Change item programmatic skin at runtime

AS3 lets you programatically skin a class. For example, on
MenuBar control. you can tell an instance of a menuBar which skin
to use when a mouse clicks on it, with the following line:
myMenuBar.SetStyle("itemDownSkin",
myProgrammaticSkinClassName);
However, let's say you want to change to another class after
the menubar has already been created? At this point the SetStyle
function has no effect as the menubar has continues to display a
cached appearance of itself. It seems your only option is to
destroy the existing control and recreate it with the new style.
Is there a more straightforward way to dynamically change the
skin of a control after it has been created?
Thanks to anyone out there! ed

Hello,
You cannot change the width of a field at runtime.
You can use the elasticity property. The field size will be
increased according to its content.

  • Change item background color on runtime

    Hello
    i have a List control in my application. What do I have to do
    to change its items background color on runtime?
    Thanks

    You have to access the style of the object and then set the
    piece of the style you want to change. You need to set
    backgroundColor.
    myList.setStyle("backgroundColor", "#ABABAB");
    #ABABAB is grey, and you can put any hex color value there
    you like.
    Hope that helps.

  • How can I change the state of a runtime menu item programatically?

    Using LabView 6.1, I would like to change the state of the runtime menu item "Operate/Print at completion".
    The goal here is to print the VI front panel according to the operator choice (OK ->print, Cancel ->don't print)
    In a first release, I put a Stop function at the dialog output (activated by the cancel button) but this function stop the complete application and my idea where to stop only the VI in which the dialog is running.
    In a second release, I've tried to use the "Application
    control/Menu" but I receive every time an error:
    Error 88 occured at Cannot modify application menu item in the printtest.vi.
    Possible reasons: LabView, Runtime menu error...
    Any suggestion is appreciated.
    Re
    gards,
    phidu

    Instead of using the print at completion option, print the VI programatically if the user selects to print...open a reference to the VI you want to print and use an invoke node to print vi to printer.
    Alternatively create another VI with a layout optimized for printout, set it to print at completion and run and load the data into that VI if and only if the user OKs the print...

  • How to dynamically changes items properties

    How to dynamically changes items properties likes position order in tabular view, width, prompt

    Many object properties can be set programmatically at runtime. For example, each window object has a Visible property that can be set to either Yes or No to show and hide the window. At runtime, you can call the built-in procedure SET_WINDOW_PROPERTY to show or hide the window dynamically, as shown here:
    Set_Window_Property('my_window',VISIBLE, PROPERTY_ON);
    The following built-in procedures are available for setting object properties at runtime:
    -     SET_BLOCK_PROPERTY
    -     SET_CANVAS_PROPERTY
    -     SET_FORM_PROPERTY
    -     SET_ITEM_PROPERTY
    -     SET_LOV_PROPERTY
    -     SET_MENU_ITEM_PROPERTY
    -     SET_PARAMETER_ATTR
    -     SET_RADIO_BUTTON_PROPERTY
    -     SET_RECORD_PROPERTY
    -     SET_RELATION_PROPERTY
    -     SET_VIEW_PROPERTY
    -     SET_WINDOW_PROPERTY
    The built-in procedure SET_ITEM_PROPERTY can be used to set the properties of any type of item, including buttons, text items, check boxes, radio groups, etc.
    Note: Radio group items include individual radio buttons; use SET_ITEM_PROPERTY to set the properties of the radio group, and SET_RADIO_BUTTON_PROPERTY to set the properties of the individual buttons in the group.
    Each built-in SET procedure has a corresponding GET function that allows you to programmatically determine the current setting of an object's properties. The following example uses GET_WINDOW_PROPERTY to determine if a window is currently hidden (VISIBLE = FALSE). If the window is hidden, SET_WINDOW_PROPERTY is called to show the window.
    If Get_Window_Property('my_window',VISIBLE) = 'FALSE' THEN
    Set_Window_Property('my_window',VISIBLE,PROPERTY_ON);
    To determine if a particular property can be set programmatically, refer to the property descriptions in online Help.

  • How do I apply programmatic skins for completely custom drawn components of a Flex library project?

