Change Email on Calendar Entries to One Email

I have had multiple emails on my blackberry and originally didn't notice they had their own entries in the calendar. Now I am trying to fix this and only using one email now. How can I change all my calendar entries to the one email so it can sync correctly?

I assume I would be able to get it to work if I had a good sync to my Outlook, but I don't.

Ok, I should have asked all this at the very first, sorry my fault.
Please specify the following:
PC, operating system (if vista 32 or 64)
Version of Outlook
Version of Desktop software currently installed.
Model of phone and OS
So you have only backed up your data on the BB
You hadn't used the sync application until just lately?

I am automating the process of sending appointment reminders to my clients. I started with an alert with an email in calendar using the clients email address as a custom entry in my me card in my contacts. this was resulting in three emails being sent with slightly different versions of the same address (see my previous post). Heating someone else's suggestion I created a workflow file to send an email and calling that file from an alert on my calendar. This is working and sends only one email to the client.
My calendar is on I cloud and I access it from three different computers so I can keep my appointment calendar current. The files that send the email only exist on one computer. My other computers show error messages when those emails get sent. It seems that each computer wants to send the email. It's a small problem but is there a way that I could not get those alerts.
But appreciate any thoughts about this. It seems like both problems might be related to the iCloud system.

Good work, catch so far Michael, does seem to be a "feature" of iCloud syncing, not sure what you could do to disable it.

Multiple calendar events in one email

I would like to ask if Blackberry supports to read multiple events invitation in one email.
I tried to attach two iCalendar (.ics) files, but the blackberry just picked one of the events to display as "one event", the other is missed (disappeared).
I tried to modify the iCalendar file to contain multiple events, but the blackberry just read it as "application/X-rimdevicecalendar". When I tried to open the attachment, it prompted "This attachment type cannot be viewed on your device" while Outlook can read the file and import into Outlook calendar correctly.
Does Blackberry support this? Or I need to use other format?

Can not change or delete Calendar Entries in Wiki

Hi all - thx for listening :-)
Situation:
Server OS X 10.6.8
Group Wiki with Calendar running
All users belong to the same group
All users can log in via Safari or Firefox
Wiki calendar running, worked fine over a long period
Several "calendars" (I tend to call them categories; strange wording from Apple here…) were created
Without changes to the system, single users suddenly could not make calendar entries or were able to create one and a second later when trying to change the same entry got the message: "You are not allowed to see this calendar"
We were able to ignore this for some single users for a while but now…
There are calendar entries, mostly repeated weekly dates, that can not be deleted or changed by any user. When we try to delete these, we do NOT get any "deleting from server"-status box, just a blank return to the wiki calender page.
When we try to change the dates (e.g. set a new weekday, repeat-period, category (=calender) etc) , we DO get the "deleting from server"-status box, but the time-wheel keeps on rolling for hours without any impact
What I tried out so far:
• repair permissions
• restart

Hi Fellows,
I finally found a workaround!
1. Locate /Library/CalendarServer/Documents/ and ADD local admin to permissions-list with R/W rights (I did not change the existing permissions to keep the calenderas working in the wiki
2. Transfer permissions to all files in this folder
3. locate the folder /Library/CalendarServer/Documents/calendars/__uids__/wi/ki
4. locate the folder named after the wiki in which you want to change your calenders. Inside of it, you will find subfolders with several .ICS-files.
5. Select one .ics-file and hit space to activate quicklook. quicklook will show you the name and dates of the calendar entry
6. Find the desired calendar entry by moving up/down with the arrow keys and delete it - it will dissapear in the wiki after e browser refresh.
Not really elegant but efficient if you are annoyed by looking at obsolete calendars. :-)

I need to be able to select multiple emails and foward them in one email

I have to foward emails; however, only current way is one at a time. I need to be able to select <n> emails, and then forward them to one or more people- but they want only one email with the other emails appearing in email as attached documents that they open by selecting one of the emails sent to them- need arisen as need to be reimbursed for business trip and they do not want multiple emails- only one email. I only havevan iPad and could do this crummy Outlook but can figure out how to do on iPad...

Well, just remember, this is only the second generation iPad and tablets are not really a true replacement for a fully functioning computer. As they evolve over time, more and more functionality will be built in.........

Automatically populate email text upon entry of send email screen...

Within the Account/Activity screen a user can choose More->Send_email and an empty email form is displayed to be completed.
We want to default the content via an email template in some way. Email templates are used extensively within CRM (services/marketing etc) so I wondered if there is a standard transaction which allows for an email template to be set up for a certain configuration.
Failing that, I wondered if anyone had automatically populated the email text upon entry of the screen. We need to autopopulate it with some standard text and possibly a URL with references back to the Account/Activity.

Yep I have done this before. You can either use a copy control BADI to generate the text template or use text copy determination.
The way this works is the following:
1) The activity is transaction type A
2) The e-mail is transaction type B
Setup copy control procedure with a custom routine from A->B. In your copy control routine, populate the parts of the e-mail transaction as needed.
The other option is to have a text element on the activity be generated when saving via the CRMV_EVENT framework. Then for the e-mail transaction you use a text determination procedure to read the created text over.

