Change image tool name box

Hello,
I'm working with labview development vision 2011.
I'm creating a software with image tools and i need that the name of a indicator changes when i click in a specific tool.
Example - When I click in the Point tool, the name of the indicatior needs be "Area", and when I click in the "Line Tool" the name needs change automatically to "Length".
I need to use only one indicator and change only the name automatically when I click in the tool.
How can I do That?
Thank You So much.
Solved!
Go to Solution.

The property "Current ROI Tool" gives you the actual selection of the Image Displays ROI Tools.
You could create something like this to have a custom indicator:

  • Change image default name

    Hello!
Since this week, when I recieve an image via whatsapp, it appears with a different name than before.
Before, it showed a number and the date the image was sent (IMG000+date), and now it has the name of another pic+numbers (aaa+number).
I tried to find if this question was asked before, but I couldn't find a similar topic.
My device is a BlackBerry curve 8520. Can someone help me to change the default name of the images again, please?
Thanks!! (And sorry if I made a grammatical mistake or something!)

    Hi there,
I think thats not what he asked, as I have the same problem with the default picture names taken with the camera phone.
Is there anyway to change the default picture name? It's a pain changing the name of every picture you take, so would be better if you could setup your phone to name the pictures something like IMGXXX instead of the ridiculous format that is given by default in the 8900 IMGXXXXX-YYYYMMDD-HHMM
As for the shutter noise from the camera, Im afraid you need to use third party apps, check this link:
Turning off the camera shutter sound
    Any help would be appreciated

  • Changing image file names

    hi all.
can anyone help me find a thread (can i run a search somehow in ("Your Stuff"?) where folks were kind enough to help me understand how to change file names?
i am reading through some help documentation on Batch Change but i am trying to remember what i should be doing to most efficiently solve my problem.
basically i have images in aperture which have non-sensical names related to their originally existing in a pc folder organization originally and i would like to both rename them in aperture but also be able to have them EXPORTED to my desktop so i can upload them to the web with some reasonable sounding title such as "client1-town1-HousingType-FirmName-photographer.png" or something similar. right now the images i want to publish are ORGANIZED IN ALBUMS and have names like "folio_construction_other_turtle_134543.png"
i think i WOULD LIKE to change the name of the master but i am not totally sure about this and when i run a Metadata > Batch Change and pull down version name i get selections that i do not fully understand.
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/yvu1u7eskbmhcik/Screen%20Shot%202012-12-03%20at%201.58 .46%20PM.png
i /am/ familiar with a handle little tool called Name Mangler which basically allows me to easily delete all the PREFIX information (such as "folio_construction_other_turtle" and then to pre-pend something like "client1-town1-HousingType-FirmName-photographer" in front of the image number which would be ideal...
apologies for asking this again but until i get through it once i am finding it all a bit tricky.
    THANKS

    Hi Leonie.
Thank you so much. I am going to be doing a lot of this and just so i understand:
Delete the images you exported and renamed from your Aperture library before reimporting, to avoid creating duplicates. When deleting from the album that you used to export, use the command "delete version", not "delete from album". Do not delete the projects that the images came from, only the images.
Can you help me understand which images i am deleting? I mean, is there a way to delete just the images in the ALBUM because if i have to go in and delete the images from a Project there are going to be a lot more images in the Project and it is going to be very hard to tell which images have been renamed and which have not been renamed. If i have to do this by deleting the images in the Project, i suppose i could use one of your suggestions to color all the images in an ALBUM, say yellow, and then see where the images show up in Projects but even then i think it will be a bit tricky. Are you saying i can just delete the images in the ALBUM by doing "Delete Version"?
Use "File > import" to reimport your image files. I'd put all images that shall be imported into the same project into one folder, and then import each folder on its own.
OK. So - well - so now i am importing all of the images that i originally had in the Database and they are /basically/ (i moved the folder organization around a little bit while the images were on my desktop in this first attempt...) - they are basically getting IMPORTED into Aperture now with the "new" images coming into the database into a new Project that is named according to the Album that they were in?
This is a little tricky for me. Will the old Albums still exist? What if i had more than one Album with an image in it. Also, this "new" image will be in a /new/ Project but will it still be in the OLD PROJECT with the old name? Or, i guess i am getting a little confused as to how this will work.
Select the project in the Library Inspector, that you want to import the folder of images into, then set the "Destination" in   "Import settings > Aperture Library" brick to this project  and set "Store Files" to "In the Aperture Library".
OK. I can try this here soon. What does Store Files in the Aperture Library do? I guess these images are getting imported as if they are new and they are getting imported with no external references?
Set "Rename files" to "None" or "version name". Both will keep the name you edited.
OK. Not sure i totally understand but i can try this as well. I guess this is making sure Aperture will keep the original names.
    THANKS

