Change History When Importing DEV Rule Set to PRD

Does anyone know what effect importing the DEV rule set in PRD has on the change history in CC5.x? In other words, if one imports the DEV rule set into PRD, will the change history capture any changes that were made to the risks and functions during the import process?

Importing the Rules to a new environment is like creating them anew from scratch. Any new function/risk creation does not appear in the Change history at all. 'Change' only refers to modification done to the original entries.

Is there a change history for the STAT retention setting?

I've been told that the setting that controls the retention period for the STAT files is maintained by the ST03 transaction. (Export Mode / Collector and Performance DB / Workload Collector / Control Data.)
Is there any kind of change history kept on this setting, or any way to look at what this setting was in the past? We are on SAP Basis version SAPKB62061.
We had this setting originally configured to 72 hours in order to allow us a longer recovery time for problems with FireFighter activity capture. Now the setting is at 48 hours. This has actually caused us to be missing some FF activity. Had some failures on the FF Log Update job from last Friday night and when I went in to manually run the job to capture the missing FF activity, the STAT data is missing.
Need to see if I can determine who changed the setting, and when.

Logic Pro X loops not changing key when imported

Hi everyone,
I am a newbie and I have found a problem when importing Audio files (Loops) from the Loop section into a song I am working on in the project area. When I do this instead of the imported loop changing its key to fit in with the Key signature of the song I am writing it stays in its own key. For example the song I am writing is in C Major and the imported Loop is in A sharp. I have been told that when you import this loop by dragging and dropping into the project area that it should automatically change to the key of the project which of course is C Major but this is not happening and I do not know why?
When I then try to add other instruments in the key of C Major for example a bassline I discover that playing a bass line in C Major is completely out of the tune with the imported loop which is in A sharp. When I play notes from the A sharp scale over this imported loop it is perfectly in tune so its clear that for some reason the loop is not changing its key when its imported.
Any solutions for this would be greatfully received.

RA&R rules 5.3 changes compared to standard global rule set

Please can someone assist me. I need to compare a clients customised rule set to the standard rule set, and document where changes have been made. (There is no log of the changes) A client has made modifications to the rule set, we are not sure if these modifications were valid, so we need to compare these to the standard rule set. The problem is that the client has modified the "GLOBAL" rule set, so I do not have a base rule set to work from. I have looked at the initial upload files, but they are not easily compared with the current production rule set. Does anyone have any solutions as to how this could be achieved?

How the client has modified the GLOBAL Rule Set in RAR, are they just dectivated the risk from the global rule set? or deleted the risks peminately.
if they dectivated the Risks in GLOBAL Rule set, just download the Rules through utilities(Cofiguration) and check the values which are having the '0' (ZERO) values, those risks only deactivated. it is the better process to sagarigate rule set.

Completed QT movie changes format when imported into iDVD and DVD Studio

I made a few movies and I simply want them on a DVD. I convert them into QT movies and everything looks great. I filmed both movie using my Canon Vixia M30 in 60i and maximum quality. When I move the files into iDVD, it squishes the actual movie into 4:3 even though the original QT movie is 16:9 and iDVD is set up for 16:9 and the quality is horrible. I check the "Project Info" and my 3.1GB file has shrunk down to a 376MB file. I tried to put the file into DVD Studio and the same thing happened.This has happened with the last two movies I made. I'm really getting frustrated. What am I doing wrong? Help!!

A DVD uses the highly compressed MPEG2 codec. So it is impossible to have it look exactly the same.
Nothing you can do about that, the DVD video specification is strictly set out.
First of all, export from FCP. Self contained with Current Settings (same as the Timeline).
Bring that file into Compressor and apply one of the time based DVD presets that the running time of your video fits into -for example: *DVD 90 mins Best Quality 16:9*. Import the resulting MPEG2 and AC3 files into DVD Studio Pro. You must also tell DVD SP that your film is 16:9.

Named voice memos on iphone changing names when imported to mac through iTunes.

I have a lot of memos that have all been named on my iPhone. Now I'm trying to import the voice memos, but I can't seem to make the voice memos keep their original titles. When viewed through iTunes the titles are correct, but when I try and drag the files to a folder the titles are renamed to a generic date and time format. These "wrong" titles are also present when manouvering to the iTunes media folder containing the voice memos.
Is it really true that you can't make iTunes preserve the original titles?

An alternative would be to switch to manual management of your iPhone.

Pictures changing contrast when imported to final cut

Hi everyone,
I am currently shooting a commercial for a local restaurant. Iinclude video along with pictures in the commercial. Only problem that i amrunning into is when i import the pictures into my timeline the picturescontrast gets all messed.. Basically the blacks get way to black and the whitesget over exposed.
Any ideas what may be causing this?

