Change icon to show current time

Is it possible to change the Time app icon so that it shows the current time, like the Calender app icon shows the current date ?
Also the Weather app icon, can it be changed to show the current temp?
Or is this something requiring feedback to apple?

You currently can't change either. Personally, I don't want the weather updated automatically unless I can turn it off. Also, the time is always shown at the top... therefore adding more complexity to an icon is unnecessary.

Possible to show current time during call (not length of call)?

when i am on a call, the lock screen shows the phone number and the length of time i have been on the call. is it possible to change this, so that the lock screen shows me the current time (like it does when i am not on the phone)?
currently, the only way to bring up the current time is to (1) hit the home button (brings up phone controls), (2) slide to unlock, (3) hit home again (to get to enter passcode screen), and (4) enter passcode to see time in green bar at the top of the screen. it's a cumbersome process.

If I receive a call when locked, after answering, I can see the time in the top status bar...

Show current time on front panel?

I would like to have the the current time and date displayed on the front panel. I have placed a timestamp indicator, but haven't figured out how to reset the timestamp each loop cycle. Any advice?
I'm using LV7.

all you have to do if you want to show the user the time is put the getdatetime.vi in a while loop by itself in parallel with any other loops you may have. and if you have other while loops already just use a local variable of one of the other while loops for the stop condition.

Weather icon should show current weather

if they can have the Calendar icon show the current date and day, they need to have the Weather icon show the current temp and weather.

Nevermind, read the question wrong. I missed the word "icon" and to spare myself embarassment, I'll just delete. I agree with the OP, it would be cool.

Apple TV changed battery screen shows setting time etc now it will not start

I had to change battery in remote (2nd gen apple TV) now it starts setting time etc screen is blank. I swithced it off waited 30 secs, no luck!!!!
I cannot go to menu as it does not allow me. Has anyone got any suggestions??

Here's what finally worked for me with Apple TV 3rd generation. Out of the box, when setup with wi-fi, it breezed through without any issue. As soon as I powered down and connected it to another tv (same wi-fi network), it got stuck at setting date/time. The remote would help in getting out of it, but the home would only have "Computers" and "Settings" and pretty much useless except for AirPlay. Here's what I did to resolve this:
1. On your main router, temporarily disable the firewall or set it to the lowest setting allowable (a reboot of the router maybe required).
2. Restart apple tv via the "restart" option in the "General" option in the main settings menu.
3. It should breeze through and not show the "Setting date/time" screen.
4. Once it loads up properly, turn on your fire wall as before (a reboot of the router maybe required).
I think it worked for me out of the box, but auto-update to the latest software introduced this bug. So, everytime apple tv tries to synch with the time server, this issue will come back. To disable this, I turned off the "auto time synch" option in Settings -> General.
I am fairly confident that I'd be able to use steps 1 through 4 anytime this recurs. Possible scenarios causing recurrence of this issue:
1. Unplugging the power to apple tv or power failures.
2. OS updates.
3. Restoring apple tv using "Restore" or via micro-usb and iTunes to the lastest OS.

to_char(sysdate,'DD-MON-YY')
and a Default Value Type of PL/SQL Expression.

HT4053 can't figure out how to change the language showing the time on my home page, etc...seems to be some asiatic script...sos

Setting up my Iphone I must have overlooked something the result of which is time and other information appearing in some foreign, I think Asian, script of some kind. The vast majority of information, App names, etc, are displaying in English as needed, but the time and numbers of some things are in this other language. SOS.

Check Settings>General>International>Region Format and make sure this is set to the correct country/region.

Wifi icon dont show when 24hours time is off

Have you tried resetting your SIM card? Turn off the phone, remove the SIM card (be careful not to touch the gold contacts), wait a few minutes, then reinsert the SIM card, turn on the phone, and allow it a few minutes to establish a fresh network connection. If that doesn't work, you might try a new SIM card, they're free at your local Corporate Verizon store.

How to change Topic's Icon and show the Print Button

Time machine would back up only the first time after I shut off my imac and started it up again. Then it would fail or claim it could not locate my external Hard Drive even though it's icon was showing in the time machine dialog window.