    Hello folks,
    I am looking for best practices advice when (1) creating
    custom components and (2) styling and skinning.
    I already know how to skin a component part of the Flex
    framework. I can make a class extending ProgrammaticSkin and have
    my component skinned using CSS to link the component with the
    reference to my custom class.
    However what about those cases when you are completely
    creating a component from scratch?
    Imagine a "Freehand Drawing Canvas" component that allows the
    user to draw on it and has some buttons to set color styles, line
    styles, etc., or imagine a "Screen Flow Gallery" component that
    displays visual objects in a fashion similar to Cover Flow in the
    Mac.
    In many components I am aware you may reuse other components
    part of the Flex framework but I am trying to picture an scenario
    where you would need to draw everything yourself because there just
    isn't something to base it upon so you will end up drawing it from
    scratch.
    To learn how instead of building one of those components I
    mentioned previously I decided to start with something simple that
    would illustrate this like a LiteButton component that will behave
    just like the Flex mx.controls.Button but will extend UIComponent
    and be completely custom drawn.
    The component will have a default look and will also be
    style-able and skin-able. I will provide styles for users of the
    component to modify and regarding skinning anyone can create a
    custom ProgrammaticSkin adding its own drawing logic and link it to
    the component via CSS with the ClassReference applied to the skin
    selector.
    So far so good and it's clear what I want to achieve. I
    actually know how to do most of the stuff here but I have one
    single problem.
    Here is my question, where should I put my custom drawing
    logic? If I do it in the updateDisplayList inside the class
    extending UIComponent it works, however I thought that it would be
    a better practice to do it using programmatic skins, that way I
    could provide different skin themes for my component set.
    The problem is that I can't make the programmatic work in
    this scenario. I tried instantiating the custom programmatic skin
    during the updateDisplayList of the LiteButton component and adding
    it to my display object via addChild but that didn't do anything. I
    also tried creating a "default.css" stylesheet and tried to use
    ClassReference as I would normally do to skin an already existing
    component (or composite component as well) but that didn't do
    anything either.
    So how do I apply programmatic skins for completely custom
    drawn components of my Flex library project?
    I could do it inside the updateDisplayList of the LiteButton
    class extending UIComponent but again I would like to provide
    different theme sets for my components so it makes sense using
    programmatic skins.

    These aren't mutually exclusive. When you provide a skin with
    a
    TypeSelector, you have to add it to the display list
    somewhere, and this is
    typically done in updateDisplayList or addChildren. I prefer
    to do it in
    updateDisplayList, because you can then change it if the
    style changes.

    I've never had any problem using an approach similar to
    this...but I will
    say that I couldn't see any advantage in creating a
    default.css style sheet,
    since it's not really default in the way that the one that
    comes with Flex
    is. It's much more obvious to anyone using your component
    what's going on
    there if you create a style sheet where they're likely to
    spot it.

    It seems like your approach is fine, but maybe you've made a
    mistake in your
    implementation.

    You might want to consider also adding an instance of
    HaloBorder to your
    component. That brings a lot of functionality with it.

  • Change item level security using wwsbr_api.modify_item

    Hi.
    Im using wwsbr_api.modify_item for change item level security.
    Its code for change type access for item of my procedure
    l_masterid := portal30.wwsbr_api.modify_item(
    p_master_item_id => 7061,
    p_item_id => 7062,
    p_caid => 136,
    p_folder_id => 1,
    p_display_name => 'test',
    p_region_id => 5,
    p_access_level => portal30.wwsbr_api.item_access,
    p_text => 'test change item security',
    p_addnewversion => true, -- My content area have item versioning
    level is audit
    After execute my procedure access type = folder.
    I see in wwv_things table new record
    masterthingid = 7061,
    id = 7064,
    security = 'folder'
    How to change item level security programmatically?
    Thanks

    Jerry,
    Please forgive me for persisting with this, and thankyou for your continued patience, but let me try to explain the issue I'm having in another way...
    I have a function that calls wwsbr_api.modify_item to change, say, the description. In this case "description" is the one and only thing I want to change about the item. As you've described above, I am able to query most things associated with the item (via wwsbr_all_items, wwsec_api.grantee_list, etc) so that I can pass current values to the wwsbr_api.modify parameters. However, I haven't found a way to query the current level of access control for a given item (i.e. wether it is currently set to ITEM_ACCESS, FOLDER_ACCESS, or null). As documented, I can force the item to be ITEM_ACCESS or FOLDER_ACCESS. However, I don't want to force a value and as we have concluded, passing null will nullify the current state.
    So, in summary, an answer to this question will solve my problem:
    Is it possible to query the current access control level of an item (either directly via one of the published views or indirectly via one of the views)?
    If the answer is yes - great that solves my problem. How please?!?!?
    If the answer is no - this must be a bug is it would mean that it isn't possible to use wwsbr_api.modify_item without inadvertently altering the current access control level of the item.
    Again thanks for your patience...

