Change form in existing KE30 report

I would like to know if there is a way to assign a different form to the existing KE30 report.

Here is the scenario:
Report A has Form A assigned to it
I created Report B by copying Report A.
However, when I copied from Report A, Form A that is assigned to Report A has populated in Report B.
I want Form B in Report B and not Form A.
Is there a way to create Report B by copying Report A and assigning Form B
Any reply would be hepful and rewarded. Thanks a lot.

Several CRUDLs again: App from existing table Form on table with report?

Hi,
I posted a message a couple of days ago, asking if it was possible to automatically generate several CRUDL gui patterns per application. Later I answer myself discovering that the "Form on table with report" option for creating a page, make just that.
However, I can see that the option for application level CRUDL (app from existing table) has more functionality (search, export to excel, data analysis, even charts, cool ;-). It creates about 10 pages per table, contrasting with the two created by the "Form on table with report" option. I thought that "Report with form" could be the answer, but it seems just another link to the same option.
So, once again: is possible to call the functionality of "App from existing table", several times within the same application? (of course each time is likely to refer a distinct table). How do I insistently ask for this? Well, cause I can see in my horizon many applications what will entirely consist of table-maintenance services ... so, with htmldb I could generate them very fast!. In fact, once I have toasted my crudl pattern I would even like to save it and generate the applications on a non interactive basis (maybe calling something in pl/sql?, command line?) ... is that possible?

functionality was available in 1.6. In 2.0, the
Create Application wizard has changed. But you can
create as many sets of pages in the same application
as you need, all on different tables, using the
patterns available in that wizard. You can also
supplement those generated pages later by creating
chart pages or whatever else you need.Mmm?, ups ... them am I running the 1.6 version? I installed it from the companion cd. Ok, I'll try the separately distributed htmldb version. Thanks.

KE30 report header text change

Hi All,
Kindly note that we have requirement in KE30(profitability report) where the client wants to see the posting date and period for which the report is ran in the header.Right now we can see the current data i.e the date on which report is generated.
in brief:
Currently
header data: the date on which the report is ran.(report run date)
Expected
Header: posting period and date for which report is run.
Please provide some information as to how do we move with the changes.

Char PERIO is available in KE30 reports which is in the format MMM.YYYY
In your header text, use "Selection Parameters" and insert PERIO... you can write the header text as below
You have executed this report for period from "Per1" to "Per 2" for the company code "BUKRS1"
Where Per1 and Per 2 and BUKRS1 are the variables taht you used in your report definition

How to Delete KE30 Reports and Forms?

I want to delete some KE30 reports and forms associated with them. The QA and PRD environment are in synch in regards to the number of reports, but Dev environment is not in synch with the QA or PRD system. What would be the best to do in this case? Can we delete these reports directly in the PRD system? If that is possible, I can first delete these reports in QA and then same reports in PRD so the two boxes remain in synch.

Hi,
You can delete in each client independently. But, normally in Production client you will not have authorization to delete. Best business practice is to develop the report in Dev and then transport to QA > PRD.
As your development box is not in sync with the other two boxes, probably, in your system the reports are directly created in Production client.

MCRM_SETTINGS report cant change the already existing consumer

Hi Middleware gurus,
I have a problem in setting up of CRM middleware setup with ECC . The scenario is ECC is connected to CRM already and data is transferred, so as a result of that for all the objects in CRM the default consumer is CRM. And now due to some requirements , i want to connect this same CRM system to another ECC and so the requirement is to change this already existing default consumer to a new consumer as per the new ECC system.
SO, I ran the report MCRM_SETTINGS to change the consumer but the result says- the object is already a consumer.
So, now the question is - cant i over write the already existing consume to a new consumer...

In case you want to connect 1 CRM to 2 ECC systems, you'd be following a MEP(Multiple Exchange Projects) scenario and not a MCRM setting so MCRM_SETTINGS won't be useful here.
Or do you want to disconnect the first ECC and connect a new ECC to the same CRM?

Only query on existing form without any changes on the existing records?

I am working a brand new form. The form is able to query all the records from the table. However, when I leave the form, it will ask me "Do you want to save the changes you have made?" everytime. I didn't make any changes on the existing records.
My form only has 2 fields (one with LOV and one without).
Does anyone know what went wrong?

How do you populate your datablock? Do you query one of your values in a Post-Query trigger?
However you are populating your datablock, Forms is detecting that the status of the Form, Block or Record is changing.
Also, please let us know your Forms version.

GL accounts are not mapped to COPA value fields directly. The cost elements in cost component structure is mapped to the COPA value fields. Other expenses (overheads) are assessed to COPA throuth assessment cycle which transfers the costs to COPA. Revenue is directly transferred from SD where condition types are mapped to value fields. Go through all the settings and figure out which cost element and revenue field is not mapped to COPA and work accordingly.

Ora-20001 when creating a form on table with report (bug?)

