Change in selected fileds of records in SAP R/3 Table

Hi Folks
I want to change the value in some fields of a few records in an R/3 table. Is it possible? If yes, HOW?
For example,
Table Name - TFACD and Fields - AKTVJAHR and AKTBJAHR
At present, AKTVJAHR value = 1990 and AKTBJAHR value = 1999.
I want them to be like...  AKTVJAHR value = 2000 and AKTBJAHR value = 2009.
How can we accomplish it? Please let me know the steps.
Most Thanks......
Rajvat

hi,
You can not change the contents of the table directly as those related to configuration . The table data you are referring can be changed using configuration. You can refer transaction scal for changing those values.

Trying to import a .mov file made with gotomeeting - no problems in past doing this. After 3 attempts recording the hour long video and trying to upload it to iMovie, it says No importable files -None of the selected files or folders can be imported. Change the selection and try again. What could the reason be?

After much research and troubleshooting, GoToMeeting replied with the final answer: We do not support the uploading of recordings to editing software. If you are having issues uploading a recording, unfortunately, we do not have tools or steps to resolve this. It is not a supported feature. I am sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
The no longer plan to support editing of recordings made with their software.  So, we are planning to find a new meeting provider.

  • How to update Records of SAP table from .CSV file

    Hi,
I have written a code which takes a data from (,) delimited CSV file and adds it into the Internal table.
Now I want to update the all fields in SAP table with the Internal table.
I want to use Update statement.
Update <table Name> SET <field needs to update> WHERE connditon.
I don't want to iterate through thousand on record in sap table to check the where condition.
Could you please tell me how to do it.

Hi. I thing you will not workaround the iterating of the internal table.
You can pre-load all the records into another internal table
check lt_csv[] is not initial. " important, otherwise next select would read all records of the table
    select .... into lt_dbitab for all entries in lt_csv where key-fieds = lt_csv-key_fields...
check sy-subrc eq 0 and lt_dbitab[] is not initial.
then do in-memory update of the it_dbitab
    loop at it_dbitab assign <fs>.
read table lt_csv assign <fs_csv> with key ... " lt_csv should be sorted table with key, or you should try to use binary search
      if sy-subrc eq 0.
        ...change required lt_dbitab fields: <fs>-comp = <fs_csv>-comp...
      endif.
    endloop.
ant then you can do mass-update
    update dbtab from table lt_dbitab.
From performance view, this solution should be much faster than iterating lt_csv directly and updating every single database record

  • Memory record in SAP

    Hello,
I found when I log in SAP, the system sometimes can call back my previous log in record. eg:just press one letter can be call in a whole full name. How to cancel this action?
BTY, I try to log in through two computer. One can call up the previous record ,another cann't.
    Why makes different?
    Reward if helpful!
    Thanks

    Dear Ling Jhang,
    1) This happens due to the frontend settings.
From any screen on SAP you will see on the top right a small square with green/red/blue lines in it.
Choose the above icon -> Options -> Choose the tab Local data,
Here, you will find that below the 'History' block ''ON'' is selected.
    Change it to ''OFF''.
    Logout from SAP.
    Login again.
You will not find any more history shown when you put the focus or cursor on a particular field, or when you press backspace etc...
    2) This history will not appear on someone elses computer other than your because its stored locally in your computer. The other computer will show the history based on whats stored in the local cache there.
    **Directory for local data
This is the directory to store the input history and the cache files. The directory must exist and you must be able to write to it.
The history files like SAPLocalData.mdb and SAPLocalData.ldb will be stored direct under this directory.
The cache files will be stored under its subdirectories SAP_Cache_/Cache1, SAP_Cache_/Cache2 etc..
Pls reward points if you find the answer useful.
    Thanks,

  • Changing the label of a field in SAP GUI

    Hello SAP Guys,
I would like to change the label of a field in SAP GUI.
I already did it internally because for that field the Shor Text of the label changed:
I went to SE11, and wrote down the appropriate data element, through Translation I changed the entries of SCRTEXT_L, SCRTEXT_M and SCRTEXT_S and activated this change after saving.
It is very strange that after making sure that the
Short Text of that field was changed, I went to trx BP and I could see that the label didn´t change.
I´ll appreciate any help you can give me,
    Regards,
    Efrain

    Hi Efrain,
Can you tell me in which screen did you make the screen.
Moreover the changes are not reflected immediately.
What you can try is to create a new record of the transaction in which you changed the label and save the recore. After this try to close the session and reopen the transaction and this should work.
The reason is the label on the screen are not picked up from the data element everytime but from buffer. So when you create a record this updates the database table entry and can also refresh the buffer.
I had the same problem in BP transaction and the above solution worked.
Let me know if this helps.
    Jash.