  • Sharepoint list not letting edit/add items programmatically

    Hello,
    I have a SP List which I need to update and edit items programmatically (I'm using InfoPath).
    I coded the solution, tested in many others lists and the code does work. But when I test using the list I actually need to use it just doesn't let me to do any operation. I wonder if there is any configuration that might be set which doesn't allow
    people to programmatically  change the list.
    Some points:
    - This list was created in another SP site and has been exported as template to another. Is that possible that anything could be occurred during the export operation?.
    - I have created an InfoPath form template to add a new item to this list, If I need to add/update an item manually I can do this without any problems.
    -I checked the fields that cannot be blank and I'm filling all of them, so I don't think that's the problem.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Best Practice: Dynamically changing Item-Level permissions?

    Hi all,
    Can you share your opinion on the best practice for Dynamically changing item permissions?
    For example, given this scenario:
    Item Creator can create an initial item.
    After item creator creates, the item becomes read-only for him. Other users can create, but they can only see their own entries (Created by).
    At any point in time, other users can be given Read access (or any other access) by an Administrator to a specific item.
    The item is then given edit permission to a Reviewer and Approver. Reviewers can only edit, and Approvers can only approve.
    After the item has been reviewed, the item becomes read-only to everyone.
    I read that there is only a specific number of unique permissions for a List / Library before performance issues start to set in. Given the requirements above, it looks like item-level permission is unavoidable.
    Do you have certain ideas how best to go with this?
    Thank you!

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to change item level permission.
    There is no out of the box way to accomplish this with SharePoint.
    You can create a custom permission level using Visual Studio to allow users to add & view items, but not edit permission.
    Then create a group with the custom permission level. The users in this group would have the permission of create & add permission, but they could no edit the item.
    In the CodePlex, there is a custom workflow activities, but by default it only have four permission level:
    Full Control , Design ,Contribute and Read.
    You should also customize some permission levels for your scenario.
    What’s more, when use the SharePoint 2013 designer, you should only use the 2010 platform to create the workflow using this activities,

  • PO issue :What should we do to close the PO or change item quantity?

    Hi Everyone,
    I am new to MM.I got an issue saying that there is some mismatch with quantity in the particular PO. User wants to cancel/close the PO system but it is not allowing to do so. To change the quantity is also  good, but while trying to change item quantity system is giving the following error message.
    Quantity 1000 is smaller than quantity issued 2000.
    To close the PO or change item quantity what should I need to do?
    A help will be highly appreciated
    Regards,
    sharon.

    Hi,
    It is of the standard functionality of SAP to verify the GR and IR against PO quantity when you try to close your related PO line item.  It ensures data consistency for your PO and PO history.  What you should do is very much subject to the status of your PO history (i.e. how many you have already GRed and/or IRed).  Check it again in your PO history tab of the PO item details level prior to making any further action on how your PO line item quantity shall be adjusted.  A particular example is if GR was done for the quantity of 2,000, you can't simply adjust your PO quantity into 1,000 as it goes against the logic whereby the GR quantity (and/or IR quantity) must be no larger than PO quantity.
    Cheers,
    HT

    If you didn’t erase the drive and install using you AppleID, then the OS and the purchased apps are still registered to the other AppleID. You cannot change that by logging into iCloud. Apps are forever tied to the AppleID used to purchase/download them.
    You have to erase the drive and download/install the Apps using your AppleID.