The way that I am aware of is to use an image editing application like Photoshop.
Open in the image in Photoshop, go to the menu Image > Mode and choose RGB color. Save the converted picture and import into FCP.
If you don't have Photoshop, I have seen the application Graphic Converter praised by a number of people, it has a free trial download:

or you could Google around and see if there is something out there that will work for you.
Or, you could ask the person that suppled the images to provide them in the RGB format. CMYK is used for print, FCP works in the RGB color space and expects images to be RGB.

Change tablespaces when importing

Hi guys,
I have a exported dmp file that was originally saved under tablespace A. Now when i import the dmp file i would wish to import it into tablespace B instead.
the complicated thing is that i would like to create the tables under tablespace B and separated the indexes under tablespace C.
how can i do that?

O dont think you can separate indexes and tables while importing
Create a user assign a default tablespace then import
Crea a new tablespace .Rebuild all the indexes in the new tablespace

With 250+ machines on our school network, is there a way to turn on "clear history when firefox closes" (cache setting only) by modifying a registry key or file?

I need a way to turn ON the clearing of the cache programatically within a logon script. Kids are not clearing the cache and the roaming profiles on the Windows XP and Windows 7 machines are getting way too big to be moved across the network on every logon and logoff. Otherwise we will have to remove Firefox, which I do not want to do, nor do most of the people in the school :)

There have been some threads here about large-scale deployment, but I don't know whether they would help after Firefox has been installed.
Random thought:
I suspect (but haven't checked) that changing the "Clear Recent History" options would add corresponding entries to prefs.js in the user's profile folder. (These usually are added during Firefox shut-down.) That's just a plain text file and you could append to it by a variety of means.
It might be possible to use a VBScript during logon to update that file before the user starts Firefox. The script would have to detect the random folder name(s) in order to make the update.

Why are my digital raw files changing color when imported in photoshop and light room?

when I open my raw files in photoshop, the whites get blown out and the images have green/ yellow tint. I've tried using color sync utilities to correct the issue, but I keep getting this message when I try to repair profiles:

Can you check your configuration again? Maybe something went pear-shaped somewhere. It's located in Tools | Options | Privacy and then click the Settings button (see screenshot).

I'm not sure what settings you are referring to. If you mean the import CD settings, there would be no point in changing them after importing the CD, would there?
As for the best setting for audio quality, it's down to your preference. Many people will not hear the difference bewteen one setting and another. The best thing to do is import the same song several times using different import setttings (and change the song title so you know which one is which) and then listen to them on your iPod. Then decide.
Unless you have specific reasons for using the WAV setting, don't use it. It will use up a lot of space on your iPod and you cannot tag WAV files in the same way as the other formats.

Error when importing VIRSA CC 4.0 rules in RAR 5.3

I checked the file numerous times and removed extra tabs and extra spaces in between, but it's still not working. I even shortened the Description thinking that it might have been too long... so I just put it the first three words "System Administration Functions", but still it's throwing an error.
I also compared the downloaded file from 4.0 against the actual record from the system, and found out that the Description is actually TRUNCATED!
Has anyone got a clue?

Hi Liezl,
You're not supposed to import CC 4.0 rules into CC 5.3 as the 5.3 ruleset is very different than 4.0 and has lot more data and transactions added since 4.0. If you have many customized rules, you'll have to recreate them in the 5.3 ruleset. But best will be to upload the latest GRC 5.3 Support Pack version on CC and the latest SP version's rules set from SAP. Then create similar files combination customized rule set for your customized rules. This way you have that separate instead of having to reload all the changes again. So, you will have 2 different ruleset to run reports on. The 'global' one from SAP and then your own company customized one with only the custom rules , etc.
Once you've initially loaded the rules and it's working correctly, any other changes you will do to the rules later on to disable certain rules or ignore them, do it directly in the GRC DEV system and apply to one backend system rules. And then use the utilities under Rules tab to import /export to other back end ECC systems to apply the same changes and generate, which will be easier.

FK DELETE RULE problem when importing 8i SCHEMA on 10g

Hi everyone,
I´m having the following problem:
When importing a SCHEMA dump from an 8i database to a 10g one, some foreign key´s delete rule are changed from 'no action' to 'set null' automatically, even though the whole SCHEMA was imported.
Has anyone ever had the same problem?

I did some more research and I think I was completely misunderstanding Oracle's implementation of delete rules. Now I believe that Oracle implements the "RESTRICT" option in SQL Developer Data Modeler as "No Action", which is the default option, hence why no DDL option is generated. However, it would still be nice if Data Modeler could detect this fact when comparing two models. What I mean it, if comparing an Oracle DB to a model, treat Restrict and No Action as the same, and thus don't attempt to re-generate the DDL for this "difference". For now, I'll just change the action on my models to No Action, and this should resolve the issue.
