Change language in Dream weaver CS5

Hi,
How can i change language of Dream Weaver CS5 from German to English?

This is as easy as it gets. Sorry to disappoint, but you rather be glad it is actually there and it's not like in other programs where you cannot switch languages at all. For all intents and purposes, this is not meant to provide an all out solution for flexible language switching, it is merely a fallback measure when the user needs to use prefab projects from the web or follow tutorials as wel las providing a compatibility fix for some plug-ins and scripts thatr do weird things in foreign language environments. Your program is still tied to the serial number you bought it with and that ultimately dictates any language settings. This also means that you cannot enforce other languages other than English. Would be pointless, anyways - you would have to have the proper Asian installer in the first place to even get the specific language files on your system. Same for otehr languages - a US/ North America installer will never give you Italian or German, just US English, Canadian French and possibly Spanish.

I think Premiere defaults to the language that the operating system is set to. But if you purchased in a specific language, then Premiere might have the necessary files for only that language. If there's a way to specify a different language through the UI, I'm not aware of it.

Change language in After Effects CS5

Hi guys,
I have AE CS5 and installed the whole thing in German (because I am German^^) but now I realize that for tutorials and so on it would be much easier in Englisch. So is there a way to change the language without reinstalling? I had a look for some answers, but the "Languages"-folder isn't located at
"C:\Program Files\Adobe\After Effects CS5"
I use the 64-bit-Version

Change language settings creative suite CS5

Hi everybody,
I am new on this forum, just bought the design premium creative suite 5.5 and I have issues with language settings.
I bought the pack in France (I am french), live in the Netherlands and wish to use the software in English.
At the first installation I filled France as country on my profile but that resulted in an installation in French,I thought I would be able to choose the language settings, but seems I couldn't change it. So I desintalled the pack, and try to reinstal, but the country question did not appear anymore, seems like I am stuck now.
Could somebody help me?
Do I have to fill a UK or US address to be able to use the suite in English? that seems a bit weird...

Edit: I have cleaned up the computer with the clean up tool, and erased all I could find, but I still have " Language: French" when I enter the serial number...

You can reinstall in English if your package supports it, otherwise there is no way to consistently switch languages. Photoshop can be tricked by installing in English without a serial number, then run the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool and installing again with a serial number in Spanish. After that you can choose the language in teh PS prefs. This method does not work with other programs, though...

How do I create a slide show in dream weaver

I just purchased dream weaver cs5.5. I need to mahe a slide show. I tried a flash,but my flash is out of date. I can't even figure out how to update it...I tried!
Any simple way to creat a slide whow? I tried the widgets....they are not good.....I tried enlarging them and placing a color back ground. then when I view it, it has not changed.
Please, I need to know how to create a slide show.

in addition to martcol's hint: You could have a look to "Adobe Widget Browser", for example: "html5 Video Player Widget" or "jQuery Cycle" or "Lightbox Gallery Widget" aso.
On the other hand there are really so many nice options and "gimmicks", like these ready-made solutions. Later, when you see the mode of operation and how they work you could use a DW-flash-show, ok?
Just look around in and on these pages and don't get confused by the large range, look at the different sides in peace, it is worthwhile.

PHP won't execute on Dream Weaver testing server

I have successfully installed an Apache server and MySQL using Xampp. Using Dream Weaver (CS5.5) I've created .php pages which (after setting up the site and testing server) successfully connect to a database. However, php code on those pages won't execute. The pages only display the text code when IE or Firefox links to http://localhost/filename.php. If PHP is running in other locations, then it's a configuration issue with the server whereby PHP is not allowed to run in the folder you have specified. I can tell you filenames and areas to look for, but I'm personally have never found the XAMPP installation to be the most intuitive when it comes to editing which is why I pointed you in their direction.
If you look in the httpd.conf file, you should see a DocumentRoot defined. Make sure that the site definition is within that document root. There should also be a Directory declaration ( <Directory "/path/to"> ) that should match the path of your DocumentRoot. It is possible to serve documents from different areas of your computer. Ususally this is done when you have things like phpMyAdmin above the root, so if you see multiple entries in there, some of which XAMPP installs itself, you should leave them alone and ask their support forum for help because they will know which entries the application puts in that you will not want to remove.