  • Change item categories purchasing

    Hello,
    I found thread 1582236 via google. It nicely explains how to get the "invoice receipt" flag out of the purchase order by default (text below). I tried to change the customizing like described via IMG path:
    Materials Management>Purchasing>Define External Representation of item catagories>0/Standard
    But for me this customizing for "Define External Representation of Item Categories" is all in grey. I am not able to add new items categories or to change the existing ones.
    So can it be, that it is not possible to change item cats attributes ("Define External Representation of Item Categories") for purchase orders, or can someone confirm that it is changeable?
    Thanks
    Hi Ashish,
    Basically when you talk about procurement, it is always chargeable (that means purchasing of materials or services mostly purchased at a certain price. That means when it is chargeable, defnetly there must be invoice (accounts payable to vendor) for that perticular item (that can be for material or a service) in the purchase order.
    In above, case the Invoice Receipt Indicator is set (indicator set automatically) in the Invoice Tab of the Item details in the PO. And that specifies whether an invoice receipt is linked to the purchase order item.
    Note: If the Invoice indicator is not set, the means goods are to be delivered free of charge.
    And the above is based on the default configuration that is available in the system, but it can be customized as per your specifications, is as follows:
    Steps for that configuration setup:
    --> Display IMG (SPRO)
    --> Materials Management
    --> Purchasing
    --> Define External Representation of item catagories (click it)
    --> Here you can set the IR indicator depending on the type of procurement for the Item catageory (lie, std, thridparty,etc)
    --> click it, by choosing the required combination of item cat(internal) : item cat(external)
    and, in the control: invoice receipt
    set the Invoice Receipt (this is only an indicator and it specifies that the PO item is chargeable and is to be invoiced. But it can be changeable (remove or set the flag) by user (when the item is delivered free of cost), it is just a link for PO item.
    And there is one more indicator IR indicator firm.
    there are TWO options:
    --> firm in PO (if you set this indicator, user can not change while creating or changing the PO)
    --> changeable in PO (if this indicator is set, it can be changeable if requires at the time of creation or change of PO through ME21N /ME22N)
    And also
    --> Display IMG (SPRO)
    --> Materials Management
    --> Purchasing
    --> Maintain account assignment categories (click it)
    And here, also you can set the same by choosing your required /specific account assignment categories combination.
    Note: If you set the Invoice Receipt indicator in the CONFIGURATION (that is in Display IMG) and this will effect to the entire process for all users. So, please goahead by keeping all these things in your mind and in concern with the team.
    Hope it clarifies you,
    Regards,
    Srin

    yes I can confirm what JouLes wrote. But you can only change what I told you before.
    if you can do customizing on anything else, then you should be able to do it here too, there is no authorization object for a specific IMG area or knot. either you have authorization for customizing or not.
    Are you in a developement client? In production client it is not possible to do this customizing.

  • How to create spark skins using fxg vector graphics&how to switch b/w spark skins at runtime/via XML

    Hi,
    I want to create a number of Spark Skins using some vector images that I have with me. I can obtain the vector images in FXG format-- but what I am looking for is some way to quickly create multiple skins for various UI elements like buttons, menus, radio button, checkboxes, etc -- not by converting the fxg->mxml but by using fxg files directly (after including them in the skins project in Flash Builder 4.6). Since I want to create many such skins (atleast 8-10) what is the fastest way of accomplishing this?
    Also, once I create multiple Spark Skins, how do I switch from one skin to another, in a running app? -- something like a template switcher, where the user viewing the flex app chooses a color, and the spark skin is immediately changed to the skin of that color (I would have already created the skin...). And can I store this skin template value in an XML? So that the end user can simply change this param in XML to change the design of the flex app?
    Arvind.

    Follow-up:
    Out of pure wishful thinking I decided I would just see what happened if I pretended 'exportFXG' was already a part of JSFL. Based on the signature of 'exportPNG', i tried the following lines:
      var success = fl.getDocumentDOM().exportFXG("file:///C:/mySymbol.fxg");
      fl.trace("success:"+success); // output: success:true
    It worked! Fantastic! I'm not sure if exportFXG is considered still in "beta" and therefore intentionally excluded from the docs, or if it was just an oversight. But at least it gives us something to experiment with.

    Hi everyone
    Issue: Can not change item category in delivery order.

    You can  the item category field (VBAP-PSTYV)  editable , if item is configurable (item category TAC), then change item category to TAS.
    by using include  MV45AFZZ -  FORM USEREXIT_FIELD_MODIFICATION.
    when screen 4001 or 4003.

    hi.
    Ketan
    As u r saying that you can take drop down of the assign item catagory there then only one possibility is left that u have deliver some of the qty from the order. So system is not allowing u to change item catagory.
    Please check have u made any delivery from that sales order.
