Change itunes window content size and layout

If I use any app, I can resize the window, and resize the contents. And change between boxes and lists. By clicking on the "view" tab on the toolbar menu.
Where is the information on how to change the view of the itunes app window on computer? I don't want huge boxes taking up 3/4 of my screen, that I have to scroll to even see. I want lists, and a resizeable window LIKE ANY OTHER APP. Cannot find ability to change this ANYWHERE! Please! What clever person thought this up and does apple at least give users the ability to change it??? And put it in the "view" toolbar menu, like other apps do, so we can find it? Duh. This takes up nearly my whole screen:

Well i generate a report which has two three columns.....
1) Description
2) Column 1 for fiscal year 2009
3) Column 2 for fiscal year 2008 for comparison
Here after these columns we have unformated space as a column.
Now we tried to hide this column but the system is not allowing to hide this.
How can we remove this unformatted column/space from the print output.

Cannot view quicktime window normal size and still see controls!

I cannot view quicktime window normal size and still see control butttons (pause, play etc.)
I search this forum and found another previous similar question, but the answer. (To use control+0, which would make it half-size.), is not what I need.
What I need is to have a nice fuller size view, (not the narrow little half-size), but any way i find of doing that hides the controls below the bottom of my screen!
I cannot resize it from any side, except the bottom r. corner, which is hidden with these desireable fuller options.

Update: this was my mistake - I had neglected to configure all the view containers in the WebDynproCO window, which was generated by adding the GP interface to the component. All is well.

I downloaded latest update of iTunes (windows 7, 64bit) and have now the problem runtime error R6025 pure virtual function call (Microsoft Visual C runtime library) - Who would have a solution to that problem? Thanks *********

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it, which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

Change font size and layout of reports in Report painter

Hi,
I want to change the print layout and the fonts of reports created in Report Painter.
In the print output i am getting 40% of the total screen
My requirement is to increase the font size and the print layout to fullscreen so that the report layout fits to the page.

Windows Profile size and AIR?

Hello,
I have been trying to install TweetDeck and it uses Adobe AIR, when I do though my Windows Profile size becomes to big and I get an error. We currently limit our user profile sizes.
Is there a way I can change where files from AIR are stored so that they are not stored in the profile area, and just to the C:\ instead?

This sounds like an option that TweetDeck could implement on their side. I haven't tried this myself, but here's a Windows tweek for changing the location of appdata via the registry.

I'm having a similar problem on an iPhone 4. I receive Hotmail messages, but cannot send them successfully. I get an error message stating: "Cannot Send Mail. The user name or password for "SMTP:[email address]@smtp.live.com" is incorrect."
If the user name or password is incorrect, how can I still receive emails? That makes no sense.
I've updated my new Hotmail password under Email Settings, and even deleted the account and started over. That was no help.

Customizing page size and layouts

Three topics:
CUSTOM PAGE SIZE. There have been lots of requests for the ability to set custom sizes. One "easy" way would be to create page margins in the same way that padding allows cell margins. This way, a user can create (for example) a 10.5x9.5 "page" on a 12x12 platform. Particularly for those of us printing our own, it's one way to allow customization. All of the built-in layouts would then have to be scaled to fit within the page margins.
If this is done, the next logical extension would be to add a few common paper sizes to the Book Settings. This way, a user could create virtually any page size. For example 14W11H on a 13x19 sheet.
COPYING LAYOUTS. Would also be great to "copy-paste" layouts. After I pick a starting layout and then adjust cell padding, move captions, change fonts, and so forth, I'd like to replicate that elsewhere. In fact, I'm trying to create a left-page/right-page 11x11 on the 12x12 platform using cell padding, and it would be great to copy my customized "left-page" layout to all the left pages.
HIGH-QUALITY PRINT YOUR OWN. I've not yet tried printing via exported pdf on my local printer. Will it be as high resolution and as well color managed as if I printed directly from the Print module? I use icc profiles (some from vendors, some custom created) specific to each paper. I've now spent a lot of time narrowing choices of dual-sided paper to print my own books and I don't want to lose that capability.

Printing from the exported PDF. The quality I get is exactly just as good as printing any file directly.
I have two methods but they are for my Mac system, but I guess you can interpret them if you are on windows.
1 Set the desired parameters for the PDF in the book module (quality, profile to embed etc) and export to a folder
2 import into Photoshop and adjust the parameters if necessary
In Photoshop "save as" whatever file you wish which you can then print normally from PS or else import into LR and print with profiles from there
3 Printing from the PDF by opening in Adobe Reader, setting Page Setup and then "file-Print"
In Mac choose your paper preset, and under Copies and Pages drop down menu you can find print settings (color adjustment "off" etc.) and under color matching on Mac I choose Color Sync, and "Other Profiles"
which shows me all my custom paper profiles

Another simple way on the Mac is to <right click> or <Control click> on the PDF file and choose "Open with Preview" It's important to choose the correct color profile in the Book Module before exporting to PDF so that the correct profile is used in Preview

Hi i have an iphone 5 which i am trying to sync with itunes. I have windows 8 pro installed on my pc. I plug in my phone but does not appear in itunes.
I also have the new ipad and an ipod classic both show in itunes with no problems.
All software is up to date on my phone and i have the latest version of itunes installed.
All any any help would be appreciated

With iMovie 10 how do I change the movie file size and type.