Time machine only ever backed up the first time it runs immediately after I start up my computer after it has been shut off. All other back up attemps fail. Recently it stopped recognizing the icon for my external hard drive in the time machine dialog window where you select the hard drive to back up to, and turn on and off the time machine function. Now the external HD icon only shows up on the desk top but no longer in the dialog box. I just tried shutting the computer off and turning it on again and now the light is on, on the external hard drive but the icon does not even appear on the desk top.
The external hard drive is a 1TB Seagate. The drive still has plenty of unused capacity. I ran a diagnostic test on it. It said the disk needed repair but the repair function would not work. The message stated that it could not be unmounted and repair is not available because the disk can't be written to. The Mac OX utility said the disk can still be opened but can't be changed nor repaired. The external HD is not S.M.A.R.T. supported.
I haven't tried replacing the cable yet. Is that the next thing I should try?

Weather icon that shows the current weather?

My blackberry weather app used the icon to show the current weather conditions (sunny, rain, etc). The iphone calendar icon can show the current date. Is there a weather app that can use the iphone icon to show the current weather? I haven't found one yet.

The calendar app is a native app and the only one that does change its icon. Third-party apps don't have that facility.
The built-in Weather app does change its icon though - but only dependent on where you are (the region settings in the phone) and only shows either 23° Sunny or 73° Sunny - nothing else

I have one big wav file of segued tracks as a mixdown and inserted CD markers where I want marked tracks. the markers durations need to be configured, there is an easy way to do this using your existing markers. click the start time of marker 2, this should change to edit mode to type in a new number, just copy the numbers cmd/ctrl+c. then click the end time of marker 1 and paste, cmd/ctrl+v. now repeat for the rest of the markers, and on the last one enter a value for the end time or click and drag on the duration to manually extend it. once all the markers have a duration, the button should be active to export.

Data written in Operationamanager DB shows 1 Hr old time than current time

I have a strange issue on my SCOM 2007 R2 CU4 RMS, Just discovered this accidentally.
I Configured an alert for testing and i used a sql query to extract the data for the test alert.
In generally the Ops DB and Ops warehouse write data in GMT (London time)
When i ran a query if the Alert appeared at 08:00 PM London time, The time in the Alert shows 1 hr old so it shows that the alert appeared at 07:00 PM GMT.
So i used the query to see the current time in the DB "SELECT GETUTCDATE()"
Post entering the command i found that the time shows 1 hr behind the actual time.
So it appears that if it is 08:00PM now the Alerts and the time in the SQL Server shows 07:00PM GMT.
Is there any idea why this issue is occurring ?

The Local server time is US Eastern and is having the correct time.
The SQL & RMS have correct Eastern time. Both are physical Boxex.

In SCOM, all timestamp data is convert into UTC time before written into SCOM DB. This means the alert time is in UTC format.
When you ran a query if the Alert appeared at 08:00 PM London time, The time in the Alert shows 1 hr old so it shows that the alert appeared at 07:00 PM GMT. This is expected result because your machine time zone is not UTC and is UTC+1.

CS4 Actions change "Show Current Layer, Toggle With Others" MIA

I have been using Photoshop for years as a hobby and professionally. My employer recently upgraded our Mac Pro Quad-Core Intel Xeon computers to Photoshop CS4. The transition has been mostly painless accept for all the changes to the keyboard shortcuts (I'll live).
Recently we have come across an issue with one of our customer's workflows that we have not been able to get by using CS4. Or customer has a workflow that we must work within in order to provide them with the artwork files in a way they can use for other processes. The main parts of this workflow involve layer structure and a set of actions that they have been using since Photoshop 7. Our customer uses Photoshop CS3.
With the transition to Photoshop CS4 in our shop, one line of their action does not function in CS4.
Show Current Layer
Toggle With Others
What needs to happen is at the end of the action all layers need to be turned visible. In CS3, in the layer palette, by Control & Clicking the eye and selecting "Show/Hide all other layers" produced the recorded action 'Show Current Layer, Toggle With Others'. The names of the layers are not recorded. This is good because the action will work on any layer no matter what the name of the layer is. In essence all layers are made visible.
In CS4 performing the same above clicks produces a recorded action 'Show , ...' The diference is that in CS4 the action is recording the name of every layer that it is showing/hiding. Simply change the name of one of your layers and running the action again produces a verbose error box.
So any thoughts on how to make visible all layers in a document using an action that will work on any layered file?
We are constructing our files in CS4 and opening them in CS3 to run the action for our customer as a work around. Or we are manually toggling the visibility, but what fun is that when it used to be automatable?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You could try this script (CS4 only) to make all layers/groups visible. If it works for you, you could then call it as part of your action.

I-phone shuts off, I have to hold the home and power button at the same time to get the icon to show up. Then have to hold the home button. I'm restoring my phone multiple times a day just to get it to work. help!
