Change DW CS4 Windows to Mac edition

Hi
I have Dreamweaver CS4 Student Edition for Windows but recently got a Mac. Is there a way of deactivating my Windows install and doing something that allows me to use the same Dreamweaver on the Mac instead?

You'll have to call Adobe Customer Service to discuss potential crossgrade options.
However, I'll be surprised if they crossgrade CS4 given that CS5 is the current version.
I suspect they'll tell you to upgrade CS4 Win to CS5 Mac.

One of my friends is going to buy a imac computer and his old computer was a PC under windows seven with adobe CS4 web premium student edition.
is it possible to change the CS4 windows licence to a mac licence?
We have to pay something to do this?

Change plattform from windows to mac teacher edition photoshop elements/premier elements

Hi!
I want just want to change plattform, Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 & Adobe Premiere Elements 13 Student and Teacher Edition (Windows,Svenska).
I´ve ordered Windows but i want the macversion.
Does anybody know why the adobe support takes soon long time to fix this small thing. I haven't downloaded the program.
Is this normal ??? Has anyone else experienced the same thing?

Svea support the license for Photoshop and Premiere Elements 13 is a multi platform license. Have you downloaded the installation files and ran the installation with the serial number you received?

Changement d'ordinateur windows vers mac et changement de stockage

Bonjours Il est vrais que je ne suis pas très doué en informatique.
Comme indiqué j'ai changé d'ordinateur windows vers mac OS lion ok. J'ai installé mon lightroom 3 OK.
J'avais mons tockage des photos sur deux disques durs externes 1 de 1to et 1 de 500go sur le 1 to est stocké en plus, d'une partie des photos, mon catalogue
Problème j'ai le catalogue, j'ai les photos, mais pas les deux réunis
le catalogue ne récupère pas l'emplacement des photos qui à changé ce que je comprend.
Comment faire SVP pour que le catalogue, avec les métadonnées et les mots clefs récupère, le nouvel emplacement des photos.

Comme ce forum est en anglais on obtient beaucoup plus vite des réactions quand on pose la question en anglais.
Je m'imagine que vous arrivez à ouvrir le catalogue .
Est-ce que vous voyez des points d'interrogation devant vos dossiers?
Si c'est le cas , clicquez ce dossier avec la souris et choissisez "Trouver dossier manquant" ou qq chose comme ça (traduit de l'anglais).
Et indiquez où les images se trouvent actuellement
Le mieux c'est de faire cela avec le dossier "Images" qui contient tout les autres dossiers images. ( le plus haut dans la structure des dossiers Images)

Possible to change from CS3 Windows to Mac?

I bought an imac recently, it has CS3 Master collection pre-installed (updatable and working as it should), it's just that it's the windows version and I'm running it through Parallels 3. Would it be possible that Adobe would allow me to change the version to a Mac version??? so i can run it from Leopard??
I have contacted technical support about this 4 days ago, but are yet to reply.

I read their eBay Web page.

I'll be polite. These guys are out-and-out pirates -- they're actually admitting it! NO legitimate dealer does this B.S. story. If a legitimate dealer sells you or bundles software and installs it for you, they always give you the ORIGINAL factory disks, manuals or quick-start guides, serial numbers, and registration paperwork for you to file.
Plain and simple, you were ripped off. No telling how many other unsuspecting folks (most likely Windows users) were robbed as well.
My recommendation: Please report them immediately to eBay, to Adobe ([email protected]), and law enforcement in their UK jurisdiction. If they have a business license, they should have it revoked. And, by the way, be sure to get your money back.
I'm telling you, if you call Adobe for the crossgrade, you're likely to be very unhappy with their response.
The lesson here is: if a deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

to my knowledge there is another possibility: You can get a "crossgrade" means Adobe is able to convert your license to a Mac license and sends you the new installation media. You have to pay only the disk and a small 'fee' for Adobe's administrative work. It might be worth trying.
Please contact Adobe, in this case I would use Phone support | Orders, returns exchanges or international Adobe Connect Support phone numbers or
Contact Customer Care.

Serial Number invalid for cs5.5 subscription edition--changed platform (from Windows to MAC OS)

I renewed my subscription for the Web Design Premium edition, but I'm working on a MAC instead of the Windows edition. I tried to enter the serial number I was given but it doesn't work. I need my software to work today (Sunday). Please help!!