  • Changing image file name

I'm working with dreamweaver 8 for Mac.
Imagine that you have a html page with more than 200 images, that you have changed many times during the last few years, some have been deleted others have been added. And some are not linked any more.
At the beginning the pictures were numbered from the top of the page to the bottom of the page in order (picture1, picture2....), now they are messed up (picture13, picture 1....).
If I rename the images in my local file folder, DW update it on the html page. Unfortunately in the local file folder the pictures are not displayed, I have to open all of them (200 images) on my desktop ! I The result: a big mess. So my question is:
Is it possible to make a file name change on the html page, and DW update it on the local files folder?
I hope I've been clear. Thanks for your help.

What I would do is create a PHP script that places the images in a document, sorted on date.
If you Google the subject, you will see many examples on how to do this. One such search gave me this http://www.javascriptkit.com/javatutors/externalphp2.shtml
If you then see an image that you no longer need, you can remove it from the directory. This will leave you with the images that you do need sorted from earliest date to the latest  date.
Keep this script for the document that you want to show the images on. Future maintenance will consist of removing the unwanted images from the directory and adding new ones. The PHP page will automatically be updated. No worries with file names, as long as you do not have two the same.
Although I mention PHP, the same goes for all serverside scripts.
    Good luck.

  • Photostream for Windows keeps changing image file names

Hi, I have iCloud and the Photo Stream application installed on my Windows Vista PC. I have just returned from a trip abroad and took photos on both my iPhone 4 (updated with iOS6) and a separate digital camera. Having taken thousands of photos, I've managed to combine the two collections of photos into one and renamed them in sequence i.e. USA(1), USA(2), USA(3) etc. I want to be able to convert this completed photo collection into a Photostream to share with others on their iPhones and iPads respectively.
I know Shared Photostreams are limited to 1,000 photos each, however when I create and add the new collection of photos to a new Photostream album, it chooses to rename the files and display them out of the desired order. The file names are usually something like 'IMG_00605' and while some are in the correct order and placed next to one another, others are not. Despite playing with the display settings, i.e. Sort By>Name, Date Taken, Tags etc I still cannot get the photos to display in the order I set out in the first place. As you can imagine this is incredibly frustrating, having painstakingly gone through all my photos to ensure they were ordered and renamed sequentially.
Does anybody know how I can rectify this and display my photos in the order I want them to? Any suggestions would be greatly received.
    Thanks very much in advance,
    James

  • Finder changes the file name in Save/Save As dialogue box

Whenever I save or save as a file, the dialogue box opens, but when I make the file list active when using a mouse, the file name I click to changes the file name I am saving. I simply want to activate the file list window so I can find the right folder. For example if I am looking for a folder called "Receipts" I want to be able to click on the file list window to activate it and then type the first 2 letters of the folder-- "re" and then save the file in that folder. The finder keeps changing the name of the current file whenever I click on one of the "greyed-out" file names? This doesn't make sense unless of course I want to replace that file.
Is there a shortcut that makes the file list window in the dialogue box active while in the SAVE/SAVE AS dialogue box??

