Change email "from" display

Is there any way for me to change how an incoming email is displayed on my phone? If so, I can't seem to figure it out.
I have two different email accounts set up, and when an email comes in, I will quickly delete any SPAM or unrecognized email addresses. Typically, I will delete several at a time first thing in the morning, for the junk that came in overnight. I have accidentally deleted ones I shouldn't have, because I didn't realize it was a work contact.
Say I have a client, John Smith. His email is [email protected] and when an email comes from him, it will say John Smith or however he's got it set up, I guess. Sometimes I will get an email from his coworker, Larry Jones, but Larry's email is not [email protected], it's [email protected]
When I look at that quickly, especially if it's truncated at the end, I don't realize it's not junk. In my contacts, I have Larry's email, and I have the contact set as Larry Jones. How do I get it to display "Larry Jones" instead of "L123JoJo1941..."
This works for phone numbers, so it should work for email, right? Like, if Larry calls me, it doesn't display the call as being from "(404) 555-6543," it displays as "Larry Jones."
If this is easy to do, and I'm missing it, please point me in the right direction. Thanks!

Changed email from pop to imap in entourage 2008 and apple mail and have lost a lot of messages. I am a rookie and don't know what to do to correct the situation

I found this great set of mail AppleScripts:

It includes one script to delete duplicate messages. So if we can't find a way to do this right, then I'll just download all the duplicates then delete them. Of course I don't want to actually do that, lets call this the nuclear option.
So can anyone think of a way to make an IMAP account for my gmail without it downloading all the messages again that I have already downloaded?

How to change email "From" field???

New to blackberry. I would like to know how I can change the "From" field when you send an email from the phone to a name or email address I want it to say.
Here is my email situation:
My email address is ''[email protected]" (which i purchased) and anbody who sends an email to me gets forwarded to my yahoo email account. In yahoo I created an "alias" "[email protected]" so when I send an email, nobody sees my actual yahoo account which I want to keep private. How do I do this?
I searched in the forum but coudn't find any solutions. Thanks so much for any help.

You couldn't find any solution because there is none given your current configuration.
You're receiving your email from your Yahoo account - not your peronal domain account. It's kind of a security issue for you not to be able to forge an email address on your BlackBerry. In fact, you can't change the FROM address when replying at all on a BlackBerry. You can forward using another email address that's set up on the device, but you can't manually enter a FROM address even when forwarding.
First thing to do is to set up your personal email account through your BIS setup.
Once you've done that, you can either stop forwarding your personal email to your Yahoo account, OR filter your personal email to NOT be forwarded to your device through your Yahoo BIS setup, OR have your personal email filtered on your Yahoo account and delivered to a folder other than the Inbox and it shouldn't be seen by your BIS setup.

How do I change email from junk to not junk

How do I convince my MacBook Pro that some of the mail it has put into the spam or junk file, isn't? On my PC there was a button to click on that read "not junk". I don't see one now, and so I have to waste my time going through files everyday retrieving emails that are not in the correct box. How do I fix this?

Otherwise, go to Preferences/Junk and choose Mark as junk mail, but leave it in my inbox. Then you will have the option to tell train the Junk Filter what is and isn't junk. When you feel that the filter has a better idea about what is Junk go back and choose Move it to the Junk mailbox again.

How do I change email from Exchange to webmail?

When I installed 10.6 I tried to setup my email to use Microsoft Exchange. When this failed I looked deeper and saw that my company has not yet converted me to use exchange. I am still on web email.
When I bring up the Mail app it wants to automatically configure me. There is no option to Deselect "Automatically set up account". Mail Preferences is grayed out.
I can't move back and I can't move forward. What is the secret buddy was to restart the email process?

Change email from mobileme to my apple ID

How do I change my ical address FROM my Mobileme email TO my other email, which is associated with my Apple ID? I have no se for my "me.com" email and everything is associated with my Apple ID....s this possible?

Multiple people come here with the same problem, all it means that on your device that was backed up to icloud there was someone else's content. App or song or ringtone that belonged to that person's apple id account. Icloud reads those id tags that apple embedded in to content and authorizes downloads during restore from icloud backup.

