Change download location

I just purchased a new memorey card for my android, but I don't know how to change the location from my phone to the external memory card. it is going to th e default, but my actual phone storage is full. can you help me please? I have been searching online for 2 days, and still can't figure it out.

I am sorry I am soo not used to this kind of stuff. I am using HTC vivid, and address bar meaning once Firefox is open? Ad if now it says sdcard, but its full. I want them to go to external sd card (removable one). And also do I need to create new folders? If I am downloading videos from Firefox add on flash video downloader. And just want them to be organized on the removable storage card. Again I am sorry for being so slow, I just don't understand these kind of things. But also, thank you so much for assisting me with this!

  • I can't change Download Location, or Save pages/images..."Browse" dialog will not show.

If I go into Options, and click "Browse" to change the Download location, nothing happens. I have used Firefox for many years and have never had this problem. I just did a clean install of Win7 (wiped entire HDD), and the problem started when I installed Firefox this time.
I can also NOT "Save Page..." or "Save Image As..."....basically anything that requires a Browse dialog window does not work, it just stalls and nothing happens.
I read another report of this, and the only solution that was given was to Reset Firefox. I did that, to no effect. I also saw something about migrating profiles, etc....I did not import anything into Firefox when I installed, nor do I have more than one user account in Windows. It's a really odd problem, but unfortunately I can't use Firefox if I can't save things. I've tried browse dialogs in other applications and I have no problems there.
Thanks for any assistance! Just to re-iterate, this is a completely clean install of Firefox and Win7...I even tried uninstalling/reinstalling Firefox before posting here.

    I hope this helps-
Go to the option menu and under the General tab, chose "ask me where to save files" and then restart Firefox in safe mode.
If this doesn't work, check for updates.

  • Change download location to external storage?

I have installed latest Firefox on Android 4.4 KitKat and want to change the download location from internal storage to the SD-card. I have followed this procedure:
    <p>1) Change value of <b>browser.download.folderList</b> to 2</p>
<p>2) Create new string entry with the name <b>browser.download.dir</b> and the correct path as value</p>
<p>3) Close Firefox completely and restart Android</p>
However, this do not work as Firefox still save files in the Download folder on internal storage.
What can I do to solve this problem?

    Hi,
Very good question! I'm not sure there is that option, so I've filed a bug for you:
    https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1096638
Hopefully the FIrefox developers can add it in the future.
    Hope this helps,

  • How do I change download location fron phone memory to external SDCard?

I dont want downloads to save on device memory because it is small (1.5 Gb) compared to external SDCard (32 Gb). Firefox does not give any option to change location of download.

    1. Create the Donwload Folder on the external SD card:
    /mnt/extSdCard/Download ( = /storage/extSdCard/Download)
    2. Type '''about:config''' in URL
Create the String value variable '''''browser.download.dir''''' and assign the value of the folder on step 1. It is very important to use the proper caps, so check your folder name and put it here correctly.
    3. Modify the variable '''browser.download.foldelist '''and set it to '''2'''.
Close Firefox and close it from background also.

  • Changing download file location in Safari

I want to change the download file location of my safari from the 'default downloads' into my external hard drive. But whenever I tried to change the download location, my external hard drive won't show up under option 'devices' even though it is inserted properly to its usb port. I also have it formatted to exFAT. Previoiusly, I was able to change the download file locations of my Safari to my different external hard drives but now Safari won't let me.
Here's a pic of how I tried to change the file location. But like I said, my external hard drive won't show up in the device option Help please?

  • How do I set download location to sd card? on galaxy s3

    4.1.2

    Hey garyduff12!
To Waka_Flocka_Flame: I don't mean to take over this post but I feel this way would be easier than changing/making new folders in directories.
garyduff12: Here is my way to change download location to your SD card. Press ALT click Options>and check the box that says '''Always ask me where to save files''' then click OK. You have to point your saved file to your SD card location then when you want to save another file, it should actually point to the SD card again as long as it is plugged in.
    Thanks!

  • Need help changing the default download location in Firefox3.6.16

    <blockquote>Locking duplicate thread.<br>

I have been having default download location problem for over a year now and no one has been able to offer a solution so if you can figure this out, well, I can't say enough good about you.
Here's my problem. I'm an online math instructor for a college. I use Firefox 3.6.16, and have also tried the latest version. Os is Vista. Students email me Microsoft Word 2007 documents every day as attachments to email. I click on the documents, make corrections and when I go to save their document to my computer, the default always wants to save it in a temp file! I read where Firefox is supposed to default save in the desktop (which is where I want it to default to, but that never happens). When the save defaults to the temp file, I have to scroll up numerous files and find the desktop option and click it to save it on the desktop. This is not a huge deal until you have to do it for 90 students and then it becomes time consuming.
Numerous times I have followed the standard process of (TOOLS>OPTIONS>SAVE FILES TO DESKTOP) within Firefox but that never works. I've reinstalled Firefox, that doesn't work. I've also tried to change the "Save Options" settings within Word 2007 and that hasn't solved the problem either. Please advise if you have a solution. Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
"Security rules that are created for a large number of users can be centrally stored on a server by an administrator. The administrator can use the registry values below under the registry key
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\SAP\SAPGUI Front\SAP Frontend Server\Security]
to configure the behavior of the security module.
Note: For 64 bit operating systems please use the following registry key
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\SAP\SAPGUI Front\SAP Frontend Server\Security]
to configure the behavior of the security module."
You can use regedit for installing this values.

  • How do I change the location of my downloads?

    Hi there,
I've recently changed the location of my music to external device but as i download it saves onto my laptop then i spend a lot of time transferring to external harddrive then back into itunes. is there a way to just enable me to download into a folder on my external hardrive?
    Cheers Boffins.

    Hi
If you're referring to downloads via Safari, connect your external drive to your laptop, then go back to Safari. There, open Safari Preferences>General panel. There, click on the drop down menu next to "save download files to", select "other" and navigate to your external location and click on "select".
Important your external is connected to the laptop when you are downloading a file, otherwise, Safari may hang as it looks for the external location.

  • Why did my music download location change?

All of my music is stored in D:\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Music\
When I download new songs now, artist and album folders are being created in D:\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\ which is my iTunes Media folder location in the settings.
My mobile applications are being stored in D:\Music\iTunes\Mobile Applications\
So my question is, why are new music downloads all of a sudden being placed in D:\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\? Did Apple change the location where they are placed? Should I move all of my existing music in that folder?

    Hey COtto1984,
Thanks for the question. iTunes should default to the iTunes Media folder organization, as outlined in this resource:
    iTunes: Understanding iTunes Media Organization
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3847
In iTunes 9 and later, the iTunes folder is organized as follows, with iTunes Media organization arranging your content into folders related to the content:
    - iTunes
              - iTunes Media
                        - Music
If you find that it is not defaulting to this organization, you can check to make sure your iTunes Media folder location is correct in your advanced preferences:
Where are my iTunes files located?
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1391
    Thanks,
    Matt M.