Yes, this example of horrible UI design has been a problem since "Panther". It illustrates what happens when you try to copy UI behaviour from another OS, do it poorly, and end up with a mess. In 10.3 and 10.4, the combination of the renaming behaviour with the default "replace" selection in the resulting save can result in data loss.
Compared to the old Mac OS where a tab would flip the focus between the text field for the file name and the file browser, the current behaviour either doesn't allow enough keyboard access to controls, or with "full access" enabled, too many to cycle through easily. The inability to switch focus to the file browser using the mouse (depending on the view) is a horrible productivity loss. Having to recheck the filename before saving is a horrible productivity loss. Since there is no "undo" for the renaming in most files, having to retype the name is again, a horrible productivity loss.
If they had done it right (a simple change, like requiring a modifier to rename), users would probably welcome the "rename" feature as a useful addition. Instead, it has the feel of something a junior Windows-trained programmer slipped in past their supervisor.
In short, I am not aware of any workaround or hack to avoid this "renaming" behaviour. I doubt it will do any good since people have been doing so since "Panther", but you could try submitting feedback:

  • How do I change the dimensions of an image? The Image Size dialog box will not allow me to change it

How do I change the dimensions of an image? The Image Size dialog box will not allow me to change dimensions.  I am taking an online class and the Image Size dialog box looks different than the one I am seeing in Photoshop CC.  It has the option to change the dimensions.

When you say chage the dimentions, do you mean crop the image and adjust the size of the image at the same time, or do you mean you want to just resize the image?  Can you post a screen shot of what you're trying to do?

  • Image file names changed on Homepage

I have found, on several occasion,s that the titles of the images on my homepage have lost their file names and show the filename iPhoto gives it when uploading to Homepage i.e. Image123A123B123C etc Sometimes, it shows OK when viewing the page but not when editing the page.
All my images are given my job number reference for people to order from so loosing them is a big issue.

The exif "image file name" is probably only used by some cameras, I don't have anything in there either.
Instead use "file name" under "other", that is the actual file name of the master file.

  • Changing images and folders to lower case

I modified my Apache software so that all the URL's in my websites default to lower case before I realized that my images would also be affected. I also modified it so that underscores are changed to dashes. Thus, an image located at images/Maps/South_America.png now gets left behind when the URL defaults to images/maps/south-america.png.
So I have two choices - 1) Figure out a way to exempt image links from the new defaults, or 2) rename all my images and the folders that contain them.
As I haven't yet figured out how to do the former, I need to learn how to do the latter.
So I guess we're talking about as many as three or four operations here - change all folder names to lower case, change all images names to lower case and replace underscores in folders and images with dashes.
Can anyone tell me how to get started? I believe there are lots of tools and software programs that accomplish at least some of these, but I'd like to find out which operations, if any, Apple can do first. Ideally, I'd like to dump my entire images folder into some program and let it change everything. (I've already made a backup of my images folders, of course.)
    Thanks.

First of all be sure the font you're using has small letters and not just caps. If it does, then click the tiny triangle at the far left of the options bar and choose Reset Tool.

  • Updating Referenced Image Folder names

    Hi,
My Aperture library is a Referenced Library. My referenced images are stored on an external FW 800 drive and my file system is setup as: Folder Name/Project Name. This has worked great for me, but causes issues when I make changes to the organizational system of my library. I know that Aperture is smart enough to still link the correct files even if the folder/project system is off.
My question is: How do you keep the folder system synced and intact when using a Referenced Library after making changes to the names of Projects, etc? Is this possible? If not, what system of fouler organization works best for keeping things simple, organized and in sync with as little confusion and downtime in terms of work flow?
I'm looking for some general (and specific) ideas from users here.
    Thanks,
    Mac

