  • Changing folder icons on favorites list

i've recently moved my user folder to another HD on mac.
folders such as desktop, doc, downloads, pictures that i needed to change on favorites list now have the generical folder icon.
when i try to change the icon, the folder in the submenu appears correct but the folder docked in my favorites list on the left doesn't change.
is there a way to do this?
    thanks

Copy the icon you want to the clipboard.
Select the file/folder you want to change and do Get Info (cmd-I).
Click the file/folder icon on the Info window. It will highlight with a blue glow.
    Paste.

  • Album organization/source list question

I'm a new iPhoto user and can be somewhat 'precise' about the organization of some things. In iPhoto 4 help it tells me that I can create a new folder in the source list and that the option to do so is under the file menu. I don't see that option and would like to create folders to organize albums. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi, Jeff. It may be that you, like many other iPhoto 4 users including myself, have been inappropriately supplied (maybe by Apple's Software Update?) with the iPhoto Help file for iPhoto 5. Open iPhoto, then open iPhoto Help, and click on the "What's New in IPhoto" link. Is the blurb that appears entitled "What's new in iPhoto 5?" If so, your Help file refers to a number of features that you won't find in iPhoto 4, because they don't exist in it. One of those is the ability to organize your albums in folders. Forget it — you can't do that in iP4.
There have been quite a few posts here from people who have the wrong iPhoto Help file, and to the best of my knowledge, no one has yet figured out how it happened.

  • How to trigger Material CIF change pointers when changing Source List

I need to trigger a Material Change pointer (CIFMAT) creation when the Source List is updated for that material.  In BD52 (ALE configuration) table EORD is not an option for CIFMAT message type, so by standard ALE this can not be done automatically.  I could not find any BAdI/Userexit which will help me to create a material master change pointer so that the Material (Product) will be sent to APO via the CIF when the Source List in R/3 is changed.

Hi , Can you please check user exit CIFMAT01 function module EXIT_SAPLCMAT_001.You can use this enhancement to influence the logic according to which material data from SAP R/3 is mapped to APO product interface data.
I suggest to put logic in user exit to check table source list table EORD changes & trigger CIF for material master. You can pull  change data from table CDPOS using EORD table reference & material object value details.
Based on change record CIF user exist should trigger material CIF run and feed to APO.
Hope this solution will work in your case.thanks

  • Vendor change - info record/source list

    Hi,
I need help with the following please: Lets say a vendor goes out of business, is there a quick way to have all of their material directed to another vendor? Or must I create new inforecords and change sourcelists?
    Thanks,
    Rob

    hi,
If you have any of the reference docuements made for the current vendor, then yes ofcourse you have to make the changes in it:
You have to make changes in:
    1. Doc like schedule agreement, contract, PR, PIR etc....you can have to change your vendor here....
    2. change the source list as per the new vendor....
    And then generate the PO....
    OR
You can have the Partner functions:
So that you can deliver the materials to the other one....and you can can pay on the given bank account...
ie. you can change the bank account in VMR....
But this is possible if you can have the same vendor name.....
    Hope it helps...

  • Mass change in PIR, Source list

    Hi Gurus,
If there is something wrong in a large number of PIRs, sourcelists, is there any way to change them on a mass scale, rather than going to each and every PIR and changing them manually?

  • KM How to Change Sandard Folder Symbols to Images

    Hi
I try to change the stanadard folder symbols on a km repository directory to specific images or symbols. Is it possible to set up a folder layout that looks like the thumbnails layout. I changed the Resource Renderer Settings or try to add additional properties but it doesn't works.
Is there anybody with experience in layout design configuration
    thank you in advance
    Michael

    Hi Michael,
Just to place the name under the image you can write in the displayed properties of the collection renderer something like that:
    <i>rnd:thumbnail(width=160/height=160/alignLeft/contentLink/alignBaseline),rnd:displayname(contentLink/[2;1])+rnd:action</i>
    <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/87/3d48475ee8bd448c4031aa98d90524/frameset.htm">Collection Renderer Settings</a>
However, to create a true thumbnails display you should advance copy ConsumerThumbnailExplorer and play with it a little to achieve your gole.
    for example:
In the copy of ConsumerThumbnailAlignRenderer you can change Row Spacing and Column spacing. Also you can set Folders Selection and Links Selection to all, and in the copy of ConsumerThumbnailTaxonomyRenderer change Folders Selection and Links Selection and Files Selection to off that way you get a simple breadcrumb on top and a thumbnails display on the bottom that displays files folders and links all together.
Let me know if you need more help,
    Best regards,

