the Object Style Manager, and is not included in the Modes settings for capture. However changing the properties when editing can be done rather quickly:
Select one Mouse object, use Options accordion to change its properties
Use the small curved arrow button top right of that accordion, to apply the changed properties to all mouse objects.
Didn't check it out if it could be saved in a template... but then you'd have to use that template for each project. Please, could you also mention the version you are using when posting a question? For this question it was not that important, if you have a version later than 4.

  • Changing transition default properties?

    Hi,
For transitions, how do I change the default properties? For example, when I drop in a dissolve its duration is 1:06, and if I want it shorter I have to change it from that point. How do I change the default properties of the transition so that its duration is, say 10 frames? I do this all the time in FCP and it's a huge time-saver rather than manually adjusting every transition, especially when you're using a lot of the same type of transition.
    Thanks!
    Johnathan

You can change the default duration in the Preferences under General.

  • Acrobat pro: how set default properties for arrow and line tool seperately?

I have a problem with the 'comment and markup' tools in Adobe Acrobat Pro.
I would like to change the defaults of some of the tools, eg the arrow and the line tool.
This can be achieved by right-clicking on something drawn using the tool in question and then selecting 'properties' - or by selecting the tool and then press ctrl+E, wich opens a 'Callout Tool Properties', and then change what you want there. The latter option keeps the changes as defaults - the former offers a box to tick in the 'properties' dialogue that opens - or, you can right-click on the object again after having changed the properties, and then select 'Make Current Properties Default'.
My Problem is now, that, apparently, you cannot choose and save default properties freely and for each tool. I woul like to have the default properties for the line tool set as the following:
    -line color: yellow
    -line thickness: 8pt
    -opacity: 60%
and fot the arrow tool as this:
    -line color: red
    -line thickness: 1pt
    -opacity: 100%
This all works fine as long as the program is open. As soon as I exit and start it again opening another document /the same one again, the arrow tool changes to
    -line color: yellow
    -opacity: 60%
only the line thickness remains at 1pt.
If I change the properties of the line to the ones I want for the arrow, the arrow properties remain unaltered if I close Acrobat Pro.
Why do these properties interfere? Why is it "line color/thickness" in both? Why, then, do only the opacity and the color interfere, but not the thickness - even if it's the latter two properties that are bot called "line xxx"? Why does Acrobat not save all properties for these two shapes seperately - even IF the two shapes are both of a line-like kind?
Is there a way to get around this?

Trobbel - This indeed is puzzling behavior. Clicking 'Make Current Properties Default' should preserve the default  appearance for each. I don't have a solution, but merely a couple of suggestions:
    1) Make sure you have installed any available upgrade for your version of Acrobat Professional.
    2) Consider using the line tool exclusively - you can add an arrowhead and make one tool perform both tasks.
    Hope this helps. /rmbrown

  • How to change the properties of individulal elements in an array?

    Hi all,
I have an array (size is 25) of string and I want to disable and grayout half of them. But how do I do it? How do I change the properties of individual elements in an array? I have tried to use some of the examples given in the discussion forums, but it didint work for the task mentioned above. Anybody would be able to help me with a suitable example that can be specifically used for disable or enable the individual array  elements?

... except that all elements "greyed out" with this method contain the default string for the array element (blank by default, but changeable). There is no way to have meaningful, unique text in the greyed out elements.
I would suggest to use a listbox as control/indicator. Here elements can easily be disabled programmatically.

  • Change default layout in 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN

    Hi,
I'm using the 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN as a template for my reports. When I run the report it opens up the "table" view by default. Now I would like to change this so that the report will start by showing the Chart instead. How can I do this?
There is a "drop_down_display" object in the template from where you can choose if you want to view the report as a table, a chart or a table and a chart. The default view is "table". When I look at the properties of the "drop_down_display" there is no obvious setting I can change to make the report open up the chart by default.
I looked at the XHTML code for this object. The orderlist says that index 1 have the "analysis_item" VISIBLE and the CHART_ITEM HIDDEN. I've tried to change this so that index 1 is having the analysis_item HIDDEN and hte chart_item VISIBLE. The only thing that happens then is that when I run the report the drop down is saying that it is showing the Chart but it is still the table that is showing.
So I'm guessing I need to change this somewere els? Any help would be much appreciated!

    Anders

    Hi Martin,
Yes of course. I have coped the standard template before I did any change.
Anyway, I think I now have an acceptable solution.
I changed the properties in ANALYSIS_ITEM to "HIDDEN" and the CHART_ITEM to VISIBLE. Then I changed the order in the drop_down_item so that the first option in the drop down list is now saying CHART. So now when I run the report it starts with the Chart, which is exactly what I'm looking for. I can also switch to Table and it works fine. Also when I choose the Table and Chart view it shows both the chart and the table. The only problem now is when I go back to only show the chart it shows both table and chart.
But I think this is ok with the customer.

  • VS 2013 - SQL Server Projects - Can I Change defaults for SQL Servers to use and the paths to DB-files?

