Change Display Resol-Sparc 5 - SOlaris 8

Hi!
I am new to the Unix word,I have a question for you, I got a Sparc 5 with TGXPlus buffer, I am unable to change the display resolution, how do I do that?
The default resolution is 1152x900, I want to change it to 1024x768, so I can use it with a regular PC monitor (I have the adaptor: P#130-3034-01), with the default resolution I can't seem to be able to make it work, the screen on the PC-monitor is black (I tried 3 different PC-monitors), maybe changinfg the resolution I can make it work. All the PC-monitors I have can use a max resol. of 1240x...
I don't have m64config commnad on my sparc.
I tried to use fdconfig with no luck, all I can get from this command is #fdconfig -list (which I get the type of buffer I have), if I try something else, like #fdconfig -res 1024x768 or #fdconfig -help, it tells me that I don't have that command in the system (but I can see where it is!).
There is any way I can change the resolution?

Thank you very much, this solved my problem...finally!!!
I was able to change the resolution on my monitor, buy you had the instruction as:
OK setenv output-display screen:r1024x768x77
This did not work for me, but I tried chanching the rword 'display' for 'device', like this:
OK setenv output-device screen:r1024x768x77
(just for the heck of it!) and it worked.
Thank you, even th I am able to change the resolution I still can't use it with a regular pc-monitor, I wonder if I have a bad adapter..mmmhhh.

How to disable the 'Change - Display' Button in Cluster via SM34 ?

Hi
I have a View Cluster maintained with a transaction wich calls SM34 passing it the Cluster.
I need the dialog be only in display mode, so i'm looking for a way to disable the button Change<->Display.
Does somebody knows how can i do this ? maybe with an event, the button does not appears or well making the button does not change the display mode (does not change the field VIEW_ACTION siwtch from 'S' to 'U')

Hi Frank,
On SAP 4.7 Version
1). Goto SHD0
2). Enter the transaction code as SM34
3). ENter the transaction Variant as say ZSM34
4). Click on the create button --> this will take you to the sm34 screen. If you want to default some value or disable something on this screen just hit enter on this screen. You will get a popup window to select and restrict.
5). You can further go to next screen and deactivate the menu. On the popup screen you will get a button MENU FUNCTIONS.

According to your post, my understanding is that you want to change display name of workflow email address in sharepoint 2010.
In my environment, if I assign a task to a user, the email is as below:
The “test” is the site name, the [email protected] is the “From” user.
Do you want to change the “From” field in the workflow?
If so, you can have a look at the "Send email extended" custom SPD workflow activity (http://www.codeplex.com/SPDActivities
) which allow you to specify the sender.

How to get the screen number in the change/display FI Document screen?

Hi guys,
I was just wondering if there is a way, in the abap dictionary or otherwise, for me to detect the assigned screen number in the FI Change/Display Document screen (FB02/FB03)?
I ask this because the screen number changes depending on the line item's posting key and G/L Account from my observation.

Yes you can get by the SHDB transaction
GO to SHDB. click on the new recording... give the name of the recording as ZFB02.. enter the tcode FI02 and press start recording..
Put the Document and open all required screens.. you need to put the values in the required fields to be caputred in the recording.
Come back and save.
Now, if you are planning to make a BDC to change the FI document than you can use the BAPI BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_CHANGE.

It's possible change the Display Name ? Yes.
You can change the display name by using the PERSONAL_NAMES mapping table.
For example to change the following on outgoing email (via tcp_local):
From: Shane Hjorth <[email protected]>
to
From: What The <[email protected]>
1) Add the personalmap keyword to the tcp_local channel
2) Add the following mapping table to the mappings file:
PERSONAL_NAMES
*|[email protected] $YWhat$ The3) Rebuild config

I've got a smart mailbox named "Unread messages" that just collects ... all my unread messages (I do a lot of automagic sorting) and then have DockStar show how many messages are in that smart folder.

Permanent Crash related to changing display settings while FCP is open.

Recently, the display settings (arrangement) on my two monitors started changing by itself while I was working in FCP 6.5. I'm using ancient monitors (Viewsonic MB90 and Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 920. I just don't have the money to upgrade right now). Tis was annoying but I dealt with the problem by creating two different windows layouts. Then things got worse (the only thing I had done was install 8 gigs of additional memory on top of the original 2). FCP started crashing and now I can't even open the application. It doesn't react.
Apple recently posted a not very informative acknowledgement of the problem with changing display settings while FCP is open, but it doesn't suggest solutions to my problem. It would be helpful to know a) what resolution and refresh rates are best for these old monitors and b)how to open FCP again. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Disabling the nVidia deep colors for 3d applications solved the uber-annoying "flicker-screen-settings-and-disrupt/crash-other-programs" issue. I specifically only disabled deep colors for Premiere, not for all 3d applications I use, because none of them have caused the same problem as Premiere.
This display-screen setting issue probably occurred because I use a Dell u3011 monitor which displays Adobe RGB color gamut, not just sRGB.
However, now this brings up another question with disabling deep colors (effectively disabling the Adobe RGB use of the Dell monitor):
QUESTION: If I have CG-rendered frames that seem to be created in sRGB and Adobe RGB (in two different programs), what color space should I be mixing/editing them in?
I'm somewhat of a novice with the color spectrum/gamut issue. From what I understand, if I edit both CG images in sRGB, I'll be losing color data from the Adobe RGB-created CG image. If I edit both CG images in Adobe RGB, will I create minor banding effects on the sRGB image because it doesn't have the color range that I'm editing in? Perhaps my question is more relevant to AfterEffects compositing of the images rather than simply/only editing them in Premiere.
The end result is something like an architectural film/ flythrough.

