Change in number range for Job Family

Hi,
We have a requirement where we need to change the existing number range for object type Job Family.
The number range begins from 500* series. Now this needs to be changed to 90000000 number range.
Now the question is what would be the impact if we delimit the objects with earlier JF number range and
create the job families as part of the job catalogue with 90000000 number range.

Hello,
Only difference/impact is you will get new number ranges only.

  • OM Number Ranges for Job(C)

    Hi All,
I want to create a separate Number Range for Job Code.
    The following what I tried,
First i created the Subgroup 01C-Plan Version,Object Type and created the Interval from 1 to 50002896 with internal number range.
Now for the second i need the Interval from 50002900 to 50002950 for the Job Code,so I created the second interval with same number range and EXT check box is ticked.
But whenever I enter the Number in the 50002900 in the PP01,
    Plan Version-Current Plan
    Object Type-Job
    Object ID-50002900
Selected the Object and clicked on the Create  the Following Error Appeared
"The number indicated is not in any valid external Interval"
    Please Help me out

    Hi,
Please try this (apologize if repeating what you have done)
If you want to change the number ranges of the organisation objects, you will have to change the inputs in Table T77IV.
form the first column  subgroup pick "c" and click on the number range maintenance. The number ranges generally are internal but if you were to mark them as external am not sure if that can happen.
there are few exits but one has to be very careful  while executing
    Individual Number Assignment
Warning : You should carry out this activity only if the following two conditions are fulfilled:
    if
The SAP Standard Processes do not meet your requirements.
You can program in ABAP competently.
In this step, you can implement the following User Exits of the enhancement RHIV001:
EXIT_SAPLRHIN_001: Check number ranges for integration
    EXIT_SAPLRHIV_001: Internal number assignment
    EXIT_SAPLRHIV_002: Check external number assignment
EXIT_SAPLRHIV_003: Check whether internal number assignment is available
    Hope this helps
    All the best to you

  • Create a number range for job keys

We have different business units within our company and would like te set up different number ranges for the job keys that are generated on the organizational data for the different business units.
My steps to create a job key is as follows:
    - Go to transaction PP01
    - Select "Job" on Object Type field
    - Select "Object" under Infotype Name on the Active tab and click on create.
    - I now create my Object abbreviation and object name
    - When I save, the screen returns to PPO1 and the Object ID field now have a job key number in (which is linked to the Position number and displayed on IT0001).  The number is e.g. 60000000
My question is, that if we are creating a new object ID for  e.g. for Business Unit 1, we would like the Object ID to generate a number in the number range e.g. 60000000 - 69999999
If we we are creating a new object ID for e.g. for Business Unit 2, we would like the Object ID to generate a number in the number range e.g. 70000000 - 79999999
    Etc.
Is it possible to do something like this as there is no indication on PP01 as to what Business Unit you are creating this Object ID for and therefore it would not know what number range to allocate.
Is there perhaps someone that is doing it this way and who has a solution for me.
    Regards
    Helmien

    Hi helmien vanrenen ,
Go for transaction code OONC or table T77S0 and group NUMRG  COMP Do not enter value.
Next step is go to transaction code OONR here you can assign the different number ranges for different Object Types.

  • How to change number range for document type ?

    Dear All
    Experts
How to change the number range for document types for entry view? I am trying to change the number range for all document type as per defined ranges in FBN1, but at the time of saving document type and number range the system is throwing error message as
Doc. type C1: Number range 07 is used for ledger L6 with doc. type AE
    Message no. FAGL_LEDGER_CUST093
I have defined a leading ledger in system too with these settings
    1)     Define ledger for accounting.
    2)     Defining currencies for it.
    3)     Defining ledger group for the same.
    4)     Defining accounting principles
    5)     Assignment of principles to leading ledger.
Are there any extra settings required for leading ledger settings?
I have some doubts those are :-
How document types defined at ledger level?
How to define them at leading ledger level?  (Like my case)
Focus on this will be appreciable.
    Regards,
    Sharvari Joshi.

    hi ,
The document numbers in the leading ledger and the non leading ledgers should be in sync, they should not have any differences, so incase you are trying to change the number range for C1, the  number range 07 is already been assigned to doc type AE. i guess you have cant use 07 for C1. may be you can try out with an other number range. check this and let me know if you are able to do this.
    coming to
1.How document types defined at ledger level?
2.How to define them at leading ledger level? (Like my case)
Ans 1. please try defining document types for entry view in a ledger.
path : SPRO- financial accounting new -financial accounting global settings new - document -document types -define document types for entry view in ledger.
upon prompt enter the ledger and go ahead creating the number ranges for the document types.
    Hope this helps.