Apple will not ask you to click a link in an email. They may tell you to log in to your account to reset your password. Go to https://appleid.apple.com and log in if you ever want to change any information in your profile (or your password). And do not click the link I just posted; instead enter it into a browser.
You can verify the devices assigned to your account by going to https://icloud.com/find (again, don't click it), where you can see a list of devices registered to your Apple ID.
As a general rule, you should never click a link in an email or forum post without verifying it first. You can see where it goes without clicking it in most email programs and browsers by hovering your mouse pointer over it. On an iPhone you can check where it goes by holding your finger on the link (rather than just tapping it).

Send workflow/ email notifications after changing email from log etc.

In our production system there was wrong email id in IT105 and so Work flow notification was sent to wrong email. Is there any way where I can change the email ID in the WF log and resend the workflow notification to the right emaployee from backend. Appreciate your time.

You cannot change the mail id from the log once the workflow is completed. You have come from the 1st. From SOST you cannot change the email id and resend it.

Infotype Screen control - change field from display to change

Hello,
I have a field in a custom infotype, which is showing up as only display. I want to change it so that values can be input. I checked the screen layout in se51 and found that the field is checked as input possible field. There is no entry for this infotype in T588M. I am not sure, where else should I look so that i can change to field to take the input. Please suggest.

Hello Everyone,
I checked in Module pool Program. The program is written to check the field for some personnel areas. Now, when i did debug, I found that PSYST-werks is not read correctly. Suppose if there are 3 records in infotype 0001, its getting the first record value, not the recent record value. Any suggestions how to change the code, so that the PSYST get the recent record value?

Requested password change, email from iforgot never arrives in my inbox. The answers to the security questions don't work either.

I am trying to set up my son's new itouch message and Face Time. I made an apple id for him, but think the process got interrupted before I finished and now we can't sign into his account. I went to manage apple id, requested an email be sent to reset password (because answers to security questions don't work), it shows an email was sent, but it never shows up in his inbox or mine which is his rescue email. I tried creating a new apple id with his email, but it shows it already exists. I am not sure what to do next. Does anyone have any suggestions? Everything else is run through my iTunes account so he can have access to all the apps and music that the rest of the family has purchased/uploaded. Help please! Thanks.

Changed emails and forgot icloud Password

My family recently changed emails from Earthlink to Gmail and my Icloud account is now not letting me change emails. I seem to have forgotten my password for the icloud and every time I try to reset the password through security questions I end up resetting my Apple ID password. Is there a way I can change my main icloud email to my gmail email? Or should I just start a new icloud.

You can change your ID as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5621. After doing so, you will need to sign out, then back in with the new ID on all of the services you are using it for. For iCloud, you will need to delete the iCloud account, then sign back in. Be sure to save you photo stream photos to your camera roll before deleting the account.

Sparklebox is an educational resource site in the UK. I receive emails from them regularly.
Suddenly a couple of weeks ago they started arriving stating that they are from Hugs and Cookies XOXO which a recipe site in the USA which I subscribe to.
Can it please be changed back to reveal that they are from Sparklebox and not Hugs and Cookies XOXO?

Sorry if you think the complaints about not being able to see your question are dumb. But it makes it very difficult and after complaining for over a year my frustration is very high.
As for deleting the entry in your address book for Hugs and Cookies, it is nothing of the sort. Thunderbird uses your address book display name preferences to populate the from list.
Of the last 100 people that came here complaining that mail from one person was actually from another. Their address book entry for that person was the issue in probably 99 of them.

Change email display name????

My display name for the exhange email set up on my iphone appears wrong. I have double checked with the email provider and they say this has to be changed with apple. How do i do that?

Log into your webmail, click on Preferences (tools icon) (upper right ish). Now on the left, you click on accounts click on the account at the top (I only have one - so the details show up on the lower right) and change your from name.
Now I did stop and re-start my mail app on the ipad and it did not (yet) update the name. I am not sure when this gets done but I will be phoning shaw when I get a chance and update this post at that time.
Wish me luck. You could also set it up as a pop account. Shaw does not have the imap option like the rest of the planet (in the year of 2013!)