You can default Firefox to a larger zoom level to avoid having to zoom every page. You'll still be able to adjust the size for individual sites as needed. It sounds as though you are aware of these add-ons:

as tibollo said you just need to mark 0CALMONTH with text in RSD1.
Kindly note that you don't need to do data load for this object.
It will automatically derive by system.
Just change the Info object 0CALMONTH in RSD1, Go to Master Data/text column and check mark on with text.
Then activate it.

The sole purpose of the field Category i.e Data output category is reporting ,Which means when you check the report of Display Changes for a version in PO it will show you all the fields (as per SAP all fields are of same importance ) but if you want to impose importance to those fields according to your need then you assign a category and later you can sort the list based on this category
Now how it works lets take an example
Suppose you create a PO take print out and then changed few data in PO so new version triggers -> Mark this version as completed and saved the PO
Now after that your boss or any one want to see what changes you have made for that PO so he select version 1 in header and click on Display changes
Field........................................old value.......New value.......Changed by......Changed On....Category
1> Price ................................100 EUR.......120 EUR...........user1234..........18.02.12................A

So it just an additional information for you to categorized and easily identify important fields among many other changed fields.

Problem changing displayed component smoothly

I have the following problem that I cannot resolve.
Background : I have two display components which my app must alternate between showing. One is a JScrollPane holding a JTextPane, the other a canvas. The canvas in turn holds an animation. In my first attempt I construct a JPanel which (when it is time to change display) just remove the scrollpane and add the canvas, starting the animation thread and then call revalidate(). It works, but this solution is not smooth enough, it took more than one second before the the animation is displayed properly. To solve this I was thinking of putting the two components into a JTabbedPane component, and then just let the app change the tab index. However, I dont want the tabs available in the JTabbedPane, since changing the display is controlled by the app, not by user interaction. In fact, I dont want the tabs visible at all.
So, how do I solve this? Is using a JTabbedPane, but somehow disabling the tabs possible, or does anyone know a better solution?

You're problem might be due to your use of the Canvas (which in Swing is called a heavyweight (=bad) component).
JPanel is lightweight and you're trying to add a heavyweight component to a lightweight one - which is Bad, bad, bad. Simply make your component extend not Canvas but either java.awt.Component or java.awt.Container.

Change the Layout for Create Change Display and   Alv List

I am working on Custom Development WD Application for Maintain   Employee.
I need to Get help/advice to hadle the two Problems.
1) In my application I have to provide Create,Change & display Employee.
Customer needs seperate Link/Application for all Create , Change and Display in Portal.
I thought I am planning to Create Three Application in the WD Component(Create,Change & Display) while Pressing the Application I have to find out what is the Application They Pressed in the Componenet Controller to Change the Layout/Field (Edit/Display/Visisble) according to Create/Change/Display Employee.
For this How to Find the Application name of the WD Componenet.
2) To show the Employee List I am having using ALV LIst.
But my List consuists of 35 Fields. Customer not ready for scrolling the List to see all columns.
I thought I am planning to provide Visible/Invisble columns after providing one button.
If they pressed this button It will next set of Columns with out scrollibng.
How to handle this ?
Kindly help/advise me for both the Problems to proceed further.

Are they planning to buy Wide Screen monitor ??
I am not really fan of the solution you propose, at the same time i am not having better idea. I would get the customer on table and see how they would like to have the presentation of 35 columns without scrolling.
ALV provides customization, in that way users can select their own list of columns.

Change/display dialog program

I am using dialog program to display the records on the screen. On screen layout i declared all fields as output fields only. Now I want to add a button (change/display) on to screen so that when ever i press the button the screen has to change from display to change mode(just like the normal display/change button in se38) and vice versa so that i can edit the fields and save it again.
I would like to know if there exists any function module to do so or can some one please help me with a code.

Define your fields as input/output fields. In the PBO, you can either turn them on or off by applying the logic below.

    MODIFY SCREEN.
ENDIF.
ENDLOOP.
If you do SCREEN-ACTIVE = 1 or 0, you are actually showing or hiding the field itself, but if you do SCREEN-INPUT = 1 or 0, you are just making the field editable or display only.