  • Maintain/ change Source list

    Hi ,
I am in process of creation of Source List.
I have entered two suppliers for a material in source list , Info record is available for one supplier - material combination but for another supplier , info record is not maintained.
System allowed me save both the records time but if I try to make changes by making second vendor (for which info record is not available) as fixed vendor , system is prompting me an Error message
"Info record for vendor 900052 and material 50000311 does not exist.Message no. 06341
    Diagnosis
A prerequisite for a source list record or a quota arrangement item is an info record. The system was not able to find an info record for the vendor, material and plant."
So does it mean it is mandatory to have info records to make a vendor fixed source vendor ONLY or for non fixed vendors also , this condition is manadtory.
    Regards
    Sandeep marwha

    hi,
it is confirmed thet if you make any vendor fixed in SL then it is compulsory to maintain info record.

  • Mass Change of Source List

    Hi,
Our requirement is to Mass change of Source list.
The field to be changed is to remove the MRP relevant Indicator from Sourcelist.
    How to do as mass?
    Vengat

    Hi
As there is no standard t.code for Mass changes to Source list in sap, your requirement can be acheived by
    1. Creating a ABAP program with the help of ABPERS
2.If you know LSMW creation .. create a LSMW for Sourcelist creation giving the inputs as Material , Vendor and MRP indicator.
Take all the info records Material & Vendor from the table EORD.
Put them in the excel sheet and leave the field AUTET (MRP indicator) blank in the upload format.
Run the LSMW for all the records
while using the second option, test intially for few records and once its good go for all the records

  • Photos tab is not selectable in the source list iPod nano

    Dear all,
Could you please help me out? I want to import photos on my iPod nano (3rd generation). I want to do this by dragging a folder to the iPod in the sources list in iTunes, but I do not succeed.
The 'photos' tab does not appear when I collapse the 'iPod' in the source list in iTunes. What is wrong?
Thank you for your answer (in advance.)

*I want to do this by dragging a folder to the iPod in the sources list in iTunes, but I do not succeed.*
You can't add photos the same way as you add music, you have to choose the folder in the photos tab.
The 'photos' tab does not appear when I collapse the 'iPod' in the source list in iTunes. What is wrong?
The photos tab isn't in the source list, it's one of the preference tabs that appear in the main window when you click on the iPod icon in the source list.
Here's a simple "How To" on downloading photos from a folder on your hard disk to an iPod:
1 Create a folder on your hard drive to hold the photos you want on your iPod. Call it iPod Photos for example
2 Drag the photos you want from your usual picture folder into the folder you just created
2 Open iTunes, select your iPod in the iTunes Source list.
3 Click the Photos tab and select “Synch photos from.”
4 Choose “Choose Folder” from the pop-up menu and select the iPod photos folder you created.
On a small device like the 2GB Nano I would tend to leave the "Include Full Resolution photos" box unchecked as these will take up a lot of space on the iPod and are only useful if you want to copy photos from one computer to another. iTunes will add "optimised", small TV quality versions of the photos to the iPod for you to view.
iTunes will add "optimised", small TV quality versions of the photos to the iPod for you to view. if you want to include full size photos so you can move them from one computer to another check the "Include Full Resolution photos" box. When you want to change the photos on the iPod you simply add or remove the photos you want from your iPod Photos folder and sync the iPod.

  • Should/can the install script included in source=() list?

    Hi,
It is a good thing that the sources needed to build a package are md5summed for integrity, but in most packages the install script is not. I was thinking why this might be - the PKGBUILD can be expected to modify the script?
So to try, in one of my packages I added the install script to the source=() list. The package builds of course just fine. Then, however, if I want to upload it to AUR, I try to make a source-only package with "makepkg --source", which brakes with something like this:
ln: creating symbolic link `/tmp/foo/srclinks.YjYgQ8XlE/foo/foo.install': File exists
This is because makepkg tries to create a 2 symbolic links with the same filename: one link for the "foo.install" in the source=() list and also for the install=() list....
Is this deliberate, or a bug? Looks more like a bug to me, but thought I better ask first....
    Cheers,
    Greg

