Change destination folder.

There is any way to change the destination folder of my books in "adobe digital editions" I tried everithing and it keeps saving the archives in the digital book memory instead of doing it on the sd memory card.
Thanks

No, the download folder is hard coded to be the (My) Digital Editions folder, which must be in the OS user's (My) Documents folder.  ( It's My Documents on Windows, and Documents on Mac).

That's the latest version, and you can see above under Question Details - More System Details that it's available to websites.
Since I don't see any obvious issues, I suggest you perform a clean install of Flash Player as described below. It's admittedly tedious, but it's an effective cure-all for most Flash Player problems.

I tried changing destination folder to D but it won't save file there, even though it says that's the destination folder, so I'm stuck.ynching
I tried synching, restarting the computer, uninstalling app, nothing worked.

Move data files to D and try again... I don't know about Photoshop, but some Adobe software won't work correctly if you don't install on the C drive

  • Changing iTunes backup destination folder

Hi, I am trying to change the backup destination folder from my laptop to an externa drive because I am running out of memory locally. Any advise on doing this is welcome. Thanks.

Believe me I am not an expert here, but seems like there are 2 processes to look at. One is the transit process (loading thumbnails from card to view on screen, and converting selected files to DNG). The second process is writing those files selected to disk. It would appear to me the process of writing to disk has lots of space, so the transitory process must use virtual memory, temp or a cache file and that has limited capacity.
Think you could test this by doing the process twice. Once the normal way to see if it has the usual error message, and once by dividing the process up. (Might have do delete the imported data on disk so each run is new.) Rather than selecting 8 gig of data all at once, try it with 2 gig. If it works at that level you can try it at 4 gig and so forth to see what your upper limit is before you start getting error messages. When reached you can either just learn to stay below it or figure out how to increase the limiting resource.
Interesting question, let us know what you discover. Thanks.

  • Trouble importing since changing iTunes folder destination

    Hi,
I have asked everyone I know about this problem and nobody seems to know what to do, please help...
I previously ran iTunes on my PC Laptop using an external hard drive to store all my music on and thus had the itunes music folder destination set to the hard drive.
Since the laptop died, I now have a macbook and got a new ipod to start over. The external hard drive with all my music works ok with the macbook.
I initially imported a couple of CDs into my itunes straight onto the macbook when the ext drive was playing up and i was desperate for some music for my ipod, once i got the hard drive working again i hooked it up and changed the itunes music destination folder to the hard drive and left it transferring my entire library back into itunes overnight.
This worked fine but now itunes wont let me import cds with the destination set to the hard drive (yes, the hard drive is on and connected when attempting this).
Sorry this is such an essay but i didnt know how else to explain the problem.
Anyone have any ideas? I am becoming desperate.
    Thanks
    Tom

Change the location of the library in the Preferences. This tells iTunes where new music that you add will go, but it won't move your existing music there.
Back in iTunes, use the Consolidate Library option. This will copy all the music currently in iTunes to the new Library location, along with organizing it and renaming it and such. Once this is done, you can check that the music is there, and then delete the old location.
    Few things:
-There's a couple of files that live in My Music\iTunes. These are an ITL and an XML file. These cannot be moved. They contain all the information about what's in your iTunes library.
-If you still want to move them, use TweakUI to change the location of your My Music folder to somewhere that won't get copied to the server. Then move/copy the library files to that new location.

  • HT201361 Is it possible to save the screenshot files to a different folder than desktop. How can I change the folder?

Is it possible to save the screenshot files to a different folder than desktop (that is the default). How can I change the destination folder? Thank you, Sal

To change the screenshot capture location to a new place on your Mac, first think of a location that would serve you properly. We like to place ours in a "Screenshot" folder located inside of the User's "Pictures" folder. To change the location to this new location, open the Terminal and enter the following command:
    defaults write com.apple.screencapture location /Users/[u]/Pictures/Screenshots/
Replace "[u]" with the name of the user on your system. Once you have entered this command, let's restart the screen capture utility by restarting the SystemUIServer by entering the following command:
    killall SystemUIServer
You can optionally log out and back in instead of entering this second command, thus restarting the SystemUIServer. Once restarted, all screen captures taken from here on out will end up in your /Pictures/Screenshots/ folder in the User's home folder on your Mac.

Please follow these directions to delete the Mail "sandbox" folders. In OS X 10.9 there are two sandboxes, while in 10.8 there is only one. If you're running a version older than 10.8, this comment isn't applicable.
    Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
              Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu.* A Finder window should open with a folder named "com.apple.mail" selected. If it does, move the selected folder—not just its contents—to the Desktop. Leave the Finder window open for now.
Log out and log back in. Launch Mail and test. If the problem is resolved, you may have to recreate some of your Mail settings. You can then delete the folder you moved and close the Finder window.
This action will delete any custom Mail stationery that you have created. If you want to preserve it, ask for instructions.
If you still have the problem, quit Mail again and put the folder back where it was, overwriting the one that may have been created in its place. Repeat with this line:
    ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.MailServiceAgent
Caution: If you change any of the contents of the sandbox, but leave the folder itself in place, Mail may crash or not launch at all. Deleting the whole sandbox will cause it to be rebuilt automatically.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination  command-C. In the Finder, select
              Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

  • Itunes 8.0.1 won't install to the correct destination folder

After installing Itunes to the hard drive (I've tried this on both my laptop's hard drive as well as an external hard drive), the destination folder points to the CD Rom drive and won't let you change it.
Help?! I've tried installing three different times, both from the upgrade as well as from the direct website.

