Change email layout to "classic layout"? w iPad

How do we change the email layout on an iPad to the "classic layout" like you can on a new Mac Pro?

well...on all of our old Macs...5 to 6 years old...the email format shows 4 columns...
the sender...the subject...the day arrived ...the time and the account received on...
the ipad shows most of that to the left and the enlarged email to the right....we don't like that format...but perhaps we will just have to get used to it...
that seemed to be the default format on the brand new Mac Pro...until someone very knowledgeable on this web site explained the older format is available...you just need to know which buttons to push.
thanks for your help

  • Apple Mail app: how can I revert to the default layout after I changed it to the classic layout?

It's Mac OS X Mavericks. I've changed my Apple Mail app viewing style to "classic layout" in viewing/mail preference, and now I want to return back to the default layout. How can I do this?

Sorry,  you didn't mention that you had. In any case, I don't have any further suggestions as it worked as it should when I tested it.

  • Changing email attachment default viewer/editor on iPad.

When i receive emails with attachments and then click on the attachments goes to safari but then asks to open in Dropbox. I'm not given any other options. How do I get my iPad to stop this behavior? It didn't always do this.

You can delete an email account from the Mail app by tapping on the account id in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and then tapping 'Delete Account'- if that is where your contacts are coming from then when you delete the account you should get the option as to whether or not to remove the account's contacts. If multiple email accounts are still on the iPad after that then you can set the default account for new emails via Settings > Mail, Contact, Calendars > Default Account.
For Messages if the iPad is using your account then Settings > Send & Receive, tap on the id at the top of that screen and sign out of it. She can then sign in with her own account.

  • TS4002 How to change email in the account in my iPad? I forget my password and I don't have access to my email.

    Hi
How can I change the email in my iPad account? I don't have access to the email anymore and I forgot its password. I have trouble to send and receive emails and hard time to update my device.
    Thanks

The question is, did you change the email address used for your Apple ID or did you create a new Apple ID. Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple ID to another. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. So if what you really did was create a new Apple ID you will never be able to access or update your content bought with another Apple ID with a new Apple ID.

  • Changed my email address and cannot do apps updates because the changed email doesn't show on the IPad

I changed my email address and, therefore, had to apply the change to my Apple ID.  However, when I try to do apps updates on my IPad, the verification window that pops up still shows my old email address and doesn't accept any of the passwords I try to enter...

Apps are always tied to the Apple ID that you used to buy them with. You will have to use the old ID in order to update those apps. Just use the old ID and enter the password for that ID when you want to update those apps.

  • Having changed Mail in Lion to 'Classic Layout', how does one change back?

    Hi.
When I upgraded to Lion I didn't like the new layout of Mail, so I changed it back to the Snow Leopard-like 'Classic' layout.
I fancy giving the new layout another go now, so I've un-ticked Classic Layout in Preferences>Viewing, but it still doesn't look like it did when I first installed Lion, which had the two-line preview messages in a vertical column to the left of what I've always called the 'preview pane'.
What I have now is the two-line list above the preview pane.
I can find loads of tutorials on how to change the Lion Mail appearance back to Snow Leopard, but I can't find anything to do the reverse and arrange everything in vertical columns again. Nothing seems to leap out at me in Mail Preferences, and I'm a bit lost.
Can anyone please advise? I'm sure it is a dead simple thing to do, but I can't work it out...

    Cancel that...
I went back to Classic, and then came back out of it, and I had the vertical column arrangement again.
It was definitely horizontal the first time I un-ticked Classic, honest!

  • Mail: In 'classic layout' view the top header in mailboxes is grey.

    Hi,
I am using Mail (version 6.0) in it's classic layout form.
Since upgrading to OS X 10.8 I've noticed that the top header in my mailboxes is sometimes displayed in a grey font rather than in black, like the ones below it.
Not that much of a problem in itself, but if I click on the header to highlight it the font remains grey, instead of changing to white against the blue highlighting. Grey against blue renders it almost unreadable; there is no contrast.
If I click on another folder or mailbox in the left pane, then select a random messages in that, and then go back to where the grey header was, I sometimes find that the font has now changed to black and it behaves as it should when highlighted.
Is anyone else experiencing this, or is it just me? Has anyone any idea ho to cure it please?
    Cheers.