It might be completely internal to the pacman but defines actions taken on the system - thus whatever is in .install has effects just like the rest of the files, maybe even more: the other files are just copied, the .install is executed.
And while it might never get installed on the system, it's internals are - how else one could define a "post_uninstall()" if it wasn't stored? Being pacman developer you know much more about this than I do, can you give a bit of info on that?
Right it is installed to pacman database, but again, it is pacman doing all that.
Fair enough.... The detail, however, that is not installed does not preempt checksumming. Eg. patches are also: 1) used for the package, 2) not installed, and 3) still in the checksum....
    shining wrote:
All I'm trying to get to, is there any serious reason (technical, not philosophical) NOT to checksum the install script as well?  Because I'm yet to see any valid arguments against it, and there are loads for it....
Taking your example from kernel26 :
    -i $startdir/kernel26.install
    -i ${pkgdir}/etc/mkinitcpio.d/${pkgname}.preset
Note that the scriptlet edited is the original one in $startdir , because that's the only place where it needs to be, from the packager pov.
While for the preset file, it needs to be copied to $pkgdir and it is edited there.
If you had a checksum for the scriptlet, it would also mean that makepkg -g output could be altered after running makepkg. Very weird..
Ok, this is indeed the case. But if you look at real packages, it seems that after the package is compiled, many times they update the PKGBUILD with the new md5sum values. Again: core/kernel26.
That .install update section in the PKGBUILD is then relegated to a "helper function" role that keep the information in sync when there's a new release, but as the PKGBUILD is distributed, it won't change anything in the .install anymore...
Thus, again, there's no real difference between the .install files and other files used as source.
shining wrote:Btw the whole scriptlet file could be created entirely from the pkgbuild build function.
Sure, and that's a great thing! I actually wondered why so many packages have separate .install when it can be done in the PKGBUILD. Thought it might be some convention, but probably just habit.... I prefer doing it in the PKGBUILD as well, whenever possible...
shining wrote:There might be ways to fix that, though I don't even see any good ones. But why bother ? You said there are loads of valid arguments to have it , but you didn't even give one !
On the other hand, I'm yet to find any of your rebuttals that are not rebutted here again...
shining wrote:What are you worried about here ? Security ? If you think adding a checksum for the install file is going to give you any security, you are badly fooling yourself. If someone is distributing a malicious pkgbuild, it can contain the md5sum of the malicious scriptlet which is shipped with it.
I think you misunderstood me. I'm not complaining, but inquiring. The PKGBUILD system is awesome, and it makes me search out programs that I use but not in the repo/AUR so that I can make a new package. But also, I'm interested in the "how" and "why", and hope to improve things if possible. Now, to me it seems theres an unreasonable distinction to checksum some files needed for a package but not all of them. And thus I set out to ask the elders here on the Forum to see whether someone can shed light on the reasons of the current state. Not trying to piss of anybody, but being interested.
Of course the md5sum is not security, it's a help, nothing more.
As an example: some time ago, there was a package in the community (thus managed by TUs) that had an update. I wanted to check out something in the package, got the PKGBUILD and tried to make it myself - md5sum says that the sources are incorrect.... Obviously something must have gone very bad, because the md5sum field was updated according to the SVN, the package is available on pacman thus it had to build, and the sources used in the package have not been changed for a while so that cannot be a problem....
I've got a package from a trusted source and it is broken, the md5sum told me. So the breakage can be the very same way in the install script, why is the md5sum not allowed to tell me that?
shining wrote:The only security for pkgbuilds is yourself. When you get one from a strange place, you MUST read the pkgbuild/install files.
Of course, never argued against it. But there are different layers of verbosity....
    Anyway....

  • IWeb Source List

In the iWeb source list, why is my first site show a blue .mac icon ball, and the other 2 sites designated with the same icon... but its color is red?

    Gary ,
After some further investigating in these forums, I think you're 1/2 right. My 2nd site has already been published, but here's what I found if you make further changes to ANY sites you may have published in iWeb:
"when the icons change to red, this means that you have 'made changes' to those pages, and upon resaving/republishing..just the 'red' ones get uploaded to .mac
If publishing to a local folder, all files get re 'published' so it doesn't have any meaning, only if using .mac

  • Doesn't Stay in Source List

The nano doesn't stay in the iTunes source list, so I can only mess around with the settings while it's connected. With previous iPods the icon and options remained even when the iPod was disconnected. Am I missing an option box, or did they change something in iTunes 5?

I remember this feature being available only for the iPod Shuffle, and not any of the other iPods.