I've done that, and it still won't save to teh correct file. It disregards where I want the file saved, and saves it to the E drive, which is my cd rom drive. Then, of course, it won't save to the CD rom drive, becuase there's no memory there.

  • Destination folder in Actions and Batch

I use Photoshop CS on a Mac G4 (PPC) with OS X 10.4.11.
I need to convert large folders of JPEGs with sRGB profile to Adobe RGB. I recorded an 'action' , which works fine, except for one thing. Here are the instructions from the Photoshop Help files:
    To create a new action:
    Open a file.
In the Actions palette, click the New Action button , or choose New Action from the Actions palette menu.
Enter a name for the action.
(Photoshop) Choose a set from the pop-up menu.
If desired, set one or both of the following options:
Assign a keyboard shortcut to the action. You can choose any combination of a Function key, the Ctrl key (Windows) or Command key (Mac OS), and the Shift key (for example, Ctrl+Shift+F3), with these exceptions: In Windows, you cannot use the F1 key, nor can you use F4 or F6 with the Ctrl key.
(Photoshop) Assign a color for display in Button Mode.
Click Record. The Record button in the Actions palette turns red .
Important: When recording the Save As command, do not change the filename. If you enter a new filename, Photoshop records the filename and uses that filename each time you run the action. Before saving, if you navigate to a different folder, you can specify a different location without having to specify a filename.
Choose the commands, and perform the operations you want to record.
To stop recording, either click the Stop button, choose Stop Recording from the Actions palette menu, or press the Escape key. To resume recording in the same action, choose Start Recording from the Actions palette menu.
It's the 'Important:' bit under 6. that I'm concerned about If, when recording the action, I specify, say, 'Desktop' in which to 'Save As...', and then when I use the Batch command I specify a particular (different) destination folder, I end up with two lots of converted images: one lot in the destination folder, the other on the desktop. If, when recording the action, I specify a particular place to save in, then I can't (or can I?) use this action on another occasion when I haven't created a destination folder of that name and want to specify a new destination folder under 'Batch'. And if I specify the same destination folder in the recorded action and in 'Batch', I run into further trouble.
What is the right thing to do? Thank you in anticipation of help.

  • Media Player 12: No destination folder for CD copy...

    Hey there,
I've got this 500GB external USB drive that was synchronizing with WinMedia 12 flawlessly...BUT I had to change the drive's letter (from H: to X:)....and since then WM12 won't give me the option to choose a destination folder nor will copy any discs.
    It's that menu:
    ----> Library / Tools / Options / CD Copy
But under "copy the music to this destination" there's nothing, not even the default Music folder in C:
The "change" button doesn't work and when I put a CD and hit Copy, I get an error about WM12 being unable to copy the disk...
I tried reverting the drive back to H:, but it made no difference.
    Help!
PS: My Win7 Pro is in brazilian portuguese, so I'm not sure my english version of the menus' tags is accurate...

    Hi,
This issue may occur if the "Default Music Library locations" refers to an unavailable location.
To troubleshoot this issue, please reset default library location as below:
    1. In WMP, click the arrow besides Organize, choose Manage Libraries -> Music
    2. If the default save location is unavailable, please choose another location and set it as default save location.
    3. After that, you can rip CD
After rip, try copying it to the USB drive.

  • Destination Folder not showing content after Export

I am running in a problem with 3.2 when I export Canon Raw images from one folder to another. What is happening is that post the completion of the export the destination folder will either show only part of the exported images, or none at all. This applies to the folder file count and what is visible in the destination folder in terms of visible images. IHowever, when I open up Windows Explorer or BreezeBrowser Pro, the content of the folder is correct. Here are the solutions I have tried:
    1) Right-click on the destination folder and attempt to select "Synchronize Folder". However, it is grayed out.
    2) Refresh the database and restart LR. This has not impact. However, "Synchronize Folder" is not availabe and it will show the missing quantity so then and if I pick "Synchronize" it will bring up the Import box and I will then click on import and now the destination folder shows the correct number of images and they are visible after open it.
    3) When all else fails I do a repain install and that seems to correct the problem for a while.
Despite all these remedies the issue eventually reoccurs.
I am running Win 7 64 with 8G of ram and plenty of HD space. Anybody seen this behavior and if yes, found any solutions? Thanks in advance for any suggestions or help.

    Rachel
Sounds like a damaged database file.
Try these in order - from best option on down...
    1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
    2. Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
    3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new *iPhoto 08* library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Events and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
In the iPhoto Preferences -> Events Uncheck the box at 'Imported Items from the Finder'
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Event Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.
