Change labels language

Hi
I've installed LabVIEW 2009 Evaluation software(English) on my system. I want the names of labels of controls/indicators/constants in Deutch language. Is there any way doing it ?

The way that I have done this in the past is to save a list of words and their translations as a 2D array in a text file. You can then use the control references to set the control caption property to the apprrpriate language. You will need to create a way of searching your native language column in the array and returning the translated word.
This method allows you to add languages at a later date without changing your exe

You have to be aware that this will only change labels if you edit before adding quiz slides: Preferences, Quiz, Default Labels. You will have to edit the labels, choosing another language will not change them automatically.

Multi-Language - How to change labels and titles of standard iViews?

Hi Portal Content Management Gurus,
I would like to know how to translate the text parts of the standard SAP provided iViews in order to support multiple languages?
I tried the Translation Worklist Coordination and Translation Worklist facilities provided in the portal. But not able to figure out where I am making the mistake. I am not able to get the translated iViews. I also checked the "include dependent objects" option. But not able to find out where will the generated resource bundles will be available.
Can any body guide me?

Hi Saravanan,
I just tried changing the browser language. I am not able to see the "Content Provided by SAP" folder itself under the "Portal-Content" directory.
(1) Is there anything else I need to do in order to see that folder?
And when I try previewing the iViews after changing the browser language, still the iView content is displayed in English.
(2) Can I make a copy of this iView and edit change the language property to some other language say "German"? In that case, I will have to maintain multiple copies of the same object. But I tried creating a delta link copy of the object. But was not able to edit and change the language.
(3) Or do I have to edit it in the par file of the corresponding iView?

I am looking to do a program in netbeans 4.1 and I am looking for advice on how to create a set of methods on changing language to english to french and german. The labels are in english I wanna make this code a bean so I can change the language of the labels on the property sheet.
Does anyone have any ideas?

I have searched resource bundles for changing language and I have found two types of file,
1. 11 steps to install an unsupported language translation into the Portal that changes portal language
2. <%ORACLE_HOME%>\j2ee\OC4J_OCSClient\applications\ocsclient\ocsclient-web\10.1.2.2.0\application\labels
that changes email's panel.
But changing these files, does not effect on the email application.
so I have found a document that is about customizing Oracle Collaboration Suite
in Oracle® Collaboration Suite Administrator's Guide.
In this document there is comments for Customizing Oracle Web Access Client Resource Bundles,
I tried to do its instructions but I couldn't go forward because when I run the perl script,
I get access denid error for oracle_home.
Any idea about where to look for this problem? or any tip?

Changing labels of indicators and controls programatically

Hi all
I am working on a project which we need to release in different languages. I want to know do we have any facility to change the labels of controls and indicators programatically with a single button press. When i press the English button, all labels must be in English, When i press French button, all labels must be displayed in French.

Basically - changing the label is not possible. The only thing you could change is the control-caption.
But I don't know of an easy way to change the language on a button click. The topic itself was already discussed in the forums - just search for localization and/or language and you might find some threads on this topic.

If you're having trouble making changes to files that are inside your home folder (represented by a house icon in the sidebar of a Finder window), or if you can't get changes to the settings of an application to stick, then please see below.
Back up all data.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, they may not work as described.
Step 1
If you have more than one user, and the one in question is not an administrator, then go to Step 2.
Triple-click anywhere in the following line on this page to select it:

How can I change the language for the Quiz Results (labels on buttons and text labels)? Is this possible only manually each time, or are general settings possible?

For Quiz Slides you've already added to your project file you will need to change the labels manually. If you change your Quiz Settings and Master Slides that control the defaults and then add new Quiz Slides, THEN those slides will carry your new settings.