    macorin wrote:
The question for you is: What need are you trying to meet by mimicking in your Master file storage and retrieval structure?
    Kirby,
First, thanks for the lengthy and helpful response. In thinking about what you wrote, I probably don't need to worry about my Master file storage structure. So long as Aperture is able to find my Masters no matter the folder, project, album they sit in, I should be fine. My initial thinking was that if I wanted to access my Masters (for some reason) outside of Aperture, it would be easier for me to know where everything was. That being said, I don't really ever need to do that, as everything can be done straight from within Aperture. Still, it just makes me a little uneasy knowing that my images are organized and structured one way in Aperture and another outside of it where those images are linked to.
Don't let it make you uneasy. Even if they are all in one 55-gallon bag (or Finder folder), they are easily sorted by date (and time) taken, and by file name. These two alone -- esp. if you have renamed your Masters with a good and rigorously applied file-naming convention -- should meet every need you might have.
Moreover, your Aperture Library of images should be deeply hyperlinked. That's a big reason to use Aperture. None of those hyperlinks are create-able in a file storage system.
At the risk of being (even more) off-putting than usual: think on that. Beginning to understand that difference allows you to manage your data in much more successful ways.
The second reason I was asking is because when I import into Aperture as a Referenced Library, I also back up those images to a second external hard disk. I generally keep this back up archive organized and structured the same way as my Masters structure. If I ever deleted a Referenced Master and then later on wanted to re-import it from my back up archive, it makes it easier to find things, etc if they are organized the same way.
I don't buy it. Can you give an example of a situation in which you need to find a file and you don't know the date it was taken (at least roughly) or some part of the file name?
Your Masters need almost no storage structure at all.
IME, once I started using Aperture's extensive image management tools, I found I had almost no -- zero, nada -- file management needs beyond back-up.
If you read what I wrote just above, I guess this plays to that. How do you manage your back-up file management system if things change in ways that I have suggested, i.e. renaming projects, etc and moving things around from one project to another?
I try to keep two additional copies of every Library and every set of Referenced Masters at all times. One set is kept off-site. It's not hard to do -- but I do run copy operations that last all night. Aperture's Vault can serve as one of the Library copies. I have found it easier to manage when I don't use Vaults, so I stopped using them. If you find Vaults convenient, use them.
Just to be clear: My main goal is to make sure that my back-up file management structure mimics my Aperture Library Folder, Project, Album (well, not album as you can't organize at this time by album name) structure. I am not talking about the structure of where my Masters are stored, but rather the structure of my back-up. I hope this makes sense.
This does not make sense. +File management+ refers to Referenced Masters and not to Aperture Folders, Projects, or Albums.
Your Aperture Folder, Project, & Albums (all of 'em) structure is part of your Library. Back up your Library, and you have backed up that structure.
The files an Aperture user needs to back up are
    - your Aperture Library (an OS X package of hundreds of thousands of files)
    - all your Referenced Masters.
    That's it.

  • Changing User Folder Names

    Hi Folks.
    I’ll try to be brief.
Just bought a new computer with pre-installed Windows 7 home premium.
I’ve always been a little confused since XP (or was it Vista?) by the three user folders; ‘owner’ ‘default’ and
‘public’ but like most people I’ve got used to it and it doesn’t bother me, I know all my stuff is in
    ‘my’ users folder.
What really really bothers me is that on my new computer the ‘main’ user folder doesn’t bear my name but that of the computer
store where I bought the computer. I’ve tried but can’t change the name.
There is no way that I can live with this computer for the next few years with
‘Joe Bloggs Computers’ being the owner and main man on my computer.
Every time I look for files, download files, transfer files, save files, etc,
its to ‘Joe Bloggs Computers’ that they go.
I’ve changed the ‘computer name’ to mine via computer properties and also changed the ‘Registered Owner’ name to
mine via the registry but the main user folder still bears only the name of ‘Joe Bloggs’.
I’ve played around with folder ownership properties (which I find mega confusing) where ownership and rights belong sometimes to me, sometimes
to Joe Bloggs, and sometimes both to me and Joe Bloggs together.
The hard drive has protected partitions which contain the OS but this problem bothers me so much I’d be willing to reinstall the using the
recovery discs to solve the problem but hopefully you guys find a solution.
    Thanks

I think you should do this -
Change your user account name from Control panel.
At the Control Panel you need to click on user account name.
Click on the Change Name option
    Then
change folder profile and make sure create a new account with administrator
This new account is only needed to change the folder profile name.
To create a new account click Manage Another Account > Create a new Account
Log off your computer and then log in with the newly-created account
Now Open Windows Explorer then navigate to C:\users
Right click on the folder you want to rename and change it to the same name as your new  user profile with which you log
    in to your Windows 7
At this point you have successfully renamed your Windows 7 user folder but to avoid possible error you need to perform a registry
edit. Go to registry editor by typing “Registry” (without quote) in Start Menu. Navigate to the following registry value:
Righ click on the profile list and navigate to  “Find” Menu
Type in your old user in the search box and then hit ‘Find Next”.  Navigate to the “Profile Image Path” located on the
right pane of the registry editor and click twice on it
Edit  the registry value to rename it to your new user profile
