Change document type for Depreciation postings
I need to change the document type for depreciation postings due to document number conflicts resulting from inter-company code depreciation (reference OSS note 51860). But the system will not allow me to do this because "depreciation has been posted" AC 086 (depreciation <u>has</u> been posted in prior months). Does anyone know of a way around this?
Thanks,
CynthiaHi Cynthia,
Have you tried Tcode AO71. You can probably change document type for dep posting by company code.
This does not work for you?
Let me know.
You can reach me at [email protected]

CHANGE DOCUMENT TYPE IN SERVICE PO
Hi,
Do you know if is possible (and how) to change Document Type in PO by ME22N transaction in SERVICE purchase order in which you have created at least one services line item.
I'm not able to do it because Document type field is grey. If i shall delete all services line items that filed will became white, and so changable.
Can you help me?
Thanks.Hi,
But isn't that what I said in the first place?
the question asked if you could change the document type on a service PO and I said that it couldn't be done?
I even apologised because I thought that I was wrong when you said that it was possible, but even in 4.6 onwards you cannot change the docuemnt type when it contains service item category lines?

Change Document Types for CV02N
Hi
We implemented SAP content server and have assigned a lot of the documents in CV01 to a wrong/incorrect Document type.
Now we have to limit the authorization based on the document type.
We were wondering if there is a way to change the Document Type of an uploaded document, say for example, Change a document from Document type "NPO" to say "NSC" or vise versa.
Is there a report of something that can help us?
Thanks
AbhiYou will not be able to change the document type of already uploaded documents...
Instead you can go to those DIRs and mark those DIRs for deletion and run a Standard SAP Program "MCDOKDEL" in T-code SE38 which will delete all DIR marked for deletion.
Afterwards you can create DIRs under right Doc Type,
Control Authorization based upon Doc. Type - use Tcode PFCG -
Changing document type for invoice
hi i posted invoice with doc type vendor invoice in detailed tab
then i reverse it credit memo by mistake i used doc type vendor document
then i again invoiced with doc type ven invoice
now i want to change the doc type of reverse from vend doc to vend invoice
plz helpHi,
In MR8M you can cancel the Invoice document.
Credit memo is raised when material is returned to vendor or if there is any Qty variance in PO qty.
You hve to cancel the first Invocie in MR8M transaction then you hve to post it in with correct data.
Try to cancel the Invoice and Credit memo in MR8M and post with correct data.
Can you tell me why you want to change the document type ?

Change document type within transaction ABSO
Hello Experts,
I am trying to change the standard document type AA to AF for the transaction ABSO. But unfortunately I am getting posted in AA which I don't want.
Current situation :
Created a new transaction type Z42 copying an existing transaction type 640 (Unplanned depreciation on prior year acquisitions). Then within the document type I have inserted AF as the default document type (screenshot attached).
To be :
Change the document type to AF.
Any suggestions are welcomed.
Thanks,Hello Mukthar,
Thank you for your quick response.
Do you mean when I make a repeat run of AFAB or AFAR it will create a AF document ?
But then why is it showing the amount 0 on the movement type but on the unplanned depreciation field the correct amount ?
Is there something need to be done ?

Problem changing Document Type in tx. COMM_PCAT_ADM
Hi experts,
In tx. COMM_PCAT_ADM, in a catalog area, i double click on Item overview, then i click on Item Documents from Item Details. There I can see all the folders with their images in case they have any.
I have to change the document type in the item's properties. If i do this at folder level properties, the image keeps ok But if i change the document type at the image level properties, the image disappears from my "tree". What i need is the first case (the image mustn't disappear).
Does any body know how can i solve it ??? Is it possible ?? or in case the user changes the document type at the image level, he will have to attach again the image manually ???
Thanks in advance !!!!
Regards,
MariaHi Maria,
Did you figure out how to best implement an authorization check in transaction COMM_PCAT_ADM? I am facing exactly the same problem and would appreciate your input.
Thanks,

Change document type without changing file extension
I've recently started using Dreamweaver CS3 after nearly a decade on Homesite (which regrettably wouldn't work on my new Windows 7 machine). I like Dreamweaver's code view but find it lacking in some of the flexibility and intelligence that Homesite had.
Case in point: I work on a rather large site that uses Classic ASP. Most of the site uses .html file extensions, but we have these configured to be processed through the ASP engine. When editing the pages on this site, Dreamweaver sees the .html file extension and assumes they're regular HTML documents, and color codes them accordingly, but it can't figure out ASP comments and code blocks and mangles the color coding. If I try to change the Document Type (in the Application > Server Behaviors panel), Dreamweaver insists on changing the file extension too.
It appears I can modify Dreamweaver's MMDocumentTypes.xml file so that it thinks .html files are ASP. But I don't want to do this globally for ALL the sites I work on, only for this particular site. It would be really nice if I could change the document type definitions on a per-site basis, or to change the document type for a file without having to change the file extension. Surely I'm not the first person to use non-standard file extensions on webpages. Any ideas on how to fix this?I think you have to disable it in your Operating system:

Change document type (BKPF-BLART)
Hello,
I have the following problem:
One of our customers has established a new process. for an invoice which was posted with MIRO he wants to change the accounting document type (bkpf-blart) depending on the purchase order type.
My first idea was to use the <i>BTE 00001120 DOCUMENT POSTING: Field substitution header/items</i>.
There I have acces to all fields I need for my condition check. Unfortunately I have detect, that the strucutre for the substitutable fields (BKPF_SUBST) doesn't contain the field BLART.
Is there another way to change the document type?
Regards,
SvenHi Sven,
You can actually create your own substitutable fields by fiddling with table GB01. If there is a record already existing for BLART you have to make the field BEXCLUDE blank. If not add the record with BLART (you can check some other substitutable field as reference). Use SE16 or create a Z program. Once this is done it can be substituted.
Note however there is an SAP note stating that the customer is responsible for such changes. However I have seen companies use this for BLART (and sometimes even HKONT!) and there has been no problems.
Rgds
Shivram.
