CAN ANYBODY TELL ME HOW TO CONTROL THE CHANGE IN QTY OF ITEM e.g. X MATERIAL IS IN COGI 100 NOS. SO THIS QTY SHOULD NOT BE CHANGED BY ANYONE.

I think the name you have used is not starting with "Z" or "Y", that is the reason systems is saying that it can be created in SAP Package only...generally your technical team would have already created some "Z" package for their developments.
Please use the name of the transaction variant starting with "Z" and also assign to a relevant "Z*" package... work with your abap person in this regard. This will not affect anything as just creating a variant cannot be used till it is activated using the same transaction.

I hardly can't believe that. There must be an mistake by your own in the smartform itself. Would you please share some screens or better, the smartform-XML itself. You can pass out everything else and just share the table and a dataset to try this.
I'm pretty sure that there is something wrong with the settings or even the loop itself. I never faced a problem like that or even heared about such things.
I would love to have a look inside.
Before you share it, create a new one with just the table inside and try it with the same data. Perhaps it is just of to much folders or something like that, so the generating comes in trouble.

I want to change the text of item's displaying in the folowing ALV.
Go to ME23N->Click 'Messages'->Click 'Further Data' -> Click 'Displ.Originals'.
Here one small ALV grid is appearing.
Currently it is showing same name's under the 'Title' column of that ALV. My requirement is to change the text coming under the column 'Title' in that display.
Can any one throw some light in the issue.

i had similar kind of requirement ,while attaching the supporting documents to FI document , i need to update title field with File name , so i used EP and BADI to do so.

Changing Dimensions of menu items in menubar
I wanted to make the menu items have an auto width instead of
a fixed with. So I followed the direction in the Help file under

Not able to create item under initiative in SAP PPM thru SAP EP 7.3

We have deployed SAP BP for PPM on SAP EP for PPM. We have created successfully created initiative under the bucket.
Now we are trying to add item under the initiative but the SAP standard webdynpro ABAP application gives error.
Below are the steps we perform on portal:
Under Portfolio and Project Admin --> Portfolio Structure --> Select the bucket --> Select the initiative --> Add item
On the first instance it does not saves the item (no message displyed for Data Saved successfully), on second time click of Save it gives attached error:Hi Sneha,
I think in the first instance it has saved the item and when you tried second time, item ID is conflicting. So change the item id and check.
At the same time, check whether the item id-11 is linked to initiative after the first instance of save.

How can i Close the PO by changing the Qty to 6000 from 5.443,206???????
Hi All,
User wants the PO with 240bags= 6000 Kg but the value is like this 240bags x 22.68kg = 5.443,200 Kg(this is picking from material master in Alternate units of measure 100bags =2268)
*As of now the PO status is:
Ordered Qty: 240bags
Delivery : 264.550 (User changed the Qty from 240 to 264.550 bags in delivery)
PGI Qty: 264.550
GR: 240 bags
IR: not completed
The fact is that they purchased 6000kg and they were able to add into the system just 5.443,206, and They need to add the rest into the PO: 556,794 kg (we have them in the warehouse)
How can we do this?
In order to close this PO they want to add remaining Qty
i have tried to change the alternate unit of measure in the material master from 100bags=2268Kg to100bags=2500kg but this is not reflecting in the PO
if i am trying to create a new PO the new AOU(to100bags=2500Kg ) is reflecting

As per your posting i under stood the question like this.
PO has been created for 240 bags which is 5.443,200 Kg ( As per the material master calculation).But user wants 6000kg.
Delivery has been done for 264.550 bags at 100bags =2268 kg.Means 264.550*22.68 = 5999.94 almost 6000kg.
And since PO is for 5,443,200 KG , GR has been made against this qty.
At this stage please remove the new conversion change for the material since every transaction has been made against the PO it will not reflect.Also if there exists any transaction in pipe line will get effct due to this.
Just change the PO qty to 264.550 bags and receive the GR for the remaining qty which is 24.55 bags .Sytem will allow this change.Also no need of additional Delivery or PGI. since already the PGI has been for 264.55 bags.
Other wise if you want change the conversion factor for the material , please reverse the GR done and cancel the PGI at VL09 and delete the delivery and make the PO afresh and change the qty as per the 6000kg requirement and repeat the process.

