Change java parameter dinamically

Hi all!
I've created a java module (JDialog) which is called FROM an external third-part application and my problem is that to execute my java code i need :
-Dswing.noxp=true parameter when I launch java.
but i cannot change java parameters of this external application. Can i change this parameter dinamically from my Java code?

If you are using absolute positioning, and/or forcing the size of the dialog, then the buttons might not show as they would be pushed of the side of the Window.

go to ''firefox > help > troubleshooting information'', click on ''profile folder/show folder'' and close all firefox windows afterwards. a windows explorer window should open up - in there delete the file named '''user.js'''.

How can I change java.policy at runtim on client machines using java webst?

I have to change java.policy to launch my application through webstart to provide one RuntimePermission "permission java.lang.RuntimePermission "getClassLoader";"
Its because of a bug in java bug "_http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=4809366_"
So, my problem here is, how can I do this dynamically on each client machine's java.policy.
I have spent time on this and found some alternatives
1. Specifying an Additional Policy File at Runtime by launching application "java -Djava.security.manager -Djava.security.policy=someURL SomeApp"

But, here the problem is, how can I do this using webstart (expert.jnlp) file even though I have the "java-vm-args" tag, its not supporting this argument.

My application downloads a few jars to the client machines using java webstart and then it will get the initial context using the t3 protocal. The jars include wlclient.jar and ojdbc6.jar initially.
The problem here I was facing, when I tried request a bean, it is giving me the following exception in the client logs.It is requesting one state less session bean and I checked the server logs as well and the bean has returned the expected values properly.
But here I observed one more thing, before this request, one session bean(state less) has been requested successfully.

The same is working in some other machine which are in different network. So, I have replaced the wlclient.jar with the wlthint3client.jar.
After replacing this jar I was getting the below exception in client logs while requesting a state less session bean.I also checked whether the request is reaching the server (bean) or not, but its not reaching the server.The problem is same at all the machines irrespective of the networks.

I have tried one more thing, I have taken all the required jars to one of the client machines and executed the main class (by setting the required class path) from cmd using java instead of javaws. Surprisingly, its working fine with out any problem using the wlthint3client.jar.
I also tried the same, by placing wlclient.jar using java in the same way(from cmd instead of javaws ), but I was facing the same exception while requesting the second session bean and found the same above exception in client logs.
To resolve this, I come across the java bug that I have given earlier "_http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=4809366_".
In that page, I found a work around for this; suggested by bea to add the Runtime permission "permission java.lang.RuntimePermission "getClassLoader";" to the clients java.policy
So, please suggest me a way to resolve this problem.
Please suggest me if you have any other solutions for this problem.

I still think your problem is nothing to do with that ancient non-bug and that you should be looking elsewhere. You might be lucky and find someone here who can say "Ah, I know what that is" but I doubt it because since Oracle took over Sun this site has gone down hill big time.

Parameter NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS Database ., Instance ,.
When I created database with wizard and in this moment I don't set spanish language, later I changed this parameters in instance parameters.
Now I want load data from a file to external table, but I've an error when I try load data with decimal point.
why does it use the database parameter instead of instance parameter?
Is possible to change this parameter?

How can I build EJB archive after changing java files?

hello,
I changed java beans file, and tried to build jar file again, then the "build EJB archive" context menu is disabled so I can not make EJB jar file!
So frustrated.. NWDS recognizes the changes in the java files , right? How come there 's no Build menu..
Is there any pre-requisite to enable the menu?
I have no idea how I can build jar file..

I think that in order to create a RPM, you'd need to
use some C.Nope - the RPM is all about packaging and the "magic" x.spec file. You can have anything you want in the RPM, but you have to use RPM tools to build the .rpm file. When to change COMPATIBLE parameter while upgrading to Oracle 11G

We are planning to upgrade from Oracle 10.2.0.4 on AIX to Oracle 11.2.0.2 soon.
While reading oracle upgrade documents and from oracle upgrade blog, it is mentioned that once we change compatible parameter,
we will not be able to catdwgrd.sql to downgrade.
However, if we don't change compatible parameter after an upgrade, all the testing efforts during upgrade process wont be complete
as we may need to do another round of testing after changing this value.
So what is the best time for changing this compatible parameter? 1 week or 2 weeks after upgrade?
We are considering catdwgrd.sql as our option to fallback if something goes wrong.