Having some trouble creating a "Form on table with report".
1) I pick my table
2) take most of the defaults on the page where you pick the report type (interactive) and the page number (I changed it to 950). next->
3) Do not use tabs. Next->
4) Select all columns for the report. THEN (here's the problem) set an optional where clause of system_role_name like 'ODPSPOPUP%'. Next->
5) choose standard edit link. next->
6) Specify a page of 951 for the form (leave others defaults). next->
7) Set the form primary key (defined in table). next->
8) use existing trigger. next->
9) choose all columns for the form. next->
10) Leave actions to insert, update, delete. next->
11) Get to the summary page and click Finish
Then I get an error page saying:
ORA-20001: Unable to create query and update page. ORA-20001: Unable to create query and update page. ORA-00933: SQL command not properly ended
If I go back to step 4 and erase my where clause the wizard completes successfully.
Also if I change the report type in step 2 from the default of "Interactive" to "Classic" the wizard completes successfully. However upon running the report I get a query parse error. Looks like the where clause in the report sql is: system_role_name like ''ODPSPOPUP%'' (two single quotes on each side).
It looks as if you cannot specify a where clause with a quoted string. The wizard is expecting a bind variable.
Workaround(s):
1) Don't specify a where clause when report type = Interactive in "create form on table with report" wizard.
or
2) Specify a bogus where clause using bind variable syntax such as "system_role_name like :BOGUSVARIABLE". Then edit the report query once the wizard finishes and change the where clause to the constant string you wanted to use in the wizard (e.g. "system_role_name like 'MYSYSTEM%'")

KER1-Changes not update in KE30

Hi folks,
i have sa problem with KER1.
I have done a change on existing key figure scheme. I have added in a element formula 5010 a new element 9002. Now the formula is 9001+9002.
I have saved, now i want to now why in KE30 i don't see any changes, of course in KE35 there is a row that contains the field name 5010 and there are no restriction in selected characteristics.
There is something that i have to generate seperately?
i have tryed to generate the report from ke32 but nothing changes.
please give me an idea.

Kindly regenerate the report using KEMO. This will solve your issue and bring the changes in KER1 into the report.

Can not change the field property - 10gR2 reports crashing on Linux :(

All I want to do, is to change one field's property from NUMBER to DATE in the property palette. It does not allow me to do it (not east like forms). I can not change the field property - 10gR2 reports keep crashing on Linux :(
I don't know if this is a Linux specific iDS issue, or a generic one.
What are the proper steps to change one field (in my query, the field name is ptime, it was defined as a number field originally, and now I need to change it to DATE and apply the proper format mask). The matching database field definition was modified from number to date.
very frustrating...

nop, did not change anything in the select statement at all. Just selected the related query under the data model (in the navigator), then selected the related query from within the property panel, connected to the db, then from the related navigor menu selected compile all, when the related query was highlighted (selected). Then I saved it, checked the groups, and bingo - the datatype was changed from number to date. Then I went to the related object under the page layout and applied the format mask (that was another funny story). And it worked. It is not as flexible as the forms for sure - pain in the a.. And I still don't know why Reports Builder keeps crashing on Linux - have no problems with Forms Developer on Linux at all. It is a certified RH platform with all the required libs, rpms, etc installed. I am certain it is not an installation issue. Maybe I should check Metalink and apply if an iDS 10gR2 patch exists for reports.

Forms 3.0 and Reports 1.5

Hi everyone,
Will forms 3.0 and reports 1.5 work with Oracle 8.x.
If yes then how is it done.
If no then is there a way to convert forms 3.0 and reports 1.5
applications to forms 4.5 and reports 3.0 i.e. from a character
mode platform to GUI mode.

Now if you are upgrading to FORMS5 then you need to rename the
INP file to FMB and then run it through the genarator

How to suppress extra form feed for character report printing using ORARRP?

Dear All,
We are using Oracle Application Server 10g (10.1.2.0.2) on Windows 2003 Server and most of our client PC's are Windows XP Professional machines. We are migrating our existing oracle application from 2-tier architecture to 3-tier architecture (6i to 10g). We have installed ORARRP utility for remote direct printing and to a limited extent we are successfull in getting the things work out for our system users, However, we are facing a problem using the ORARRP utility for which we are not able to find a solution till date.
We have configured ORARRP utility on every user's PC and the printing of bitmap reports is working well. However, while printing CHARACTER reports using ORARRP utility, after the report gets printed, an EXTRA FORM FEED is issued by ORARRP to the printer and because of this the printer stationary skips one extra page and advances to the next page. Please note that this EXTRA FORM FEED happens only while printing a CHARACTER REPORT.
Has anyone come across such a problem using ORARRP ? How can we avoid this extra FORM FEED from CHARACTER REPORT printing using ORARRP ? Is there any other tool which supports remote direct printing just like ORARRP?
I shall be highly obliged if anyone could reply to my queries ASAP.

11.1.2.0 forms cannot connect to report server

I have a new install of 11.1.2.0 forms and reports. I am using my 10g fmb and rdf and pll files all recompiled to 11g. So, the forms, reports, plls are all coded correctly and have worked for years as 10g forms. The 11g forms run fine and so does webutil in weblogic 10.3.6. However, I cannot get the forms to call the reports. I have changed the rwserver.conf file for both the in-process and stand alone servers to point to the reports rdf/rep path. I can call reports from a url and see the report successfully run in report queue so I know the path is set correctly to the reports. I know run_report_object in the form is returning 0 (zero) and always trying to "getjobid0". The form returns frm-41212: Unable to connect to the report server. I have set my report server name in the default.env file to the in-process server. Like I said the form has worked for years as a 10g form calling reports. This has got to be a setting somewhere that I havent done. Any ideas?
