How can I change the email of my iCloud account on my new Iphone 5. Under Settings-Icloud I get the message that my "Account Not Varified". The email stated in the text saying "Check your email at XXX@XXX for instructions to verify this account" id a different than my iCloud account email as well as my AppleUD. Furthermore I dont have access to this email anymore. Thanks for help in advance. Harry

Firstly, you need to change your details with Apple, Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > store, scroll down and tap your ID)

To change your iCloud ID, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the new ID. This deletes the account and your iCloud data from your device, but not from iCloud. Provided you are signing back into the same account, your iCloud data will reappear on your device when you sign back in.
To avoid losing photo stream photos, save them to your camera roll (if not already there) before deleting the account. To do this, open your my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.
To change the ID on your Mac, go to System Preferences>iCloud, sign out, choose Delete for all the prompts (your data will still be in iCloud), then sign back in with the changed ID.

I need to change the main iCloud account on my iPad. I'm merging family MobileMe accounts' contacts, and need to set up multiple devices with the main iCloud family account so we will all share photos, contacts, calendars, etc, but have separate email via personal subaccounts. I just got an iPhone6 and set it up from an iPhone4 backup. I never really used that phone for iCloud, When iCloud first launched, I used an old earthlink email but I've since updated to a gmail address on my account.and use iCloud a lot on my iPad and laptop. I literally cannot find any legitimate way to sign out of the initial iCloud account without entering a password (which neither I nor my parents know). Is there a way for me to retreive the password or change to my new account without the password?

Hello, my boyfriend connected his iphone to his cousin mac computed and it synked with his cousin icloud so he lost all his information. Even his background pictured changed and his emails accounts!! We need to know how to change back his icloud account!
When we log in to his icloud account on the computer que can not see all his contacts but yes his notes, is it possible he also lost his contacts??

The SMTP server you are using with Wi-Fi would be the outgoing server of your internet service provider... this is likely why that's working.
SMTP servers specific to a ISP would not work on the 3G network. You would probably need another SMTP server. One from your cell provider?

I do not remember it because when I bought the my iPhone 4s in 2011 I didn't understand how it works and asked a representative to set it up for me. The representative helped me and gave a piece of paper with login and password but I lost it a long time ago.
Before resetting the settings I turned off "Find my iPhone" function, but it anyway asks me to enter my old Apple ID and password. I have the original box, documents, receipt. So how can I solve this problem?

I have an old icloud account (which was attached to an old itunes account) which is now not in use. I have a new account which I use, however, my iphone (the old one a 4S and the new one a 5S) keep defaulting to the old icloud account. How can I change it - it seems stuck and, as a result, my phone and mac are not fully syncing! Any assistance would be much appreciated!

If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple ID.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

I activated an iPad for a work associate; somehow, MY Apple ID account is assigned to his iPad's iCloud backup. His iPad is using up all MY iCloud space... he IS set up in App Store with his own Apple ID.
On my own iPad (just to check out what settings/options were), i went to "Settings/iCloud: and tapped "Delete Acct". BUT, then I got a message that all Photo Stream and documents stored in iCloud would be deleted from this iPad... so, two questions...
is there ANY way for him to retrieve the documents he saved in MY iCloud account (there's 9.1g worth of HIS backup in my account!! ... i purchased extra space before i realized it was being eaten up by him and not mine).
Because he'd be logging back in under his OWN ID which had never backed up his device before......so, he'll lose everything, right?
Really need someone who KNOWS apple iOS/Cloud workings to answer this one please ... much (at least some, lol) of his data is work-related.... at 9gig, can't be all work!! must be a lot of movies, photo's and music i'd guess. as this is a WORK-issued device, so be it if he has to re-load all that................

You need at least 10.7.2, check that you do have that, 10.7 is insufficient. Post back with your OSX version.