It's a difficult question. If your applications are validated with 11gR2, if your OS is certified to work with Oracle 11gR2, if you adjusted the requirements etc. it will work. Will it work 100% well ? Maybe not but downgrading is really an extreme solution. 11gR2 is a fully supported version and anyway you will obtain efficient support from Oracle if you encountered a bug etc.
If you have doubts change when you are sure every critical activity/charge you expect went well for example. We cannot know if it will be after 1 week or 2 weeks : it's up to you.

"On most systems, sizing the log buffer larger than 1M does not provide any performance benefit. Increasing the log buffer size does not have any negative implications on performance or recoverability. It merely uses extra memory.
The best method to determine if bigger redo buffer is needed is

The value of redo buffer allocation retries should be near zero over an interval. If this value increments consistently, then processes have had to wait for space in the redo log buffer. The value of this parameter is expressed in bytes. Alternatively, improve the checkpointing or archiving process.
Other than that, hight log file sync event indicate you need faster disk for your redo logfiles. However, please also post your commits per second and redo per second from your AWR report.
100M redo logs might be small for your environment.

i have this problem with my client and it seems it is common to all other projects : i have a report with parameters depending on each other (but curiously this happens also with reports without depending parameters and the order for which thay are created
counts!) and when the user changes one parameter the screen (sql reporting front-end) does a postback and refreshs! is this by design by microsoft ?! the client wants to keep the previous rendered report to help him build the new one.
how can i avoid this?

Do you know if is there a transaction/program to change BPC environment status (for example, a transaction/program that changes AVAILABLEFLAG parameter from table UJ0_PARAM_APP to "0" or "1").

How to change any parameter in gradient?

Why I can not change any parameter in an existing gradient?
For example: one pageitem have gradient and i can see (in vba locals) its parameters:
FillColor.Angles
FillColor.Matrix
FillColor.Origin
FillColor.Length
But nothing change.

setListVOBoundContainerColumn method can be used on poplist bean to set value from current row of table dynamically.

Please help me friends, present requirement is like this : change the Parameter into Select-Option.
Here they are using one function module, this function module import parameter taking single value, how loop this function module with in this select-option.
PARAMETERS p_fictr LIKE fmfctr-fictr.
START-OF-SELECTION.
Move the select options to internal tables (import parameter for fn)
move_sel_option : sel_buk   s_bukrs ,
                     sel_pern s_pernr ,
                     sreinr    s_reinr ,
                     spdatv    s_pdatv ,
                     sberei    s_berei .
Call the function to get all trips corresponding to sel criteria
CALL FUNCTION 'ZHR_GET_FUND_TRIPS'
    EXPORTING
      p_fictr = p_fictr
      p_sub   = p_sub
    TABLES
      s_bukrs = s_bukrs
      s_pernr = s_pernr
      s_reinr = s_reinr
      s_pdatv = s_pdatv
      s_berei = s_berei

You can first the field values using the select statement and then loop that internal table and pass the values to the function module.
try this

select-options: s_fictr for fmfctr-fictr.

Problem with starting Sun ONE Server after changing Java version

Hi
I installed Sun ONE Java Server 6.1 SP6 on Redhat Enterprise 4.0 64bit. This version uses java version "1.4.2_04" which is intalled in /opt/SUNWwbsvr/bin/https/jdk. With this configuration everything works ok. When I changed Java (/usr/java/jdk1.5.0_09) on version "1.5.0_09 (in server.xml) Sun One doesn't start. I have such error:
CORE3170: Configuration initialization failed: Error running init function load-modules: dlopen of /opt/SUNWwbsvr/bin/https/lib/libj2eeplugin.so failed (libjvm.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)
I checked file libjvm.so and it is in locations: /opt/SUNWwbsvr/bin/https/lib/ and /usr/java/jdk1.5.0_09/jre/lib/amd64/server.
Does anybody know what is wrong ???

You were right. I installed Java 1.5_10 and 1.6 32 bit version and SUN ONE works but i have some errors