  • SD Number Ranges for Debit Memo

    Hi,
We have maintained the number range 09 -9000000 to 9999999 for Invoice-cancel invoice-credit memo-debit memo in VOFA billing type.
Now the client want to change the document number series for Debit memo alone as they are confused with the same series for all.
Now if i want to change the number range for Debit memo-L2 in VOFA what should i do?where can i create new number range for this.If i create in VN01 is enough or do i need to create in FBN1 also?
If i assign differant number range for Debit memo, will it give any errors?
    Kindly advice me
    Thanks
    Supriya

Please see the document type attached for each type of SD transactions like invoice / credit memo.
I would suggest you maintain the similar number ranges in SD and FI to avoid further confusion in future.
Refer OBA7 - for document types.
Maintain the similar document number ranges in VN01 and FBN1. There should not be any problem, unless you have posted some documents already.

  • Change from Internal to External Number range for customer account group

    Hi,
We would like to change the number range assignment for a customer account group from internal to external. The external number range assignment check box is greyed out as a few numbers in the range have already been used up.  We want to do the internal to external assignemnt change, create a customer of a specific number, and revert the range back to internal assignment. Is this possible?
    Appreciate your help.
    Ram

    Hi,
    Please do the below steps:-
    (1) Go to XDN1 and click on "Maintain status" button. Note down the current status and change the status to zero. Save.
    (2) Again go to SDN1 and click on "Maintain No. Range" button, and change the no. range to external. Save. (if that number range is maintained for multiple years, then make it external for the first yer and for the subsequent years, it will become automatically.)
    (3) Then create your customer with specific number.
    (4) Then go to XDN1 and click on "Maintain No. Range" button, and change the no. range to internal. Save. (if that number range is maintained for multiple years, then make it internal for the first yer and for the subsequent years, it will become automatically.)
    (5) Again go to XDN1 and click on "Maintain status" button. Maintain the current status as the number noted down in step (1) above. Save. (In case number created in step (4) is greater than the number notes in step (1), maintain the number of step (4) in current status.)

  • Number range for Object (Organizational unit, Job, Position)

    Hi all,
How to maintain number range for Organizational unit or Job or Position by Company Code or PA, EG, ...?
    Thanks,
    Quang

    Hi,
For organizational objects maintain number ranges via OONR.
e.g. In order to maintain number range for C - Job object in plan version 01 add the following line to OONR:
    01C  IN  EX
Then select this line and hit "Number range maintenance"
There create the interval you want.
    (EX 60000000 69999999)
For PA, EG there is no number range maintained.

It will be 2 and not 301. This is a flaw with CIN. All transactions take place by means of internal numbers and are stored in CIN transaction tables. Hence when the range gets exhausted, the number gets reset to the beginning, yet there is no error because internal number, which is the primary key, is different.
To solve your problem. Go to SNRO and provide the object J_1IEXCLOC and click on status. Change the status to 300 and continue with your transaction.
    Regards,
    Aroop
PS: Your question is more relevant for SD than MM.

  • Same Number Range for OTHR and DLFC

    Hi All,
I want to know whether we can mantain different number range for OTHR and DLFC transaction Type for same Series Group.
i.e for Returns Vendor Delivery Excise Invoice(MM side-OTHR) and Outgoing Excise Invoice(Sales Side-DLFC).
    Pls guide me..
    With Regards
    Azeez.Mohd

even when you sell SFG / Trading goods -( HAWA / HALB) , then also you have to update RG1, though they are not FG materials.
Material type in terms of excise, but not in terms of SAP.
    eg:
When customer returns the goods, you can process it in 2 ways-
either by creatign Excise JV - J1IH
or by following MM route, nothing but by creating Incoming excise Invoice wrt:inbound delivery-LR in Tcode:J1IEX-
where in excise tab, material type will be defaulted as "F-RG1", but it has to be changed to "Raw Material".
similarly, Vendor returns also treat as the same,
for your info, adjustment of excise duty for vendor returns will be routed through excise JV in J1IS & mov type:122 -ret to vendor is activated for RG1.

