Finally I got it!
In order to have the job log in English, you have to modify also the locale language of Data Services using the SAP Data Services Locale Selector tool.

Error in Source system (Job is not going in to job log of CRM system)

We replicated datasources from CRM server in BI 7 server and they get replicated and are in Active version
All transactiond atasources which are 7.0 version are executing successfully, but the Datasources which are in 3.5 version i.e. Datasource for master data infoobject gives error while executing infopackage.
The error message is as follows:
"Diagnosis
     In the source system, there is no transfer structure available for
     InfoSource 0CRM_MKTMETA_ATTR .
System Response
     The data transfer is terminated.
Procedure
     In the Administrator Workbench, regenerate from this source system the
     transfer structure for InfoSource 0CRM_MKTMETA_ATTR ."
Also while executing the infopackage the job log in source system is not able to create the corresponding job.
Following action are already been taken:
1. Datasource replication
2. Confirmed that the Transfer Structure are avialable and are in ACTIVE state.

It seems some changes are taken place at Source System for the Mast.Data DS. Try to Recheck the Same at Source System -- Activate/Retranport the same.

External Operation Job Log

Hello all,
I can't seem to find additional information on this. I have written an exteranl operation in c# and I can run it from the portal without any issue. I know that standard error is supposed to be captured in the job log, however I can't seem to figure out how to write to standard error from a c# console application. Console.error doesn't seem to cut it.
I am using ALUI 6.0 sp1, but I dont' think this has changed much over the years. Has anybody written a c# external operation and been able to write to the job log?

You could just make it write to stdout and then redirect stdout to stderr like this: "dir 1>&2". I put that in a bat file in the scripts directory and then made the bat an external operation. It wrote to the job logs like this:

I don't think much has changed with this in the portal 6.x world, but it looks like stderr is definitely captured in wci 10.3. If there's a problem with an older version, start a support ticket to investigate a possible bug.

You can't currently transfer purchases/downloads from one account to another account.
When you download past purchases from an account then you will potentially tie the device (or computer if you do it on that) to that account for 90 days : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627
Have you got the ibooks already on your computer and/or on a backup so that you can sync them to your new iPhone ? If not then have you bought anything on your new account yet - could you go back to just using the old account ?

Reporting agent in BW 3.0b- Job log message is-No alert data found

I am using reporting agent in BW 3.0b to send and alert email to the user.
There is a query in which I have used one restricted key figure to calculate the exception. I am able to display this in the report. In Bex analyzer I am getting the value.
But When I schedule the package for Reporting agent I am getting in the job log as " No alert data has been found".
I searched sdn before posting and did not get proper solution for this.
Could you please let me know the use of expception in Reporting agent in BW 3.0b. Do I need to write any user exit for this???

Hi,
You can define threshold values (exceptions) for a query. Data that varies from these thresholds is highlighted in color or marked with icons. You can use these exceptions to identify deviations from expected results at a glance.
Defining and Changing Exceptions
1. In the Exceptions screen area, choose New Exception in the context menu. An entry with the default text Exception <Number> appears and you can edit the description directly.
2.In the context menu, choose Edit. The exception editor appears; it displays the relevant parts for the definition on tab pages.
You can also call the exception editor from the Properties screen area by choosing the Edit pushbutton.
3.      Make the required settings for the definition of the exception. For more information, see Definition of Exceptions.
4.      Choose OK. You return to the query definition.
5.      Choose Save Query.
Removing Exceptions from Queries
       1.      In the Exceptions screen area, select the relevant exception and choose Remove in the context menu.
       2.      Choose Save Query.
Result
You have defined or changed an exception for a query. Execute the query. The exception is evaluated online. The cell areas that are affected by the exception appear highlighted in the appropriate color or, where applicable, with icons in Web applications.
You can display the exception descriptions and activate or deactivate the exceptions you want.

DI Administrator not show job log content

We have installed BO Data Integrator 11.7 and also DI Management console. In Administrator we always loking in logs how jobs was processed, but after Job server removing and new adding, I can saw that batch job was runned(in batch job status list), but job log contain only message" Connection refused: connect" (trace/monitor pages) and I can see that it is linked to old job server log files location.
I tested repository parameters, tested DB connection - all are fine. Job server working, jobs running, but logs I can read only when I open Data Integrator Designer.
Before Job server name changes all working fine.
Can you help me to get back normal status here?