You should be able to switch in the preferences.
From the Library menu on Windows go to Edit >> Preferences (Lightroom >> Preferences on Mac)
Choose the General tab, and then use the drop down list for language. Select Swedish and then click OK.
Quit Lightroom.
Re-start Lightroom.

Changing the language in After Effects cs5

Hello, I'm trying to change the language in After Effects cs5 from German to English on a mac (10.8.5 osx). I've tried going to package contents/resources/AMTlanguages and changing de_DE to en_US but when I restart it and enter the serial number it says its incorrect for this product. I was able to change photoshop without any trouble but does anyone know if AE has a language specific license? help please and thank you!

Any standalone retail package is language specific as dictated by the serial number and installer. Lucky for you, you can easily set AE to English by creating a file called ae_force_english.txt in your user profile's documents folder. the file doesn't need to contain anything, it just needs to be present and named properly.

How to change language in Photoshop CS5 from Polish (or any else) to English? (Windows)

I have a Polish language version of Photoshop CS 5 and I'd like to change it to english.
I've tried by
Edit>Preferences>Interface: Interface language
but there is only Polish language to choose.
Is there english version to download anywhere?

Those of you who are legitimate Photoshop users - you know we're not talking to you. If you are a legitimate user, you should well be supporting those of us speaking to the people who have illegally downloaded a cracked version in a language other than their own!
It may well be a desirable feature for Adobe to support your changing the language. But they simply don't.
Possibly this is because pirated versions being limited to a single language cuts down the number of people who would want to download them. Maybe they sell more legitimate copies due to this than they would to multilingual people who would appreciate the ability to legitimately change language at will.
Or maybe there are good technical reasons why a different build is needed for Polish than English. There are differences in files, beyond the language resources, even between en-US and en-GB versions.
Clearly Adobe has made this decision with their eyes open. Go ahead and ask for a different decision, but it's unlikely it's going to get you anywhere. And for God's sake stop being put off by people who aren't tolerant of software pirates! The world needs more such people!

IWeb - Dream Weaver Tag Team

I used iWeb to design my site
and really dig how user friendly it is.
I don't understand why pro web design apps can't be this easy.
I want to use dream weaver only to make updates to my gallery.
This would keep me from having to re-upload the whole site with
any small change. Could someone point out how
I could add pix to my gallery in dream weaver and keep the layout from iWeb.
When I try to edit or add images it acts as though it is locked.

When you publish a site, only the pages that have changes to them get uploaded. To see this for yourself, you will notice in iWeb that any page on the page listing turns red when it gets a change. This means "has changed and needs to be published". So, iWeb is smart enough to recognize when something has been changed and not yet published.
Then when you tell iWeb to publish the site, watch the dialog that appears and you will see that only the changes page(s) get sent. It is likely true that iWeb sends everything on that page (all photos, for example) even for a minor text change on the page has occured. But this is much better than iWeb sending the entire site.

I don't know how to install the language packs for Dreamweaver CS5.5. I downloaded and ran the update (AdobePatchInstaller) but after that when I start the program and change the language, nothing happens.

XMP file have Dream Weaver Logo

I work on my pictures with Camera Raw on NEF raw files. I wanted to edit lots of pictures taken under same light conditions. Therefore I just edited one file. Normally I could for exemple open the next file say " load settings" and chose the XMP file of the picture I just edited.
But now, I get an error message saying the the XMP file has no data in it (but if I open it as text, there is a lot written there). I notice that the file has the logo DW (Dream Weaver). On my other computer, the file open per default with Mac Script. I tried to change this, but it doesnt work. I don't get the error message, but none of the according settings neither...
Is this a known issue?
What can I do?
I work on Mac OS X 10.8.5 and I am customer of Adobe Creative Cloud (I work with Photoshop CC6).

Command Spacebar opens Spotlight as you have found out. If you want to change languages you need to say what app you are using to write the story in, I'm guessing you are using Pages or MS Word. If that's the case
Pages: Open Inspector - Click the T tab - Click Language and change your language.
MS Word: Tools Menu - Language - Choose your language.
