Change format so it can sync to my iphone

I have an original ipad, a iphone 4 and a 1 year old mac. i made a slide show on my imac and synced it with both my ipad and iphone 4. i have now made a new slide show and wanted to add it to both my iphone and ipad. my newest slide show made the transfer fine. but my original slide show would not resync and says its in the wrong format. I havent changed anything. anyone have any answers on how i can reformat my slideshow so it can get it back on my iphone an ipad

i have tried that - when i choose the folder its empty! however when i access the same folder from my dektop (where it is saved) its got a whole list of songs! im not sure why is it showg as empty when accessed in itunes to add to library???

My internet works fine and I have tried back dozens of times with same result.

Did you ever figure out the problem? "Contact Software Manufacturer"?? That sounds ominous... I've got the same issue and I'm pretty durn aggravated right about now....

HT1386 Recently I updated iTunes on my PC and now the "Summary" for syncing my iPhone no longer appears near the top of my iTunes Window. The Summary lists items that I can sync with my iPhone such as "Music, Photos, Apps" etc.

Recently I updated iTunes on my PC and now the "Summary" for syncing my iPhone with iTunes no longer appears near the top of my iTunes window. "Summary" lists items I can sync such as "Music, Photos, Apps", etc with drop-down boxes I can use to manage how I sync those items. An icon for my iPhone does appear near the top right corner of the iTunes window; however, when I click on the icon, the sync automatically begins and there is no display of what is syncing or how much space has been used or how much space is left for syncing music, photos, apps, etc. The new iTunes window no longer lists "Devices" on the left-hand side of the window. Has anyone had the same issue?

In iTunes go to View>Show Sidebar.

Photos on the camera roll can be included in an icloud backup from an iOS device (if camera roll is turned on). But getting the photos back from a backup is risky. Many users have performed restore operations from a backup only to discover the photos were not returned. icloud is primarily used to sync photos to other devices using photo stream - but only new photos taken after the stream is turned on in Settings>icloud will actually be synced, not old photos.
Settings>icloud>Storage & Backups>Manage Storage, tap the device's name and on the next screen, be sure Camera Roll is turned on.
IMPORTANT...
Photos should be regularly synced to a computer (like you store photos from a digital camera) using either USB via iTunes (on a mac use iPhoto or Aperture to move them to an album). You can then sync the photos to the iPad.

I imported a cd that I purchased and I can't get it to sync to my phone. All the songs have a grey circle in front of them and the names of the songs are grey as well. How do I get iTunes to see them so they can sync to my iPhone?.

In the Gen 4 they offer "Settings" then "Reset Settings" Then it asks, "Do you want to reset your iPod?" I click on "reset" but then nothing resets. :-( This is what makes me think it might be locked or something....

Outlook tasks CAN sync to your iPhone... I have a solution!

OK.. So we all are disgusted with Apple's lack of task synchronization with Outlook. The only glimpse of this functionality is Chapura's proposed KeyTasks, which costs $10 PER YEAR, and isnt even out yet!
HOWEVER, those who do NOT want to go under contract, or do NOT WANT TO WAIT for this release, I have an excellent solution... Granted, it's only useful on Windows as far as I know, but it definitely works seemlessly.
Here's the run down.. Todo app($10), Toodledo account(free), ToodledoSync(free).
You'll need to buy the "Todo" app from the appstore, as it is the only task app that provides any kind of sync capabilities.. (It's a very well put together app as well.. very iphone friendly with direct links in the tasks to go to a website, or to call someone, etc.)
Next, set up a free account with at http://www.toodledo.com and sync the account in Todo.
Then, go here: http://www.chromadrake.com/ChromaticDragon/software/ToodledoSyncInfo.aspx for the sync software between Toodledo and Outlook. You can set the program to periodically sync Outlook and Toodledo.
In Outlook, you should also disable the security setting in "Tools--> Trust Center--> Programmatic Access" and set the option to "NEVER warn"... Without this, every time ToodledoSync tries to sync you'd get an annoying warning message that a program is trying to access your email.
Well, that's that.... and let me just say "you're welcome" in advance!

Honestly, if Apple supported tasks and notes through exchange only, I would be sorely disappointed. I have no need for their MobileMe service, since I can still get my emails through Outlook and the iPhone independently.
This workaround works great for anyone without the need for MobileMe or any other exchange service.
As far as public folders, I can't help you there since I don't really know much about them. So with this, I am finally at peace with my needs, and I hope anyone that stumbles upon this would be as well..
But yes, I do think that Apple not supporting this natively is a complete load. Lol.. From a business perspective, yes apple needs to realize that they are isolating a large number of people who require more functionality in the business world. Apple plays their game very smart, VERY smart, but they like to have the control over their situation so I just think it's going to take them a bit of time. All these iPhone imitators are flooding the handheld market, yet none of them, i repeat, NONE of them come close to what the iPhone has become. Just like Apple's new commercial; the only phone that can beat the iPhone, the NEW iPhone. With the price point they're at, and the mass consumer adoption, all kinds of people own iPhones and I don't feel there will ever be a point where the iPhone reaches full market saturation until there's an iPhone in every cellular customer's hand. With that said, Apple should know that the only way to grow into the modern business customer, it needs to be fully adoptable into their work environment. Regardless, I believe Apple knows what they're doing. They're playing this game all too well to let these nuisances go unnoticed. Wow... ok, enough ranting... hahaha..

Ripping commercial DVDs protected via DRM is illegal in many countries (although not all).
Ripping a DVD you made yourself, of footage you own the copyright to (e.g. your holiday video, wedding video etc) is perfectly legal.
Handbrake will encode your own unprotected DVDs to MPEG4, but it will not "rip" commercial DVDs.

Are you talking about the Apple iPod Universal Dock? It connectors for S-Video out, audio out (with composite video) and dock connector, which you can connect an iPod AC Adaptor for charging the iPod while using it in the dock.

So I am getting the 5 next week. When it comes I will obviously transfer my backup of my 4 to the 5.
Now comes the question. A few days later when we get the old 4 switched over to my wifes number will she be able to sync her iphone on that same itunes which has all of our music and apps? Will it confuse the itunes or phones?
I know I had a problem trying to sync an old iPod Mini and my 4 a while back. So I'm trying to avoid any issues here.
Do I just need to create and keep 2 playlists?