Further to the above, I've also just noticed that Mail is also sometimes adding the 'replied to' symbol, (the curved arrow thing), to message headers, even though I've not actualy replied to the messages.
Again, opening another folder, randomly clicking on messages and then returning to the problem one again will often remove the erroneous symbol.
I'm sure this must be a bug, mustn't it?

  • Mail 7.1 large attachment icon in classic layout attachment column

I was running on Mountain Lion till 2 days ago. Over the weekend, I decided to upgrade to Mavericks, which went really smooth. However, after upgrading to Mavericks, when I open Mail.app, I am seeing large attachment icon in the attachment column. My Mail.app is configured for classic layout. When I change to modern view, I don't see any problem, but I don't like working on modern view.
I have taken some snapshots and posted below. As you can see, the attachment icon size actually varies from folder to folder, which is even more odd.
Anyone seeing the similar issue? Any idea how can I fix it?
    Thanks!

in summary, here is how to fix it:
Go to Mail --> Preferences --> Fonts & Colors --> Message list font and changed it to any other font, and back to what you'd want it to be. Now notice your paperclip icon is back to normal.

  • How to change the lengths of the layout

    Hi ,
I am executing one report, output is coming fine but next if i go to print preview for PO number only 9 digits are appearing one digit is missing, actually column is trucated, there in print preview there is one tab called Change Layout, there if i see length of the PO no is 9, so its showing only 9 digits, actually length of the PO no should be 10.in change layout the length is editable i can change from 9 to 10, after that there is a button called copy, then it will show correctly, it works only one time, so each and every time user has to change the length, so can any one suggest how to change that length in the layout permanently, bcos there is no save button there.
Can any one tell me from where all these lengths are coming which are appearing in change layout.Surely its not coming from the report.

    Hi friend,
That depends upon the space provided by the ALV column for that variable or the heading size its not based on the data element size.
If you want to be more clear lust count the space available for each field available at the print preview.
The details for that are stored in table T180S just see the documentation available for that table.
And see when the table is getting filled like that so that you will be able to find a solution where and how it is getting populated.
Use column width optimization for getting the correct output.
If you have any queries in this please revert back to me i will help you.
    Thanks,
    Sri Hari

  • I changed jobs and had to change emails/Apple ID.  Before doing so, I did not save my photos from the photo stream to the camera roll.  Now, all the old pictures that are still on my iPhone are not streaming to the iPad, only new ones.  Please help.

I changed jobs and had to change email/AppleID.  Before doing so, I did not copy the pics on the photo stream of my iPad to the album and now the only pics being synce with my iPad are new pics either saved or taken on phone.  Old pics are still on phone.  There has to be a way to get these pics to be able to stream them on to iPad, right?

You have a couple of options to get them in your photo stream:
    Open the photos one at a time and take a screenshot.  This will add a new low resolution copy of the photo to the camera roll, which will then upload to your photo stream;
    Email the photos a few at a time to yourself, then save the attached photos to your camera roll.  This will add a copy of the photo at full resolution to your camera roll and upload to photo stream;
Use an app like PhotoSync, which will allow you to wirelessly transfer copies of all your old photos to your computer all at once.  Then delete these photos from your camera roll and use PhotoSync to transfer them back from your computer to your camera roll.  These will be the original resolution and will upload to your photo stream.  (You need an app like this because iTunes will not transfer photos back to your camera roll, where they must be in order to add to your photo stream.)
Or, you can add them to a shared stream and invite yourself as a subscriber (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mmc0cd7e99).  The shared stream will appear on your iPad and you can either leave things this way, or save them to the camera roll on your iPad and delete the shared stream.  They won't be in your photo stream but they will at least be on your iPad.

  • Ipad keeps requesting outlook password, trying cancel but still in cycle - can not do anything else.  NOTE - recently change email password on PC

ipad keeps requesting outlook password, trying cancel but still in cycle - can not do anything else.  NOTE - recently change email password on PC

    Try a reboot:
To reboot your iPad, hold down the sleep/wake button and the home button simultaneously until the screen goes black and the Apple logo appears. If, during this process, a slider appears on the screen to power it off, ignore it and keep holding the buttons down.
Rebooting your iPad can solve a lot of problems. Once you do that, go into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and make sure the correct, new password is entered in that account.