I have recently upgraded to iMovie 10. It takes some getting used to but I think I will like the new product. After creating my first few movies and trying to upload them to dropbox, it is taking a long time. Comparing the files to ones created in the previous version they are larger, and I need to know how we adjust the file size to the device the movies will be used for. I don't need high resolution files. It looks like you can change the size in file for share but still a large file and only compatible with Mac and PC others are greyed out. Files are much larger than the files generated in the old version.

This is one of the areas where the options have been reduced compared to iMovie 9. If you share to File, you should have Large (540p) and SD (480p) options in addition to the HD ones.
I'm not sure exactly which menu it is where you are finding greyed-out options.
What is the native format of the movie you are saving?
If you can't share directly into the format you want you should be able to post-process the shared file with a third-party app.

Change presenter note font size and edit notes in slideshow mode

Hi, I just switched to Keynote 5.03 and am still learns its features. I have some questions about the slideshow mode of keynote
1. While in slideshow rehearsal mode with presenter notes showing, is there a way to zoom in on the notes to make the text bigger as you can in Powerpoint, which allows you to zoom up to 400%? This is handy: I can magnifying the notes without having to change its font size, hence no need to exit the slideshow mode.
2. Powerpoint lets you edit the text of notes on the fly during a slideshow ("view presenter tool" mode), is there a way to do this in Keynote?
3. The slide thumnails (allow you to jump to a certain slide) on top of the presenter screen are always very fuzzy, is it possible to increase the resolution to get a higher quality image?

I believe that all of these are limitations of the current version of Keynote.

Ipod change from Windows to Mac, and restore freeze, no iPod Preferences

hello. am having some problems. previously, i was using my iPod with iTunes for Windows. As I now have a MacBook, I have the latest iTunes and have all of my songs in the library.
When I first plugged my iPod in, it recognised the iPod model, software etc, and i clicked on the restore function. iTunes stopped responding, and so I forced quit. Each time i now plug the iPod in, it appears on my desktop, but not on the device panel in iTunes, so I have not been able to get to my iPod preferences to reset. I have tried to reset the iPod iteself but this does not seem to have helped.
If anyone can offer me any help, would really appreciate.

Hey, not a dumb ?, in fact a good ?......nope, I did not install any software at all, I just figured the imac would recognize it automatically.
We also got a brand new ipod nano, not the new video one, the older one, it was a back to school promo thing, anyways, I got that one all setup no problem, just plugged it in and was good to go.
So I have to install some software on the mac for the mini?
Been doing more reading, sounds like I might have to erase the memory of the mini somehow, not sure how?? But what about my 1200 songs on the PC, how do I get those over to the mac and into itunes?

Changing List's item renderer and layout causes exception

I have buttons in my UI to switch a list between a tile view (thumbnails) and a list view (details).
This code works:

This code doesn't:
     var layout:VerticalLayout = new VerticalLayout();
     resultsList.layout = layout;

It's not the item renderer's fault, I can use the tile renderer again in the second block of code and it will still explode. If I swap the VerticalLayout for a TileLayout, it works fine. HorizontalLayout explodes.

Switch to a BasicLayout while changing the itemRenderer, then apply the VerticalLayout afterwards.

Can you change the TOC font size and pane size?

I am using RH 9 to generate WebHelp whose output is ultimately being viewed by a QT browser on a Linux platform machine. In my WebHelp settings, I am using "(Traditional style -no skin)" and using "Show/hide navigation pane" in my topic navigation.
Because of the small size screen that it is being viewed on, the default TOC pane size is too big (takes up half the screen), and the TOC font is too small (defaults to 10 pt). I can't seem to find any where in the RH UI to change these two settings. Does anyone know the specific output file(s) where these are being stored so can I change these settings manually? I know that if I manually change them outside of RH, I'll need to do it every time file I publish my help system, but that's an acceptable workaround to me, given the importance of this issue to me.

Options for changing the window's size

Hello,
I want to create a window which is not resizable and that its maximize button is disabled. I know I can use the setResizable method to make it unresizable, but how can I disable the maximize button?

You can't have the max/mim buttons disabled, except to
let the L&F do the window decorations and dig thru the
components of the window til you find the buttons that
it uses.how about

You could probably add a sneaky onResize function in the BODY tag of your new window which would just set it back to the size you want whenever anyone resized it (including using the maximise button). Should work, haven't tried it though.