The logs are stored in a directory with the name of the job server. Since you changed the job server name the directory accessed does not contain the old job server logs.
I.e. [install path]\Log\[job server name]\[repository name]

How to activate job log creation when WPxx dies

Hi all,
Allmost daily one of our SAP work processes dies at OS level.
This leaves some locks open, which freezes the (productive) system for about 10 minutes.
Unfortunately, no OS log is created of this dying WP job.
SM21 only tells us that a WP died, not why.
So no root cause analysis can be done.
How do I trigger / activate the creation of an OS job log whenever a SAP R3 job dies / ends ?

I can see a SYSFAIL message in the job log, but I can't understand what it means?

what is the context?
I loaded data from R/3 to the ODS succesfully. Now, I want to pass the data from the ODS to an Infocube, so, I selected "Update ODS Data in Dta Target", and then I selected "Initial Update". Once in the Scheduler I check there was no prior init load. The only available "Processing" option is "Data Target Only", so I can't choose "PSA only". I check the Update Mode is Initialize Delta Process (grey), and I choose "Start later in background", with immediate start.
There is 140,000 records in the ODS.
The Update rule does nothing but passing the data up to the cube.
what is the sympthom?
Once the load is running, I can see the process working with SM50.
I check the monitor and the data is been read and written into the infocube, but the process is really slow.
After some time the monitor shows no changes, and the job log shows one or more messages like:
tRFC: Data package = 000003, TID = AC1403113BE243F0F3FE0009, duration = 00:10:18, ARFCSTATE = SYSFAIL
and some time later the monitor goes red by time out.
that's what is going on.

Suppress job log messages

Folks, we have a custom program that calls the BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE and it writes a number of information messages (like "Date is in the past", "Not possible to determine a batch", "PO number already exists", so on and so forth) which gets written to the job log. To clarify, when you go to SM37 and select your job and click Job Log, a number of these messages are shown which is generating such a huge log that our job gets cancelled due to its sheer size. Please note that this is not the SPOOL I am talking about.
I have tried to call the BAPI in several ways like using "DESTINATION 'NONE'", calling in background task, and also SUBMIT but I still haven't gotten any luck. The huge log is causing problems with one of our jobs and we need it for UAT next week. I have opened a note with OSS and we are running into administrative issues. We do not want to go the Call transaction route.
Is anybody familiar with this sort of issue? I searched everywhere and could not find anything similar or maybe I am not searching it right. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Greetson. What you have provided are Sales Order create BAPI's. The RETURN parameters are different from the log messages. Look at my code below. I have no write statements but the BAPI is writing out these. This is an uncommon situation for some. I would appreciate if you can point me to some FM which changes sales order. Thanks a lot.

Printing setting job log - can't save settings.

Hi, this problem's been around some time with my printing settings.
I am attaching the my setting image as below.
User ID & User Code when printing Color from my computer is '100109'.
I want to permanently save this numbers.
However, every time I try it appears as '100108'; may be my previous setting.
How can I save it as '100109'?

Your image shows that you are using the Presets menu. If the Preset of Color has been saved with a particular User ID/User Code (ex 100108), then delete this Preset and create a new Color preset using the number you want (100109).
To do this, with the Color preset selected, click on the Presets drop menu and select Delete. Then, change to the Job Log menu, enter your 100109 User ID and Code, and then click on the Presets drop menu again and select Save As. Give it the name of Color and click OK.
Now when you print and select the Color Preset, the Job Log menu should show the 100109 User ID & Code.

Display error message in batch job log

Hello
I have a batch job running and I have an error coming during some validation logic.
The problem is I need to continue the batch job when this error message comes and it should not cancel the batch job as it is doing currently but display that error message in batch job log, there are more similar error messages coming in job log and job gets finished, but when my error message comes job gets cancelled.
I cannot give it as info message as it will give wrong idea about message type.
Is there any FM by which we can add message in job log?

If you see in screenshot 3rd message is given by me as information and you can see error messages also 6th and 7th and job continued till it is finished