    Hi all,
when a create a SQL Server Project using "File > New ...", I find the following settings defaulted:
    SQL Server is (local)\Version12.0 and
DefaultDataPath, DefaultFileprefix and the DefaultFilename(s) for MDFs and LDFs point to the Project directory.
Initial settings of file size and increments are also not settable but defaulted.
Because my projects have to verify performance by testing with large volume of data, we have to use a different SQL Server with files stored on that Server. The Project settings have a button to changes DB properties, but these are not part of that
    dialog.
So I spent some fruitless hours in vain to find a way to change the project's connection to my development SQL Servers.
    How to cope with that?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards Uwe

    Hi Caillen,
thanks for Your response. I have to apologize for being a little late with my answer. I'll try to clarify my case more precisely:
This is surely a topic related to VS2013 handling new "SQL Server Database Projects". When one clicks "OK" the following steps are executed by VS2013 (surely controlled by standard templates or the like):
VS2013 creates the new project in a selectable directory and uses the projectname as a subdirectory whre the directory elements (*.sqlproj, bin\, obj\) where  later all the *.sql are placed, too. This is normal and expected.
VS2013 creates a new database with its DB-files
and attaches it to "(localdb)\ProjectsV12". The name of the database is the name of the project. The path to the DB-files (*.mdf and ldf) and their sizes are also defaulted to small values. The DB-server and the
path to the DB-files is taken from the registry (!) HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\12.0\SSDT\LocalDbDatabaseFilePaths. I don't know when and by what tools these values are set.
The path to DB-Files is typically also the path to the projects. The (local)-server places all system database files in the User\<user-ID>\Appdata\.. tree. Which is OK for small databases. The templates extracts some data from the DB-file path and
places it in the deployment SQLs to populate the SQLCMD variables DefaultDataPath, DefaultFileprefix and the DefaultFilename(s) which are generated when pressing "Executed" or "Debug" the project.
My problem is that we have to test database performance with larger volumes of data (e.g. two million rows and more). These cannot be stored in the User-path but must be handled by some kind of professional DB-Manager on various storage devices. When everything
is tested, the publishing function of VS2013 will extract the structure and you are done incl. all the performance taming things.
The dialog from the project properties can change to a different Server, but that server does not know your project database. The server and the DB-Files should be specified by the developer before VS2013 creates the database.
So  the right forum would be a forum, where people developing SQL Server solutions with VS2013 are reading the questions.
    Thanks again for your patience.
    Regards Uwe

  • Change default magnification of PDF

    Hi,
i create an PDF with the usual functional moduls and display it in WD4A.
by default I get a magnification of 138%, but I would like to see the document in 100% size.
Can I somehow set this as default? I somehow did not found anything under "preferences" in the form designer.
    Thanks!

    Hello you two!
Thanks for the answers! If its not possible its also good to know and of course I will tell the users to change their properties by themselve locally if they want to have 100% by default.
Otto: I will try it out just to serve my natural curiosity. But I assume that these changes need to be done after each generation of the form and I thing thats maybe what the users want me to do but what I dont want

  • BEx default properties

    Hi guru's,
When I launch a query vie BEx ... It's possible to change the default properties of the BEx Analyzer ? For example I want to put this properties (Do not adjust column width)by default for all the queries I launch via BEx ...
    Thanks in advance
    Aleksi

    Hi Aleksi,
As the previous responders have written, there is no way to set these properties automatically using built-in BW capabilities.  I agree.  But, that does not mean it cannot be done.
The only way I know to accomplish this is to write your own macro to do this.  There are 3 parts to it.  The easy part is setting the properties to not adjust column width.  The more difficult part is making your macro aware that you have opened a workbook.  Then you would need to check to see if the workbook just opened is a BW workbook, so that it can then set the adjust column width property to your liking for every query in that workbook.
I will give you the overview here. If you are interested in pursuing it, post again and I will give you the details.
    The easy part first ...
To set the column width property, you go to the (very) hidden worksheet named "SAPBEXqueries" in the BW workbook, in column Q you put either a 0 (do not adjust), a 1(adjust to results area), or a 2 (adjust to entire column width).
    To more difficult parts ...
To know that a workbook has been opened (so you can do the rest), you have to access an Application event.  The good news is that the WorkbookOpen event is built into Excel.  The other news is that to access it you need to create a Class Module in VBA. This is an advanced topic; but, not an impossibly advanced topic.  Chip Pearson has a web page on this topic, if you want to read more. http://www.cpearson.com/excel/AppEvent.htm
To know if the workbook that has just been opened is a BW workbook is actually the easiest part of this (but, logically follows knowing when a workbook has been opened).  Every BW workbook has a (very) hidden worksheet named "SAPBEXqueries".  I doubt you will find any other workbooks with this distinct characteristic.  But, if you really want to be sure, you can also look for hidden Names in the workbook ... you should find these:  SAPBEXrevision, SAPBEXsysID, and SAPBEXwbID.
If you want details, post again.

  • Changing datamatrix properties

    Hi,
I am pretty new to Adobe Forms and have the following problem:
I want to change the properties of a datamatrix barcode (it's not a paper form barcode), especially the number of segments. By default only 4 segments are created (at least if the content is not bigger). I tried to change it with a FormCalc-script, but couldn't manage to do it.
    This is my code:
    Code3.ui.#barcode.dataColumnCount = "1"
    Code3.ui.#barcode.dataRowCount    = "2"
"Code3" is the name of the barcode, the values are just examples. I played around a lot with these values, but could not see any difference. I inserted the script at different events, all without any change:
    initialize
    layout:ready
    form:ready
Can someone tell me where my mistake is? Or is the change of these properties not supported for datamatrix?
I am using Adobe Livecycle Designer ES2 in an SAP-system.
    Best regards,
    Daniel

The rendering of the modules and their size is actually controlled by the barcode renderer. So, the sizing of the modules will grow when there is less data and the barcode size allows. I don't believe you can access any of the properties manually. The only items I know are exposed are the error correction levels.