While Entering a Service Line Item for a Shippable Item under Order Lines.
Hi all
I have raised a Sales Order with Shippable Item and Non Shippable Item i.e Service Item for that Shippable Item under Sales Order Lines.
When i click on Services Tab and enter the relevant details under Service Ref Order Number the system is defaulting the current Sales Order No. correctly but while selecting the Service Ref Line Number it errors out saying
FRM-40212: Invalid value for field SERVICE_REF_LUNE_NUMBER.
Please do help me on this.

You can easily list out sales order that have been assigned reason for rejection..simple extract of table VBAP-ABGRU = not blank.
This report should list out the sales order number along with some more details, as required.
Now the report should allow to choose the documents i.e. like giving checkboxes in the left most side and once the user chooses the sales documents he wants to get processed--> the program should call change Sales Order FM or BAPI. Execute this in background.

Issue with PO change output - Service line items
Hi All,
This is issue with PO change output. We have PO with line item 10, 20 and item 10 has 4 service line items. PO is approved and initial print out is taken.
Some one goes and makes changes to 1st service line items of PO line item 10.
A change output gets triggered. When this output is printed, it prints line item 10 details. This is standard functionality as this item is changed. But its printing all the service line items for this PO line item. Consider a case where there are 3000 service lines for a PO item. If I add 1 service item to this PO line item, the change form prints 3001 services for that line item. There were no changes done to first 3000 service line items.
Currently PO change form takes care of changes at PO line item but it does not take care of changes at service line item level.
Is there any setting that needs to be done for this so that it only considers the changes at Service line item level also.

I can't seem to open (view) my photos. I get an error message that says "the file couldn't be opened because you don't have permission to view it. To view or change permission, select the item in the finder and choose File. Get info." I have never had this happen before? Thanks!

1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.

I have iTunes set to manually manage my music and podcasts. Previously I had done this by clicking on the "Podcasts" item under the iPhone device section. Here I would delete podcasts I had previously listened to and drag new podcasts from the "podcasts" item under the Library section. As of today, when I connect my iPhone to my computer, it no longer lists a "podcasts" item under my iPhone in the Devices section.
Now I can't fine a place to delete old podcasts. I also do NOT want to use iTunes sync function for podcasts. Anyone else having this issue?
-MikeJust found out. You select the podcast page on your iPhone 4. You drag your finger, from right to left, over the screen, just like you do to delete e-mails. The delete option will present itself. Touch the delete button and confirm. The podcast will be deleted.

Sales Order creation/ change date for the items
I have a unique scenario and i need to get a Report for this
A sales order is created for 4 line items.
Out of these , for 2 line items a delivery is created. I need the sales order creation date and time for these 2 items in a custom report
Now the other 2 items go in to some kind of block- Now these are released by going in the sales order VA02 and after releasing the delivery is created. Again for these two items , i need the sales order change date as after a user goes and changes the sales order to remove the block only then delivery is created for these two items
Also another scenario is the 2 line items go for back order and when we get stock at tht time system confirms the stock and then the delivery is created for these. So also for this when this change occured i need to get the date for these 2 line items
Can any one please suggest how to get this data from the scenarios?
I dont want to get the date when the delivery is created as i can get tht from the LIKP table. I need the sales order create and change dates for these.You may be aware, any changes to a document will be recorded in CDHDR (for header changes) and CDPOS (for item changes). You can explore these two tables.

ALE third party: User name in change log of PO item is updated inconsistently

We're running third party process, where changes in SO item are auto updated into PO item via workflow. Normally, user who changed SO item is updated in change log of PO item. However, there are several cases where workflow user is updated in PO item change log. There seems to be an inconsistency here. Do you have any idea? I've searched SAP Note but could not find any.

Checking data in system, I found one thing:
if change document of PO item is created later than change document of SO item, change user in PO item is workflow user; in the other hand, if change document of PO item and SO item are created at same time, change user in PO item is same as change user in SO item.
So I guess root cause of issue is: Change User in PO change log depends on which task system is doing (updating SO item or updating PO item) at the time the log is recorded; due to this, the t-code in log is also different (ME22 for workflow user and VA02 for normal user).
Is it correct?

I upgraded to mountain lion a week ago and now on startup of my macbook pro, microsoft excel and word start up automatically and then crash? very strange can anyone please help? I have checked the login items under users and groups and there is nothing.
Are you using the Office for Mac 2011 version, as you need to do? The Office for Mac 2004 is Not at all compatible with Mountain Lion, and the 2008 version has been noted to have some problems running with ML.