Can't sync email and calendar. says no standard email client

Hi guys
A few months back after a new itunes update, my fathers iphone stopped syncing calendar events from the phone, to the computer
but from computer > phone, no problems.
Well we never fixed that problem, and now he has just purchased Office 2007 (went from outlook 2002 (NOT 2003) )
And now itunes won't sync at all, it just says there is no standard email / calendar program.
But there is, we have been in the options pane in outlook and marked it as the standard program
Any one who has an idea ? what can we do?

I have tried resetting the sync history a few times, and to no avail.
I have run the diagnostic tool in itunes regarding synching. No go either.
And no, i know it wasn't supported, therefore i suggested to my dad that he should upgrade. But it did work, untill one of the recent itune patches.
But now he is running office 2007, and that should be supported
but i know, if i ask apple directly i will just get an answer that its microsofts fault

How to easily convert an email into a calendar entry?

I'd like to easily and quickly create a calendar entry from an email, copying body of the email into the Notes field and Subject of the email into the Title field.
Lotus Notes mail offers a very quick solution of that sort, populating notes and title fields as described, AND if you choose the option to copy into a "meeting" rather than "appointment" it copies To, From, and Cc's into the invitees field(s). I understand Outlook mail may offer something similar.
This would be a very handy feature to add to iPhone mail, especially for the enterprise user.

Sync email, contacts & calendar on Live, iphone, PC

I want to sync email, contacts, and calendar on my iPhone and PC just like
it did with my blackberry, but I want to use a live mail account (or gmail or
other provider if Live won't work). The iPhone web pages don't list Live email account information any more like they used to. So I'm not sure what is going on with Live email and the iPhone.
I have an iPhone 2G (just today updated to OS 3.1) with the data plan. I have a Live mail account that I'll be using if possible. I currently have the updated contact list and calendar file that I want to use in Outlook 2003 on my XP desktop computer. I want to PUSH these items onto the iPhone because they have been painfully updated (from multiple accounts from multiple pc and phone upgrades). I want to continue using Outlook on the PC if possible, but want to migrate to using my notebook (that I plan to upgrade from Vista to Win7). I want the messages to dowload to the hard drive on the notebook for archival.
I know I should upgrade the Vista machine to Win7 before I start trying to
sync these 3 devices/areas (2 devices and 1 cloud??? ;-)). Once that is accomplished, I want to sync the notebook (outlook email and calendar and contacts) with the iphone (email, contacts, calendar) and Live (email, contacts, calendar). Will opened email show as "read" on the other devices at next logon? Will calendar updates work properly from any location and propagate to the other devices? Same for Contacts: can I change one anywhere and have it properly update at the other two locations? What about deleting email messages (or contacts, or calendar items), can it be done from any of the 3 and propagate to the the other 2?
Can it be done? How?

Google does not support Push access for recieved messages when accessing the account as an IMAP account.
Google does support Push access for recieved messages when accessing the account as an Exchange account, but Exchange/ActiveSync is a new protocol for Google.
I have no idea about service interruptions with a Gmail account, but since Exchange/ActiveSync is a new protocol for Google and still considered a Beta I believe, there are bound to be issues from time to time while Google gets the bugs worked out.
The iPhone supports Push access for recieved messages with email account providers that provide/support Push access. The iPhone also supports Fetch access with an option for automatically checking for new messages every 15 minutes, every 30 minutes, or every hour. With an account that supports Push access, you can enable or disable Push access, automatically check the account for new messages, or manually check for new messages.
Nothing personal, but what is the big deal about Push access for recieved messages? What sort of important email do you regularly recieve that must be pushed to the iPhone the instant the message is recieved at the incoming mail server - along with every other message the instant they are recieved at the incoming mail server? To each his/her own, but that would drive me nuts. Nothing I recieve via email is so important that it can't wait for the account to be automatically checked for new messages every 30 minutes (my setting), and I can always manually check the account for new messages in between the automatic check.
Just trying to help you save what amounts to $8.33/mo with a MobileMe account. I haven't read about on-going regular problems with accessing a Gmail account as an IMAP account. This provides for keeping all server stored mailboxes synchronized with the server with each email client used to access the account, and you can sync contacts and calendar events direct with a supported application on your computer via the iTunes sync process at no additional expense. You won't have Push access for recieved messages when accessing a Gmail account as an IMAP account, but I think you will get by A-OK having the account automatically checked for new messages along with being able to do a manual check in between the automatic check if you are expecting an email of significant importance.
And in the interim, Google may get the bugs ironed out with accessing the account as an Exchange account which you can switch to when they do - still at no charge.

Welcome to the Apple community.
Once you have created a rescue address, you cannot delete it, nor can you change it to the same address as used by your ID. There are numerous providers you can get additional email addresses from, such as Hotmail, Yahoo, Google etc etc.

Is there anyway to email a calendar entry to a contact? Something similar to 'invite attendees' in Outlook.

yaa... they will replace the drive, ya the data is lost... sorta...
I agree with the going to a local apple servce and trying the data recovery.
also you can send it to apple and request the old drive back to be sent to a "drive recovery" place... (search the net, plenty good ones out there)... or reverse, send it to the recovery place and they may send it to apple....just be careful that way and make sure apple still warr after the crack open the case.
lession here.. (ok HARD lession)... get external firewire drive and back up.. :\