  • Issue on Number Range for MRP Purchase Requisition

    Hi Gurus,
Please help me on the issue explained below.
We are already using SAP ECC 6.0 and SRM 5.0 and now we are implementing Plant Maintenance Module. As a result of this implementation ,we have created number of PR document types and assigned to unique number ranges in ECC. One of these document types has been maintained for MRP group for a material type in order to identify the MRP purchase requisitions created on the shortage of the materials for these material types.
This functionality is working fine. MRP run for the materials is picking the appropriate PR document but number range of the document is not the same what was assigned to the linked document type. Some other number series is getting picked by system .
There is setting under SPRO Consumption Based PlanningNumber RangesPurchase Requisitions
Here, number range assignment is against plant. This is the same number range which is being taken by system on running MRP. But the desired number range is the one which has been linked to PR document type.
If I change the number range above then number range for MRP PR in present system will get affected..
Can you please advise me on above so that PR generated on MRP run should have appropriate number range?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Niti

    Hi,
As per my understanding, what you have mentioned above is exactly the way SAP is designed. Its SAP Standard behaviour.
But if you check your PR document type - no:range & the CBP no:range both will be same only since both refers to the same object.
Please check the PR document type that you have assigned in the CBP & its no:ranges.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Ram

  • Multipe number range for indonesia tax invoice no.

    Hi All,
I have one question to confirm with you all:
Our indonesia office need to print out tax invoice when billing document is created.
The format is TTS.BBB-YY.NNNNNNNN , and only TTS is fixed, the other 13 digits changes.
And we can only get one number range from tax office for almost one month's usage, which means we can not maintain the number range for one whole year in one time.
Question 1:  How to maintain mulitple of number ranges for one year:
I'm thinking if we can maintain different number  in table "V_OFF_NUM_ID"
    2014/01/01 – 2014/12/31  900    ID0114  01
    2014/01/01 – 2014/12/31  901    ID0114  03
    2014/01/01 – 2014/12/31  902    ID0114  04
    2014/01/01 – 2014/12/31  903    ID0114  05
    2014/01/01 – 2014/12/31  904    ID0114  06
But the "code 2" is same sometimes, so I have to do so
    2014/01/01 – 2014/12/31  900    ID0114  01
    2014/01/01 – 2014/12/31  901    ID0114  03
    2014/03/28 – 2014/12/31  901    ID0114  04
    2014/01/01 – 2014/12/31  903    ID0114  05
    2014/01/01 – 2014/12/31  904    ID0114  06
But if so, I don't know when the billing date is after 2014/03/28, and the number "03" is not used up, system will pick number range of 04 or 03?
    Question 2:
The revision billing document after reversal must have the same tax invoice no. with the "original billing" & reversal billing"
The SAP standard use new tax invoice no.
    How to realize it?
    Question 3:
YY is year and defaulted from billing date?
    Thanks and best regards
    Cathy

You are correct that this is statutory requirement, and SAP deliver the solution, you can refer to note
    1033737 - Indonesia: Tax Invoice & VAT Reporting 1107 .
However, from 04/2014, the requirement changes
    TTS.BBB-YY.NNNNNNNN
Before: Only NNNNNNNN changes and SAP suggest using one number range
Now: BBB-YY.NNNNNNNN  changes, and there are quite a few number range per each year.
Can not get one number range for one whole year.
Therefore, I raised my question as above. However, I think I have answer to my question, just I'm looking for one more perfect solution if there is:
1> The answer for 1st question
When the "code 2" is same sometimes, I will maintain as below
    2014/01/01 – 2014/12/31  900    ID0114  01
    2014/01/01 – 2014/12/31  901    ID0114  03
    2014/03/28 – 2014/12/31  901    ID0114  04
    2014/01/01 – 2014/12/31  903    ID0114  05
    2014/01/01 – 2014/12/31  904    ID0114  06
By testing, only if the number of 03 is used up even though the billing date is 2014/04/01, the number 04 will be used, so should be okay.
2> The answer for 2nd question
The revision billing document after reversal must have the same tax invoice no. with the "original billing" & reversal billing"
The SAP standard use new tax invoice no
Since there are only 3-4 reversal per year, so user can realize it by changing the "current number" in J1AB
    You mentioned it in
    http://scn.sap.com/thread/3519329
but I did not try until I'm sure it will work
    3> YY
I think it's should be from billing date.

  • Different number range for recurring docs for diff company code

    Hi,
We define X1 as the number range for recurring company codes. For 2 company codes, we have given the same number range for X1, 100000-1999999
Now when a recurring doc is posted for both the company codes monthly, the company codes have same dco number which confuses the user.
Is there any way to change the set up of the number range like deleting the one existing and starting with the new series
    Any other suggestions are appreciated
    -Vaibhav

    Hello,
You cannot deleted the number range if it has already been posted, however, you just limit or restrict the upper limit equal to the current number.
Create a new number for other company code.
the number ranges are defined at company code level / fiscal year level.
The number ranges can be year dependent or year independent
They may be internal or external.
    Regards,
    Ravi