The default installation is to the language of your computer. He said do not mess with that ! then I got a text from somewhere to reset 4 pins suddenly it was very strange I said to him that I got this pin this morning but it said you can use maximum 3 hours it had a UK number and I told him I do not like this and will not enter the code he said do not do it if it is from the UK and then I said to him ok you did a lot to help but we can not go any further ! and we cut of I went back to my computer to re do the ID but I found everything a mess so I call and a stupid sounding Japanese women with a squeaky voice came on I was calm at first and they want your phone number your IMEI number your iPhone serial number date of birth Address email address it takes 10 munutes to check then they ask what are you caling about so I try to explain my keychain is broken or problems with language security questions and can not change my pasword because the security question have failed me so it is ONE BIG HEADACHE AND I START I GET STRESSED she says Do want an ENGLISH speaker ,I say yes ,that guy i talked to earlier but I never got his name and first time I ever talked to him but they said he is not here so I said ok and then she said today is sunday so call back in the morning ,I said ,well ok in Japanese but they make you feel stupid because they do not want to speak Jap@anese with none natives and they are to busy,And they feel that I should not bother them ,then I say that Apple Japan is trying to refuse Apple foreign customers and then she wants to hang up and ask me to visit the shop ,but they are the same I have a very bad time with Apple Japan since they do not discuss software problems or security with customer meaning if you have a problem they ask you to come on a time 20 minutes max so they do hardware test and say you phone is fine then I say no I can not reset my ID they say you must call call centre so I am going around in circles ,When I call English it is usually Australia so if my problem is in Japan surely if do not want me to talk to them in Japanese and they ask me to call Australia but every time my call charge is expensive after asking them is this free because I have Apple care they say yes but when the call goes to Australia 0120 277 535 it might change to paid call so I call then I have to ask is this charging they say we can not give you that information ! so what can I do I have have been at the computer and phone all day on my day off work and in tre week I am so busy and can not use my phone I can not work without it ,this new technology for you ,they can not cope with the fact that the customer have problems yet they do not want to deal with us because they can not solve it and so it shows them to be useless they like to walk around in their cool tee shirts and retro shop but when it comes to functionality we are unwelcome they got the money so do not return because apple is perfect that nothing should go wrong .
But it does somehow my English security answers do not work on a Japanese Question especialy if I did not choose that question I set up the multiple choice In English and wrote the answers in English or Roman and set them langauge preferences in English, do you really think you can correctly write english name or word in Japanese they write a police patrol car pato caa パトカア　they do not have r and l .So it is my choice to make my security easy for me and as difficult for others to hack.But they also have patororoo choo meaning ' now patrolling ' so why they have pato caa patrol car and patoro patrol and have thousands of Chinese words kanji they can find patrol.

How can i disable Illustrator from changing my language / keyboard layout.

I have an azerty laptop and a qwerty external keyboard. Switching from any application to illustrator changes the language and therefore also my keyboard layout. No other application does this.

But i have a laptop with azerty layout (Belgian) and an external qwerty keyboard (Brittish).
So i need both languages selected in the System Pref >> Keyboard >> Input source
When "Brittish" is selected and i switch from Apple Mail to Photoshop to Skype to Chrome to ... it all works fine.
Only when i switch to Illustrator it also changes my language/layout from "Brittish" to "Belgian" and stays like that. I need to manually change it back in the menu in Finder.
I like the brittish better (with a qwerty keyboard) because of the shortcuts (eg. sqare brackets -> shortcuts for order in Illustrator are not even on an azerty (Belgian) keyboard).
Any idea?

How to change sap-language parameter at runtime

I want to create a Change Language button on an webdynpro Application. I know that the parameter is determined during url creation, but i need the to give the user the posibility of changing the language without closing the browser and logging out etc.
My idea is to us an Outbound plug assigned to lets say a Button. The plug is connected to an Inbound plug og the very same Window. So actually the Application will reload.
The action on the button is like this
data: l_language type sy-langu.
l_language = cl_wd_runtime_services=>get_url_parameter( name = 'sap-language' ).
wd_this->fire_language_plg( ).
Then i read the current language - i.ex: E
But of course i will need to change the parameter sap-language to the new language - lets say: K

As far I know, there is no way to get the current url in browser. Alternately, you can get the url parameters and then construct the url with the parameters.
write the below code in HANDLEDEFAULT method of Window:

How to change PO Language Key

Hi people , hope anyone can help with this. How can i change de Language Key at the comunications TAB on the PO Header ? it`s grey from the start and i´m not being able to change it , even before i enter the Vendor. I´ve checked the IMG config menus and it`s marked as "Optional" but still i´m not being able to change it. I know this language key comes from the vendor master , but the idea of my client is to be able to change it while doing the PO . Is it posibble ? thanks a lot !
