Change EQ settings in iTunes?

Hey everyone I just picked up the new 3G Shuffle and $79 apple in ear headphones and I've got to say I really love both of them. The controls are perfect for me and the sound is great. Only question I had was since this is my first shuffle, I'm wondering about changing EQ settings. I can probably select everything in my iTunes library and change them all, but I was wondering if there was way to just change the Shuffle EQ instead of the tracks?

Changing iPod settings on iTunes when iPod is not connected

You have to connect the iPod to change it's settings. If your iPod is set to update automatically you can use a keyboard command to prevent it syncing with iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer on Windows with iTunes 7 installed hold down the Control and Alt keys (or Shift + Ctrl keys in older versions). This will stop the iPod from auto-syncing with iTunes and the iPod will appear in the source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. "Unkown Error (-50)" when trying to change iPod settings via iTunes

Hello everyone.
I got an 5.5 iPod Video (30gb) for christmas and I can't update the name of the Ipod nor change the settings for music, TV shows, movies, podcasts, pictures or even reset it!
I can however sync music, tv shows, movies and pocasts (not pictures).
So I called Apple the other day and told them about my problem. The guy I was talking to told me that the only option avaible was to send the iPod to Apple and have them repair it. And so I did. It came back today with 1.2 update installed, instead of 1.2.1 which I used before I had the iPod sent for repair. The enclosed papers said that they (Apple) could not find any problems on the iPod itself and it's batterys and that "it met Apples specifications for acceptable performance, usablity and/or functionality."
Yeah well... It doesnt. I'm using a PC with Windows XP, Service Pack 2 and I have USB 2.0. I have the latest version of iTunes and I had the latest firmwire update for my Ipod (1.2.1) and it didn't work.
When I first plugged the iPod in today when it had version 1.2 installed it worked, but the next time I plugged it in.. well, it didnt work. So right now I'm using 1.2.
I've tried re-installing iTunes and restoring the iPod via both iTunes and on the iPod itself. Nothing works. Can someone here help me out?
Btw. I'm using an iPod dock.

If you want to change the category you need to change the feed, which means changing it in WordPress. You need to pick one category and, if there is one, one sub-category from the official list here:

It is possible to have further categories, though I don't know whether WordPress will allow that, but you should put the most relevant one in first.
Once you've amended it simply re-upload the feed and wait for the Store to catch up. You don't need to resubmit.

Help, I think I changed the settings in itunes and caused it to...

delete all my songs. I think I have it set up to not sync automatically. I do not want it to sync up all the time because I have been working on correcting names of songs and albums on the itunes and was charging and syncing slows down my pc. Anyway, I downloaded all of my music (last night) so I could listen to ipod while at work today and this morning I had finished correcting titles and genres and such plus added a cd and connected the ipod so that it would update everything. I'm pretty sure that I checked and everything was ok, and then disconnected (said was ok to disconnect), then I plugged ipod back in...to charge only. As I was leaving for work (battery was not fully charged) and I ejected the ipod. Got outside and all music was gone.
Any ideas what settings might have done that or what did I do wrong?
Now currently re-downloading all my songs...getting comfy for next few hours.
Second question is, say I add only one album to itunes and update the pod, will this take a long time everytime or go quicker as it is not so many song...meaning does it go through all the songs again or just the changed ones?

Double NAT appears when there are two devices both acting as routers on a network, so your modem/router is acting as one router on the network and the Time Capsule is also doing the same thing. This may....or may not....lead to some unforeseen problems.
The solution is set up the Time Capsule correctly in Bridge Mode....as your previous AirPort Extreme was set up.
The downside to doing this though, is that the Guest Network will not function correctly when the Time Capsule is setup in Bridge Mode.
The reason for this is that Apple assumes that you will be using a simple modem......not a modem/router.....with the Time Capsule.
If everything seems to be working OK despite the Double NAT message, then you might want to try simply ignoring that message, and by choosing to do in AirPort Utillity, the status light on the Time Capsule will turn to green.
Another potential solution would be to ask your Internet Service Provider to supply you with a simple modem......not a modem/router.
It is also possible that your modem/router might be able to be reconfigured to act as a simple modem....but that is a more complicated approach, which will likely require assistance from your Internet Service Provider.

How do you change certain settings on itunes?

I have already asked ths question, but I shall ask it again better explained, hopefully, incase anyone didnt understand what I meant... When I am trying to copy a song from my CD to my itunes it will only copy 7 seconds of each song... my windows media player is very slow, so I don't really want to try that, as I want to import 500 CDs, I think it is only a setting I need to change in itunes, it changed when I downloaded the neww version of itunes... Getting really frustrated now... please help me if you can... I would swear it is only a setting, though it isnt the setting changing it to MP3 etc... it is a setting which says download all the song not just 7 seconds... Unfortunately you've discovered too late how important it is to maintain an up-to-date backup of your iTunes library (and all other data of value). You could, before wiping the drive, have considered making use of a commercial data recovery service that could (albeit at considerable cost) have extracted your library from the hard disk, even if virus infected.
In the absence of that option, you will need to restore the content of your library from its original sources:
Depending on your location, you may be able to re-download any iTunes Store purchases that are still available on the Store
Likewise, most digital purchases from Amazon (including auto-rip copies of purchased CDs) should be available from the Amazon Cloud and via the Amazon Music application - the same may be true of other commercial sources for digital downloads

The specific situation that you describe regarding the music imported from your friend's external HDD suggests that either the source is badly organized and/or originates from a source other than iTunes (other media players may use alternative tags for information like artist, title, album, etc. that are not wholly consistent with how iTunes handle these). Updated latest version of itunes onto windows xp.Can't open it.The Data Execution Prevention window comes up.I have followed all the directions of changing the settings.I have updated Quicktime.Still can't open it.

If anyone is looking at this and would like to know what I did to finally get it to work, I did the following: I right click on the itunes icon on my desktop.......clicked on "run as"........made sure that it ran as administrator. This finally worked for me. Hope you all find this info helpful.

After latest update, Itunes will not open unless I allow itunes to change screen settings on my laptop. How do I stop this?

I have upgraded to the new version of Itunes 11.1 and everytime I try to open it it asks me to allow changes to be made to my computer. If i click yes it changes my screen size to 64bit so I cant see half the page. If i change the settings back to normal it works until shut down itunes and the reverts back to odd settings. I've changed the bill payer to myself but it stills says on emails that I sent that its from my mother.

In order for the "From" field to show you options on the "from" addresses available, you must set them up in the Preferences > Accounts first.
I can't show you a screen shot of the from field because I currently only have one account, so the from address used is the default. However, when I had more than one, then options will show up in your compose/reply window.

You cannot.
By Design the iPhone can Only Sync to One iTunes Library at a time.

I tried hard reset on my iPhone. I tried restarting laptop and iPhone. I tried a different laptop. I tried removing driver and reinstalling from Device Manager but did not find a driver other than "Apple Mobile Device USB Driver" under "Universal Serial Bus controllers" which I heard shouldn't be uninstalled.

Are you seeing your music listed in the iPod screen, or in Win explorer as in your earlier post?
I can see all the songs in my Edrive>al's Ipod> Ipod Control> Music folder.
A corrupted iPod database, will report zero music used, and have your music size reported as others, so you wont see the music in the iPod screen. Sorry, I thought there was some hope for you with iPodAccess, in recovery of the corrupted iPod database with your ratings.
You can try to borrow and use the Mac Disk Utility ->First Aid ->Repair.
Of course, if your iPod Hardisk is in a bad state, from the Disk Diagnostic report, then all my suggestion are futile.