You will have to order an Adobe Cross Platform Swap to use your software on an OS different from the one that you purchased it for. For more details, see the document Order an Adobe product platform swap or language swap. If your need to use the software is real urgent, I'd recommend that you install a trial version till you get your serial number from Adobe.

I am having problems sncing my iphone4 with i tunes. I have just changed from a windows to mac and from cable sync to iCloud. All works from imac to iPhone. but from phone to imac only partially works.

I canged name of calender on iphone and it has changed on the imac. But none of my previous entries or new entries are going to the iphone. If I add on icloud then the entry goes to both phone and imac. I have tried taking calendar off icloud and saving to phone and then reinstating and merging, but nothing changes. My contacts seems to be working fine. That also previously was synced by cable.

WMA files are 'window media audio' files, which is a Microsoft format. If you want to add them to your iTunes library on your Mac then you will need to convert them into a compatible format first. If you still have your windows machine then iTunes for Windows can convert them from WMA to MP3 format : https://discussions.apple.com/message/24158701#24158701
Or try a search for, for example, 'convert wma to mp3' to find programs to convert them.

Can't open my .psd file using CS4 windows XP & Mac OSX

I am using photoshop CS4 on windows XP I cannot open my file. the message reads: Could not complete your request because the version is not compatible with this version of photoshop.
I did open the file on my mac OSX CS4 as well to try to use some of the fonts installed there. Now the file will not open on either platform. Are there known issues with crossing platforms? I believe the files were always universal before?

There is normally no problem.
You failed to mention what format the file had.
If fonts are missing, it should still open with an error message about the font.

Changing language on Windows for Mac

Hi! I'm from Russia and I am going to buy Mac in Germany and Windows for it. Will it be possible to change the language of Windows to Russian from German??? Is it easy???

W7 Ultimate is the only version that lets you select the language. Here in Portugal if you purchase a computer the shop will change the language of W7, any version, from Portuguese to any other language.
They have extracted the utility from Ultimate and use that to do it.
Probably frowned upon by Microsoft but it works OK. I believe Microsft only let them sell the language of the country but this gets round it for the buyer.

You do not need a new license or a new serial number. Just download the Mac version and use your existing serial number.

Changing ipod from windows to Mac

I am having a lot of trouble for my new mac computer to recgnize my old ipod that was formatted in windows. Do you know how to do this so that i can later recover the music that i previously had saved there and pass it on to my mac?

Not to Hijack this thread, but I have some questions as I am going through the same issue. Here are my questions:
- i was looking on the website and It gave instructions to reset and upgrade. This would wipe the ipod and reinstall the software. If I do this on a PC can i load it (the ipod) with MAC software?
- My songs are currently backed up on an external PC HD. if I were to burn them as MP3 files from that PC hard drive will my G4 be able to read them?

Changing iPod from Windows to Mac without losing music?

I have a mini that was always used on my PC with Windows. My computer was stolen while I was out of town, and I took it as a sign to finally upgrade to a Mac. I still have my iPod, and I want to use it on my new iMac, but the iPod was formatted to work with Windows.
I know I can restore my iPod, but is there anyway that I can keep from losing all the music I already have on there? How exactly do those transfer programs work, and would they work in my situation? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

technically your ipod should still be usable with the mac. You can put the ipod into whats called manual mode. This way the ipod will retain the music and you can use the ipod with your mac. You just wouldn't be able to use the auto sync feature. go to this site http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61148 that will tell you how to select that option. As far as getting music that is not purchased from itunes from the ipod to the computer i am not an expert at that so i really dont have any suggestions other than i know it can be done. If you could find a good transfer program im sure it would be simple enough to move the music onto the mac then restore the ipod and load the songs back up.

I had legaly bought Adobe Photoshop CS4 (11.0) DVS/A, PHSP, WIN, GEN, MUL,CZ/HU/PL/RO. Its be possible can I change license from Windows to Mac OS X. Because i was change Computers. Old windows computer was burn processor and I was bought Apple Macbook Pro. And i can now use that photoshop. I dont want use WMvare,Oracle virtual box or other.

It's no good arguing with us, we don't make the rules and don't work for Adobe.
In general when you change between Windows and Mac you should budget for re-buying all software, though you can be lucky with some.