  • URGENT: Selecting only 25 records at a time from a table

    URGENT !!!!
    Hi,
Im having a RFC which selects records from a table (say table_A) and depending on these selected records, further processing is done within that RFC.
Now my problem is, this table_A contains around 200 matching records. Due to this entire logical processing consumes lot of time. Hence my RFC is taking huge time to produce result. (apprx 10 mins).
Can i select these matching records in batch of 25 and display result for these 25 records??
I'll give this batch size as input to RFC?
Do anybody have any idea about how to tackle this situation and reduce response time?
If u hav any better solution than this then pls pls let me know ASAP..
    Regards,
    Amey

    Amey Mogare  ,
Do One thing , create  a new importing parameter in your RFC , say current_trans_id. NOw on the first call pass the initial value for current_trans_id.
then inside the logic .. change the select to
select upto 25 rows where trnascation id > current_trans_id.
next time when u call teh rfc.. send the last selected id as a value for current_trans_id.
i think you can some how use this logic

  • Changing row selection of a af:table component in a managed bean

    Hi,
how can ich programmatically change the selected row of a <af:table> component within a managed bean class?
I have a table which depends on the date settings of a <dvt:timeSelector> of a <dvt:lineGraph> component. Now when the timeSelector is moved to new dates the table should be refreshed by executing the query for the table again with the new dates. The problem is when the query of the table's view object is executed again the first row will be automatically selected after executing.
Now I want to achieve that the last row I have selected will be selected again after moving the time selector.
I searched already in the OTN Discussion Forum but didn't find a fitting solution.
    Thanks in advance!

The problem is that executing the query moves the current roe to the first one.
What you can do is to save the current row (its pk), execute the query and then set the current row to the pk of the saved selected one. Set the table attribute displayRow="selected" and set the selected row of the table to the now current row.
One problem is that you have to be sure the last selected row is still in the record set of the new query result.

  • Change the info. in control record?

    hi...
how 2 change the information in control record? Not in ALE?
    bye.

you can use the various options in the IDoc adapter and change the info in the control record.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/96/791c42375d5033e10000000a155106/content.htm
    The options like;
    1. <b>Apply Control Record Values from Payload</b>
If you set the indicator, the conversion of communication parties to the IDoc partner is only possible for systems that are not logical systems.
If you do not set the indicator, all combinations of communication parties and services are handled as services without party.
If the IDoc XML structure contains a control record during outbound processing on the Integration Server, it is rejected and created again by the IDoc adapter. If you want to include additional values in the control record, set the indicator and provide an appropriate mapping for the values.
    <b>Take Sender from Payload</b>
If you want to take the sender of the message from the payload and not from the configuration information in the Integration Directory, set this indicator.
If you do not set the indicator, the information is taken from the configuration in the Integration Directory.
    <b>Take Receiver from Payload</b>
If you want to take the receiver of the message from the payload and not from the configuration information in the Integration Directory, set this indicator.
If you do not set the indicator, the information is taken from the configuration in the Integration Directory.

  • Change JDBC select SQL query's where clause at runtime

    Hi,
I have one JDBC sender channel with Select SQL Query which helps in fetching data from JDE table. We have defined where clause to fetch some particular records i.e. if ABC = NULL then fetch the record.. and then update query is used to turn that flag to "Y" i.e. ABC ="Y" so that next time the channel don't pick the same records again.
Now the problem is that if we want to fetch some records again whose flag has been set to "Y" we cannot change the select query again and again in the production environment.
Is there any way to change the select query of the JDBC channel at runtime e.g. Picking up some flat file where the conditions for the particular records to be picked are defined (ID=123) and changing the WHERE clause of select query in the JDBC channel for those records to be picked without using BPM.
    Thank you!
    With regards,
    Simran

    Hi Simran,
Yes, it is possible with the help of store procedure. In SQL Server there is a IF-Else Conditional block, which you can use inside store procedure. Create a SP with 2 additional parameter something like FlagReadAgain and KeyField. Pass the flag always as True or False. For the Key field pass the record key which you want to read again if you are passing the Flag as True else pass it as 0 or whatever.
In the procedure check if the value of flag is True -> If yes, Read the entry with key name specified in where part.
In the else part put the query which you are using for the normal flow.
    IF (FlagReadAgain) = TRUE
    BEGIN
       SELECT EmpName, EmpAddress
       FROM Employee
       WHERE EmpID = 'E001'
    END
    ELSE
       BEGIN
         SELECT EmpName, EmpAddress
         FROM Employee
         WHERE Status = 'N'
       END
You may also use the approach which Srini mentioned. Create an application to restore any value to intial stage so that it can be picked up by XI when it poll again.
Choose any approach which you like.

  • ESS Workplace - Change Default Selection Period

    Hi All,
We are on 4.6C, using Workplace 2.1.1 on ESS.
Through ESS, we want to display all items under "SAP Office -> Outbox -> Started Workflows" (and also "Work Items Executed by Me").
The default seems to be 30days.
Our SAP Office (Workplace) on ESS does not have any buttons or toolbar options for users to change the "Selection Period".
My question: Where is this default period set? How can I change it for ESS (eg to be 90 days instead of 30days)?
Is there a setting in the IMG (SPRO)?
Please, I really hope you can help.
    Cheers,

    Hi Tom,
unfortunatelly this function is hard coded in BWSP, there is no option to change the date in customizing or somewhere else, only in coding:
           l_seldate = sy-datum - 30.
                CALL FUNCTION 'SWI_OUTBOX_CREATE'
                     EXPORTING
                          seldate      = l_seldate
                          folrg        = w1_fol
                     TABLES
                          worklist     = worklist
                  STATUSFILTER =
                     EXCEPTIONS
                          READ_FAILED  = 1
                          OTHERS       = 2
The problem that BWSP is not developed in the future, what you can do is to change the standard... SAP does not recommend to do thatof course.
I hope I could help you!
